Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Just awful

The hotel grounds were lovely however, we only found out once we arrived that the hotel books group vacations for teen grad trips, in the hundreds. To be specific, during our weeks vacation (Mar 9-16) there were 756 teenagers. They were horribly disrespectful, drunk, violent and inappropriate. This is completely the hotels right, however, families should be made aware of this when booking a vacation with young children. During our week, 8 were sent home (that we know of), there were multiple fig [... read more]hts and a young woman was found passed out, drunk and had been sexually assaulted (told to us by hotel security). There were countless complaints made to hotel staff, by our group and many others and nothing was done about this. In fact, hotel staff and the Air Canada rep assumed we knew that this was the party destination for graduation trips. These children were underage & drinking nonstop. The trip was hosted by a group called S-Trip, which was young twenty-something college students that couldn't control a thing. It was a terrible week and we will never travel back to the Dominican Republic because of this experience. Our vacation was ruined. We are extremely disappointed.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Vacation with the grandkids

Great vacation spot pools and beach area were very clean We had access to another property which allowed us access to the kids pool area Buffet food was good but you need to get there shortly after they open They have dolphins on site great education for children Over all it was a wonderful place with a few minor glitches Spa for a break was really, really good

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Nice Enough

Hotel was mostly pleasant. A plumbing issue in our room was a bit of a hassle and took two days to get fixed (frustrating to be in a room with two children under 3 and no working sink), but after hearing my displeasure they waived a charge to the room to say sorry. Unfortunately the charge was only around $13cad so it didn't mean a lot, but i guess the intention was there. That was the only real negative to the trip. The constant use of the trams to get to the other resort for a la carte restaurants and to get to the children's waterpark was more hassle than it needed to be, but definitely not a deal breaker. Also, bring a lot of US dollars. Everything is listed in usd and they do on the spot conversion to pesos that always means you are losing out. I also don't remember everything in Mexico being so expensive, but NOTHING is cheap anymore. A bag of chips in the Cancun airport is nearly $10cad.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Beautiful resort

This resort is very clean and well kept, everyone is friendly and helpful. Everything you need is on the resort, but if you want, there are lots of options for day trips. The food was amazing and the staff very friendly.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great family resort

Great time was had by all myself wife and our two girls 4&8 we had an amazing time. We brought blow up floating water toys and many beach toys shovels and Pails. Up graded to the royal golden, got us a top floor room and bottle of rum free safe for the week, beach towels in our room and 4 dinners at the restaurants. Definitely worth the money, people on lower levels had issues with mosquitoes, we didn't see any. We loved the time on the beach and time at the water park!! If you see keyno in the buffet, ask where he is serving... great service!!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Six Stars Resort

We stayed from March 06 to March 15, 2017 Room# 31731, came with a king size bed and 2 twin beds for my kids. Located in the villa 17A, which is very close to all amenities, lobby, the biggest pool from the complex, and a couple of restaurants. Excelent vacations, not a single thing to regret, I will be back to this resort right away without a hesitation.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Very good vacation!!!

I spent with my husband 1 week from March 6 to March 13 in Bahia Principe Cobá. Exceptional service by the hotel staff. In this resort you can enjoy the facilities of 3 the hotels over 4 of which make up the total resort. There are restaurants; Bars and swimming pools everywhere and have an excellent transport service to any area and hotel you want. The maintenance of pools, Beach and real areas of the hotel is incredible. The suggestions I would like to make are to vary a little more the meals in the buffets because it is almost the same food every day. Also think that they should work a little more in the animation; Both in the day in the area of ​​pools and beach as well as in the evenings offering attractive and entertaining spectacles. But in general terms we had a great time because our goal was to rest!

The hotel was most luxurious and beautiful, the food was exquisite in its taste and variety, the scenery overlooking the bay from our balcony was enchanting and magical, but by far the greatest feature was the staff. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Our Oasis in the Jungle!

This resort blew away our expectations. Loved that we could swim in the pools of Coba, Tulum and Akumal and eat in their restaurants then run back to our quiet and quaint Oasis. In our opinion, the buffet of Sian Ka'an was the best by far although the smallest. The grounds were immaculate, the workers friendly and everyone was willing to do whatever it took to make you happy. Best vacation by far! Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: 5 Star Flop

In general the resort was big and beautiful! Food was excellent, people we friendly and welcoming. Pool areas were beautiful. However, if you are looking for a 5 star beach, look else where. The beach was disappointing. Chest deep water, at best, with views of rock walls. Another major issue is the health care on resort. God help you if you are seriously injured. One nurse services a resort of nearly 600 rooms. No one except the nurse has band-aids, including the life guards. Cayo Levantado Resort: Very Nice Resort!

Beach setting was just amazing with ample chairs everyday as well as shade if desired. Arguably the prettiest beach we've been to but not overly large. Resort itself is what you would expect with a 4-5 star resort. No complaints there. Restaurants were a little difficult to get into at reasonable times. Dining was superb! Staff was amazing. Would definitely go back again. Happy Traveler!

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Beautiful Resort

This resort was beautiful the grounds were manicured and clean and so well taken care of. The hotel was one of the best well taken care that i have ever stayed in and would recommend to anyone interested in a perfect resort for a winter holiday. The hotel room was decorated nicely but the bathroom needs ventilation for the steam when showering. New (better) pillows would also add to the comfort of anyone sleeping. Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Very Nice Resort

The resort was good, food and service okay. The one thing that annoyed us is that we paid the extra for the luxury and all the events were at the main resort. When we tried to order a premium liquor at the mail resort they refused us saying it was not included even though we had the wrist bands indicating we were entitled. The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Beautiful Resort & wonderful staff

The resort was beautiful & rooms were spacious, clean & well equipped. We had a Jr. Suite in the 'golden' area (bungalows separate to the main building) and it would definitely say they're worth a little extra money for the extra space, view of the ocean & scenery. However, there were 76 stairs from our particular suite up to the main pool/building. So people with mobility issues should take that into account. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Awesome service! Beautiful resort

We just returned from a 1 week stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe in Jamaica and what an awesome experience it was!!! Having stayed at several other resorts in Jamaica including Sandals, I have to say that overall the service is excellent especially at the Jasmin buffet. The service provided there was superior to anything I have experienced in my travels through the Caribbean. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The beach isn't a great beach to walk but it is amazing all the same.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Beautiful Grand Resort!

Our stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal for a dozen days was fabulous and enjoyed our entire time there! The resort is very large and used the trolley mostly to travel over to other sections of the resort including Tulum, Coba, Hacienda and Sian Ka’an. Trolley availability was excellent no matter where you cared to travel to on the resort. The grounds were landscaped well and were always beautifully trimmed and manicured. We would find lounging chairs either at the beach or around poolside / infinity pool daily within any problem and appreciated the adult only section of beach when we wanted quiet time. There were activities at the beach we could participate along, which was great! There were plenty of fish to see snorkelling in the calm swim area created by the ocean break. Upon leaving we had to be in lobby to catch a 7:10 airport bus and many of us were there earlier for checkout and with only 1 person at the counter performing that task made checking out rather long. We enjoyed the property very much and plan to return next year with only one request that we get a villa closer to the infinity pool.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Resort Review

The grounds were very well taken care off and the beaches were absolutely beautiful. The 2 complaints I have compared to other resorts I have been to in Mexico is the staffs English was nowhere near as good as other staff in resorts in Mexico and the rooms were very basic compared to other resorts around the same price point.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Place!

Great meals, nice staff and well kept grounds. So many options for dinner including the other grand Bahia resorts. You can download an App to do your meal bookings over free wifi. It's not on the beach but the shuttles ran often and the resort has its own designated beach area. Drinks were very good as well, highly recommend this resort and order a Mexican Sombrero to drink!

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Clean and Friendly

This resort is clean and although 25 years old its very clean. They take care of it. Be aware of the front staff that are trying to sell the Grand Bahia Principe time shares, they are very pushy. Even though we said no at least 10 times they were still persistent to the point that we avoided the front lobby at all cost. They do have a couple of pools but the main pool should be split and separated for the families and the partiers. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Huge Resort

This was my first time in Mexico. The resort is so big. Good thing there is trollys to bring you from one place to another. If you have difficulty walking, this is not a good place to be. Rooms are clean but the view was horrible. My view was just other villas. I wasn't introduced to our concierge, don't bother tipping the maids for little extras because there isn't any.
