Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Lovely People (workers)

Good food,very clean,very good entertainment,good service,beautiful setting, good value. One disappointment was that we couldn't book the a la cartes.The spots for dinner were mostly gone the 2nd day we were there.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: “Beautiful Resort, Incredible Staff!!”

This is the review I posted on Tripcentral We just returned from the Iberostar Laguna Azul on Sept 20/14 and we had an absolutely incredible time. I've never written a review before, but felt compelled after reading several poor reviews of this resort prior to us leaving. There was a group of 10 of us with a total of 5 rooms. We arrived to the resort at 11am and the like all resorts and hotels, rooms are not ready until 3 or 4pm, this is posted on all hotel websites, so I'm not sure why people  [... read more]are so shocked and upset when there room is not ready on arrival? The waitresses greeted us with drinks while we waited. The Bell Boys were fantastic and once we received our room keys, they went ahead and spoke to the maids to try and prioritize getting our rooms done asap, so we didn't have to wait. Within about 30-45 minutes, we were checked in and in our rooms and headed for the beach! We have been to Cuba several times and this was by far one of the nicest resorts we've stayed at. The staff was incredible, extremely friendly, very helpful. The activity team always had something on the go, both at the beach and at the pool. Maria Cleapatra and the team made sure there was no shortage of activities all day long! The bar staff around the swim up pool, both Kensi and Darien always greeted you with a smile and you never went long without a drink! There was never an expectation of tips and you were not treated or served any differently if you did not tip. The beach here was absolutely beautiful and clean, crystal clear water! The pools were all very clean and well maintained! The grounds were beautiful and meticulous! Our rooms were all very nice and very clean. Air conditioning worked great, no shortage of hot water, no shortage of towels or anything else. If you needed anything extra, you simply asked the maids. They stock your bar fridge with pop, beer and a large water bottle daily, we asked for extra water, so the maid left us 2-3 bottles each day. The food was very good, certainly not what it is in many other countries, but you never went hungry. We continued to be impressed each day by the variety of good food. If you love seafood, there was no shortage of it, we had fresh, grilled shrimp every night for dinner! We went to 3 of the al a cartes, the Italian, the International and the Japanese, they were all very good, however the Japanese was fantastic! The chef was very entertaining and cooked your entire meal right in front of you. I would recommend this resort to anyone and will definitely go back! For those who have written poor reviews, either you had an off experience, or you expect to be treated like royalty. I did not meet one person at this resort, who did not have great things to say about their trip. Like I mentioned earlier, there were 10 of us, no one got sick, no one had anything negative to say about their stay and we'd all go back in a second! Cuban people are the kindest, hardest working people, they work 6 days a week, 10-12 hour days or longer (depending on their job) and make 20-25 pesos a month! Yet they smile every day! Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Fantastic Resort and Wonderful Vacation

This is the third time that my boyfriend have been to The Iberostar Daquiri (my parents have been coming to this resort for many years). The reson that we continue to return is because the service, food quality, rooms, beach, common areas, etc are all fantastic!!! We couldn't ask for a better place to stay while in Cuba.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Loved our stay

My daughter and I went to the resort in late September, 2014. We loved this resort. The weather was great. Hot but hummid by late afternoon it would cloud over and make it a little more comfortable. The pool areas were amazing. There was an area for everyone. The beach was nice but the water was a little choppy due to the season. Service at the bars were good and we found the food at the buffet good as well. The only thing we could not figure out was what time the snack bar was open near the poo [... read more]l as it never seem to be open but fortunately the snack bar at the beach which is very close to the pool area as well was open. Transportation around the resort was quick as well, we never really had to wait long for a trolly to take us where we wanted to go. Definately going back.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Spectacular Resort

This Resort is very clean and well maintained. Inviting atmosphere. Excellent place to unwind and relax! The Entertainment around pool and on the Beach was a lot of fun by the Star 5 Staff! Experience it for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Iberostar Varadero - Will not return

Let me preface this review with, I don't drink any alcohol. So my wife and I really focus on the service, food, amenities and activities. Food - we ate to survive Amenities - Nothing special Service - missing Beach - awesome! was deciding between this and Royal Hicacos & Paradisus

Iberostar Selection Cancun: amazing

So much fun such great service. I'm used to carrying my own bags and everything but at iberostar I couldn't move a muscle without somebody handling my bags and bringing me a drink. The servers were all very friendly and made us feel welcome

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Good for a short visit.

We had a great relaxing holiday. We stayed for 4 nights 5 days. Nothing overly fantastic sticks out or negative. The food was what to be expected for cuba, lots of pickled foods, bland, greasy or too salty. We didn't go for the food but for sun and relaxation which was lovely. Acommodations were clean convenient. The staff had a full agenda if you wanted to participate, the pool was clean and warm. The beach was well maintained and enjoyable. Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: The best in Cuba so far.

Everything OK except the front desk service. The food and the beach were the best. The entertainment and the lobby environment were amazing. The resort contains a large area and as such it is not convenient walking to every amenity. Improving the car service is a must.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Great Place to vacation

There was no disappointments. The staff and entertainment group were awesome at service and keeping the guests entertained and happy. I love the huge ground and walking thru the lush jungle like grounds.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Beautiful Resort with Amazing Staff

The resort was to notch with lots of things to do. The rooms were very nice, the pools were clean, and the bars were had lot of booze. The staff were very friendly, and became friends very quickly. The food at the buffet was okay, but the restaurants were great!

Was an amazing experience. Great Food extremely friendly staff awesome entertainment. Flight on schedule and smooth Fight. The only thing Mediocre was the resort room that could be becauz we (Canadians) maintains pretty good living standard. Overall Wonderful experience.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Amazing hotel and staff!

The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. There are a lot of private spots where you can go off the beaten path and have quiet time, if you choose. I particularly liked the hammocks on the beach and the swinging beds with thick mattresses and pillows where you could lay in the shade or sun. The pool is spectacular with comfortable chairs. The staff is always there to cater to your every need. The beach is long and clean, with vendors selling everything from jewellery, blankets, beach cover  [... read more]ups, sunglasses and cigars. They are not pushy and respect when you say no. I highly recommend this resort. We stayed in the 1600 room section, which was half way between the beach and front lobby. I recommend this area, as you are close to everything. We were happy to walk after eating each meal.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Good hotel to stay with the family

Overall, it's a good hotel for the money you spend. It is on a smaller side and everything is close by. Rooms are decent. Food is good. Not much variety but you can always find something you'll enjoy. Entertainment was good: some nights are better, some nights are not so much :) beach is great. Plenty if lounges to choose from no matter when you decide to go to the beach. Getting to the ocean may be a bit tricky for those with reduced mobility since there are some steep sandy steps to take. Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Amazing vacation!

The resort is beatiful, the service is excellent.We relly like that it is a family friendly resort, my daughter had a great time, the food was amazing, lots of variety. We had a really nice vacation, planning to come back next year.

absolutely beautiful, staff were very friendly and helpful !!! The only complaint i would have which is not much of one, is to have some circulation, example - ceiling fans in the buffet restaurant and maybe the shows at night, very still hair and some people struggling

Great resort. We have been there four times now. Beaches are the best I've seen in Cuba. Food not as good as in the past, but still quite good. Service great. Staff are so friendly. A bit run down now, but still quite nice.

This hotel is amaZing!! My second time there and won't be the last. Nothing but great things to say about hotel. Everyone should give this hotel a try! The staff are amazing fun and friendly. Made me feel so welcome

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Great vacation

Favorites parts: - The hotel - Coffee bars +++ - Seafood restaurant and its desert bar! It was amazing...so many choices - The Beach - The staff were friendly - The Grounds were fun and well kept...not sure how else to describe...felt very "grand" - The details in the rooms like the charger for different cell phones attached to the alarm clock/phone were cool. Even details like a light that turns on in the safe was cool. Good parts: - Buffet restaurants (Love their hazelnut chocolate crepes!) - [... read more] A la carte restaurants - Popcorn available in the evening at main bar near lobby - Can visit other attached resorts Disappointments: -They forgot it was our honeymoon or were never notified as we had asked when we booked with tripcentral. At the reception they said "congratulations" and that was it. We actually had to provide proof we had just gotten married. When we finally did provide proof they left a bottle of champagne in our fridge two days later and that was it...very uneventful and truly a disapointment from what was implied. If you are looking for special attention or details on your honeymoon don't go here. We still enjoyed ourselves because the resort does not make a honeymoon! - The beds are pretty hard. Took a few days and we got used to it. - The Spa needs a lot of work on the beds and in the baths. Tiles loose and probably hard to get clean since they had done some patch work.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing people

I love the Cuban people and the gorgeous beaches. The resort was pretty. We had trouble with the air conditioning. They need to improve the quality of the food. The restaurants were good but the buffet was not.
