The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Could not have been better

Everything about Bahia Cayacoa is so well thought out and executed it’s a pleasure to stay there. Front desk check in chaos was handled with aplomb, with special thanks to Javier. Room was super clean with a beautiful view and all the trimmings, even a mini bar. Comfy bed with lots of pillows as well as ample towels and a great shower. Tons of fruit and veggies and so many choices it’s hard to pick. The dining room staff is superlative from pizza/pasta guy Gustavo to kenia spraying the sanitizer at the door. Pools are plentiful and very clean, again with superb staff. Wilhelmin the manager is always flitting around and checking everything personally. Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Absol.amazing resort

Everything perfect!!! Recommend all friends-100 %. Will be back next vacation next year. Clean area,nice show,beach party so nice,animation group best, tasty food,clean beach,interesting excursion Haiti park and Levantado island.

Cayo Levantado Resort: great resort

Great rooms with a lot of space with a huge balcony. Great food with a lot of options. Great people, who working there. Love all of them. A bit rough water, especially on the left side of the beach. Could not even imagine to see small kids there as now the resort is not adults only. Amazing huge area with a lot of place to walk around. I would suggest to add may be a piano bar or something else like that to have more options for clients to do during evening time.

Everything was great! people were really friendly, rooms were really nice, and the food was great! Everything was nicely kept clean. Veiw was amazing and would definitely go again! It was well worth it. Loved it!

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Great resort

This is a very good quality resort. The resort was clean, food was delicious and the buffet we had access to each day three times per day had a great selection of food so that i was able to select what i wanted. There is one big pull and four small ones. The area around small ones was quieter. There was only one resort (this one) that had access to the beaches and because of this it was much quieter than at larger resorts. Transport from and to airport was easy and well coordinated. I recommend this resort.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Beautiful, tropical resort.

Overall a great vacation. The resort was well maintained and spacious. Very good beach area but also very busy. Food was excellent. Rooms adequate but bathrooms have no ventilation or fans. Found the pool hours a little restrictive as they closed at 7pm. Much of the entertainment and music caters to the Latino element so if you can't salsa you are not dancing.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Definitely better than 5 star!!!

This is a true beauty spot, the hotel is beautiful, small enough to be charming and large enough to have all the amenities. The hotel and grounds are perfectly kept, not a branch left lying around. I have never stayed anywhere where the staff are so meticulous, everything is sparkling clean, well groomed and yet you feel comfortable all the time. We had a superior balcony room facing the ocean. The room was extremely large, maid service was twice a day, once in the late morning and again in the early evening. Never run out of towels, mini bar is stocked daily and the bed is fresh every day. The butler service was great, even arranged for a rental car for us. One thing that impressed me and made our stay more comfortable was the pillow menu. We chose the type of pillow and it was on the bed when we returned from dinner. The staff was very good, they took care of everything for us from dinner reservations to returning the car rental. The staff was always pleasant, personable and extremely polite, always genuinely happy. You were always treated very good. There was entertainment supplied every night that was fun and gave you a time to socialize with the other guests. This certainly went beyond our expectations. There was only one small problem, when you book you are told there are three restaurants and that you can book as many dinners as you want, unfortunately they do not tell you that if you book a time that is not the height of the season then all three restaurants are not open every night, and on some nights there is only the buffet. The shuttles over to the island beach is also limited in the off season. I would recommend that this information on the change in availability during the off season should be explained to anyone considering this holiday. Luckily, the food is great no matter where you eat and if you want to go to the island, there is still a limited shuttle every day. The trip central agent, Amanda Garlough, was perfect, she found us the perfect spot for this vacation, was always there with help or to answer questions promptly. All around, it has been a very good experience!

Cayo Levantado Resort: Great vacation

We travelled in May 2018. Everything went smooth and trouble free. The resort is absolutely beautiful. The villas are surrounded by tropical vegetation. The grounds are well kept. Rooms are very large and balconies are proportionally huge. The beach is rather small but just enough. There’s a lot of natural shade from the trees on the beach. Main buffet is gorgeous and it has 3 section, one indoor (absolutely beautiful) and 2 outdoor sections one for smokers. Which really is accommodating everyone. Food is great and desserts are so good that you have to put an effort in “controlling your intake”. Service is absolutely 5 stars. I interacted with various staff and everyone from the bellboys to managers will bend over backwards to fulfill all your needs and wants. Not too many kids (hopefully their numbers will not increase). Overall great resort, great vacation

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Spectacular location!

After many years of staying at resorts all over the Caribbean, this resort has one of the best views ever. Built up against a hill, the view from many rooms is spectacular. The most unusual feature is an elevator to the beach. That is a necessity even for the healthiest of clients, which I was not since I was still recovering from hip surgery and a broken arm. I climbed the stairs from the beach to the main building, but I wouldn't have wanted to do that every day, even I were in perfect shape.  [... read more]I was thankful for this elevator and the others in my building. The food and the drinks were excellent. My only criticism is the quality of the house wines, which was poor. Better wines were available at a cost. The specialty restaurants were good, but the best was the French one. The service was uniformly good, with a a few minor exceptions. The rooms were superb. We stayed in the main building because of my handicap. We enjoyed a beautiful view from our room because we had been upgraded. Unfortunately the views fro the rooms facing town were not as good. These rooms were also noisier, since they overlooked the area where the evening programs were presented. That area was exceptional because of its outdoor location, but that made for more noise. Unfortunately, we did not view the other buildings and the rooms there. These rooms are best for those who are not handicapped. The arrival and departure were well arranged (in our case four and a half hour trips to the airport) with only a minor glitch in our departure time, otherwise we would have been able to enjoy a final breakfast. I heartily recommend this resort, in spite of the long bus trip. Other airlines fly out of the airport in Samana, but since we stayed for ten days, that was not possible for us.

We had a great experience at this resort. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Just wish there was more restaurants or you could book more than 3 times. The best was the location. The views were amazing!

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Wow Best Holiday Ever

This resort is my new favourite. The ground are beautiful and very clean. All the tree are green and well trim . The room are large well stocked fridge with soft drink,beer juice boxes and bags of Lays Potato chip. The entire room is immaculate, fresh towels and linen changed daily. Large walk in shower with a rain shower head and lots of water pressure. Included in the room is also a jacuzzi bath tub. Air conditioner works well including the ceiling fan. The lobby is very nice including the  [... read more]bars and dining buffet. You have the choice of two buffet which open at 7:00 am. One buffet is located on the beach with spectacular view in the morning while drinking your coffee and eating your breakfast. What more could you ask for. Very good and large assortment of food. Best food I had in a resort so far and I have travel for many years. The beach is very nice and you could walk in either direction for miles. Great snorkeling also with lots to see. The pool is very nice and all drink serve are excellent. Animation is very active and fun to talk with, good shows in the evening. Will definitely return soon.

Lovely location and holiday ! The beach was superb and the staff were outstanding. Everything was close to our rooms and the weather was sunny and 29c. Excursion went really well and guide Bobby J was fantastic. Food and al a carte restaurants were a real treat.

We had a wonderful 7 days with 1 excursion day, which we really enjoyed. The resort is very peaceful, food is good and plentiful. If you want noise, games and entertainment during the day, there is a pool area near the beach for that, however, we enjoyed going to the beach in the morning, lunch at Las Olas and then retreat to the quieter pool away from everything. One thing that was annoying was even though it was posted on the beach tiki huts 'reserving prohibited', it was not enforced. It  [... read more]was very frustrating that the availability of tiki huts was next to nil. All in all, we really had a great stay.

I will start off by saying I love Bahia Principe resorts. They are very consistent with their service across all hotels within the carribean. Bahia Cayacoa was a beautiful and unqiue resort. This hotel was spotless and I always saw the staff working hard and cleaning. ( I even saw someone polishing with a toothbrush ) The animation team here is the best! Carlos and Amanda were so funny and friendly. The animation team is not overly pushy with the games and they radiate so much happiness.  [... read more]The food was great for the value and the buffet had a different theme everynight. My favourite a le carte was personally the French and Italian resturants. The service was good although sometimes you needed to ask more than once. I remember to humble myself when in a developing country and I understand everyone is working as hard as they can. It did not bother me if i had to get up to get my own water once in awhile. If you love the beach I would not suggest this hotel. The beach was ok. A little rocky, sand is not white, nothing to look at in the bay if you would like to snorkle. This hotel is all about the views and again is beautiful for different reasons. If you want a beautiful beach I suggest staying at Bahia Elportillo or the luxury hotel on Cayo Lavantado. I would also suggest the walk on the bridge to nowhere which is attachted to the hotel if you are into a little side adventure.

I tend to do a lot of research before booking, as we go for two weeks. I was very pleased to discover this resort was amazingly clean, with one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in. Room was spacious, nicely designed and beautiful oceanfront view - very quite over the spa area. The food was excellent, including the a la carte restaurants. However, we found the buffet to match these high standards, and it was varied throughout the two weeks (not repeated one week to the next). I was concerned about being bored since we didn't plan any excursions, but the resort was so 5 star that reading and playing in the ocean every day and nice dining was enough. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy meeting people. I would actually consider returning here, even though we always go to different places. It was definitely nice enough to happily look forward to another trip here in the future. As others mentioned the staff are wonderful, sincere and helpful.

My sister and I have travelled to several Caribbean destinations, 10 of them so far...and more to come... but I have to say that this place was one on top of our list. Everything was just amazing. Small resort which we like...food was amazing...drinks were great and they had a different theme drink every day which was great to experience. One out of two downfalls I have to admit is the entertainment was not the greatest but again the shows that we did see were ok...just ok. I only saw two o [... read more]f them because I caught a nasty sinus infection and I wasn't feeling well but the overall experience was amazing. The other downfall was the excursion to the Natural Forest, I think that's what is was called......not worth the $95.00 that we spent each, YES EACH...US DOLLARS. It was worth maybe $65.00 or less but not $95.00. The staff was great but not over friendly which I think we missed alot because all the other resorts that we have been to, we made personal connections to several staff members but not really there. I don't know if they have been told not to get too close but the staff members that we did get close to were just amazing. The A la Carte restaurants, the buffet were just all amazing. We took a taxi to the town of Samana and we had a tour guide....Miguel who was just super. He took us to places that no other person would and it was just breathtaking. If you can find him...go for it, it was worth it all. I surely would recommend this resort to anyone.....a 100%

Cayo Levantado Resort: The most amazing resort!

My husband and I had a 2 week vacation at Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado! It was by far the most amazing vacation. We were there to celebrate my 50th birthday and our 10th anniversary! We were blown away, with the incredible service, most beautiful grounds, fantastic food and our beautiful room! Geury, who is the manager of customer service was simply the best! He went beyond anything we expected. I suffer with post concussion syndrome and he learned about my disability, so he coul [... read more]d service us to the best he could. And he did. He made special arrangements to surprise us for our special days! Our butlers too were so amazing, kind and so very thoughtful. We were grateful to have Gabriel, the manager for the butlers. Gabriel help me surprise my husband with a heart on the beach, filled with rose petals. So beautiful! He also prepared our room with champagne, balloons and chocolate on our anniversary! Natanael was our other butler who prepared a romantic Jacuzzi with champagne, scented candles and rose petals. He also went beyond expectations and was fabulous! Edgar, Fernando, Lice and Jose were there every day serving us at the pool and beach. There service was greatly appreciated and their kindness was very thoughtful. I have worked in the service industry for over 30 yrs and I can't say enough about the service we received. Outstanding! The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Amazing vacation

We really enjoyed our stay here! Rooms were great, facilities were nice, the pools were perfect and never too busy, and the food was fabulous! We never had any issues. If you are elderly or have a disability you may find it difficult navigating the resort, as there can be a lotttt of stairs in spots, but there are also plenty of elevators (even one straight to the beach), so it's definitely doable, you just need to be strategic. The wait at the main pool bar was a little much at times (even when it wasn't busy), but really, we just did a lap around the pool and returned. The lower pool was always quiet. The upper pool had music and was always relaxing, they didn't start games/entertainment until late afternoon, so it was never an issue. We didn't spend much time at the beach. It's definitely a dug out man-made beach and it's smaller, you can't walk anywhere. It looked fine, but we were quite content with the beautiful cliff views from the pool. We grabbed seats on the right with the beach one day and it was nice and relaxing, but really, we preferred the pool/views. If you're looking for a 'beautiful sandy beach' this isn't the best spot for you, but EVERYTHING ELSE makes up for it, we weren't upset by this at all. The buffet was always delicious, always warm, and I felt like there was enough of a variety throughout the week, we were always very happy. the 3 restaurants were UNBELIEVABLY good, very impressive! There were hardly any children (there's literally nothing for them to do, so it's not a big 'family' resort, which was perfect for us). There weren't any rowdy guests or partying groups. Very relaxing and grateful for our stay here

This was one of the nicest resorts we have visited. The grounds were so well landscaped and well maintained. The fact that it was small compared to a lot of other resorts was a big plus. We got to know a lot of the staff who were so friendly and funny. This fact also enabled us to make some new friends which made the whole time we spent there amazing. This property is everything you expect from a luxury resort. The buildings and gardens are meticulously maintained. The rooms are very clean, and serviced by polite and accommodating employees. The pool and beach were also well maintained with more than adequate resources. This property also had the largest and most completely equipped gym I have seen at any resort. They were without doubt the most amazing people, who genuinely cared for their guests. They provided evening events from a circus to karaoke, and at our departure came to say goodbye We had a very positive experience at this resort and highly recommend it to others. I would be remiss if I did not commend Kim Hartlen, who on very short notice was able to locate and secure accommodations for us at this beautiful resort.
