Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Room annoyance

The resort overall was very beautiful, a lot of places to dine, beach on the grand side did not have rocks in the water. My biggest disappointment was when checking in. After making note that we wanted 2 double beds we were given a king for 3 adult women. We were told that a cot would be delivered to the room. After a long travel day we checked in and went to dinner, enjoyed the musician in the lobby before returning to the room. Catalonia Montego Bay: Average resort. No major complaints

Pros: staff are generally friendly. Snorkelling is right at your feet. Jerk hut. The Italian restaurant. Island beach. Cons: No bar on the island beach. They can’t spare any bottles of water. Staff ask for food. Rooms aren’t great (but clean!)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this resort. The staff was so warm and polite. The room was comfortable and clean. The food offered was full of variety and was simply the best. We loved the beach. The water was not too deep band was clean and clear.

Riu Montego Bay: Riu Nice. Jamaica Nice.

Pros: Clean and immaculate. Staff was helpful and friendly. Lots of variety with food, drinks, activities and amenities. Cons: I did not get my birthday package as promised. I did not get the room I was promised. I was never told airport transfer was included. Some of the bartenders were rude but the others were extremely polite.

Riu Negril: The riu

The resort was good and the staff to the only down fall was the rooms were too far from the entertainment and from the dining area.when we landed at 3.00pm the bus was full and we had to wait for the second bus. That bus waited so long to pick passengers who did not show up once we were on our way the bus stalled 5-6 time and because of that we reached the hotel after 7.00pm. Also we did not get a full 7 day stay as we reached at 7.00 pm and we had to leave at 4.30 am. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Nice resort

The environment is beautiful, the room is spacious, the foods in the restaurants is good. The resort (Luxury Bahia) hard to swim on the beach, it is too much rocks & seaweeds, we had to walk to other side (Grand Bahia resort) to swim.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: A place worth considering for vacation!

The Bahia Principe lobby is breath-taking. The staff are friendly and are always available to assist you. The grounds are immaculate. Staff are always working to ensure the parameters are clean and maintained. The buffets provided more food than I expected it would be. This was my first time at Bahia Principe and it won't be my last.

Resort was absolutely beautiful and well-kept (especially given its large size!). Many options for food, and good food at that! Staff are friendly, entertainment was good, 10/10 recommend this place

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Great Resort

The resort has been newly renovated. The beach is great, very calm. Rooms are good, food is amazing and the staff is very attentive. I highly recommend this hotel. Just make sure to put some insect repellent if you are going to the beach after rain, especially after 4 pm. Those low flying tiny insects are vicious.

The hotel itself was beautiful and it was surrounded by gorgeous landscaping and an amazing ocean and beach. The food at the buffet was not bad and had Jamaican food options which was appreciated but nothing outstanding. I stayed in a premium room and all rooms on that side had a foul odour of sewage and was constant. The smell would not go away. My tv didn’t work I called down for repair and no one ever came. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Very dissapointed

Beach, pool and common areas are very nice. Clean and well maintained. Would have preferred a bar or servers to go around more often Food ... it was bad. Too salty - even in the specialty restaurants. Also, need more aircon/fans in restaurants. So hot that we had to cut short on one of our dinners. 2 or 3 times, we were told that they don't have our selection from the menu. Not happy with the service either. Especially at bars and at some egg stations for breakfast. Room was adequate. Air con [... read more] works perfectly and everything was clean. There was a broken chair and the safe was not working but it was fixed right away. Note that there is only one outlet near the bed and we needed two for our CPAP machines. On top of that, on one night, there was no electricity for more than 1.5 hours, meaning our machines could not functioned at all. There was a party going on past 1 am, right under my room.

The resort is beautiful! The renovations to the rooms, buffet area, etc. are lovely. Beach/ocean are a 10! Food is good and lots of variety. The hour and a half drive from the airport is worth it!!

The beach was really nice and the water was great for swimming. The hotel has 3 tiny pools and they are a major disappointment. The food is really good however the staff can come off as rude . The hotel staff needs customer service training asap. They are not unfriendly however they could really use some training. The bar staff also needs training and they would not make eye contact and you feel like you are bothering them when you ask for a drink.. and I hardly drink. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Fair and budget friendly

The hote offers various options for swimming and family activities. Service in the restaurants is not consistent and can be improved. Sadly for one of the nights we had to leave a specialty dining due to cockroach on table . The restaurant staff never followed through. We had to do our own customer advocacy for the experience by requesting to eat at the Brazilian The other disappointment was the poor service from the onsite WestJet rep at the resort. Coco La Palm: Great resort

Wonderful! The location is on the best part of Negril’s 7 mile beach and the food at the restaurant is very good. Best of all the staff is amazing. My wife and I have been there many times and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Marc Ottawa May 15th to the 26th 2024

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Amazing Resort

Good value for your dollars. Well kept grounds. Love the swim up bar and the size of the pool that gave the illusion of almost being in the ocean. Very friendly staff. Food was plentiful and delicious......anything you desire was there. Well stocked mini bar. Great restaurants. Suite was large and comfortable. The oversized king bed was a bonus and most comfortable. Love their environment approach of eliminating plastic water bottles. Had a system of filling large bottles (2 at a  [... read more]time) with water from filtered water machines that were located on each floor. I was impressed. They need to improve their check in process...too long.

This resort is ginormous, make sure if you're for the day on the beach, don't forget anything otherwise it'll take you 20 mins to go back to your room, that's how big this resort is ....we loved it!!!

Riu Ocho Rios: Great Resort

Traveled May 12-19 Food was amazing lots to choose from. The staff were very friendly and helpful . Excellent service. Hotel very clean , Rooms are nicely renovated quite spacious. The ground are well kept. However would have like to see a beach bar within close proximity to the beach and some umbrellas for extra shade on the beach.

What a Gem of a Resort. The entrance of the Resort is like Royalty. Food was great especially the Buffet Restaurants, so many food choices, great entertainment, the grounds very clean and well kept not a piece of garbage to be seen anywhere. Very pleasant and respectful staff. My only two suggestions is that the rooms are lovely but needs a little tender care especially the tiles in the bathroom, shower doors and the area that is designated for smoking should be moved elsewhere.
