VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great resort for that price!

І меблі в номерах можна було б оновити. Ще в кімнаті дуже голосно працює кондиціонер. Але персонал, чистота та свіжа їжа Ñ” важливішим за модернізацію кімнат. Тому ми лишилися задоволені.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Diasterous

Had one great day before Fiona was due to arrive and resort started to shut down all the facilities Al a carte restaurants, lazy river pool entertainment bowling etc. Storm hit causing considerable cosmetic damage, tin roofs tree leaves debris etc. After the storm resort was more concerned with cosmetics than customers. Cleaning leaves was the priority. We had no maid service for 4 days, pools were green with dirt and only opened at a rate of 1 per day. Lazy river never did reopen for our stay  [... read more]which was the big draw for us. Restaurants other than buffet were closed 3 days and when the Al a cartes came on line to book on the H10 app you would get ready walk down in the rain only to find it still closed. Our roof top was covered in shattered glass and room developed 4 separate leaks 2 of which required buckets for the duration of our stay. We inquired about a room change but were told all roof units were unavailable. El Beso restaurant Pez Dama was damaged so no Adult only dining options were available. Asked for the glass to be cleaned up so we could use the roof top and was told they were off limits until staff cleaned it up and they never did. I'm sure many workers were concerned about their families at home and really weren't concerned about the guests needs. Certainly didn't get the vacation we were hoping for, but understand it was a major storm.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: great trip

My husband and myself spent 1 week at The Royalton Bavaro, We had a great and relaxing time. We decided that we would go all out and we upgraded to Diamond Club. Check In was quick and easy! We sat at a table and had a drink while the receptionist did all the work. We were introduced to our butler Max, who was very friendly and attentive to all our questions and needs. He took us to our room where he got us settled in. Then he gave us his number and said anything we needed just to call. The r [... read more]oom was great and spacious we had an oceanview room and it was very nice. The room was cleaned daily and always had a stocked fridge. Evening times the maid would come in and turn down our bed. Great service she was also very friendly! The Pools were also good there were plenty of chairs and at all the pools. I think they needed more entertainment around the pools like some music, but there wasn't really any. We also had fun at the lazy river. Except I would have preferred to have a single tube to float on the 2 person ones are too big to move around easily. Dining was good at the a la carts, but we only went to The Steakhouse and Grazie the italian restaurant. We found a place called Scores also that had really great food. We wish we found it earlier. As a Diamond Club member you are served premium drinks. But I never really noticed if that's what I was getting. The Entertainment was not that great! I thought it was going to be much better but what we did see wasn't really that good. Our second last day there Hurrican Fiona came through and wreaked havoc on the hotel , knocking trees down and a lot of water everywhere. But we didn't mind because we were near the end of our week. We also ended up staying an extra day because there were no flights going out. So even tho it was raining, we still enjoyed our stay. I do have one thing to comment on about our Sunwing Representative. He was not very friendly or helpful especially when we were trying to get information about transportation to the airport after the hurricane, instead of notifying people on line or through an alert they just left a paper on a table with new flight times. No time that a bus would take us to the airport until the morning of the flight. Very unproffesional! He was more interested in making his commission for excursions than helping the guests who were confused about the transportation to the airport. All in all it was a good vacation. But I think I like smaller resorts better, there was a lot of walking to get from our room to the lobby where most of the restaurants were. I'm glad there were shuttle services and we didn't have to wait too long for them. I do have suggestions for Royalton Bavaro. They need benches in the areas where you wait for the shuttle, I notice some elderly people waiting and I myself have bad knees and that would have been a plus. So maybe in the future they can do that! Lastly the ocean was a red flag the whole week we were there, Its not anybodies fault except mother natures but the waves were slamming into the beach so hard that we could only step in before being thrown down from the waves. We would have loved to be able to snorkel but never got the chance. The beach had a lot of seaweed because of the hurricane that was coming. Still the beach was beautiful.

Punta Cana Princess: PCP is changing and, in my opinion, not for the better.

My husband and I just recently returned from a last minute trip to the PCP for an 11 day vacation. The PCP guests we encountered on this trip have a totally different idea of what this resort was all about. There is no respect for other guests and the definition of "adults only" is certainly NOT what we have experienced in the last 12 years we have been going to this resort. Most of their actions should happen in the privacy of their room, but if you say anything you're called "Karen", told to m [... read more]ind your own business, and described as a very unhappy person who has no right to an opinion. Prior to this recent trip, we had already booked our regular 14 day stay coming February 2023. We will be cancelling this reservation and thankfully as we have cancellation insurance, will be taking our vacation funds to another resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: A good resort

The language is a problem here many people that work therir dont understand english,the rooms had so much problems with pluming and roaches every where. The guest servise oslavdo was a great help he helped out alot and took care of the problems. The food is the same everyday so qfter day 3 we got tried of the food. The enterainment is a bit boring as they dont do much with the guest is only with the staff and tje shows are boring as its the same dances every night. The bars are great great servi [... read more]ce at the bars, and the beach is far from the resort and people selling on the beach charge you more then tje store. And last but not least the resort needs to upgrade and get elevators and the maids ho through your stuff so please lock up everyday.

Punta Cana Princess: Great staff, quaint resort!

We stayed in the honeymoon suite. Worth it to pay the extra as there are other perks included! Grounds are well kept. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Wifi is sketchy in many places throughout the resort. Lots of great waves but seaweed is an issue but do best to clean up!

Select Sosua Adults Only, Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Amazing hotel with exceptional staff

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, staff was quite friendly and hospitable, food was beyond amazing. Stayed on the Select side where was working and doing school from online during my vacation and the wifi was great!!!! the infinity pools are beyond words. The location was perfect.. right in the heart of SOSUA!!!!!! Very safe for folks travelling solo (as i was).Excellent excellent excellent!!!! perfect for families and couples, but for single folks travelling to sosua.. uummm.. its not guest f [... read more]riendly. Besides that it is an amazing hotel.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Love this resort

Second time in this resort and will go again, the staff is really nice, the rooms are clean, the food is very good and many variety to choose from on the buffet, 2 min away from the night life in Sosua, really love it!

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Everything You Want

That is what the staff at the Majestic do for you and there was no I am busy or that annoying unaccommodating glance. In the 14 days I was their the staff looked to see what they could help you with. Constant cleaning of floors, grounds and bars Another impressive point was the bartenders you name it they made it, go there and try it. So what made my decision to go to the Majestic, the pool I love long swims to work out and hands down the pool here is one of the better ones. Pool Opens at 8am and meticulously cleaned and the bar opens at 9am with the blender firing up for the day. Cheers!

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Dream Dominicus - La Romana DR

The Dreams Dominicus is a very nice and well maintained property. Our room was really nice. We had room 64-103, which included our own pool. The beach was pretty good but certianly had some rocks under the water and you tend to find them the hard way...by walking into them. I really think Dreams should tell people about them. The food and restaurant were very good. Service was also very good. The main issue we did not like at all was the upselling they do... 1. They really tried hard to get us to sit in on a 90 minute chat about timeshares. We actually had to get angry with a girl and her supervisor as they were pushing really hard. Finally I had a enough and told them to leave us alone 2. At some of the restaurants your given a "wine list" to purchase wine and they don't really explain there is also house wine available... 3. They constant ask you if you want a massage or romantic dinner. I think they need to stop doing this. So overall, we had a nice vacation.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: 1st Time at this Resort

We very much enjoyed staying at Dreams Onyx Punta Cana. One of the reasons we chose the this resort is the fact of the on site water slides and lazy river. We are aware that seaweed can be a big problem in the ocean and on the beach, the ocean and beach were wonderful during our stay. We prefer the beach and ocean, it was nice to have other water activities to fall back on and we did spend some afternoons at the splash park. We discovered we enjoyed Dreams Onyx more than Breathless. We spent most of our time at Dreams Onyx, we would definitely return again in the future.

Grand Palladium Palace: So much to do!

When I first decided to go on an all-inclusive trip, I was expecting my week to consist of sitting by the pool/beach and reading. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was so much more to do, including games by the pool, exercise and dance classes, live shows, water sports, and a plethora of different places to eat. I feel as though my family and I have made many new friends since our arrival to the resort. Also, if you are thinking of taking the Scuba Diving Course, I highly recommend you ask for Carlos to be your instructor.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: NOT a 5 star resort!!

Totally ridiculous wait to check in in a HOT and festering lobby with no AC. No one offered even a cold/refreshing drink on arrival! After standing in line for long time, I a, 78 year old senior, had to go myself to the lobby bar to get refreshment. Not acceptable for an acclaimed 5 star resort. The mini fridge was not restocked daily as it should be. I had to go out and get my own drinks. The shuttle was not at the stop near my room. Long walk to buffet every day, three times a day! The wors [... read more]t food I have had at any resort I have stayed at, including 4 and 4.5 resorts. There was no variety of food, from day to day. The same basic food was offered day after day. My stay was for two weeks and I got sick and tired of the same food every day. Yeas the variety consisted of a few variations to the basic chicken and meat dished, but basically a repeat of the same dishes for lunch and dinner. Once something finished, it was hard to find it replenished. That goes for the fresh fruits also! I am not a pork/bacon eater. The grill used to prepare meats is one big surface where all meats are grilled together, including pork with the the fish, chicken and beef!! The mixing of pork with the other meats, renders the other meats inedible for me. The service was totally unacceptable! The salt dispensers did not dispense any salt. One night there was no black pepper to be had, according to our server. Many days there was no Splenda!! Asked for Tabasco and was told they didn't have any, when every morning at the entrance, cocktail was "Bloody Mary" and Tabasco was there!! Most days I had to reject the coffee, because it was COLD! I rejected 5 cups, one day, before I was provided with hot coffee. At the bars there were days when there was no Tequila and I was told the resort had none anywhere. Days went by without mango juice anywhere! This is not a 5 star resort by any set of standards, I have been to 4 star resorts better than this. Absolutely and totally disappointed, I will never go to any Bahia resort again!! Went to a couple of entertainments and found them lacking in every respect! The quality of the entertainment was nothing that would induce me to sit in a hot outdoor arena. The overhead fans provided no air and no relief! I stayed for ten minutes and left. Totally ridiculous. Even 4 star resorts arenas are indoors and air conditioned!!! The Fridge in my room did not work properly. I am Diabetic and need to use insulin to control my sugar levels. I need to store my insulin supply in the fridge. The first day I complained about the fridge. No one came to do anything about it. I had to go to the lobby and request they store mt Insulin in the Lobby fridge, until my room fridge was fixed, Long story short, it took me three days to get a working fridge in my room. Totally unacceptable. There is no coffee shop at this resort, even though they advertise it as a 5 star! There is a coffee dispensing machine in the lobby which works sometimes and doesn't at all times. Besides, it is available from 7 am to 6 pm only!! If you want coffee after 6 pm, you are s... out of luck!! There is a sister resort next to Aquamarine balled the Ambar. It has a nice coffee shop, but we were not allowed to go there!! Totally ridiculous and unacceptable for a so called 5 star resort!!!! You have a long way to go in terms of facilities and service to claim this as a 5 star resort!!! Either improve it or take the 5 star rating away and at best, call it 4 star so people don't get misled and ripped off!!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing Resort

Staff, grounds, rooms and food. All are top level. We've been many times and are never disappointed. Lots of seaweed thus year but can't blame the.resort for the tides. We always get swimup pool rooms.

Riu Republica: Avoid at all cost

We all came back sick and saw many ppl getting food poisoning. This resort is definitely not a 5 star. More like a 3 star. Rooms stink so bad and beds are so filthy Never again. Total waste of money .

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Bahia Principe Bacaro

The only negative comment I have is that we had mentioned it was our 10 th time booking with them and also our Anniversary and nothing extra was done for us. In the past we were given an a la carte on the Amber side,also a fruit basket.A bit disappointing.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: BEAUTIFUL RESORT, IMPRESSIVE PEOPLE

In August 2022 I had the pleasure of taking my son on a vacation for his 20th Birthday, we traveled to Puerto Plata, República Dominicana, staying at the Gran Ventana Beach Resort. TRS Turquesa: TRS AUG-SEP 2022

TRS is the place to stay if you want clean, beautiful rooms, grounds are very well kept and the food is amazing at the a la carts. Staff really make your stay safe and fun. The beach was a little disappointing all along the resorts but there was some good areas to get in to enjoy the ocean. If you have food allergy's then this is the place to go, lots of assortment

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Good bang for your buck

My husband and i had a lovely time at the resort. We stayed for 7 days. We thought the food was pretty decent. The buffet mostly had the same food everyday but we didn’t find that to be a problem, as the food tasted good. A la carts were surprisingly good. We loved the beach and didn’t see anything wrong with it.  [... read more]Some seaweed that got cleaned up everyday. But.. As people say the locals really overtake the resort Friday to Sunday. But the rest of the week was quieter for sure. The pool was crowded over the weekend because of this. There were locals in the beach trying to get you to come down to their “market” to sell you things. They were very persistent and some days were set up on the resort blocking the pathways to the lobby and buffet so you could not avoid them. Like other people say, the pool was dirty. But they had a worker fishing things out of it every afternoon. We did have 1 cockroach in our room that we killed, but a day or two later there was a letter under our door stating that they were fumigating it, so it’s nice to see they were taking care of it. We had an updated room in building 1. So we had no complaints there. Except our AC wasn’t super cold, and our safe stopped working on our last day. Customer service was amazing. We had all power go out in our room one day and when we told the front desk, it was fixed within an hour or two. They had them phoned us later that evening to follow up and make sure it was working, which was nice to see. We really enjoyed our stay here, and like i said, for the money we payed, it exceeded our expectation.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort!

Amazing resort! Staff was very professional and friendly. This was our first time at this resort and I must say, I was impressed. Rooms were nice and spacious, well-kept and the bed turn-down service at night was a nice touch! Will definitely be returning to this resort in the near future.
