Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Would definately return!

Hotel was clean, comfortable and grounds were beautiful. They take great care in the appearance of this resort. Food was fantastic in both the buffet and the restaurants. The beach was amazing - only downside is people reserving chairs at the beach.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Kind of an upset

The hotel staff were very friendly and staff by the pool were entertaining job well done. The food was alright, very repetitive and boring after the third day. Booked A la cart dinners the day I arrived and 2 reservations had to be made for 10pm towards the end of the week.. the pool areas were nice. bars seemed understaffed at times, drinks seemed watered down. in my opinion the most important part of the trip would be the beach, which I would have to say sucked. Considering I've been to other  [... read more]beaches in Tulum I was very surprised how rough and rocky the sand was and how tiny the actual swim area is. Also if I was aware of the neighbouring part of the resort Akumal I definitely would have booked it over Tulum. Left the resort multiple days and enjoyed the real beaches of Tulum 20 minutes to the south . usually 7 days feels short but not this time. I would say 3 star

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Another enjoyable trip to this resort

This is our third visit to Grand Bahia Dominican resorts, the grounds are spotless, the location is perfect, short distance from the airport, the beach is fantastic and the staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend this resort.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great trip at an ok resort

Incredible food, awful beach, great entertainment staff and ok grounds best sums up this resort. While the grounds are nice and clean, there's really nothing grand about the resort. Theres also not much for entertainment during the day other than your standard water aerobics, dance lessons and a quick game. Huge shoutout to Noel and Rinalli who worked around the clock during our entire stay, The worst part is how secluded the resort is. The night time set up is great with the disco and Kareoke bar combo but again, you get tired of doing the same thing each night. No major complaints as we still had a great vacation but it will largely depend on the crowd you get and your ability to make your own fun.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Totally awesome resort

We had an awesome trip from the time we landed until we got back on the flight to go home !! Service was great at reception when arriving, the room was clean towels daily we didn't have to call looking for them. Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Average

The good: Grounds were well maintained, clean rooms and a variety of food choices at the buffets. The bad: access card problems were annoying. The key cards failed 4 out of the 7 days. Multiple times in the same day. As a parent with small children this was incredibly frustrating. I wish I could express just how gut wrenching and infuriating this really was. Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: The resort beautiful, the rooms not so much

For the most part, the hotel was great. The room wasn't. Our toilet kept getting plugged and our shower didn't drain. We had 3 women to one room...important to for the tub to drain. The beach was filled with sticks and seaweed and the water had about 10 feet of that also before you hit clear merky water. If you want a nice beach this isn't the place to go. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Excellent resort for a family trip!

The grounds were beautiful, the room was great and we really enjoyed the space to wander around and explore. We spent lots of time on the beautiful beach, which was no trouble to get to walking or by shuttle. The staff were amazing. I would definitely go back to this resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good Resort

Hotel very clean. Maid service was excellent. Beach terrible. Last time we were at the Coba , the Coba beach was the better part of the beach. They changed the Coba beach to the Luxury Akumel . That was disappointing. Plenty of food. Bar service and food service not very good. Only 1 bartender at each bar. Food service: they very seldom came back to ask you if you wanted anything else to drink. First time we stayed at the Golden Club. Very disappointing.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Good time

This hotel is what it is, the buildings, stores and bars are definitely showing age, this resort is older however staff are constantly cleaning, painting and making an effort to keep the buildings presentable, the grounds are nice and kept clean. Pools were clean and plenty of chairs/loungers. The staff were nice and friendly. The rooms are dated but clean. There are little issues all around the resort because of its age. Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great value resort. Lots of fun and good food.

Thought the resort was very nice for the price. It showed its age a little but the staff did everything they could to make the most of it. I thought the buffets were well stocked with many varieties of food and I never went hungry. I also found the French a-la-cart to be fantastic, with the other two being OK. Overall we had a ton of fun, with lots to do during the day, including a mini-golf. The nights were also very lively with drinks until 2am, a karaoke bar (tons of fun) and a disco. If the beach is your main thing then stay away for sure but we found the pools very nice.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great resort

The ground of this resort was very well kept. The food was excellent lots of choices. I found that there was a lot of entertainment each night! The room was really nice and large and they were well kept! Overall I would highly recommend this resort

Cayo Levantado Resort: It was nice - but lots could be improved too

The hotel is lovely. Immaculate grounds and great staff. The buffet food was excellent, however the A La Carte food was poor. We couldn't even get an a la carte restaurant reservation until the 4th night of our stay - that's pretty shameful. When we did get into one of the restaurants, the ambience and service were both great but the food was not. Overdone beef and fish - no taste to it. VERY disappointing. We should not have had to pay for wine that was palatable - not when you're spending $6K on a 7 day vacation - yet we had to buy wine in order to have a nice drink. That increased the cost of the vacation and should not have been necessary. Even the Presidente beer was so watered down it had no taste. The rooms are nice, but the bathroom has no privacy - it has a large window looking into it from the bedroom. There needs to be a blind! The bed was as hard as a rock. I had sore hips every morning - and I like a firm bed - so it wasn't me..it was the bed. The free Wifi did not work most of the time. I ended up being stung with a large bill from my internet service provider for using 3G. That really should not be the case. It sounds like a lot of complaints - the resort is gorgeous but I would not say it is truly 5 star. Not when the food and beverage are substandard. We wish we'd not wasted the money. It was a pile and we were really disappointed.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing

we enjoyed our stay at the Bahia Principle Akumal resort. The Grounds were very well kept, the staff was very friendly. The rooms I thought were damp for sleeping would be nice to have open windows for a cross breeze at night.. The beach and the pools were fantastic. We enjoyed all of a la carte's except the seafood one. Was not enjoyable at all.. I loved this place and didn't want to come home. We will be going back again..

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Wonderful Family Vacation

The entertainment team was exceptional, something for everyone. The facilities were nice and clean, big and bright. Pool was great, everyone was friendly, great service. We met so many people who this was their 5th time going there, so that speaks volumes. Definitely would go back!

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great Resort

We arrived at the resort during a severe rain storm, well over 100 mm of rain. Our first day of our vacation had thunder showers most of the day and evening. The next morning the entrance to the resort, the lobby, the main pool and area, and some of the rooms were flooded with up to 6-8 inches of water. Our room was fine since we had a second floor room. By noon time the staff had the water problem cleaned up in most of the areas although the main pool was still contaminated with surface water. [... read more] The whole situation was a shock to some of the workers who I am sure had their own homes flooded out as well because some seemed to be over whelmed. The beach also took a lot of abuse from the rain. The mud and silt was from the shore out about 80 - 100 ft and the beach was full of sea grass trees and garbage. This problem was also addressed right away although it took almost the entire week to get the mess cleaned up due the lack of equipment. I was very impressed how they handled the whole situation in a timely and organized manner. With that being said the food was great,and there was always bottles of water , beer and pop replenished daily in our mini bar . We even got two bags of chips every day which was an unexpected treat. The rooms were clean and the bed sheets changed every two days. Although I don't go on vacation to watch tv not one of the 54 channels were English speaking. I really liked the lay out of this resort the way everything was close by and not having to walk too far for anything. I would give this resort a 4 out of 5 stars Todd Over all

Cayo Levantado Resort: Closest to Perfection yet!

Let me first start by saying that there are no true 100% perfect experiences. But this resort and its staff have come as close as we think is possible. It's how they handled the unavoidable little problems that happened during our vacation. Nothing remotely serious enough to even list. From the moment we arrived and were greeted to the time we left we were treated like close family members. Our Butler, Gabriel and his team of well trained staff looked after anything that we needed. Main Bar staff – Walki (our main Barman!!) and “Sony” the Bar Manager (but it's Walki's bar.... LOL), and of course Virginia is the “elegant ballerina” who served us when we were not seated at the bar itself. Beach Bar – Abel is the MAN!!! and Jose his faithful sidekick! Restaurants... Diego (Head Chef), Miguel (Food Service Manager) and Alphonso (Maitre D' ) – every night was special because of everyone that was working in the restaurants, but these three people need some accolades for their relentless work at making the eating experiences unforgettable. My friend who was travelling with us is a big fan of lamb... and he was rendered speechless one night (which is really hard to do) by the plate that he was served by Chef William in the Rodizio. Amazing. The Security Team is there ... but usually invisible – just the way I like it – thank you Alphonso! The Animation team as a whole was always ready to make our stay more fun with activities and shows. Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Amazing first trip down south

This hotel treated us like vips all week long provided us with amazing service and the staff was amazing . I also liked that they kept us entertained they got people involed in activites which was really cool

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Huge Resort

Hotel is very nice and clean, grounds are amazing, staff is awesome, food was very good, especially the a la carts. We liked it but it was a little to big and spread out, we have stayed at GBP in Punta Cana and this resort is four times more spread out that there! The most disappointing here though was the beach, it is rocky, chopped up and very hard to walk, nothing on Punta Cana!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Excellent Resort

The grounds were superb, trolley system efficient, pools nice but difficult to find a chair, food excellent at buffets, fair at a la carte, rooms 3.5 star. The staff were pleasant and anxious to please, always greeted you with "hola". Rooms overated!
