Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing resort

Had the best time food was pretty good and staff was very friendly will come back the only thing I didn't like they kept on running out of mint for mojitos and took half a day to restock but other then that perfect resort

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Very nice resort

Very nicely appointed and most had good exposure overlooking beach, well kept and well maintained good housekeeping and very polite staff.mini fridge was refilled everyday and room service was welcome feature at the resort.

Villa Sotavento: Great Place for a Relaxing Vacation

Enjoyed this hotel. The food was above the standards for this class of Cuban hotel. The pool was nice. The Villas don't have glass in the windows though so I got a lot of bad mosquito bites - can't really complain though because the package price was so low. There is no 24/7 bar as advertised but there is a 24/7 bar across the street which you have to pay for. The lobby bar which is SUPPOSED to be open 24/7 is pitch dark at night ~ pretty boring. The beach is incredible !!!

Melia Peninsula Varadero: To bad they only good that came out of this was the weather and a great flight !

After we had arrived we waited almost 2hrs before we even headed towards the resorts selling the beer seemed important not having a clue of how many and names who were to be on the bus lack . Two on the desk with a full bus long waits to get booked in long day as it was, I have some health issues taking to our around 11pm or so after which I didn't last long the mold smell caused me to stat throwing up. So back to the desk to explain which hear we go again waiting finally a manager and bell boy  [... read more]who spoke good English of we go to check another room mold smell again we ended going into 5 rooms that night were we finally ended over by the ocean area on the third floor. only room I didn't throw up in but the stairs were hard with my disability. Ended up with no phone locked out of our room 4 times and had to leave door open to get back with a safe not working also. Manager stated that rides to the dinning room would not be a problem for the wk by the bell boys which was a long way from us. With no phone we would have to walk to the snack shop two times a day for a ride for meals. Sad part one night we waited over an hr and every day going for meals was a living hell, no one spoke English it was all Spanish the rooms I would say were very clean , grounds, friendly though none of us understood . Bottom line I would never come back to Melia first bad trip.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Good Resort, Would only do Royal Service

The overall trip was good. I would only recommend going if you upgrade to royal service. The non royal service side you could never find a chair by the pool and sometimes find a chair by the beach. The royal service gave you two additional pools and a private portion of the beach that was less busy. Although I recommend the royal service side, I wouldn’t expect much from the butler. The butler at this resort was useless. I have stayed at Melia’s were the butler was amazing. Our butler  [... read more]“joel” never came to ask how anything was, if we needed him we would have to find him. We would ask for something and then he would forget and we would have to ask again. He basically showed us our room day 1 and left us alone. I wasn’t expecting much, but it would be nice if they would check on you to see how things were. Overall food is typical Cuba food.

Playa Vista Azul: Awesome resort

Ocean vista Azul was such a great experience from start to finish. All the workers and staff were friendly and always there to help us if we had questions. There were 3 staff members in particular that we really enjoyed. Anays in the lobby bar and Ariel and Yosi at the pool bar. Food was pretty good for Cuba and the alacart restaurants were also good. Daily and nightly entertainment was always a blast. All together I’ll definitely go back again next year.

Brisas Del Caribe: Mediocre Resort

Do not go to this resort unless you are booking vip. Was put in multiple different rooms and they were all so disgusting. No lights, no air conditioning, holes in the walls, ants, moldy ceilings. Vip rooms were nice. However they decided to stop restocking our water after 2 days. Most staff were great but some were very disrespectful. Food was not bad, on some occasions found hair still attached to the meat. Beach is beautiful but not enough chairs. Would not recommend this place to anyone unles [... read more]s they stay vip, but for that price there are much nicer places to stay.

Melia Las Antillas: Truly a very nice resort

We have been to Melia Las Antillas many times and we love the location of the resort and the size of the resort, it is not too small and not too big. The staff are excellent, they are truly amazing people. It is like home away from home. We did find this time round that the food was not as good as usual. However, all in all it was a great place to be. We were a bit annoyed that we specifically ask for and pay for a bungalow garden view room and we were put into the hotel for our first ni [... read more]ght and did not get into our room until the next day in the early afternoon. To my understanding we pay a little extra for the garden view room and think there should be some adjustment for the inconvenience of having to stay in the hotel for the evening. Having said all that, again we LOVE people at this resort all the staff including the gardeners as well. Very very nice and friendly people. You cannot ask for much more than that.

Hotel Los Cactus: Nice resort

The hotel was nice want to upsell for more money but not upgrade , the difference is old rooms versis renovated rooms. Not worth it, Food is ok but not impressive always asking for tips and the passo is too overvalued would will not go back to Cuba as it is not worth the money spent

Palma Real: The worst resort

We came back on Jan 18 and never been so happy to be back. It was the worst experience ever! Through out our stay at this resort, we kept being woken up from drunk people banging on the walls and door of our room and this did not happen just to us but to everyone staying in the resort. The Lobby was constantly full of drunk people and was not quiet at all. We went on vacation to relax but instead we were scared when night came because of drunk people and when we called security, no action was t [... read more]aken and the security did not care at all. 2nd- our towels and bed sheets were never changed in 7 days of staying there and we were not provided with a drinkable bottle of water until the 3rd day. The new staff at the resort were extremely rude. The check in for this resort is at 4pm and we arrived at 9am so the entire day was wasted and the staff was not helpful at all. The food in this resort was very good however, the resort was turned into a party resort. This is not our 1st stay at this resort and this time, was the worst stay.

Hotel Tuxpan: Great Beach

Had a great time at this resort. They are upgrading most of the resort. It is a bit aged however for the price well worth the price. Food was better than expected. Staff were very friendly. Exchange your money at the airport the hotel had a poor exchange rate. Beach area was great lots of loungers

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Amazing time

Had a wonderful time at Labranda Varadero. Management has changed but very good service. The food needs upgrade a bit since the menu is very repetitive. Hotel staff very friendly and very nice. Looking forward to my next visit.

Melia Las Antillas: Lovely but older resort

Room was very spacious and clean. Beach was beautiful! The a la cartes were amazing! Buffet was ok. We could always find something to enjoy! The bread was amazing! Staff was very friendly! We would return to this resort!

Sol Varadero Beach: Fun unlimited

Friendly people, scenic place and lots to explore within. And ofcourse great food and drinks. Enjoyed every moment. Evening show was amazing. Kids loved the activities at day care. Wished we could spent some more days.

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Beautiful resort

Just got home from Iberostar Tainos in Veredaro. My daughter and I went for a relaxing get away. We stayed in one of the bungalows and it was beautiful. Weather was in the eightys. We loved the food but mostly we love the Cubans. Such sweet people. When we were leaving we gave so many hugs to all. Such warm hospitality

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: AMAZING

Had an absolutely wonderful time at the resort to celebrate a friend's birthday. Made arrangements in advance with the hotel for the celebration, and they did it up terrific at the Hilltop restaurant. Staff were superb in every way. From the Room staff, service staff, bartenders, and managers. They recognize return guests also. Very quick and efficient check in. Special thanks to Barby and Oreste, and Alexander. No comments about the buffet, I simply wont eat at any buffet. If you like extra spicy food, remember it is a resort needing to keep most people happy...bring your own hot sauce as we did. Lobster was abundant, and done very well. The evening shows were quite good. Don't miss the water ballet! Only thing I am sorry for is that I did not discover the singing server in the lobby bar until the last night. Stunning voice! If you don't want to be disappointed in your stay in Cuba, this is where you should be.

Playa Caleta: Better than expected

This resort was well worth the money. The rooms and common areas were clean. The food was better than expected for Cuba. The pools were lovely. The beach, although beautiful, is not as nice as further down the peninsula. The pool bar staff Hector and Alfredo were amazing. We have three complaints. The elevators were unpredictable, the music at one of the pools was to loud and their reservation system for the a la carts is terrible.

Starfish Jibacoa: Nice old resort - Amazing Snorkeling

The resort was built in 1958 and looks it's age. Despite that its still very nice. the layout of the property is very open and quite. Pros. the layout of the property is very open and quite. very clean, staff and service very good. Amazing snorkeling right off the beach on a 3km reef. Cons. Melia Marina Varadero: Best resort we've been to in Cuba!

My bf and I went to this resort in January 2019 and it was wonderful! We both have been to Cuba several times and the food was always gross and bland. We brought a bunch of condiments and spices this time to add to the food but were so shocked we never needed it! The food was the best food we've ever tasted in Cuba. The resort was clean and pretty well kept. It may not be equal to a 5 star in richer countries but best resort we've been to in Cuba! The beach was beautiful.... Occidental Arenas Blancas: OK not Great

Beach was amazing, the pool not so much. It was super easy to explore Varadero. The drinks were awesome but the food was not good, and not available 24 hours. Felt like the place was closed for winter.
