Playa Vista Azul: Good resort

Beautiful clean modern hotel. Food was good for Cuba. Absolutely no night life, no disco. No beach entertainment. Bar at beach always closed.They advertise 7 km continuous beach.. false advertising! No paddle boats or any water sports like the hotel next to it. Entertainment at pool only. Staff hardly spoke English or French. Lobby has the worst service. Personally,I would never go back.. or recommend this hotel.

Hotel Bella Costa: Bella Costa

Personnel at the Hotel Bella Costa are amazing, at the Coffe Lobby, in the Kitchen, the Towel Boy, everybody nice.... The Rooms are very confortable.. I like the food, I ate Fish, Shrimp and Local Fruit everyday and I was very happy, the Beach is marvellous and the Ocean water was refreshing

Starfish Jibacoa: Quiet and peaceful

Relaxing vacation in Jibacoa. The buffet is small and somewhat repetitive but there's always something to eat. Enjoyed the snack bar and the staff are always pleasant and smiling! Enjoyed the snorkeling and hike to the top of the hill - great lookout!

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Not the best

This resort is big and has nice rooms with on and off hot water available for showers. Elevators are hit or miss, either take a long time to arrive or once you’re in, takes about 15 seconds for doors to close. Wifi cards for one hour of internet are available for one peso. Food is ok but has no taste and waiters in the à la carte restaurants do not speak any english. Activities and nightlife are a big zero. You never know when something is going on so you will probably miss it. You have to go [... read more] into to town at night for dancing or bar with music. Staying at the lobby bar is your only hotel option and unless you like watching bartenders make drinks than it’s pretty boring. This is a good hotel for people who want a quiet vacation to sleep eat and take in the sun. Go to the beach before 9am because they all go put towels to reserve their chairs. Pool area is the same. I would never come back here.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Excactly what we needed

The Sanctuary has a lot of nice features. The rooms are just the right size, with balcony. Good bathroom, shower etc. Comfortable beds. Enough storage space. The on site restaurant offer good quality food, a bit repetitive but good. You always have the buffet, about 10 min walk is needed.... The grounds are very nice. Nice good level music... The beach has plenty of shade and chair, and they don't really let anybody in, other then the sanctuary guess, (Very Nice beach) . I really hate the  [... read more]dancing shows at night, but at the sanctuary they have nice music bands. Perfect for over 50 couples.... Impeccable service other then when you are leaving. They don't really care about you, your plane, your luggages, your tips, your time , your waiting for assistance when ready for departure. Over all, exactly what we needed except for the departure stress.

Starfish Jibacoa: For that price bather them perfect

price - very god accommodation - old but clean and reasonable good shape food - large variety but sometime not well done (pork and beef hard to eat). Butter and ice creme more them perfect and we will remember long time. people - from services friendly and helpful beech - nlce sand but to much garbage

Playa Caleta: We love it here!!

As a repeat guest we get treated very well. The hotel is not fancy but they are doing improvements. Rooms are clean. Maids do a wonderful job. Always hot water and clean towels. Beach is beautiful and right at the doorstep. Food is Cuba food. You won't starve to death. Just don't expect gourmet food. Go out and experience some restaurants. Staff are for the most part very kind and accommodating. As with anywhere else (even Canada) there are some that just aren't happy people. Starfish Jibacoa: Great Vacation.

Had a wonderful vacation Jan. 5 to 12. We had visited Villa Jibacoa 3 years ago and hotel has improved in that time. Pool was very nice, rooms clean and food and drinks was very good. Food was greatly improved at pool bar. Lots of lounge chairs at pool. Only con was that although lots of lounge chairs on beach most were in bad shape, cracked and missing arms. The draw for us was the reef close to shore, but due to winds and jelly fish only got 1 day of snorkeling in. Did not see any shows which they had every night. Very relaxing and quiet not a party place, staff and other quest were very friendly. If your looking for a quiet vacation this is the spot.

Starfish Jibacoa: A good bang for your buck

This was our third time in Cuba and overall the room,beach, pool, cleanliness, friendly staff, and food were all good for the price. Many we spoke to were regular visitors. Beautiful relaxing week! :)

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Will return!

So here’s an honest review of Sanctuary Resort at Grand Memories. Sanctuary is the adult side. Amazing food. Room was large and clean. Clean Shower and tub. Bathroom walls need a good clean. Amazing customer service with two exceptions. The woman at front desk was very unfriendly and didn’t like to help. Saw our butler the first and last day only. That’s ok because we really didn’t need him. However I’m commenting about it because he said he’d been looking for us all week. We never l [... read more]eft pool or beach. Beach was amazing. Can’t say enough great things about food. Natali at beach bar is outstanding. Our group had such a great time and have no issues recommending Sanctuary. The family side is quite busy. Not for us but I’m sure is great. We needed to shower in SPA on our last day and it was really dirty unfortunately. Wouldn’t make us not return. Flights were great. Attendants on flight to Cuba were horribly rude. The flight home, the attendants were incredible!!

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Great Resort, Amazing People and Beautiful Beach!

My boyfriend and I just recently stayed at the Iberostar Bella Vista during the second week of January. The resort is absolutely beautiful and the perfect size! The staff are amazing, all of them are so welcoming and try their hardest to ensure your vacation is as relaxing as possible. The beach is beautiful, water is the perfect colour blue and so clear, the sand perfect white. The drink are sooo good! Enjoyed every drink they made for me. Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Nice resort

Nice resort overall, with exception of small details: old non renovated rooms are bad smelly with the balcony door that never closed, changed rooms 3 times until got what we requested. Got 100 Black flies bites from tennis court and/or the theater area...

Grand Memories Varadero: Not a 4 star resort

This resort is a 3 star not a 4 star. Overall enjoyed our vacation, 2nd time to Cuba but first time at this resort. We were a family of 5 - stayed in block 20, which is centrally located to everything. We were accommodated all our requests, which we appreciated. The resort needs a little work but has the potential to a great resort. Rooms were tired and heard a lot of travellers complaining about it. We did not receive new towels when room was cleaned. Only after complaining did we get new towel [... read more]s. Italian restaurant was terrible, the main buffet was the best. Service in the buffet was excellent. Snack bar is supposed to be a quick place to get food, but it was slow most of the time for hot dogs and sandwiches. Beach buffet was convenient. Definitely upgrade to Diamond Club - Premium liquor, separate check in, designated beach area with drink service, which was a big plus as the other side of the beach is way too crowded. Beach was beautiful, clean with no seaweed. Entertainment staff was amazing, the worked hard all day long.

Club Karey: Auful

Had to change the room several times due to lack of the water. The barman with glasses near the pool is the most obnoxious person even if you tip him. Hot water is intermittent. Food is almost not eatible. Don't go there especially if you have kids. Over all the resort is in construction and renovation mode... Not a pitoresque environment. Entertainment is almost non existing.

Hotel Villa Cuba: Very well

The villa was very well, old but very clean. Staff was great and all our demandes were fur filled. We would go back, and recommend this place to any one that looks beyond luxury. Buffet and snack bars menus were always the same, we found our favorites and never went hungry

Los Delfines: Beautiful resort

Joye was beautiful I enjoy staying there people was great safe place and will return again thanks again for your wonderful hospitality I will recommend this resort to my family and friends possible bring them next winter for a vacation

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Dirty rooms!we changed hôtel!

When you come in the reception is dark not inviting and the rooms where discusting...they showed us diffirent rooms and still was discusting.The pathway was dirty with cigarettes,no air conditioning in the main area to eat!not the 4 stars it says.!!!!

Club Kawama: My second time there

I like this resort, staff is friendly and the beach is amazing Some rooms are great while others not so great.. But I'm there for the beach. It's amazing! They do a great job at keeping it clean and that try their best to accommodate you if you have any issues. I travelled there by myself this time around and they made sure I had a room close to the main lobby so I didn't have to walk far at night for safety reasons I'll def be back again as note in getting very comfortable with the resort

Playa Vista Azul: Run down resort.

I have been to this resort twice now. My wife and I stayed at this place about 2 years ago (when it was quite new) and we had a wonderful experience. So, we decided to go back again, this time with the whole family and friends. This time, I was not happy with my experience. Just got back a week ago from this resort. The quality of the water on the pools is not the best and smells bad; the jacuzzi has stopped to work 6 months ago (that is according with their own staff), there is no bread for br [... read more]eakfast regularly at the buffet; and, on top of that we discovered cockroaches in our room on the second day of our stay. We complained and the problem was taken care; but the horrible experience had already ruined our stay. It seams like in the 2 years since we first visit the resort, everything has come down to the lowest standards of quality. Most of the fixtures are rusted, the hallway floors and staircases are stained and dirty, the elevator doesn’t work, the expresso-based coffee drinks are undrinkable and the staff (except few great people such as Ernesto in the Caribbean Restaurant and Carlos at the lobby bar) seems to be mad at all the tourists and tired of working for this hotel. We will certainly be looking for another hotel for future travels.
