Melia Costa Rey: Very nice resort!

This resort is very nice...the view when you come in the lobby is breath taken....you see the ocean from that angle! The staff was helpful and very professional. Our room was always clean! Food was also very good! a nice family resort!

Melia Jardines del Rey: Resort is too big

Resort is too big.Therefore understaffed.They run out of supplies.People lining up at buffets in hopes of getting something to eat.Its like black friday when the doors open.Staff was great.Beach was great but i would not return to this resort.

Hotel Mojito: Another great time!!

8th or 9th time here. Lost count. Fantastic, attentive and personable staff, from the bar tenders to the bell boys. Always aim to please and ensure your holiday is great. The food is decent for Cuban hotel food, though there are options to break the cycle if you need something a little different.

Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing Resort

We were very happy with everything about this resort. The grounds were lovely, the pool and beach were wonderful. We enjoyed the restaurants, the shows, and the many places to lounge. We also enjoyed the Sports Club (archery, shooting, playing pool and ping pong. The music was excellent and the staff were amazing. Our room was also everything you could ask for. The Sports Club could do with a make over.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Nice beaches

The resort had really nice beaches, fun events and friendly staff. The excursions were also lots of fun and reasonably priced. There were a lot of line ups though and they ran out of essentials like towels, toilet paper and soap regularly. The buffet and a la cart restaurants weren't the greatest.

Melia Cayo Coco: Second excellent stay!

This was our second time at this resort and our ninth trip to Cuba. The drive from the airport to the resort was only 20 minutes. Our standard room, 9412, was ready upon our arrival. It was nicely situated and recently redecorated. We hardly heard a peep from the people in the room above us. Both the maid service and turn-down service were excellent. We found the best coffee in the Snack Bar every morning after our beach walk at sunrise. We also enjoyed pizzas at the Snack Bar. We ate breakfast  [... read more]outside at the buffet. Endless choices! We also had two dinners at the buffet. We had lunch as often as possible at the Beach Restaurant. We enjoyed the live Cuban music there every day except Fridays and Sundays. Thank you Son Del Rio Cuba! Both the International Restaurant and Italian Restaurant were excellent for dinners. We also enjoyed Cuban food in the Italian Restaurant one night. The Beach Restaurant was unfortunately closed for roof repairs in the evenings. The beach and ocean swimming were wonderful for 5 days. It was too windy the other 2 days. The pool is very shallow but refreshing. There are endless activities and opportunities to meet people. The evening showtimes are put on by very talented and energetic performers. We were treated by the hotel to a group loyalty lunch. It was very much appreciated. Thank you for our conversation Alicia (with Customer Service). We will be back!

Melia Cayo Coco: A Quick Trip to Melia Cayo Coco

After days of no sun in Ontario, decided on a 4 day junket to Cayo Coco. Hotel is 10 minutes from the airport. Upon arrival, at the hotel, was greeted by the front desk staff. Check-in took seconds and the luggage was off to the room, I was off to the bar for an adult beverage! Next morning, had breakfast in the buffet. Melia Cayo Coco: Second Stay and will return

The Melia Cayo Coco, this was our second time to this resort in 3 years it went well beyond meeting our expectations. We were there in 2015 for our first time and loved it, but went elsewhere in 2016 due to a lower price at another resort, we were not however as pleased as we were with the Melia. The resort is beautiful and well kept and clean. The staff is exceptional,the service is wonderful. The food at the Melia is also fantastic, this is one of the many reasons, we found our way back. THE BEACH is amazing, especially after their hard work of expanding it in late 2016, more umbrella and palapas, always shade if you want it, never over crowded. All in all there is nothing we did not like at the Melia, we will definitely be back for a 3rd visit, the first year we had a party of 8 this time a party of 4, I can say without a doubt that we were all very pleased.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Loved the resort

The beach is amazing. Good food and lots of it . Lots of intertainment and amazing staff. Would go back again. We had a sweet lady who did up our room everyday . The grounds were well kept and the service was great. Hope to return in the future.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Awesome Resort, Awesome Holiday

My Fiance and I just got back from the Melia Jardines del Rey 2 days ago, stayed Jan 25 till Feb 1st. Travelled as a couple. We stayed in building 12 on the 3rd floor, honestly, best building! was close to everything. Just let me start by saying don't listen to the bad reviews, if you have been to Cuba before, then you know there is Cuba Time. We have been to Cuba 3 times, and other than the Melia, this resort is by far the best we have been to. This resort is amazing. The Staff are aw [... read more]esome, always trying to make your stay the best. The food was great, if you can relax and wait for them to make it for you fresh, then do so, much better. (you are on vacation, whats the rush?) tip: the 24 hour bar makes an amazing pollo chicken sandwich (chicken and vegetables sandwich...its a must try) We didnt do any A La Cartes as we just wanted to enjoy ourselves this year, but heard great things about them from others. The resort is big, yes, but everything is localized, making it really easy to get to the buffet, lobby, pools, and beach. The beach: The beach is AMAZING!!! its huge, and you can walk down to the cove to see starfish, kongs and fish. The ocean was like glass, so clear. Rooms were clean, always had bottled water, and tipped the beer guys for extra beer. No issues. Tip: bring your own beach towel. We were there when it was fully booked, (even though it didnt seem that busy) and was hard to get a beach towel, but we brought our own and just used those for the week, was no bid deal. Honestly, our only complaint, was some of the people who were there vacationing. They complained and were very rude at times (butting in lines, mad because you were there first for drinks, etc) Relax...Your in Cuba!!!! ps. yes there are mosquitos, we were told about them on our bus, and you are in a hot climate, bring bug spray and dont wear perfumes, you will be fine.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Comfortable and happily stay experience

Services, setup, and all facilities are good, if all restaurants, kitchens can be more organized, it wii be perfect. We have experienced flooding in night time after heavy rain, the sewage drain system may need services.

Hotel Camino del Mar: My 2nd time and I would go back again!

This resort is an older resort. The buildings and rooms are getting a little tired. If you are a person that doesn't like a crack in a tile or a shower head that is working like it was new.... then this isn't the resort for you. I will say that.... This resort offers... a buffet that is really good... yep great food in Cuba! The rooms are very clean. The resort is clean.. older but very clean. The beds are comfortable... yep comfy beds in Cuba is a score also. The pillows on the beds are a [... read more] little flat... but after a day at their amazing beach ... who cares... the beach in this resort is one of the nicest beaches in Cuba, In my opinion. Yes there is some seaweed that washes up over the night. But they do have a tractor and they do bring it out every morning to clean it up. The staff on the resort always have a smile and so friendly. They make you feel very comfortable. If you do have a problem they will look after it asap... now don't forget.... we are on Cuba time.. but it will get fixed. One thing you should know if you are planning on booking at this resort, It is a smaller resort. Right now there is a big section that is closed for renovations. So if you are wanting a resort that will keep you entertained all week. This isn't the resort for you. If you are looking for a resort that you can sit back and relax .. this is a good one. During the day they do have stuff going on around the pool. They do have a nightly show, and a disco but there isn't many people at it.

Sol Cayo Coco: Sol Cayo Coco

Had a fab time. Rooms were clean, staff very friendly. Food was good. We'd go back again. This was our second visit to Sol Cayo Coco. The grounds were well kept. Beaches were beautiful and garbage free.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Not a 4 star resort.

Registered with Sunwing vacations as a 4 star resort is a misrepresentation. The resort is old and in need of a facelift. Originally in a main floor room which was to have an ocean view but we had a sand pile to look at. Moved to a second floor room and we got a beautiful view. Complained that the door dead bolt didn't work but it never was repaired during our stay. The food was good but we both got stomach bugs on different occasions which wasn't good. Entertainment was just okay. Snorkelin [... read more]g available from the hotel for 20 CUC. We had high winds that day and probably shouldn't have gone out. Life jackets optional according to the guide. Bad idea! I would not recommend this resort to my friends. Beach was outstanding. Lots of comfortable beach chairs but beach towels not always available every day.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Amazing Beach

This resort could definitely use some updating. We don't believe it should be rated a 4* as advertised. We had no hot water for showering & the shower head was broken. The bed coverings were stained & the room was equipped with bare essentials. The hotel was over priced for what we received ( the beach was pretty awesome though)jerr

Melia Cayo Coco: Best Cuban Experience!

This is a very special resort. The staff is amazing. The grounds are lush. The beach is beautiful. This was our second time there in 7 weeks. We can't wait to go back! We would highly recommend Melia Cay Coco.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Pros and Cons

Pros: Beautiful beach, free paddle boats, catamarans, and kayaks (just took tips) and we saw starfish each time we took one out, water was shallow a long way out, rooms were a decent size and very roomy for our family of four, staff was very friendly and fun. Cons: very large resort, understaffed and overbooked, line ups for the buffets, bars and to get beach towels, difficult to get bottled water in room daily and had to reserve a chair early each morning at beach or pool or we would end up s [... read more]pending forever trying to find one that wasn't already claimed

Melia Cayo Coco: Nice resort

Good value for the money. Food and drinks are good, resort is small and quiet, rooms clean and functional. Staff always provides great service with a smile. All in all, a good resort to visit for a quiet week on the sunny, large beach.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Amazing experience

The environment was so welcoming, I went there with my partner had a blast. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We really annoyed the events every night. the dancing walking around the resort was all wonderful. The beach was beautiful clear water and the chance to paddle boat around the coast was amazing. Last but not least the bars were amazing the bartenders were skilled welcoming and made amazing cocktails. I would come to this reset again thanks for a wonderful experience

Hotel Playa Coco: Great resort

I loved the resort, the food was very good, loved the ice cream shop, pools are beautiful, staff was ok, the only negative I could say was the bugs, I got bit by small bugs, so bring bug spray and Benadryl spray, the beaches are beautiful too, always have chairs to tan on...
