The beach is amazing. Good food and lots of it . Lots of intertainment and amazing staff. Would go back again. We had a sweet lady who did up our room everyday . The grounds were well kept and the service was great. Hope to return in the future.

Relaxing
Grounds were very well kept... Beautiful plants and flowers everywhere. Gardeners and all workers were very friendly. Pool area was well maintained and very clean. Beach was stunning with lots of chairs available. Rooms were quite outdated and some bugs. Sheets and towels had quite a lot of stains. Overall for the price this resort was good value for the price.

Great relaxing resort
Was at the Memories Flamenco Beach Cayo Coco from Jan 18-25th 2017. With a beautiful week of warm weather and 5 days of light winds, my wife and I have nothing but fine things to report on. Great size, very accessible, and a beach that made you want to walk on and swim in all day. Resort has everything an older couple needs and wants for to relax. If you want quiet and peaceful, then go here.

Great place for a holiday
This resort exceeded our expectations in almost every area. We were told that Cuban resorts were somewhat behind other countries and and not to expect as much as Mexico or other warm spots. We were told the food is bland and of poorer quality and the lodging is older and not maintained well. We found that the food was absolutely fantastic and had lots of variety, the buildings and rooms were not new but very well maintained and the beaches were the best I have ever been on. One thing that we[... read more] were told that was very true is that the people of Cuba are so friendly and warm and bend over backwards to please you. We had a great holiday and would highly recommend this resort to anyone

Great Memories at Flamenco Beach Resort!
This was one of the best resorts we have stayed in, in Cuba. We have been to different parts of Cuba 11 times and we had the most beautiful room in this resort. The location was great, third floor overlooking the pools, close to the beach and lobby & buffet. The resort and grounds are very well-kept and clean, including public washrooms decorated with fresh-cut flowers every day.
The food at the buffet and restaurants was very good and varied. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They [... read more]could not do enough for us. A special thank you to Marlene at Customer Service for all her special help and attention.
The beach is long and beautiful but we were disappointed that there was not much off-beach snorkeling.
Nevertheless we will certainly go back to this wonderful place!

The Beach is worth it.
I really loved spending my birthday at Memories, at the a la carte they prepared a special table & after presented me with a birthday cake. The staff at the restaurants, buffet & cleaning staff were all very professional & friendly & did a wonderful job. We loved the beach, you could go for short or long walks both directions, low tide, so many shells, sand dollars & you can see fish. We had an oceanview room, worth it, the room was clean & well-kept each day, disappointed not many drinks in fr[... read more]eeze each day, only 2 soft drinks. We had problems with trying to change the beach towels as they were closed most of time & posted a sign stating that they are having problems with the laundry services. They ran out of soft drink "light cola" for 3 days, with diabetes, not much to drink. The food was so,so,most of the hot food on the buffet was cold, to get grilled food, you had to wait in long lines, for my husband the desserts were important, if he wasn't early, they were gone. Most of the staff were very friendly. There was very little entertainment at pool or the beach. For the week we were there only 3 games for everyone lasting only 20 minute each at most, they did have volleyball a couple of times & dance lessons most days. After all is said, the beach was the highlight.

Awesome resort!
Memories Flamenco is a great resort. The massive beach is just beautiful. It's awesome for swimming and snorkeling. We wandered to the far end around the bend where there was plentiful ocean life and interesting finds every day in the shallows. The two large pools are fantastic, one with excitement and activity every day, the other for a quieter setting. The pool bar is both dry on one side and a swim up on the other which is really cool. The bartenders at it and the lounge bar are the best. Fri[... read more]endly and fun and expert drink makers! All the staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. The 24 hour snack restaurant is such a convenience to have especially when you are away with two hungry teen aged boys. Their ham and cheese sandwich and the hot dogs (both grilled) are our recommendations! The buffet is massive which gives ample options. We found the food adequate. The best part of the buffet was the live grill at the back where you can get a fresh omelet or eggs over easy every morning, and fresh grilled meat chicken or fish for lunch and dinner. Had a great week with the family!

Wonderful Resort
We've just returned on Jan 10 from a one week stay at the memories flamenco and can't say enough good things about the resort. Being our third trip to Cuba we weren't expecting the greatest food but to our surprise the food was the best we've had while visiting the country. There was a variety of foods and grilling stations so there was always something to choose from. The a la cartes were good too! Jorge who worked in the buffet for dinner was great and not once did our drinks empty as he was v[... read more]ery diligent on ensuring we had drinks and everything was good.
The grounds are beautiful. I do not believe I've seen flowers all over a resort in this magnitude before. Everywhere you looked there was at least one bush with flowers whereas other resorts it seems they pick the flowers so you don't really see them like this. Gardeners were out every day trimming and tidying the bushes. The beach is stunning. We are not typically beach people but after spending an afternoon at the beach we went there the next two days. The snorkelling was fun and we saw crabs, live sand dollars, small schools of fish along with needle nose fish all within a few metres of the shoreline.
Hillary in the lobby bar was a treat to get every morning for coffee. She was very friendly and helpful. She seemed to know when to come back to see if we would like anything else a lot quicker than some of the others.
Now for the martini bar......a first for myself at a resort south. Yoel was working the martini bar for most of the time we were there and I must say he did a great job! He was friendly and personable even when it was busy. We tried so many types but I would say our favourite was the Pink Lady. The chocolate and coffee were runners up. There was a couple nights were they couldn't open up because of the wind but when they were open they always had a line up.
We booked diamond club for our stay and dealt quite a bit with Dalien(I believe that's the spelling) at the diamond club counter. She was always a pleasure and very helpful to our needs. Whenever we had a question she had the answer which is nice when your away on vacation. The one thing I was impressed with was that Dalien would ask if everything was good and if we were enjoying ourselves. On other resorts you do not always get asked but this is not the case here. The only sour note I have is upon check out, (diamond club is given a 2pm check out which was nice as we were not leaving the resort until 6pm) we had purchased coffee through the hotel so we had to pay for the coffee but as a result we were told by the female (not Dalien) the we could not check out with her and had to do the other counter. I understand due to cashes and slips but then when this occurred we went from no line to a line of four to five people ahead of us. As the luggage area was full due to the later check out we asked her at the diamond club if there was another area or if we could keep them in the diamond club space behind the counter as there were other suitcases. She sighed and said I guess so but there isn't suppose to be any behind here. The question was asked then about what are we suppose to do if the room is full and with a snotty response were told keep them in the lobby that's what others do. We then went and spoke to an employee at the non diamond club counter who stated the luggage was fine where it was and we could leave it. I don't typically line to end a positive experience with a negative but that is what happened right at the end of our trip. Taking out our minor bad experience, we had a wonderful time and if we return to Cuba would definitely consider this resort.

****AMAZING RESORT WITH AMAZING BEACH *****
This was my 2nd visit in 4 months to this resort. :-)
The beach on my first visit was a little tricky because of the coral, but it has since been covered over and it is probably the best beach in Cuba now.
I've been to Varadero, Holguin, Guardalavacca, Cayo Guillermo and Cayo Coco. BEST BEACH!!!! :-)
The employees at this resort are the best I've seen... and I've been to 32 all inclusive resorts ...all over the place. The front desk people are amazing, the bartenders are amazing, [... read more]the buffet people are wonderful.
The food is good, but I always tell people that if you can't live without your favorite condiment, such as Heinz ketchup for instance...just bring your own. I always bring a jar of peanut butter and a small bottle of Montreal Steak Spice! The fish is amazing, and everything on the buffet is good. Cubans don't use as much spice as we do, so you can actually taste the food! :-)
I'm going back to this place in 3 months.... LOVE IT!

You can't go wrong here!!
The resort is very nice. The layout was very good so there was easy access to everything. The people were amazing as most Cubans are. The resort was not full which was a great benefit to us. There were always plenty of chairs around the pool and at the beach and there were never any real lines at the buffet. The food was great. The best food that I have had in Cuba and this is my fourth visit and just as good as Jamaica. The a la cartes are ok. You go in with higher expectations, but it [... read more]really is just the buffet food, but they try so hard. The beach was very wide and the there were no issues with rocky bottoms or sharp shells. There was a machine brought in a while ago that took care of all of that. The rooms were always kept very clean. Yes, the beds were a little hard and the pillows a little flat, but who cares, it's just for a week. If it's that big of a deal, bring your own pillow. There is nothing to complain about at this resort and I would definitely go back again.

Best beach in Cuba
The Memories Flamenco is one of the best kept secrets on the island of Cuba. If relaxing on a magnificent newly constructed sand beach is your thing, Cayo Coco is the place. Comparable to the beaches of Varadero, only with much less traffic. There are only three resorts on this miles long beach. Marine life abound in the warm turquious waters of the Atlantic Carribean. Manta rays leap from the ocean less than 100 meters from the shoreline. Tropical fish swim around you as you enjoy walking in th[... read more]e shallow warm waters of the Atlantic. Three pools with a swim up bar will keep you cool during the long hot days. Ice cold Mojitos are hand delivered as you relax on your lounger beside the pool. Entertainment is provided continually by the professional staff and a spectacular evening show is the highlight of the day. The Memories staff are polite and efficient. The buffet serves an excellent choice of freshly prepared food three times a day. Three a la carte restaurants offer up a delectable choice, and a 24 hour snack bar includes poutine, calamari, and pizza. We were allowed to eat lunch at the exclusive Diamond Club beach hut. The fare included freshly barbecued chicken, pork, and fish. The room was spotless, and the air conditioning ran flawlessly. Our house keeper would lay out our towels and bedding like figurines, including fresh flowers daily. The Memories is rated as a 4 plus hotel and certainly lives up to that standard. We flew Sunwing airlines for the first time and were impressed with their courtesy. Unlike some other Canadian airlines we have flown to Cuba with, Sunwing was virtually on time and on schedule, with just a 15 minute delay coming home. Our 11 days in Cuba cost us only $2330 Canadian, all inclusive, booked through Tripcentral. This was our fifth trip in four years to Cuba. We have been to Cayo Santa Marie, Hoguin Guadalavaca, and Varadero twice, Cuba is in my opinion, the best "bang for your buck" Carribean vacation spot Canadians can find. As a footnote, Cayo Coco is an island, with the closest town of Moron a twenty minute drive away.

Absolutely Beautiful with the best Pina Coloda!
This resort is stunning. One of the nicest grounds I have seen. The workers from gardens, bars, buffet, room cleaners and front desk could not have been nicer. The beach was wonderful. We walked barefoot on the beach in both directions for about an hour and the sand was soft and smooth. The ocean floor was also clean and soft. Much nicer that in front of the next two resorts on the right side which were full of broken sea shells. I would recommend this resort to everyone

Excellent.... one more time
We liked this hotel the first time (2 years ago) and we decided to go there once more. Because of Fidel's death the Christmas decoration were temporary removed and there was no music neither night shows. This did not bother us because we were there to relax and get some rest. The beach has been totally redone and expanded. No more corail... great! The foods were like the last time... excellent and the service perfect. This destination will be on our list again.

Everything was amazing! The second we drove up I was blown away by how beautiful and welcoming the lobby was! Everyone was so eager to welcome and help!
Our luggage was carefully escorted to our room, which was beautiful and clean! (it remained clean all week! the ladies did an excellent job in making sure you were comfortable)
