Mystique Habana by Royalton: Brand new renovation of a classic 1943 building - Wonderful place to stay!

Ten out of Ten ! The Mystique Regis hotel provided us with a marvelous place to stay while we explored the heart of old Havana. Our room on the second floor was gorgeous and had 16 foot tall ceilings! Bed was comfy, all furniture and fixtures were brand new, lots of room, good A/C. Breakfast on the 7th floor was great (eggs how you like them with a large selection of meats, cheeses and fruits) and the staff were always friendly and efficient. Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Amazing Resort

Truly enjoyed every moment at this resort. Every staff member was courteous but more importantly they were genuine. The resort is well kept especially the gardens and the beach is wonderful. I will be returning for sure.

Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: beautiful beach

we really enjoyed the resort. grounds are well kept, staff were great. always so kind. Chicho always took care of us and our room. the beach is amazing, snorkel right off the beach, take the hobby cats out for a tour, paddle boats or go for a long walk on the white sand beach with crystal clear water. sting rays, star fish and may other little fish as soon as your toes hit the water. always lots of palapas on the beach. we only went in the pool once. hard to pull yourself away from the be [... read more]ach! we knew going to Cuba that there were food issues, so we packed snacks, ketchup, nutella and vodka. food variety was very limited. most days eggs for breakfast, no pancakes the odd day there was bacon and no milk for coffee or cereal. there was beef at the grill station the first day then none the rest of the week, some days chicken, and everyday pork. no fries, pizza, of hamburgers. so you have to be creative with the pork. very repetitive for lunch and dinner, same thing all week. desserts were very limited to icecream and jello and some very dense cake square. a la carts were very nice atmosphere but went to the steak house and no steak/beef. some entertainment in lobby was very good others no so much and some very loud, too loud for the space. we were in bungalow 3 and was easy access to everything. for a newer resort it could use some touch ups, the first room we were in the toilet ran constantly, the towel bar was barely hanging in front of the sink, and near Buffet #1 there was a room above that water was pouring off the balcony onto the roof, not sure if it was a broken pipe or what but we reported it, it stopped but then pouring out again for a few days. also noticed that bungalow 1, 2, 7, and 8 were not in use, the resort was definitely not to full capacity. the resort definitely has potential. but you have to keep in mind that Cuba is having a hard time getting supplies, the ports are not releasing and what ever resort is at the top of the chain get priority on supplies. please be kind to the staff, if you have any clothes, shoes, toys, anything. please leave for the staff. they are very appreciative for all of it. i would hope in the future Cuba is able to fix some of the supply issues and be able to add to their food variety. if they do i would definitely go back. this was our 6th time to Cuba and 3rd time to Cayo Santa Maria. just can't beat their beaches.

Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: Resort is beautiful

We had a different experience this time from last year - unfortunately there is no manager on site which is evidenced by lack of staff which in turn leads to frustration especially when checking in. We arrived at 1;pm However our rooms were not available until 5pm . Their are shortages of goods and wine not their fault However when you are paying these prices you expect better. Our rooms were clean and we were compensated for any issues we experienced in that we ate Ala Carte most nights.  [... read more]The pools unfortunately were murky towards the end of our stay they need to be shocked. The beach is beautiful and well looked after.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Fantastic Vacation

We stayed at Grand Aston Cayo Paredon March 22-29. The resort is new and absolutely beautiful. Our room had a king bed, a massive walk in shower, a lovely ocean view and a fridge stocked with beer and water. We were in bungalow 9 which is right next to the beach. The beach is soft white sand with lots of shady palm frond structures and recliners. We never had any trouble finding a place to spend the day. Other than the coral (which are easy to spot in the clear wate) , everything is sandy and soft and easy on the feet. There are 4 huge pools as well as a few smaller ones. They were sparkling clean and not overcrowded at all. The cabanas are comfy and relaxing. We found the food to be quite good for Cuba. There was lots of pork, fish, some chicken and beef, potato dishes, rice, beans, pasta, bread, a salad bar, loads of fruit, ice cream, and pastries. For breakfast there were eggs, toast, fruit, yogurt, juice, cereal and various vegetable and potatoes. The food was fresh and cooked properly. We really enjoyed the Cuban sandwiches and churros from the beach bar. My husband loved the coffee at the bars and the blended coffee on the beach. The gardeners brought young coconuts for drinking several times during the week. They ran out of cola for one day, but they had everything else the rest of the week. Lots of rum, beer, pina coladas, juices for mixing, vodka, tequila etc. There were some great live performers and we wished there were more! They were excellent. We were warned to bring toilet paper and toiletries, but they had enough of everything while we were there. The staff were incredibly hardworking and friendly. We tipped in US dollars and Canadian, and that worked fine. We did not exchange any cash. There was wi-if, which worked fine the few times we used it. We didn’t need our travel converter, as the plugs worked fine for our Canadian chargers, cpap machine etc. I would go back now if I could! We went on the snorkelling excursion and the trip to Moron, and loved both of our days away. Cuba is a beautiful country experiencing real hardship, so we tried hard to be kind and to bring some items from home to help. ❤️ 🇨🇺

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Hotel for Kitesurfing fan

Beautiful long beach/ Small hotel to relax for beach lover/ a lot of beach chairs and palapas/ very clean :washrooms and pool and on the site. very good room cleaning room service All hotels in Cayo Coco /Cayo Guillermo have shortages of Wine (red,rosé,white) since a few months,have to buy it at the tienda of the hotel (plan B)

Hotel Rancho Luna: Rancho Luna

They try so hard! Food was varied and plentiful, some renovations to the rooms (new air conditioners, some paint), staff was generally very pleasant and helpful. The place was nearly empty so the beach bar was hardly used. The beach was fine. I have been there MANY times and would not recommend it to young people. Most tourists are older and regulars. The entertainment was minimal, and the entertainment director is a young fellow who should NEVER been issued a mic! The city seemed so sad. I would recommend this place to anyone who has been to Cuba and does not expect luxury. Money issues were interesting. No one wanted Cuban pesos. I brought US one dollar bills and Canadian fives as tips and taxi fares. Credit cards in most stores.

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful mature gardens

Amazing people and landscapes. Just a great overall experience. Staff all over the resort go above and beyond to make your vacation memorable. Have been to Cuba many times and very aware of the shortages. If there's something you can't do without be sure to bring with you.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Great Week!

We travelled here on March 22 2023.It is approx.1hr 15 min from airport.The resort itself is very modern and well kept grounds Beach and staff are 5 star.Rooms are very clean.If you are looking for a small relaxing resort this is the place for you.Everything is very close .We did not ever have a hard time finding a chair by beach or pool.Dining is Cuban fair shortages at times but never left hungry.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beautiful resort

Beautiful gardens, beach and pool. Snorkelling was amazing! Gardeners at work daily keeping things neat and sweeping walkways. General public areas well maintained. Rooms were very clean. Yes, some food shortages on some days but not really an issue, lots to eat. The staff were amazing and so willing to accommodate. That more than made up for rooms bring slightly dated some fixtures about resort could do with a bit of maintenance. A la cartes pretty good, lack of wine first week we were there but no issues second week. The few negative issues are not enough to keep you from visiting this beautiful resort.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Good resort

The rooms, the grounds, the beach, the pool, and the staff were amazing. The food was ok, but it would have been nice to have some soft drinks or juice where water was limited. Everyone does not drink alcohol all the time. Our room was very nice but we had no hot water at all. By day 6, we had hot water from one of the two bathroom sinks. We were dreading taking a shower every day after the beach before dinner.

Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: great resort 4th. trip to Cuba and this is by far the best

this is an awesome resort for Cuba, well maintained,rooms are very nice and kept clean, modern faculities,staff very helpful and friendly, food is very good and a good variety, pools are excellent and cleaned daily as the walking paths and pool area. One thing I would like to see is umbrellas for the sun, they have sun beds and half have a top but there are not enough and they are gone so fast in the morning, towels on them and half of them are empty until the afternoon

Gran Muthu Imperial: Disappointed

I usually don’t write reviews but will make an exception for this one. I was very disappointed in this resort mainly for the price I paid. Pros- beautiful resort, clean, friendly staff. Cons- power went out 3 times, lost water in whole resort for a day, no clean towels and had to beg for the ones we got, maids would pick towels off the floor and hang them out on our patio to dry, room not cleaned for 3 days straight, there was hair in our tub from day one and remained there until we went  [... read more]to customer service and asked to have tub cleaned, had to beg for toilet paper, closet didn’t work in room which made it difficult to get into bureau and safe, brand new coffee machine in rooms but no coffee pods, food was very limited, no fruit, butter, pasta, bread periodically and what food was there was cold no matter if you were the first ones there, no white wine, beach was the worst I was ever on, no beach buffet which was advertised in brochure, entertainment terrible, the girl dancers looked like they didn’t want to be there, animators spent most of their time partying with there friends rather than try to keep guests entertained and who does Zumba at 5 pm

Brisas Guardalavaca: Absolutely gorgeous

The Hotel stay was fabulous, staff were great and respectful and when asked for things they acted right away. I definitely will be going back . I hope to return next year with my family we all had a wonderful time.

Melia Las Antillas: Great Vacation!

We just got back from a fabulous and relaxing week at this resort. This was our 8th time in Cuba, so we knew what to expect concerning the hotels and food. This resort is tired and needs updating, especially the rooms and bathrooms, but it's clean, and the staff is friendly. I must say I was very impressed with the food and the buffet restaurant. The pool is clean, and the beach is stunning. The entertainment is ok, and the pool show is nicely done. Colon and Raul at the pool bar are excellent and so friendly. Wendy, Ana, Laura, Marilyn, Pavel and Cachito at the buffet were amazing. Lyonel at the front desk was great, checking us in and ensuring we were happy with our room. Robert, Ramon and the ladies at the outdoor lobby bar were outstanding. The animation team was a lot of fun. Canadians were hosted to appetizers and drinks the night before we left, which was very nice. We did find the beach lacked music. Most of the action happened around the pool. There was a shortage of wine, cava, and one day milk, but it's a problem at all Cuban resorts. Management does their best to accommodate you and are all very friendly. Overall it's excellent value, and remember you're in Cuba.

Brisas Del Caribe: Amazing resort

Everything was amazing after covid felt so safe, room cleaned everyday. Aida hairstylist is amazing, Jorge the amazing egg man can’t ask for a better omelet,,Julio best waiter in resort. Pool entertainment is amazing. Clean beach . Lots to eat. Wonderful shows every night at 10 pm lots for kids to do

Blau Varadero: Blau Varadero - a very, very nice resort!

The grounds of the Blau are beautiful & well-maintained. The inside of the building is lovely as well and the bar area, activity area & upper floor restaurant are very nice and spacious. My room was terrific. The staff were all very nice & helpful. And the activities were lots of fun. The food & drinks were very good, especially at the Palma Real restaurant - extra special.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Just OK

The beach is beautiful, although if you are not there by 730am, you will not get a spot, the pool is great too but same issue with spots, 730 everything is taken...noticed that people actually had reserved signs on the chairs and sometimes the chairs and huts never got used all day, very annoying...No sheets on the bed and when i asked the maid, she just said "no sheets"...we slept with the filty brown blankets from the closet all week...Food was ok but exactly the same every day...no make your  [... read more]own pasta and no white wine the whole week I was there. Went to book restaurants 2nd say as we arrived late, Italian was full so we didnt get it....line ups to get into the buffet...

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Great place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary

The hotel was beautiful. Room was exactly what we were hoping for perfect view!!! The service throughout the hotel was excellent especially my friend who cleaned our room smiles everyday. I would love to return to this hotel providing they changed the food.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Disappointed travellers!

Travelled in January 2023! My first poor review of any hotel in Cuba! This hotel lacks basic hygiene and bare necessities! No running water for 5 out of our 7 day stay. Only hot scorching water! No functional toilet either until our second last day! Bedding stinks and dirty! Front desk seemed overwhelmed with the lineup of customers complaining, customer service takes notes- that’s about it!
