Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Great Resort

Hotel is clean, staff are great, food is good, and beach is amazing! We loved this resort, had a wonderful time, and would go back. My mom required a wheelchair, and one was provided. Customer Service was great, and helpful when we needed towels, and a wheelchair. I would go back!

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Just ok

Ok for Cuba. Royalton has a good reputation and we have been in a few of their different locations. So generally when we choose our destination, Royalton is the first one we consider. We love Cuba, the people and Varadero beach is one of a kind. Positive for Hotel, really liked the service offered by Rene and Roberto to be the point of contact. The  [... read more]stair cases and hallways of the building we stayed wasn’t clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating if they were given tips except the bartenders and servers at the main bar. They were not happy even with the tip. Not approachable. Not friendly. Lots of attitude It seemed they really didn’t want to be there except only one short hair blond lady server a bit older. She was smiling and super nice. It seemed the young dark hair server and the bar tenders needed a bit of a pick me up drinks or we didn’t tip enough - not sure what the issue was !! Negative : supplies - No one goes to Cuba for food and this is not our first time going to Cuba either and we are fully aware of the economic hardship over there but if you are running a resort in Cuba you have to at least have some fruits. The fruits being sold by the farmers in town were great and it seemed they had plenty. Not sure how the Royalton can’t afford a ripe Papaya, and watermelon or enough supplies of mangos. Overall the hotel was good unfortunately won’t go back to Cuba for various reasons but if we did, we probably choose Royalty again. Also our arrival time was late , past midnight, the service could have been a bit better. We had to carry our own luggages to our building which was far. A buggy ride would have been useful

Blau Varadero: Would definitely recommend

I just spent a week at this resort and would definitely return and recommend. The grounds were beautiful and extremely clean. The hotel was a good size. Not to big, spotless, had everything that you needed. Food was good with a variety. Drinks were very good a large variety. Rooms were updated and kept very clean.

Memories Jibacoa: Cutest adults only resort

It's a small resort but very cute and the grounds are very well kept up, neat, clean. The beach is beautiful and amazing there are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas did not have to fight for any of them. There is a beach restaurant with excellent food. There are three restaurants you need to book two of them are delicious. The Italian restaurant was awful they do not know Italian food or how to cook it. Sol Palmeras: Sol Palmero

The positives were: The staff were extremely friendly and always happy, Lobby was beautiful, The pools very clean, The dining room had lots of food and a really good variety. Rooms were very good, bed very comfortable....The only negatives were the bathrooms needed updating, no hot water most days and the internet was sporadic.

Hotel Bella Costa: Just what we needed!!!

A big shout out to agent Jim O'Neil for his valued support and kindness throughout the booking process. We enjoyed our entire Bella Costa vacation April 2025. Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Great still new!

The resort is still in new condition and the location is great. I was very disappointed because the air conditioning in my room didn’t work at all, But I didn’t let AC situation ruin my vacation. Other one is the beds weren’t clean I had to request them to be changed for clean sheets. Overall I like it I would go back if the place gets a real manager.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: The staff are Amazing

Just back from awesome week at this beautiful resort The staff were amazing So friendly Special thank you to our butlers Miguel and Joel. Anneris at breakfast and lunch buffet Thanks for bringing us ice cream everyday. Randolph at Sukura for cooking and entertaining us and the gentleman who made the desserts Yummy Yummy. Paradisus Varadero: Thinks work ish

Great beach and sea, nice and clean resort , great entertainment. No water sometimes, ( 3 days) no TP in public washrooms, food selection is modest. Beer in the fridge ony twice ( the reason: they dont have any) .

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: My Cuba Expierence

Starfish Varadero: Vacation

We recently returned from a stay at this resort in Cuba and had a mixed experience overall. The beach was by far the highlight—stunning white sand, clear turquoise water, and plenty of space to relax. The resort grounds were clean and peaceful. We stayed in a garden view room, which was quiet but quite a walk from the main areas. Since I don’t like using elevators, getting to and from the room involved several flights of stairs, which became tiring. The food was okay. The buffet and snack bar [... read more] were the only regular dining options available during our stay, as the other restaurants weren’t open. We did try one of the à la carte restaurants, and the food and service there were excellent. It would’ve been nice to have more variety throughout the week. Unfortunately, I experienced food poisoning during the trip and felt unwell for several days, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the vacation. I wasn’t able to eat much, and it was challenging to recover—especially since food couldn’t be brought back to the room. Despite that, we still managed to have a good time, and the beautiful beach definitely made the trip memorable.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Wonderful Resort

What a great time we had. This hotel reminded me of Mexico the way it's laid out. Small resort with a big heart. Not a lot of walking, elevators for people that need them Rooms are very clean, nice comfy beds, clean towels daily. The maids did a fantastic job daily Food was exceptional for Cuba Omelettes every day Chicken, fish and beef daily Rice dishes, fresh vegetables Fruit was a treat, fresh mangos, pineapple and papayas Bread and butter, yummy Not shortage on those We did not have pas [... read more]ta or French fries but we didn't miss them Staff for the most part were beautiful (there are a few that didn't want to make cappuccino for us every morning) so maybe move them to a job they prefer The music in the lobby was amazing we truly enjoyed every evening in the lobby The beach is fantastic yes the waves are fun, if you are looking for no waves go else where. Resonance Musique Varadero: Very good place for party people

We where disappointed at first with the noise at nights. We were told that we can't expect anything different at a party hotel. After two sleepless nights, we got another room and didn't have no problems. The food, compared to other places and different times we've been in Cuba, was extremely well in comparison. Layout of the resort is very good and the beach first class. However, next time we'll book the adjacent hotel Resonance Blue, which was very quiet and nice. A little more walking to the  [... read more]beach, but we did like it.

Memories Jibacoa: Another wonderful 2 weeks at Memories Jibacoa

This resort is well stocked, lots of food. We had lots of bread, ketchup, mustard, even had french fries and pizza. The room was great, water pressure and temperature is good. Staff are amazing, all of them are great! The beach is lovely, great snorkelling, plenty of beach chairs. We will be back!

Los Delfines: Great

Great location, staff were very friendly and helpful when needing anything, the beach was beautiful. A small resort so everything was very accessible which worked for me 3 bars, buffet and snackbar were great,The only thing that was missing was a 24hr snack bar which would make it the best of the best!

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Beautiful, super clean resort

The hotel was impressively clean and all the staff friendly and attentive. The food was surprisingly good but was tired after two weeks of it even though they would add new things to the buffet at times. Pools were clean, entertainment every night and staff/guest participation of fun during the day by the pool. Bars were well stocked and the espressos were excellent!

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Nice resort

Food was great for Coba. Room was fine. But toilet did not flush for two days. Air never worked. But in general pool was loads of fun. Ocean a bit wavey for snorkeling or swimming. I will return in the fall do overall the hotel is clean and new. A great place to visit

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Good resort

Would recommend ! The staff were friendly and the food was decent, there was a flood in our building but our floor wasn’t affected, took them a few days to resolve it. Would recommend the Asian a la carte.

Paradisus Varadero: Wonderful family getaway at Paradisus Varadero!

My husband, daughter and I enjoyed our week at the beautiful Paradisus Varadero! It was breezy all week so no bugs and not too hot. Was perfect. The beach is beautiful, grounds are beautiful and the majority of staff were hard working and lovely. The resort is well kept by the hard working, pleasant staff. Only complaint would be the main/public bathrooms were not always well stocked with tp or soap so I’d recommend having something just in case. Between us we ate well, had lots of vegetables, beans, steak, chicken, pasta, ham, pork, crab, mussels, sweets for dessert. Eggs for breakfast, toast, hash browns. Our favourite place to eat had all these options, it was the main buffet. The waiting staff, cooks were all friendly, attentive and hard working. I was surprised at all that was available from Parmesan cheese, peanut butter, Nutella, jam, salt & pepper, ketchup. Any extras like this we were told we should bring, we did not use. Left with other goodies for staff before checking out. Accommodations were very nice. No complaints other than, no water in our group of buildings for a few hours one day. Thankfully it was nothing that affected us negatively. we just stayed at the pool and beach. They resolved it quickly. It ended up happening twice more on two other days at different times, a bit of a nuisance but we made due and issue was resolved quickly. Entertainment was great! My first time traveling to Caribbean and booking through trip central. It was a great experience, straight forward and informative. Flights were great, Air transat staff and service was excellent. Would love to return again some day!?✌???

Resonance Musique Varadero: Party Resort

I had such a good time at this resort. It's definitely called resonance musique for a reason, music plays almost all day long and everywhere. One of the nights the party and music was loud until 3am. If you're looking for a party scene, this is it. If you like a more quite spot this isn't the resort for you. The grounds was well kept but lots of cigarette butt's every where. Beach was gorgeous! I do not go to cuba for the food and it was even alittle worse than I expected. You can make due, chee [... read more]se, fruit, some meat are great. But alot of shortages as well. The cuban people are just so pleasant and nice all the time. They love us Canadians! They even put the Toronto Maple Leafs on the big screen for people to watch during playoffs. Now that's service! Overall I had such a great time I would definitely go back.
