Paradisus Punta Cana: Another amazing vacation!

Third visit to the Paradisus Punta Cana. Highly recommend the Royal Service and if you do ask for Alex as your Butler. The beach is very clean and both the private pool and beach are very close to the suite. All of the restaurants offer very good food. A number of them are open air restaurants so make sure you use some OFF because the mosquitos can be bad. Aside from that looking forward to returning again next year.

Impressive Punta Cana: beautiful resort

This hotel is close to the airport and very clean and well kept. Food is great and drinks are plentiful. I liked not having to wear a bracelet and no reservations for the restaurants. lots of chairs are the beach and pool. no shade at the beach. there are 4 pools, the swim up bar is also the kids fun pool.. not well thought out? you can upgrade your services for $10/day. We didnt do this and after taking to people that did, it isn't worth it. there is only an extra pool and restaurant and r [... read more]oom service. we didnt get beer in our fridge everyday, but neither did the people that paid extra for the upgrade. also you get free WIFI at the theater, or you can pay 30.00 a week for full use. this is NOT included in the upgrade either.No premium drinks to speak of, and this resort is not 24 hours. it is a very lovely place and is great if you are thinking of taking children.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Beautiful resort!

This resort had absolutely something for all ages The water park was a wonderful added feature ....a real drawing card.The staff were friendly and always willing to help.....grounds were well maintained as well. Enjoyed seeing the various species of birds and the very tame peacock that would visit our site daily.

Le Sivory: Great Value

The resort was clean quite isolated and was just what we looked for in a vacation resort . 5 out of 5 . We choose the Deluxe suite with a pool ,ocean view , and seconds from the beach . Lots of comfortable beach beds and great warm ocean waves. 5 out of 5 Food. Great buffets, always cheerful staff , 5 out of 5 .However the restaurants were not what we expected, 3.5 out of 5 . In saying this we are use to fine dinning. Our resort was great overhaul.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: A so-so resort

I had visited Grand Sirenis' Maya Beach Resort, Mexico 6 times & based on very good experience there, I decided to try their Punta Cana Resort. I was disappointed. I have arthritis, but was placed very far away from the Buffet Restaurant & pool, forcing me to take very long walks. There was no Electric Car Shuttle Service for a plebe like me! These Cars were only for the use of VIP clientele ! Food quality & service was very poor. At the Tex-Mex restaurant, my steak arrived very late - af [... read more]ter prompting - and very cold. The next time, they served my appetizer & main course at exactly the same time - of course my main course was cold. At the Japanese Restaurant, all food was overly drenched in Soy Sauce! ETC.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Yes, Majestic Colonial is an Amazing resort!

First of all, l want to mention that I can't believe some people are complaining about this resort. It was one of our best experience here. Starting with the check-in, which was fast and nicely done, then the room was so impressive, big, clean and we were waited with a bottle of champagne and a big plate with fruits. Restaurants and buffets do very good job, food and drinks being great, lots of variety and high quality. Bars are spread all over so everyone can get drinks when they get thirsty. People, starting with the ones from the reception (both receptions) are lovely, very polite and doing a great job. All the waiters, barmans, maids, clergymen and workers have a pleasant smile on their faces when they say Hola! We loved your resort, Majestic Colonial Punta Cana! We hope to come back soon!

The accommodations were beautiful. The resort was excellent, staff was attentive and friendly. Everything was so accessible, beach, pools and restaurants. Have traveled many places and I would definitely return. I thought it was a fabulous resort and an amazing value.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Amazing vacation and experience

This hotel was simply amazing. The staff was top notch and the grounds beautiful. Food was good too! I do wish there had been more sit down lunch options near pool because the buffet got a bit repetitive

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great Resort

Everything was clean, grounds well cared for and the staff was friendly. Anything that needed to be done was addressed immediately. The food was amazing and they made a special effort for my husband as it was his birthday with three cakes and champagne.

Ocean El Faro: Awesome Vacation

The resort is very nice and the food is delicious with lots of variety. The beach is huge and the pools are wonderful, never an issue with securing a chair. The workers are very friendly and happy. Great vacation resort.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: AMAZING RESORT

I had stayed in resort for 2 weeks. That was a worry free vacation for me and my friend. Thank you! The grounds well maintained, pools and beech cleaned daily, room was a deluxe with a swim out, which we enjoyed so much. The cleaning was like a magic, nit and thorough. Special thanks to maids. Barcelo Bavaro Beach: A little piece of paradise!

Just back from 10 day stay at this hotel and we wish we were still there! We were surprised at the size of our room and enjoyed the facilities offered. The food was excellent, offered a wide variety and everything was fresh. There were plenty of chairs both around the pool and on the beach which was very close to all rooms. The staff were courteous and security was present at all times. The only thing we were disappointed with was the fact that the hotel did not offer free wifi on the adults-onl [... read more]y complex. Wifi was available only in the casino at the Barcelo Grand Palace. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Living like a king and queen

Honestly... This place is heaven. Great staff excellent food at most a or carts, the ambar was steps away from beach and the atmosphere was nothing short of excellence! Everything we expected and more!

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Expected better

The resort is beautiful. The room was large, but average...a little outdated and had a bad odour. Food was below average, but this was our first all inclusive so maybe that’s the norm. We received better service when we conversed in Spanish, or at least tried. Room service was awful. It took two hours (they quoted 45 minutes at the time of ordering on all three occasions), half the order was missing ALL three times, and cold ALL three times. We didn’t eat any of it. We watched as person after person dragged their band through the food at the buffet as they reached for food. Where have those wristbands been?!? It was disgusting! No deadbolt on the hotel room door and no peephole. Asked staff (butler) about shopping and he arranged a shuttle for us. Terrible experience, didn’t feel safe and the van broke down. We later discovered better shopping opportunities at the Elegance. There is no need to leave the resort for shopping, there’s nothing more offsite than what is offered at the resort. Spoke to other guests, they all loved the resort grounds, complained about their rooms and were very disappointed with the food.

Overall we had good time there, however there were some issues like, when we checked in they gave us a room that its roof was leaking, then they gave us another room which was close to street and there was alot of noise that we couldnt sleep well that night then for the third room they asked us to pay extra for a better room which we didnt planned for, on top of these most of resort staff were not able to speak english which was an issue.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Racism was terrible :(

When we first got to the resort.... we were so happy to see the nice weather, the clean resort, the welcoming from staff but then reality hit over the next few days. Racism towards my husband was terrible. They wouldn't serve him until everyone else was served. We later learned that Dominicans are racist towards other Black people thinking they are Haitians. What disappointment this trip was. No more Dominican trip for us.... :(

Secrets Royal Beach: Nice resort.

We felt as though the resort was very clean, and well kept. We also thought that the food was exceptionally good. We did not like how much of our time was taken up saying "no thanks" to all of the hotel staff trying to sell us excursions, upgrades, time shares, etc. We were very turned off by this. As Canadians we try to be as polite as possible, which was a downside for us. We would have been far better off just being firm and saying "not interested" as soon as they started talking to us.

The grounds and the layout of the hotel were the ONLY good thing about this resort. The food was terrible, no variety at the buffet and the quality left a lot to be desired. The whole 7 days we were there, our room never got cleaned; garbages didn’t get changed, bed linens didn’t get changed, nothing. We put the sign up for our room to be cleaned daily but it was obviously ignored. The staff are not very friendly. There is no real lobby or lobby bar to hang out at, unless you are VIP. The resort itself is situated in what feels like the middle of a random street, and when we pulled up to it I actually said out loud, “I hope this isn’t ours” as it was like we were just stuck there and didn’t really feel like it was gated from the local town/village. There were constantly people on the resort trying to get you to buy stuff, which is fine, but they were absolutely relentless and wouldn’t leave you alone. The pools were DISGUSTING, to the point where you didn’t dare open your mouth because you might swallow bird poop. There were not enough palapas/umbrellas in the pool areas. The pool on our block had only three umbrellas, and not enough seating. People even took one of the umbrellas and placed it on their terrace (why, I’m not sure because their balconies were fully covered so they wouldn’t need shade). The next pool had hardly any chairs, and no umbrellas at all and was the dirtiest pool of the two we swam in. The main pool we didn’t go to because it was too busy and you could never find a chair; and also there weren’t many shaded areas. The a/c didn’t work in the room as it should have. It was without a doubt the dirtiest, most unpleasant resort I’ve ever stayed at. I can’t believe it was even recommended to us by the travel agent. I’d never return, and I’d never recommend this hotel to anyone. My partner and I both got sick during our stay, and while I can’t say if it was from the food or not, I wouldn’t be surprised if it were. We’ve been down south 6 times within the last 7 years and have never gotten sick except for this time.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great experience

The Grand Bahia complex of hotels is an awesome resort - great food, dynamite beach and perfect entertainment late night, every night. The rooms are comfortable, clean and close to everything, with shuttles and pools right by the door. The check-in process and booking of restaurants is quite a hassle and could be improved. The bar drinks and service could also be improved, but we stayed during holy week so perhaps this was the reason for delays and sloppy cocktails.
