Ocean Blue and Sand: OCEAN BLUE AND SANDS RESORT, BAVARO, PUNTA CANA, DR

Hello, We were a group of six women who visited Ocean Blue and Sands for one week (some were there 10 days) April 15 to April 25 and a couple from April 18 to April 25. This was my 3rd time in Punta Cana, and this is the first time I have been disappointed with the beach at the Ocean Blue and Sands. There was seaweed galore that you had a hard time to walk, and the sandbags in the water looked like backs of huge whales. Very disappointing especially for the Bavaro Beach. Ocean Blue and Sa [... read more]nd should definitely do something about their portion of the beach because when you go down south for beautiful weather, and beautiful weather it was indeed, you enjoy to relax on a beautiful beach as I recall the Bavaro was and still is, but for some reason this part of the Bavaro Beach I was deeply shocked and sad because we could not enjoy the beach, it was overall dirty looking. We had to spend our time at the pools. As far as the resort and staff working there, it was very good. The grounds were well maintained, the staff very friendly, but this does not surprise me for Punta Cana. The people are always so nice in the Dominican Republic, will do anything for you. A big shout out to Wilkin, he took so good care of us for our week at Ocean Blue and Sand. What a wonderful young man. As well, the entertainment staff, was excellent. We enjoyed our day entertainment as well as the evening. Joseph and Chocolate are amazing entertainers and they made sure everyone was enjoying themselves. The food was just for me, o.k. Most times at the buffet it was not warm, and the only restaurant I preferred above them all was the Steak House. It was amazing food, however, not very good service. We left before they came to offer us dessert, IF they were going to offer us dessert, we were not sure. We had to ask for wine, because they only came once to pour us a half glass. Not sure perhaps if that evening they could have been extra busy, not sure - but not good service. Would I go back again to this resort? Probably not, only because the beach is not up to my liking, and if I am going to pay big money to go to a resort, I want to be able to enjoy the beach. Having said this about the food, some of my party enjoyed the food, so this could be just a matter of preference. I am not a fussy person, but I did not enjoy most of the meals. The best was the HOT SUN. Wish I was still there for the weather, because in the Northern part of New Brunswick Canada, we are freezing today, and the wind here is COLD.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: I felt like I was in paridise

There isn't anything bad to say , the people , entertainers, the resort , the food was excellent, I would diffently go back , I have never seen such a clean resort...........It was a little piece of heaven.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Relaxing and fun all at once

We enjoyed our stay , met great people and it was a perfect size. 👍🏻 I just didn’t like the culinary experience I got sick off the food and had a sore stomach and nausea and diarrhea the next day. Everyone said the experience with the culinary experience was awesome. But for 150.00 American never again. Italian don’t just have pasta, sushi is not only sushi........loved all restaurant. Service was great and beach was always clean. Buffet always had different themes every night and fish and sea food was always available. We had to check out early cause our flight was only at 10pm but they had a hospitality room available for us at the end of the day to wash off before the shuttle 👍🏻 Just wasn’t crazy about the time share always being asked. The spa walking around daily to ask if you want a massage and nexus asking if you want to book excursions. They have stations for all that and if you are interested you will go But once you said no they would not ask again till the next day 🥵but most off all what we hated the most was 2.days out of the week getting bugged and harassed from locals that are aloud on the resort Friday all day from like 8 am till 10 pm and giving you stuff and saying you owe them and you said no that is all day on fridays non stop And again on the evening of the micheal Jackson in the lobby night show. Very annoying. If you wanted to go shopping they got a free bus twice a day all week long going to the mall. And on the Friday evening my husband even got asked if he wanted to buy drugs and offered him a huge variety just not right right In my opinion. The vendors/time share/excursions/spa sales are a real buzz kill to the resort

Excellence Punta Cana: Excellent Resort!

Great food, clean, spacious, no need to save chairs in the morning as there was always enough and good evening entertainment. The silent dance party was the best! Recommend the upgrade to the excellence club.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: good enough

hotel was very clean, maintained all the time. customer service was good, Lenni at the front desk was kind enough to make my stay comfortable. really appreciated his help. the only part that was disappointing was snack bar.. it was all the way by the beach.. far walk from Principe, if the bugges dont run later on. over all i had a blast, the food was good and the staff!!

Excellence Punta Cana: Relaxing and super clean resort!

I just returned from a 4 night stay and really enjoyed my time at this resort. The facilities and grounds were incredibly clean, we had no problem finding beach or pool chairs and the staff were wonderfully friendly! My only complaint is that while the bed was super comfy, the pillows were terrible! Food was great, spa was nice, drinks were cold. I’d go back for sure.

Excellence El Carmen: Best resort ever. AMAZING

The hotel and rooms were so spacious and the staff were truly amazing people. Always asking and very helpful with anything we needed. The food and the 12 restaurants were so good, and we cant forget the sports bar wow the food was out of this world for a sports bar. The night entertainment and pool side shows were all amazing as well. We truly recommend this hotel and we will be going back. Thx again for your help. Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Beautiful Resort

The resort was awesome!, views were beautiful and the service was great. We had a great time and the weather was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good and the entertainment was enlightening.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Best family trip ever!

From the hotel to the beach, the employees and the food. Everything about this place is top! We were terrified of traveling with a 4 year old and a 1 year old but it went smoothly and the staff was very understanding. I highly recommend this place!

Excellence El Carmen: Would recommend

Great resort to consider! General guests are mature - not the place for party, which is ideal for a true relaxing vacation. No issues with food, some hit and misses (i.e. room service). Beach was wide and clean, great for long walks on the beach. Water was turquoise with Atlantic waves - great for swimming. Some seaweed but not an issue for us. We stayed in an ocean front two story room with pool on our terrace..WOW! Standard rooms are great as well, most rooms have a view of the beach. No issues finding lounge chairs by the beach or pools. In fact, every building has their own swim pool in addition to the common main pool by the beach. Even though resort was at %95 capacity, it did not feel like it! No issues with finding towels. Drinks were solid. Grounds were well kept and groomed. Roaming flamingos closer to the back of the resort. Would highly recommend this resort!

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Great value

This resort was nice the restaurant and water park were nice and close first resort in a long time that you didn’t have to walk miles in the heat. The rooms were nice and clean. Only one downfall which could happen at any of these resorts was we found a bot fly in our food one night (gross) the staff were very apologetic the staff were great and very friendly!! Estefania and Poppy were amazing bar tenders at the bubbles pool!

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great family vacation.

This is our 4th time at this resort and we thoroughly enjoyed it. As the beach is very busy, we spent most of our time at the pool which works well for families, and it was never over crowded. This is a huge resort and unless you are an avid walker, you must utilize the trollies if you want to go to the buffet or the beach. The trollies are run frequently so we were able to catch a lift any time we needed it. The Garden Grill Steak House and the Italian restaurant Carpaccio's are very good.  [... read more]The buffet was also very good especially the Gala night where we enjoyed crab, shrimp, beef wellington, stuffed chicken breasts and glazed pork loin. The breakfasts are also very good at the buffet. We split our lunches between the beach restaurant and the buffet and both were great.

Sanctuary Cap Cana Luxury Collection Adults Resort: Unforgettable Getaway

From the moment we drove up to the main lobby everything left us speechless. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Starting off with a cool refreshing cloth that feels amazing on your face after a long day of travelling. Then walking into our Oceanfront Junior castle suite and seeing the ocean from out patio door was wonderful. The room was spacious with a giant walk in closet, double sinks, walk in shower and Jacuzzi bath tub (bath tub was a bit small, could not fit two people). One housekeeper Nancy made beautiful cre4ations out of the blankets and flowers, one time she even made a trail of flowers to our bed and left us a note! These little touches are what make the trip even better than any other resort. We felt special here. The food was amazing! The sanctuary town had wonderful pasta and wood oven pizzas if you’re looking for causal. The Pacific Wok, Capriccio (Italian) and Steakhouse were delicious for a more formal dining. Each menu had a variety of options from beef, steak and of course fish! The Blue Merlin had not only an incredible view of the ocean but the seafood was terrific! The drinks were fantastic, every single beverage I had alcoholic or non-alcoholic was so good. I would highly recommended the passionfruit blended mojito! The bar tenders are the swim up bar were full of smiles and entertainment. It was always a blast. No matter where we were we never had to wait in line or for someone to help us. The resorts was never jammed packed- we could always get our same seats at the pool, the restaurants we always got a table and the food and drinks were always offered and never had to wait. The only thing we could say was a bit of a downfall but not really was when we first got there, the beach had a lot of seaweed. They explained it happens like once a year. However, we saw the staff working on cleaning up the beach day in and day out for days until it was all cleared. Our last 4 days the beach was spotless and they did a great job to make sure the beach lovers could enjoy it as much as possible. I could go on and on how great this resort it. Simply put I would highly recommended it and give it a 10/10!! Can’t wait to go back!

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Amazing resort

This was my boyfriend and I first trip together and also celebrated his birthday there which the resport had a birthdat banner on the door when we arrived and on his birthday they had brought a bottle of champagne and a fruit basket to our room also at dinner we had another bottle of champagne at our table and had 4 staff members, and sing to him. Entertainment was good always had 3 shows a day morning evening and night time in the village, also liked they had a casino, shops, karaoke bar, sport bar for the hockey games and a disco in the village as well. The beach was breath taking and they were on top of cleaning up the seaweed every morning. The pool was great, pool bars as well, we stayed mostly on the beach or the pool by the beach. Our room request was honored which was fantastic as we wanted to be close to the beach. Staff were always nice and welcoming. I could go on... and on... Over all this is a fabulous resport that I would recommend to anyone, we will definitely be going back and already talking about the next trip Thank you Grand Bahis Principia Bavaro for making our first trip together one we will always remember

Riu Republica: Nice resort.

The hotel is well laid out with nice grounds and very clean. Buffets were good but the a la cartes need more sit down meals instead of buffet styles. Servers were over the top at the buffets. Pools were laid out excellent giving everyone a choice for there needs. Rooms were clean and everything worked well but they were very plain. We were disappointed in the evening shows, not much variety there.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing place

Excellent hotel, beach was beautiful , and the food was very good, would recommend aquamarine to everybody , big resort with a beautiful new sport bar that was just build . Beautiful big lobby and 3 pool for the resort, access to tennis court and another main lobby .

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: The Big Bahia

The resort was very well managed. For such a large resort they really did a great job , from our check in to the cleanliness of the room , to the awesome job of displaying food and feeding such large number of people so efficiently. There was plenty of entertainment for all ages, lots of beach & poolside activities. The weather was 27 c everyday . The sunrise in the morning was so beautiful getting up at 5:45 was easy.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Amazing Resort!

Majestic Mirage was fabulous. Cannot say enough about our Butler Noraya. She kept in touch every day to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The Resort was clean, the grounds immaculate, the food was very good. The resort was not full which made our stay even better. Everyone made us feel special. They knew our names after the 3rd day. We booked the Mirage club 1 bedroom suite. Perfect location. Nice and quiet in Building 5.

TRS Turquesa: Our Favourite !

We have had 8 stays so far at TRS and we totally love it. Its our favourite. We planned almost all of them through TripCentral. Nicole DeForest, our agent, was beyond awesome to assist us and our friends that came along with us. Highly recommend. Tesa and Kevin B
