Great time!

We enjoyed our stay at Grand bahia principe golden royal! Rooms were very well kept,resort ground kept beautifully. Service was fabulous from all of the staff. Food was not bad. Never felt that any meals we hot. Not even at the a la cartes. In general an amazing large resort!

Great beach, food, and shows!

This was our first all inclusive. Beach was the best I've seen, but there could have been more chairs. Buffet and restaurants were great. Shows were an unexpected bonus with a different one every night. Room had some issues that required repair, but the resort was quick to fix them. Construction of adjacent resort from balcony was a nuisance, but we spent most of the day away from the room. I would definitely consider visiting in the future or trying another Bahia Principe resort.

Excellent vacation!

Almost perfect. Enjoyed every minute. We can't say enough about the food, beach, staff, accommodations and entertainment. No complaints about anything, only that one week is too short. Can't wait to return next year.

Beautiful Resort but very big

This resort is very well kept, the grounds are impeccable. Easy to get around with the trolley's going every few minutes. The rooms were nice but have a musty smell due to the humidity. The pools & beaches are beautiful. The only thing we did not like was having to get up early to put your towel on a chair, or you would have a hard time getting one. (We were a party of four.) Great Vacation!

The resort was lovely, HUGE but very clean and well maintained. The staff were wonderful, always greeting tourists with a smile and a "Hola!!" Our room was spacious and clean, the maids do a wonderful job. The beach was beautiful and the pool was awesome. Our travel times to and from the resort were excellent, arrived at noon and left at noon. Food in the buffet was very good as were the 2 a la cartes.

We bin in Bahia 3 times. We love it. Exellente.

Everything is vary good except washrooms by the beach. You need more of them and clean them often. Most of the times they were dirty. Love the beach, it was always very clean. I never use the pols. Sometimes it vas hart to find chairs. You should get more of them.

Nice resort with a few hiccups

The resort is very clean and beautiful. The beach is gorgeous and someone rakes seaweed all day long. We had a room in royal golden. Nice size room kept very clean by our housekeeper who was super sweet. We never saw any cockroaches or bugs of any kind. The fridge could be kept a little colder and air conditioning. We enjoyed all of t [... read more]he a la cartes. I didn't like how busy the buffet was. Sometimes very long waits and people can be rude budding in front of you. Also, we found the service at breakfast from the servers to be lacking. What ever you do, do not sit at a table that has instant coffee on it, you may be yelled at lol! Service was better at lunch and dinner. The snack bar by the pool was crazy busy. On about day three we found a lunch buffet that is the bbq restaurant at night that was much more peaceful. I just didn't find this resort overly relaxing. We had to get up and down to the pool and beach to reserve a chair of you were out of luck for having any shade for the day. Believe me, you need it. Weather is hot and beautiful. We travel twice a year and have never seen chair saving like this. We also had problems when we arrived. We did not receive a welcome drink which is no big deal but would have been nice. Then when we got to our room neither of our cards worked. We were told someone would be right back. Half and hour later we called front desk and no one answered. Finally after an hour, we just got on the tram and went back to the lobby ourselves. It was just a bad start after a crazy flight with air transat. Over half the plane was university students that took up all of the flight crews attention. They were blaring music, partying and pretty much out of control. I even had to line up at the back of the plane to get a coffee.(Not like we could sleep!) Then we had to wait on the plane while the police came on and arrested two of them. I swear the longest flight of our lives! On the way home, our luggage was delayed and we were over an hour waiting for it. Not sure what happened there?? Not sure I would book with transat again, It really left a sour taste in our mouths. We also never received turndown service which apparently was on of the inclusions. We also had to drag our own luggage down to the lobby on check out as well after 2 phone calls to the bell boys. That aside, we did have a nice vacation. We loved Tehani at the lobby bar. Lilia at royal golden is amazing at her job and went above and beyond. All the swimup bartenders and beach bartenders were awesome! Mary at the spa gives the best massage! Not sure I would return because the service was too inconsistent. I also prefer a smaller resort that is less crowded. Beats the weather in Canada though!!

Awsome resort. Totally beautiful. A Paradise.

Everything was perfect. The hotel its self was beautiful and very clean.The front desk was very informative, and the food in the restaurant in the lobby was fantastik. Coffee was amazing also in the lobby. The people there are very friendly, and nice. I felll in love with the Dominican people. They are so sweet, & work so hard. The ground's are simply beautiful and well kepted. Can't wait to go back again.

Great time!

The hotel, location, etc. were all fantastic. There is a long walk (or shorter trolley ride) to the beach. Some of the walkways were under construction and caused some inconvenience. Pool bartenders (Jose Manuel and Blandino) were superb!

Beautiful Resort

I thought the resort was excellent. Very well maintained and clean. Rooms, pools, restaurants, washrooms very well kept Enjoyed the evening entertainment each night. Many activities to keep you busy... A little disappointed in the house wine. Trip Central did an outstanding job.

Trip to Punta cana

Fantastic resort, great food,very clean rooms, very friendly staff, eager to please, our second time there and hope to return next year!!!i would highly recommend this resort , beautiful white sandy beaches, lots of excursions available if you wish to do so, and much great entertainment during the day around the pools and on the beach. Plenty of entertainment in the evenings in the theatre or main lobbys

Great resort

The resort is wonderful. It is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a huge resort, so if you want to keep fit you can walk everywhere or take the little trains to transport you from your room (if not close to the beach/pool) to the pool and beach. The food is delicious and lots of variety in every restaurant. The entertainment is great and different most nights and there is something of interest going on in different locations, i.e. lobby, poolside, theatre. Awesome vacation!!

When we arrived at the hotel we found out that we had been upgraded. Which was nice. On the way to our room we took the golf cart, that goes everywhere, and the drivers carried out luggage up to the room. When we got to our room it was so nice and welcoming. The staff were amazing and friendly! They helped make the experience amazing. The food was fantastic. Trying things I have never had. The beach was great. Clean and clear. Not really organized that the shuttle bus didn't pick us up that we were trying to find our own way to the airport so we didn't miss our flight. We will definitely go back!!! :)

Excellent Resort in all aspects!!!

We were upgraded to the Esmeralda Section of the Gran Bahia Principe Complex in Punta Cana. It was wonderful in all aspects, the staff, food, room, grounds were impeccable as well as the pool and beach area. Trip Central made sure of our requests such as king size bed, upper floor of accommodations, non smoking, etc. to our delight. The service was wonderful.

Excellent Resort!

Big resort with lots of activities and things to do. Service was excellent. We had the Golden Package. It does not give you a lot of extras but we checked in and out quickly and anything we asked for was taken care of asap because we could go to the special area for those who upgraded to Golden. Food was great. Always available and always something good to eat. A la Cartes were good as well. Disco fun most nights. 30 minutes from airport. Beach was always clean and we always found chairs to use  [... read more]even when we came down late. Ocean was rough but that made it fun. Pools are clean and there are lots of them to use. By the beach for activities or further up for quiet.

Resort is way too big

You can't walk around to see everything you need a trolley to get around. The food was terrible and unless you speak Spanish good luck on getting someone who really understand English I would not go back and a lot of people I spoke to said the same very disappointed

Huge resort!

Most lush and green grounds we have ever seen at a sun resort. Impeccably clean also. Shuttles run every few minutes but a short walk if you prefer to wear off the food and drink! Beautiful beach area.

Great resort

My daughter and I went on this trip and had an amazing time. The resort was beautiful, food was very good and the staff were amazing. I would recommend this resort and would be willing to answer questions if anyone would like.

Well keeped resort

Beautiful resort clean rooms well keeped grounds amazing people nice beach huge swimming pools good entertainment The down side is almost the same food every day but a lots of choices it doesn't have 24 hours restaurant it's only open until 4 AM the food is not great

Nice place to stay

The hotel was very nice, and very large. The rooms were ok, the bathroom was awful. We requested a top floor, corner unit, and didn't get either. The food was very good, lots of choice and enjoyed the theme nights.
