Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Awesome resort

Resort was great had an awesome time look forward to going back one day, food was awesome as well beaches were good loved going down to the beaches with a coffe and watching sunrise staff was great, pool bar was my favourite part. It was awesome being able to explore and not be stuck in one place

El Dorado Maroma: Intimate resort

Excellent service, exquisite grounds and all round pampered.! Good choice of restaurants. Butler service on the beach is excellent and good choice of Bali beds. Nice choice of pools. Quiet, intimate resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Fantastic Resort

It was a beautiful resort. We were treated like royalty. Very clean, great service, delicious food, great beach , amazing friendly staff. We would recommend it to anyone. We took two days off to go touring the area. Swam with the dolphins, visited the Mayan Ruins, went snorkeling and swam through the underground tunnels. It was all amazing. Made our visit even more special.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Coming back again

wonderful spot for a vacation. The accommodations were clean, the staff friendly and accommodating. The buffets and specialty restaurants all had a great selection. My friends and I plan on going back.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Amazing All Inclusive Resort - A Snorkelers Dream

My husband and I visited Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Resort for the 4th time in 2 years, April 3-10th. We feel so fortunate to have found this incredible resort on the beautiful bay in Akumal. The accommodations are well appointed, with all rooms having a beautiful ocean front view and a lovely 2 person hot tub on each balcony. The resort is relatively small (approximately 300 rooms), with low key, pleasant entertainment. There are 4 al a carte restaurants open each evening for dinne [... read more]r, and reservations are not required. We never waited more than 30 minutes to be seated. The food is superb. They have a large buffet restaurant as an option also, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A 24 hour snack bar always has delicious options available too. Several bars throughout the resort offer an excellent choice of beverages from speciality cocktails to coffees. We love the ability to be able to snorkel right from the beach and see lots of colourful fish, turtles, stingrays, barracuda and beautiful coral formations. We went out at least twice a day and each time we always came back pleased with our findings and amazing pictures we took with our underwater camera. They offer daily yoga sessions, which people rave about the quality, paddle boarding, and a variety of other activities with the activity staff. They have an exercise room, a well maintained tennis court and a spa. The most amazing part of this resort, is you can tell the staff all want you to enjoy every minute of your vacation, and they work hard to make it happen. All staff we interacted with, are so warm and welcoming, and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Yes, they are busy people, but always made you feel like you are important. We will return for a 5th visit as soon as possible. Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Excellent resort!

Clean and beautiful room! Delicious food! Excellent service! Responsive and thoughtful front desk! Beautiful beach and pool. Splendid romantic vacation! We both are so happy with the Valentin! It was our third visit, and we are already looking forward to our fourth visit.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Relaxing week

We enjoyed our week at the Grand Bahia Principe Coba. The resort is very large and the grounds and pools are pristine, the beach was somewhat disappointing as it was really full of seaweed, beach bar staff were amazing and palpalas and loungers were plentiful. The crew on the beach worked tirelessly to keep up with the seaweed. The food was very good with lots of selection. The Brazillian a'la carte was our favorite. The rooms were very nice. All said we had a very relaxing vacation. The distance from airport and the seaweed on the beach would be a reason not to return.

Barcelo Maya Grand Resort: Beautiful Resort

This was the largest resort we have stayed at however the layout was really well planed. The distance from our room to the beach or restaurants was not far. No need for trolley buses you find at other resorts although they actually do have a double decker bus that makes the rounds between all the resorts in the complex. Lots of activities to do, from snorkelling, jet skis, hobby cats, they have dolphin swimming on the site. Beach was clean lots of palm trees for shade, lots of chairs, the usual problems with sea weed but nothing over the top, staff was very friendly, special shout-out to “Brian the Myan “. All in all very nice resort, we would return there.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Stupendous Time!

The resort is absolutely beautiful, the beach is amazing. The food was great & the drinks as well. What most impressed me tho was the service; everyone was so fun & kind. Will return for sure & recommend it to friends & family.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Beautiful Resort!

The setting of the resort was majestic. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only drawback is it is far from the beach, however, we had so much fun travelling back and forth in the golf carts. We had great laughs. Awesome trip!

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Beautiful hotel wildlife is amazing

Pros - Animals on the resort are beautiful actually had monkeys coming to our patio - no reservations required for restaurants - Great staff -Good food Cons -They have a motorized gondola that goes through the resort you’re not allowed on it?? apparently it’s from the other resort next door we get to watch it go through our resort but can’t get on? They do have one for us but not the same it only goes up and down a short distance with a guy pushing it with a stick - we [... read more] brought teenagers that like to play pool but unfortunately were not allowed in the area where the pool tables are?? In the past when I’ve been to different hotels they normally turn the bar into a bar after a certain time?? - not enough Pool chairs Or beach chairs very hard to find one that’s not been claimed in the mornings honestly been to numerous hotels never had this bad of an issue:( Looking at it you would think it’s almost a lazy river going through the resort but every deceiving the bridges are blocked underneath so you can’t swim under you have to get out of the water to go over to Pool bar because of the dividers between pools -

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Beautiful Resort

Would definitely go back. Great amenities! On the negative, I do t like how they constantly try to go to a time share presentation. All we wanted was to secure our transportation back to the airport but they made it seem like you had to partake in the presentation in order to do so. I do understand this is a way a lot of resorts do things. All in all, a great place & would go back!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great time!

We had a great time at this hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the food was good. Loved the infinity pool. We had a few minor problems with our room that were taken care of right away. We would definitely return to this resort in the future.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Nice resort

The Grand Sirenis resort was quite nice modern style resort, tucked in a jungle type of atmosphere. Lots of animals and wild life but not to many to be a bother. The rooms have all been updated and the beds were very comfortable. I was not overly impressed by the food especially the ala cartès. The beach consists of three bays that are not all particularly easily swimmable. I loved spending many days on the beach which has a nice beach bar and washrooms close by. Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Amazing resort

This hotel was beautiful. Lots of wildlife. Monkeys swinging in the trees, aquanas, deer, birds....pools were great lots of pool side service. Food was good, best steak is at the Italian restaurant... I would say the one disappointing thing would be the gondola, there is a small one that does about 100 feet but a motorized one that goes through the resort, but it’s for a different hotel and you can’t ride it. But overall I would recommend this resort.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Overall the resort was good. Very big resort and alot of walking.

Overall clean grounds and rooms where clean. Alot of wildlife all over and staff was friendly. Only negative was they did not have enough serving staff around the adults only pool. Spa was very nice, near by golf course was in great shape but very pricie.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great resort

The food, pools, lobby and the grounds were very good. The rooms were definitely not 5 star. We were originally given what I would rate a 3 star and after requesting another room, we were given a 4 star room. We had signed up for a 5 star room. We did not get the room that was shown on the hotels website.

Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Riu palace Riviera Maya

Excellent hotel at good location ,at playacar gated community. Good quality food ( less salt and sugar recommend ) very good overall service and value for money, close to other Riu hotels nearby. Entertainment needs some update not quite commensurate with hotel's class.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Amazing experience

We stayed at the Iberostar pariso beach which was on the lower end of the 5 resorts (Del mar being our equal we could use their facilities too) while we were given the option to upgrade once we got there I found we really didn't need to. Since we didn't have kids with us this time I found the pariso beach had a lot less kids on this side and made our trip even better. We only got the option of 3 a la cart reservations we could make but only used 1 because the buffet was amazing at every meal. Th [... read more]ey had a great variety every night and didnt dissapoint. The sushi and mexican cuisine was my favorite and the coffee was so good every morning. A little strong but I loved it. The staff are all so kind and pleasent. The bus boys were the best and are always willing to drive you around in their little carts as the grounds are huge. I found the concierge not very helpful but always wanting to get you to buy extras or go to their 'presentation'. They do offer some compensation in iberostar bucks for going to this presentation for an hour, but I wasn't totally clear on how they can actually be spent so I declined. The grounds are very clean and well kept. The pools are as well. The drinks are either very sweet or salty but once you find one that works for you its easy to just stick with that. I thought cranberry and vodka might be ok but it was full of syrop so I ended up getting pineapple vodka and it tasted pretty good ( no syrop) the rooms were ok , not perfect as we were told we were getting a king sized bed and they just pushed 2 double beds together. Overall this resort was a really great experience and so beautiful I would stay there again.

We had a wonderful time. Service was exceptional start to finish. We had access to the Tulum resort closer to the beach as well. Food was delicious with many options. Room was clean and spacious. Would definitely go back again.
