Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Great resort!!!

There were many pros & few cons to this resort. PROS: Beautiful & clean, beautiful decor, very friendly staff, very large resort and many areas to explore, mall to do some shopping, double decker bus to take you around the resort, great pools, amazing restaurants with great food. CONS: Dolphin enclosure (animal cruelty), no bar in the main lobby to sit & socialize, poor night entertainment/shows, Playa del Carmen and Cancun are a bit far

Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos: Very enjoyable stay at a great resort !

Pros: Beautiful resort . Staff and service were both great ! Great proximity to airport - Checkin was seamless. Rooms were great ! Shower was amazing ! Food was 7/10 but overall nothing wrong with it . Cons: some really rude guests . So unfortunate as it ruined a few parts of the day but fortunately the resort is big enough to move spots , so not a huge deal .

Allegro Playacar: A week at Alegro

We were disappointed with the fact that the air conditioning did not work properly in quite a few rooms. No hot water for showers most of the week. No water at all one day , toilets didn’t flush…in all public washrooms most toilets were broken or non flushing. Food was good. A la carte restaurants were impossible to reserve. Each room had to line up at 10am to reserve and could not be done in advance. They couldn’t accommodate most people.

Playa Mazatlan: Pleasant Hotel

No complaints regarding the hotel. Staff were attentive and happy, tip or not. Rooms very clean and surprisingly, everything worked. Smart TV gave access to UTube which meant there was plenty to keep us amused rather than the usual 50 channels of Spanish. Specialty restaurants were better than average and if you are quick on the phone in the morning then it is possible to avoid the buffet. Ocean was a little rough and too cold to swim in. Impossible to relax on the beach without competing bands vying for attention, the Malecon is a madhouse of noise and exhaust fumes and the local restaurants were so loud it was impossible to converse. I recommend the hotel but not Mazatlan, but then I am a little over the hill.

Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Cancun by Royalton: Star Class Junior Suite Swim Out - Excellent Vacation

The line of sight we had was simply excellent from start to finish. We stayed in the STAR Class junior swim out suite which was lovely. The swim out pools are heated and the main swimming areas are not. They do not intersect, they are separated by land space, so you have some privacy when enjoying your space. The food was quite good, we really enjoyed the Indian cuisine (personal taste) but none were worthy of complaint. I wouldn't compare our experience to the non STAR Class, as I think upgrading made our stay so much more enjoyable than others, simply because our butler made our reservations, so there were no issues with our meal times. I saw a number of people frustrated because they couldn't get into the restaurants as they did not, or could not, secure reservations. I would definitely go back, as the premium package we purchased delivered and in many cases surpassed expectations.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Beautiful

Staff was helpful, room was small, but cleaned well. Buffet was decent, a-la carte restaurants were amazing! Drinks flowed strong and yummy. We had a fantastic time. Only thing I'd change is activities are not posted resort to resort so we missed out on some of the fun stuff and there is a shopping area we did not know about until just before we left. But other than that, it was awesome!!

Grand Riviera Princess: Très beau resort

Ma chambre ( villa LAGUNA) était superbe et propre dans la section 18+, notre coin piscine avec palapa bed et service de major d’homme était magnifique. Celui-ci s’est occupé de mes réservations de restaurant et spa. Point de vue animation, c’était un peu trop tôt 20h30 et j’ai déjà vu mieux. La nourriture était très bien autant resto que buffet. Plage, beaucoup d’algues et de roches.

Riu Palace Las Americas: We love this hotel!!

Riu Las Palace Americas is a very clean hotel. The staff are extremely hardworking, professional , friendly and appreciative. The housekeepers are always keeping your room filled with towels and toilet paper. The receptionists are soo welcoming and professional. The waiters are extremely hardworking , appreciative. Thomas, Saulos , Jesus and Edrin , Abu and William(beach bartender), Jorge( beach / umbrella helper) are efficient , warm and accommodating. The entertainment staff try their best but are ok. However,the beach is small and I felt like sardines cramped on the beach this time round. The only negative comment I have is that this is an Adults only hotel which we pay extra for so I can get away from my children. I understand that the beach is open to the public , however, during my stay a saw many families with kids that did not belong to our resort and locals playing on our side of the beach BUT also using the beach lounges. It’s bad enough that the beach is small( the right side of beach facing the ocean), but now it’s taken up by locals with their kids or families in other resorts and their kids.There was no security around monitoring the beach to make sure that non Riu members were not accessing the beach lounge with their children. This hotel is close enough to walk to the shopping malls,bars, clubs , restaurants and grocery shopping. And it’s very easy and safe to take the bus. We love coming back to Mexico / Cancun because we feel very safe and the Mexican people are so friendly , appreciative and warm. Thks Riu For making our stay pleasurable !

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Excellent Resort

We have been to this resort 4 times, and it has never disappointed us. The staff work so hard keeping it very clean and servicing guests. Their cleanliness and food choices is why we’ve been so many times. We also took 6 other adults with us Jan.23-Feb.2/2023 and they loved it as well. This resort does not disappoint!

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Awesome hotel BUT

We had an amazing time at Paradisus La Perla. The resort is just the right size. The rooms were amazing. The buffets were a bit small and diversity was lacking a bit, but the many À la carte made up for it. Nightly entertainement was just enough, but we were disappointed to find our everything was closed after 1AM. The sales team has an agressive way of promoting their membership programs, which impacted the service we received; amazing at first but decreased once we decided not to enroll in th [... read more]eir Circles program. After that every nice gestures from the hotel staff felt like a scam, or a way to get us to spend membership points or enroll, which was a bit unfortunate. Would still definitely go back. Proximity to Playa Del Carmen cit center was a big plus

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Overnight Partying Ruined Experience

The all night partying which was accompanied by extremely loud music ruined our stay. As our 8 year old said, “it felt like the bed was bouncing”. The phone at the front desk was never answered. Some of the rooms are in very poor condition.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Amazing vacation!!

What an amazing time we had at Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya!! Food was great, room was very nice, pool for everyone (quiet, party, activities…), fun time at the lazy river, learned about dolphins… was there for a week and everything was simply great! Felt safe, clean and staff were great!

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Amazing trip!

We just spent a fabulous week at the Barcelo Maya Tropical hotel. This was our second time staying at this resort (2019) so we knew what to expect. The first time we stayed was for a destination wedding without our kids, this time we brought our two daughters 6 and 10. We opted for an oceanfront suite at the premium level, I highly recommend the premium upgrade. The resort is very well kept and staff is always ready to accommodate. Food was always fantastic, my only issue would be an extra charge for real red wine(there is a house red wine included in all inclusive). Kids loved the water park, pools, beach, and kids club. The nightly entertainment for us started a little late (usually 930pm) but is well put together shows. Really the only negative thing I can say about Barcelo is the extra charges for certain things at an all inclusive. These include real wine, larger water park, bowling, merry go round, x box on large screen for example...I feel these all should be included in the all inclusive, that's my take. Overall fantastic resort, fantastic trip. Highly recommend.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Amazing trip

We had a wonderful time! The room was big and great, the food excellent( a great buffet, and the brazilian restaurant was amazing. We loved the dolphins show and everybody was there to help us if we needed it. The beach was also great. So I you see we enjoyed all our stay. Thanks

We had high hopes for this resort but it was one let down after another starting with our room, we booked 4 months in advance and did not get a king size bed, we’re told we could switch rooms Friday but when we tried, we were offered a room in the basement (?) or to check out for the day and try checking back in at 3 pm! No thanks. Food was good but very little choice and it became repetitive. Despite our best efforts, we were only able to get resos 3/7 nights! Pools on family side were always way too hot, like hot tub hot. Beach was very nice but the vendors were very bothersome (I don’t enjoy having to say “no” literally every 5 minutes while I’m trying to relax on the beach). Rooms were nice, linens, bedding and pillows very nice but housekeeping was spotty due to staff shortage I was told. Room service very good but you’re only allowed to use it once a day. No coffee shop on site at the time. Was able to order a latte at breakfast buffet one day but told the machine was broken for the rest of the week. Pool service was great, but constantly ran out of certain spirits, was always told they had no grapefruit juice (for my beloved sea breezes) yet it was always at the breakfast buffet. Housekeeping or maintenance left our room propped open when we were out of it for hours!! Let my door slam once by accident and a piece of the wall fell off. The only positives I can think of were the staff, they tried so hard and were always so polite, and clearly worked long days. I think all these problems stem from management. This resort has a lot of potential but it was so disappointing for us and I would not recommend it to anyone unless you book the hacienda side, which was lovely.

Palacio Mundo Imperial: Amazing holiday

This hotel is not on the beach but has all you need for a great time.There are buses every half hour to the sister hotels which are fabulous and on the beach.You will have access to all the amenities at all locations and bus ride is only a ten minute ride.My only disappointment was not with the location but rather some of the guests who did not have the decency to tip for the wonderful services that were provided...no class from these individuals and that was an embarssment.The least they could  [... read more]do was leave a few pesos to these hard working people! I think Sunwing should inform these guests that all inclusive does not include tips which the guests should take care of! The staff were great and deserved to be rewarded for their hard work. All in all, a wonderful vacation!

Palacio Mundo Imperial: Fabulous amazing Resort

This Resort was just incredible! It had everything one can want. Choice of pools, for kids, adults, games, restaurants! Staff very friendly, rooms were super clean with great Maid service, could not believe the quality of the food they offered! This was a 5 star resort for the price of 3 stars. The only weakness of this resort was the fact that most staff did not speak any English but we had a great representative from Sunwing by the name of Christian explain all to us in detail. Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Disappointing

It's been 3 1/2 years since we had been to the Royal Decameron. Unfortunately, maintenance has not kept up. The grounds and the pools are great, but the rooms are dilapidated. The staff as always was amazing. The food was poor. We will not be returning.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Fabulous Mega Resort

The Barcelo Maya Beach Resort and surrounding properties were phenomenal! They were clean, well maintained, offered beautiful gardens, mature trees, fabulous swimming pools, a wonderful selection of restaurants & buffets and plenty of lounge chairs. The beach was beautiful, but some parts were a bit rocky. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure guests had a great experience. As our group was travelling with a young child & infant, we had to be very well organized ge [... read more]tting out of our rooms in the morning, as the property was so large it would take us 10-12 minutes to walk from our rooms to the pool/beach. We were always able to get a highchair for the baby, but many times, it did not include a tray table. Despite putting in a request for a crib 7 weeks in advance of our arrival, our room did not have a crib when we arrived. Finally, we found the 40 minute wait going through customs, the 45 minute wait on the shuttle bus and 1 hour drive from the airport to the hotel a bit tiresome with small children, particularly after a 4.5 hour flight and 3 hours in the TO airport prior to boarding.
