Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: 3rd stay and won't be our last

Overall an excellent stay! We've grown to love this place, the people and the ease of getting around! We highly recommend! We'll be back again. We've recommended this property to friends and have had them join us for stays this year and last, they too have indicated their love of the place!! You won't be disappointed.....GO!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: good resort horrible beach

hotel was great clean great view of ocean, fridge always stocked, the odd time through out the resort there was a septic smell, grounds were very pretty and well kept up. food was great too. lots of walking but we didn't mind it helped work off all the eating and drinking. the gym was also pretty good. Rooms were average size but always clean. bugs love my husband and this time he only had a few bites. Now my biggest complain was the beach....Seaweed was terrible, I mean terrible, piles everywhe [... read more]re and water was dark and murky from the seaweed being turned up, I didn't go in, if only they kept up on it maybe it wouldn't looked as bad, it was a small beach so it seemed worse maybe, so that was a disappointment if you are a pool person then having a crappy beach may not bug you as much. I probably wont go back but will try another resort in that area.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Resort!

We stayed in the adults only Sian Kaan but you have access to the entire resort complex, which is huge. There’s a trolley to take you from complex to complex, or to the beach. It was much bigger then what we are used to. But we still enjoyed our stay we just had to do a bit of time management in order to get to the restaurants on time as well as going down to the beach. The service was excellent. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. My only complaint would be that there is really no [... read more] storage in the rooms, I like to unpack my clothes and you really couldn’t do that in our room. We asked if all the rooms were the same and they said yes unless we wanted to pay another $400 USD to upgrade... no... all that would be needed to improve is to add a dresser. And the other negative was that the gym was not in the Sian Kaan complex and so i had to take the trolley about 10 mins to and from the gym which was crowded with teenagers. But all in all we had a great vacation and we would return for the price.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Amazing resort!!

Occidental at Xcaret was amazing! Very well kept pools and outdoor space. Happy staff, great service and awesome buffet. The steak house was to die for. The rooms were clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

The Fives Downtown Hotel: Meh

Location is good only a couple blocks from the beach. Roof top pool is nice but expensive. We booked a 2 bedroom and got there were given 1 - then we got downgraded because there was only one 2 bedroom left so we basically paid more for less. This room also took about 2 hours to be ready. Noises all around music doesn't turn off til midnight but the way the rooms are built it sounds like there's someone constantly moving furniture around making it hard to sleep since it's happening 24/7. Service [... read more] was great though they'd bring us 2 free water bottles each night. Overall I wouldn't go back it's not worth the money. The lobby was under construction the days we were there too so didn't get to enjoy much of that view as shown in pictures.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Awesome Resort

Beautiful resort, very very clean, great service, Wonderful food, it is 3 km from the adult private beech , which is beautiful and was raked of sea weed before the non Sian Ka’an area, Wonderful food through out the 4 properties. Access to 11 a la carte restaurants, all buffets on the 4 properties, trams run every 10 minutes . Good entertainment, nice wading pools but access to all pools at all resorts . Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful Resort - Bahia Principe Coba

This was our first time in Mexico and first time staying at a Bahia Principe resort hotel. Service - Service was excellent but staff are very busy and few of them which means it can take a while to get a drink. However, if you walked up to the bars...you were served very quickly. Same with buffet. I read a lot of previous comments about "rude or unhappy staff". What I witnessed was hard working & tired staff. NOT rude. From buffets to A la cartes… lots of variety, fresh and well cooked Beach - we weren't overly impressed with the beach. The Seaweed was very bad (not a resort issue) which meant we spent most of the time around the pools. Rooms - very clean Public Bathrooms - immaculate!!! Pools - Pool chairs with shade were hard to come by. Had to get up early to get one. Pools themselves were well kept and clean. Gym - Busy in the mornings. Good equipment. Friendly staff. Grounds - Well kept, groomed and beautiful. Getting around: This is one of 4 resorts together. Walking to and from for those who don't like to walk or mobility challenged, would be happy to know there is shuttle service available. Walking around resort could be done in about 15-20 min. Shuttle to the beach as it is quite a distance away. Check in / Check out - Smooth & quick Overall: Besides the beach (mainly the seaweed issue), were we very pleased with this resort. We would definitely return to this resort or any Bahia Principe resort.

Barcelo Maya Grand Resort: Just ok resort

The beach wasn't the best. Very rocky. A ton of seaweed. Room and pool was great!! Food was ok, no beach bar or BBQ. A la carte restaurants just average. Tokyo was awesome!!! Seen turtles off of the palace beach.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Decent resort

Overall this hotel was decent. The service was top notch and the food was very good. This is a great place for kids. However, as I read prior to going in another review, the pool (specially on the adult side) really wasn't clean went in it 2 times only and once to tje hotel beach. Unfortunately during our stay there was a lot of seeweed as it had rained in the days prior. Tje staff was working nigjt and day to clean the beach... but really there was so much that it was i.possible to get do [... read more]ne in 1 day... took them at least days. We were lucky as we foind another spot in Puerto Vallarta to enjoy the beach the rest of our stay (thank god!)

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Very clean resort

Very clean and beautiful resort. Most clean room I ever I had in all my travels. Food was just ok but I’m a picky eater. Beach was good and bad. Coba beach on bad days had so much seaweed. Tulum beach on good days was awesome. Shallow- great for young children with lots of fish to look at. Most negative part of the trip- my son new stuffed animal was stolen from our room the night before departure.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: 2nd time around just as good as the 1st

This was our 2nd time at the Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda. It was just as good as the 1st. Staff were very good, rooms were very clean. We had room service one evening and that was just as good. We plan on returning next year!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Huge resort with pros and cons

Arrived at Sandos Carocol Eco resort March 31-April 7 Superior Select Club Adults only was assigned to room 7013. Upon initial inspection room was clean and even had a swan on the bed made of towels.There were no robes, slippers, welcome bottle of alcohol as inclusion stated. Rep made aware of this as she called to remind us about the briefing. We could not attend the briefing due to wedding breakfast. We assured her that the omitted inclusions were not a big deal as long as we had a safe and [... read more] clean place to sleep every night. Rooms are in need of repair as we soon found out. Maintenance was called to our room to fix the air conditioning, a toilet that did not flush, malfunctioning safe, and the key entry system took 5 visits over 2 days to fix. The last maintenance visit lasted from 11pm to 1;30am. Management did sent a note of apology.t is a great policy to have guests present when maintenance working, as it protects workers from undo accusations but takes away from guests vacation time. ANIMALS I, was entertaining to see monkeys come around the pool and posing for pictures, the Coati running free in packs playing in the leaves and different species of birds and insects. I dont agree with barnyard animals in pens, and there were to many deer in the pen. Anyone that can afford to travel here has already seen these animals.Guests should obey the do not feed the animal signs as it is for the animals protection as well as the guests. FOOD We enjoyed the Brazilian restaurant for lunch. There was lots of variety at the buffet, fresh fruit was excellent, but signage was nonexistent. Snack bar at night was disgusting. We went one night to find nacho sauce, no chips,4 pots of cold unknown food. GROUNDS The public bathrooms were clean and functioning. The grounds were clean and foliage and flowers were amazing. kudos to the gardeners. We could go for long walks on the beach but it was rocky in front of the resort. Nature decided to bring in lots of seaweed while we were there for the week. THINGS TO DO Take a bike ride, a walk to see lizards basking in the sun. See the beautiful water fall, old ruins, and the water park. Kudos to the bartender Rosario in the disco, the maids,the gardeners and grounds keepers and the cook who made my eggs to perfection every morning. Also to the staff involved in the marriage of my friend April 3 on the beach, dinner was awesome and service was amazing at the event.

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Amazing resort!

This place is amazing. Great food, staff, and environment. The beach was kept clean and we never had to fight for a chair. The rooms are spacious and very nice bathrooms. Recommend the Mexican restaurant.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico: Beautiful resort

The good: the grounds of the hotel is gorgeous, and very different than most other resorts, with the meandering lagoon. Staff are courteous and very helpful. Grounds are kept very clean. the included entrance to the different parks, tours and activities, to me, would be the biggest draw for this hotel. guests can choose to be as active or to just relax around the resort as they choose. the taco stand is a must try, truly awesome tacos! the sunday brunch at the Xpiral is awesome also. The [... read more] not so good: food in on par with other resorts of its class. Some good, some so so. Buffets lacks variety, which was a surprise to me, and can be quite a long wait, at least for dinner, which again, I didn't expect. The bad: shower temperature. it fluctuates constantly. one second it's burning hot, the next second, cold. apparently, quite a lot of other guests have the same problem also. All in all, other than the shower temperature, I have really enjoyed my stay at this resort. and would go back if I come across a good price.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Awesome Resort

Royalton Cancun is the cleanest Resort we have been to. The food is excellent the staff very helpful and friendly. A little disappointed in our room we had garden view and it was a forest no flowers just bush very disappointed. We have been travelling with Trip Central since 2012 and travelled twice a year with Trip Central’s assistance. The flight with sun wing was also disappointing a half a cup of pop or water. Trip central sends us a $100.00 voucher that we will never use, I suggest trip central should pre book our seats free of charge in place of a voucher we will never use. We have not received any incentive for using Trip Central since 2012. Not even a discount on our flights

Breathless Riviera Cancun: 5 star resort!

Amazing resort with top notch service. Very high quality, clean and great food. Endless activities - the E team made things fun always. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone and will definitely be going back.

Paradisus Playa Del Carmen Roulette: Great Food and Service but Daycare atmosphere

Pros: -Amazing food with easy access to a la carte dinners -Great service from all staff -Clean rooms grounds Cons: -Out of control daycare experience while at the pool and buffet area on the family side. Perfect if you have a 3 year old with you but not for couples travelling alone. -No sports bar -No alcoholic drinks before 11am (no baileys in your coffee in the morning, no mimosas, and nothing at any bar or pool) -Beach is full of seaweed. El Dorado Seaside Suites: Great place to be

Everything was amazing here. The room was new, modern and huge. The unlimited room service was a savior for me and the food at the restaurants were was always fantastic. All the service was great, I have no complaints about any of it.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Excellent resort

The resort was very clean with endless food and drink options. There are multiple resorts on the grounds. The golf cart transportation was frequent and fast. You did have to wait during peak dinner and show times for an available cart to go between resorts but that’s to be expected. Downside-the beach. The water is shallow and rocky. Not good for swimming but there’s always the pools.
