Riu Merengue: You won't regret the decision......

Rui Merengue was an excellent resort....rooms were clean and up-to-date, although no fan in the bathroom made for a very steamy shower!!! Open bar in the room was a plus!!! The food was excellent, offering alot of choice even for picky eaters and many familiar and domestic dishes to try. The facility was so clean, friendly staff and great shows kept you entertained every night. The beach was great, sandy but some seaweed in water and places of alot of coral so one had to watch their step!!! Riu Emerald Bay: Wonderful as usual

Great resort, great value for the money. The staff make your stay very pleasurable at this resort. A repeat traveller and would recommend anytime. Easter was busy but good. Easy access to strip mall, easy access to buses and absolutely safe.

Riu Vallarta: Wonderful experience at the Rui Vallarta

We can't say enough about the wonderful staff at the Rui Vallarta they where there to anticipate our every need. The rooms and common areas where kept very clean and because I like a soft bed the staff came to my room at 11 pm and put a matress topper on my bed after which I had a wonderful sleep the rest of my stay.The food was well presented and always plentiful I think my husband gained 5 lbs . Overall I can honestly say from the time I walked in to book our trip for four at trip central to the day we returned to Canada from Puerto Vallarta we had a great experience .

Sol Turquesa Beach: Will return!

Gorgeous grounds. Impressed with high level of cleanliness. Not enough umbrellas around pools. Nice room, excellent maid. A la carte's need improvement, i.e. to be superior to buffet. Entertainment inferior compared to other hotels, i.e. lack of dancers, but bands were excellent!

Riu Merengue: Amazing staff!!

We had a amazing stay at the Riu, very clean and amazing friendly and entertaining staff!!! Plenty of seats at both the pool, and beach. Lots of food to choose from at the buffet. Only minor concern was the seaweed at the beach

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Great Resort!!

Pros: Let me start out by saying this resort is great. The service from check in to restaurants to wait staff and bartenders and room attendants, all amazing. The pools were beautiful.. The only thing I will say is that only one had a swim up bar so everyone pretty much located to that pool leaving the other two bigger ones empty for the most part. Also pool closes at 7pm. When you stay at the Palace you also get access to the Sante Fe which was definitely a little livelier with their activities [... read more] (and guests). But the food, resort, service, quality was definately better at the Palace. Take $10 Water taxi tour onto Lovers Beach. Worth it for the tour. The beach itself is meh... Con's: The only con to the resort itself was that I wish there were more daytime activities organized at the Palace and you will not be able to swim in the beach. The gym also closes at 7pm. The other thing I would warn travelers of are the time share people at the airport (tricked us into thinking they were part of the Resort) offered us a bunch of free activities. If you don't mind sitting through the 2hr presentation we got free zip line and ATV excursions which were great. Just stick to your gun that you're not interested cause they will offer you everything under the sun once you're there. Also be prepared to spend a pretty penny on taxi if you plan to go anywhere. $10 to the Walmart (almost across the street) $14 into Downtown for clubs or mall. We definately spent about $150 on taxi fares. That's it. This place is great. I would come back in a heart beat.

Riu Ocho Rios: Amazing resort!!!!

Amazing Staff!! They are so friendly and take care of your every need++++. Amazing food! Beach is unreal and very well kept. Drinks and entertainment were awesome! Pool was very nice! Book excursions .... Cool running was a highlight! I will go back!!!!

Riu Guanacaste: Beautiful Resort

The hotel was beautiful and workers were extremely helpful and kind. The swim-up bar and pool area was like nothing I've ever seen before just stunning... The nightly entertainment was a good way to end a wonderful day...

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great resort

Pool was always clean, very large! we only wished there was more shade. You had to get up at 6 to clame a shades spot by the pool. Clean rooms. Food was better then some resorts in Cuba. Buffet room did not always have the AC on-making for a hot lunch/dinner time

Riu Merengue: a little piece of heaven great weather

hotel a bit dated but great service pleasant staff. clean linens towels etc. service front desk very helpful especially Evalissa the bar also great staff @village bar especially Raymond. Beach facilities great more footwashs needed near 1132

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Excellent Hotel, great food and great location.

The hotel is amazing. It has a great view to the sea and it is located near (less than 100 meters) the Atlantis complex (where there are many night clubs, the casino, aqua park, aquarium and many others activities). Also, the all included package is really all included. The mini bar, the restaurants, the drinks, the room service, everything included. In the beach there was plenty activities such as para sailing, jet ski among others (not managed by the hotel). It goes without saying that the Nas [... read more]sau water is crystal blue. It is a great place to relax, to have fun at night or to do both.

Riu Merengue: RUI merengue

The grounds were clean and staff friendly. I found that the food was a struggle, not a lot of selection. I enjoyed the entertainment and the beach was nice, i liked that the beach was private and you could go with out being hassled by locals to purchase stuff.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: wicked 4 day vacation

loved the riu in bahamas and and would stay there again in a heartbeat.had a awesome 4 day vacation and i cant say enough about the resort, food ,staff and the locals .highly recommend a stay in riu palace bahamas,

Riu Vallarta: awesome resort ....nothing but good times

first time staying at the riu and i was hooked .food was excellent as well as the service.rooms were clean and check in and out was a breeze.i visited the other riu in the area and it was amazing as well.i think two thumbs up on the riu chain

Sol Turquesa Beach: Beautiful Resort

Very beautiful place beach was OK had better, food was very good, bartender staff was slow an didn't seem to care you were there even when tipped, cooking staff was amazing an very appreciative of tips. Great Beach Party was the high light of trip.

Riu Cancun: This was an Amazing Resort!

The view was so beautiful and the Beach was Awesome. Our room was very clean. The Resort was very clean and the people were fantastic that worked there. Entertainment was wonderful. There was a Michael Jackson tribute and there was an Act that sounded like the Tenors. Almost forgot, the Food was so delicious with so many choices.

Riu Negril: Wonderful Experience

Despite reading some concerning reviews regarding this hotel, we had a wonderful time at Riu Negril. Our rooms were cleaned everyday and restocked with alcohol and two bottles of water every other day. The staff were extremely friendly and genuine, if you had a problem they would do their best to remedy it. The food was GREAT. The buffet was better than all of the a la carte restaurants offered so don't bother with booking those. The grounds were well-kept and the beach was UNREAL. Only thing I  [... read more]would warn against was the locals selling goods on the beach... They could be quite insistent and became tiresome after a while. Sitting a little way away from the water helped remove you from their sightlines.

Riu Cancun: Worst experience ever had with hotel and agency

Hotel was overbooked and options provided were not satisfied at all, customer service was worst i have experienced. Never book again and none of my freinds and family will consider booking here again.

Riu Santa Fe: Relaxing Week

Room- Clean, great shower, well stocked, bar in the room but it was all Tequila no other variety, yes one says Vodka but it is not Vodka it is Tequila. They all had the same smell and same taste. No coffee machine in your room, would be nice if they would put them in the rooms. Beds are not too bad but not the greatest. We stayed in Building 3 facing the pool. I like to be by the pool area and this was central to lobby, entertainment and meal buildings. If you want to be closer to the "party" th [... read more]en Building 7 and the pools there are more active. This is a very family friendly resort so if you are looking for a just adults not the place for you. Try and not go around spring break if you are not looking for rowdy teenagers and young adults. For me none of that matters I enjoy being around people and noise does not bother me if I needed to get away from it there were other spots on the resort to be. Some people may find this resort too big and it is a big resort so if you do not like to walk a lot or can not walk a lot this is not the resort for you as there is no trolley it is all walking. Food- lots of choices in the buffet, I did not find the food that bad for a resort, remember this is a resort not a personal chef. The reservation restaurants lack choice and lack taste. I have only ever found one that I have ever liked in all the resorts I have stayed in. I do not feel they are good at all here. Evening Entertainment - Not bad the Michael Jackson show was good, sound system could be better for the people in the back. Staff - All the staff were great there I never had an issue ever. Remember there are many, many others staying there you are not the only one, they are getting asked for things all the time and it might not come to you at the snap of a finger but they do not forget. This is an average resort and it was a great deal at the time , There does seem to be a lot of young adults that frequent here and have little to no respect for their surroundings or others. I had the privilege of meeting many that were not that way but there were still too many that were beyond rude and disrespectful. The Beach - You can not swim in the ocean, biggest disappointment for me, had a great time but can say that I will not be back for this reason, I love the ocean and this beach lacks luster barely any chairs, no shade, no canopies, full of vendors waiting for you to cross that rope to chase after you. Although a very stern no thank you does stop them, and you can not swim in the ocean due to the under tow. I tried and I can swim not worth the risk as it is very strong and will keep you under for too long. The only place for WIFI without paying for it was in the lobby area and even then you got booted off all the time because of the amount of others on. Now being away should not be a big deal but if you have family at home you are trying to check in with you may be interested in this fact

Riu Merengue: Ok stay-boring for kids

This resort is good for a nice relaxing vacation, there wasn't alot for kids to do at this resort though. I have been to Dominican a few times now and I was a little disappointed in the lack of interaction with the animation team. In the past we got to know the people working on the resort during our stay and at this resort I can't even tell you their names. The food was great, probably the best food with all my stays in Dominican. The rooms were always kept very clean. The A/C didn't work prett [... read more]y much our entire stay but the rooms were sleepable with the ceiling fans. There were always chairs available on the beach and the pool with a group of 11 thats hard to find usually. Overall the resort was good but don't think I would return. Not for the price we paid.
