Had a great time. Good food and service as well as a great beach. Friendly staff and always helpful. Beach was well maintained. Al cart restaurants were good as well as the main dining room. Would go back

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Beach was beautiful

The hotel is outdated BUT still very clean. Food was great. Don't go to the Japanese restaurant ... it wasn't that good. Staff was very friendly! Nightly entertainment wasn't as good as other vacations I've been on. However for the price, it was awesome!

Riu Palace Mexico: Fantastic Resort

Great food, grea staff, wonderful nighly entertainement, beautiful decor, great view from our room. Great shopping withim walking distance. The alacarte restaurants were fantastic. The maid service was great.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Great value for your money!

The staff was amazing. Very welcoming, attentive and friendly. The grounds were lovely and well kept. I enjoyed the buffet as well as the a la cartes. The Romantic was my favourite. The lobster dinner for an additional 20 CUC is well worth it. The lobsters tail was twice the of ours back home. The highlight for me was drinking fresh coconut water and then eating the coconut too!!

Sol Turquesa Beach: Good value, lovely staff

Had a wonderful vacation. 6 people in our party. No one got sick. Staff very friendly. During the week we were there saw improvements being made to the facilities every day. Nice to have watercraft included in fees. Jeep tour is a must. Beautiful beach and inspite of it being very busy we always found chairs and a spot in the shade! Pasta bar wonderful. Always had enough of everything. Helene in Cuban restaurant made Cuban pie for us on her time off!

The whole experience was wonderful. The beach was great, had an ocean view room. Pleasure to wake up to the view of the ocean. The hotel staff was very helpful. And the Sunwing representative was great. Thank you for your help Karol and Helen.

beautiful beach with lots of palms trees ,the food was great snack bar ,buffet & a la carte restaurant "Japanese" & "Italian" ,very clean resort would not hesitate to go back me & my husband loved our vacation .

Sol Turquesa Beach: A great resort

The people were so nice and very nice to be around. Resort is huge a great deal of steps. This resort has 7 pools. Beach is small with lots of sea weed. Food was excellent. We had great weather, and a great holiday.

Grand Memories Varadero: Fun in the Sun

RIU Varadero is a beautiful resort with an amazing beach. We loved the swimming and the cleanliness of the resort. The food was good, we loved the seafood! The entertainment was fun and local. The weather was great for most of the week we stayed.

Riu Ocho Rios: simply amazing!!

This is a great resort....our vacation was amazing from start to finish!!!! The resort is so close to the best excursions and the staff was so friendly and there to please....you wont be dissapointed choosing this resort!!! The beach is long and beautiful!!! Ive stayed at a Sandals in Jamaica and Riu was much better in my opinion!!!!

Grand Memories Varadero: not impressed

have stayed at a lot of all inclusives and heard good things about the RIU resorts,this was in no way a 4-5 star resort,we even paid extra for the deluxe section,this was at best a 3 star,the beds were of poor quality,unfriendly staff, cold food all the time at the buffet,had to ask 2 days in a row for water for our room , the maid would clean our room and re hang and fld the same wet towels for days instead of replaceing them with new ones,i could go on and on,not worth the money at all.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: nice resort

The hotel and grounds were well maintained.The variety and quality of the food was great.We were happy with the adult things but there was nothing for our small grandchild.The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Better than I thought!

Great food. Great atmosphere. Wasn't overcrowded. Lots of room at the beach and always had chairs available. The pictures don't do it justice. It is much nicer than the picture shown above. Couldn't have asked for a better resort. Friendly and inviting.

Riu Bambu: Not a fan!

We arrived on March 20th, and found the resort packed and the service not even close to anything rated a 4 or greater. It could have been the week we chose, as it was packed with spring break students. Not much room to maneuver around pool area. The beach has a lot of chairs but again, a far distance to get a drink. The palace is hands down a huge upgrade with much more selection, service, and amenities. Plus, the crowd was a nice variety and definitely not nearly as busy.

Riu Merengue: Nice resort for the price

Stayed for a week with my family. (March break 2015) Kids aged 9 & 14. It is a nice family resort but not alot of activities, especially for my 14 yr old. The grounds were very lush and well maintained and the staff friendly. The rooms were clean but very dated. There are 2 sections - the Village and Garden. I would suggest the Village section - if travelling with children. The pool area is quiet and not over crowded. We walked over to the Garden section and the pool there was VERY busy and crow [... read more]ded. The beach was nice, but due to the rough waters, you can not see the bottom. Which is a little unnerving when "things" brush by your leg. :) Selection of food was good. A little bland, but enough choices to keep us happy. Since this was our 1st visit to DR, it's hard to compare. Put it this way, I would go back, but I would try a few other places before I do. Just a note: Obviously this has nothing to do with the resort - for the 7 days - it would rain for 30 min in the morning and the same at night. Not sure if it's due to the mountains surrounding the area - but thought it worth mentioning.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Beautiful Resort

We stayed from March 10-17 for a week of beautiful weather. The staff was beyond friendly and always greated us with a smile. The resort was clean, the grounds were beautiful:) we enjoyed the beach and several of the pools. Both of our daughters age 8 months and 2 1/2 years loved the pool. Thank you for a great vacation

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Great Resort

My sister and I visited this resort several weeks ago. It was a wonderful experience. Great food, lots of variety, wonderful staff. The first time I have been to a resort where the night buffet was actually better than the a la cartes. If you are a beach person, this is not the place to go, but if you like lounging by the pool, it has 2 wonderful areas, one active pool and one quieter. Has a spectacular view I would definitely return here

Riu Cancun: Excellent Resort

From the moment I arrived to the hotel the professionalism was exceptional. All of the staff were friendly, inviting and informative. The hotel is spotless and was beyond my expectations. The food was great from the a la cartes to the buffets and lunch barbecues. The bartenders were very social and had a very good understanding of how to make the numerous cocktails offered. No complaints at all!

Sol Turquesa Beach: Beautiful resort

Memories of Holguin was an amazing trip!! The resort has beautifully well kept grounds, buffet and a la carts were delicious, 5 beautiful pools, swim up bar with awesome bartenders!! We were able to sit back and relax and enjoy the palm trees and atmosphere. We are looking for to going back next year!!

Riu Guanacaste: Beautiful Resort

Riu Gauanacaste Resort is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are clean and spacious, the food is awesome, the service is great, the beach is close, and there are always chairs available around the pool and beach. The only thing that is too bad, is that the drive to the rainforest is about 3 hours by bus.
