Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Amazing resort. Best in varadero

The hotel is amazing. Clean.best food ever. And i have been to all the resorts in varadero except the new international. It was so good i am going again in 2 weeks with my gf. The staff is so nice. The barman are amazimg. Cleani ng service is superb.

Club Karey: Amazing Location

1. Location is really great. All rooms are almost next to beaches 2. foods were bland and monotonous 3. Don't expect much amenities as it's 3 star hotel 4. Vegetarian can have the issue here as most of foods contained meat 5. Rooms are just OK with basic facilities

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Beautiful Resort.........

Beautiful resort but the food was terrible, dirty and unsafe. My girlfriend got food poising. Beaches were very nice and pool was very clean. Rooms left something to be desired but were not bad. Safe had no door, room key often didn't work had to change out 3 times. Atmosphere very nice.

Club Kawama: Surprising Gem

We were prepared for no frills and were pleasantly surprised. We had stayed at a 4 star in March of this year and I’d have to say this resort was just as good as that one and even better in some ways. Firstly, the setup was great. The lobby, pool area and entertainment area were all together so day or night we sat around the pool which was close enough to the entertainment to hear and see from poolside. Atmosphere was great. The resort itself is very long and narrow, and the beach stretches the whole length. At the other resort we stayed in there were never enough chairs on the beach or beside the pool. Not the case at Kawama. We could always find chairs and even an umbrella for shade. Our room was at the opposite end of the resort from the main area which was quite a hike back and forth multiple times each day but just outside our room was our very own often private beach which was nicer than the main beach and made up for the walk. This resort had all the same basic amenities as the four star we stayed in previously, but just not as many. For example, there were multiple bars, but not as many open at any given time, Same with the snack bars, these had limited hours and food choices. This resort is in walking distance of the main marketplace in Varadero and the first stop (15 mins) from the airport. Hot water was hit or miss but the maids are very friendly. Security guards are posted at points along the long walk and are very friendly. Bring something to trade with them as they have a long and boring job. If I were to come again I would bring them some special gifts like decks of cards, T-shirt’s, gum, hats, etc. Everyone brings gifts for the maids but these guys are often forgotten and you see/talk to them everyday. You will need to tip well to get good service st the buffet, this would be our biggest complaint, we were always looking for silverware or water and often going without or having to find our own, so tip well.

Palma Real: The worst resort/hotel I've seen.

The grounds were good. Hotel lobby and pool area had a nice vibe to them but the rooms and food were horrible. We stayed 1 night and paid $535 extra to move next door for the last 6 nights. That hotel was very good!

Starfish Jibacoa: Nice resort

Clean, relaxing, everyone is nice. I know that Cuba is struggling, so i didnt mind giving away all my clothes etc. But i found out i paid $800 more than someone with a beachfront room. Also the food was not ok.

Barcelo Solymar: Amazing resort

Hotel was very clean and the waiter/waitress / all staff treated us like we were the only ones there , would definitely recommend this resort , , the beach was breath taking , the pool was also good , I can’t say enough good stuff about this resort , Barcelo Solymar you are the best , I will be returning

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Excellent staff, would make a return trip

We vacationed to this hotel over the Christmas break. The staff made a very conscious effort to ensure we were taken care of in every aspect. The only issue that we had was during our visit, the weather was a little o the cool side and were disappointed that neither of the he jacuzzi's were in operation.

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Resort needs improvement

The hotel itself is gorgeous, the grounds are amazing. The food needs improvement, food is never hot and there is no variety. We've been to Cuba many times and we love the food but this was not Cuban standard.However, Christmas eve dinner there was a lot to choose from, sad that we didn't have that for the other days. We booked this resort because we saw in the pictures that there was a play structure in the pool. When we got there it was rolled up and set aside. A storm came threw during our stay and the ocean wasn't safe to swim for a couple of days, the structure would of been great to have. The positive part of this trip is the staff, they made our stay amazing. Our tummy were empty but our hearts were filled. A new owner has taken over in the past 2 months and he's making changes...we read a lot of reviews before coming and they were good. Maybe this new owner shouldn't change too many things as they might lose a lot of returning vacationers.

Playa Vista Azul: Very good

Hotel was amazing. Everyone was perfect . Rooms,pool, beach were amazing. They make our vacation very good also food was more than good . Service that provide during our trip was perfect as well the parties. People everything was good I suggest for everyone to go there and make their holidays more than awesome The only things that we need that WIFI service in the hotel

Melia Las Americas: Very good resort!

Room is clean, view is wonderful! Beach is what I want to swing in. But foods is less choices. One bar is cheese and ham, one bar is fruits, one bar is salad. Only one bar is cooked food. I prefer cooked food!

Playa Vista Azul: I Love Vista Azul

I rate this hotel 10 out of 10. The food, the room, the facility and the service are absolutely fantastic. We had a great time staying at this hotel for 2 weeks. Very accessible to the bus stop, all the staffs are hard workers and friendly.

Starfish Varadero: Never again at this resort

I have been to Cuba a total of 14 times. 10 of those times were to Varadero so I know what to expect of a local hotel. I received an email advising of construction so I was prepared. This particular hotel has a lot more downs than ups. Resonance Blu Varadero: Great week in cuba

Memories was a great hotel for us to stay at! Rooms, lobby, pools and restaurants were always very clean. Only small issues was there was often no toilet paper in the women’s washrooms. Also on cloudy days our shower wasn’t very warm so guessing maybe it was solar heated. Food was decent for the buffet and the à la cartes were great... snack bar near pool one was a great alternative to the buffet, especially for breakfast! Roc Barlovento: Review

We like the Resort, we have been before that is why we returned. It was better before, the service is good but the Mexican restaurant is not as good, the food and the old waiter was much better. The entertainment during the day not very good, it used to be much better.

Club Kawama: Beach was great

The hotel to old and not maintained. I got locked in the bedroom and the guy enter from window to open the lock and made the door unsafe from inside. The tv table was broken. I called the reception three times and did not get any respond.

Resonance Blu Varadero: We had a great time but food was horrible.

The hotel was beautiful, big but nice. We were in building 33 which was very far from the main lobby. We had to walk 1km in the morning just to get some coffee. I would recommend bringing your own coffee and ask for a coffee machine in the room. The beach and pools were awesome, lots of entertainment during the day. The staff was amazing (especially Jenny at the main lobby bar). Only downfall was the food, it was horrible, always the same food at the buffet (morning, lunch and dinner). My husban [... read more]d got sick on day 3 with chicken (from the beach BBQ buffet). He barely ate for the rest of our staying. They really need to improve their food quality and add more variety.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Nice resort with good pool and great beach

The resort is clean ,food is good and great service. The pool is fun with lots of activities and of course the fabulous beach . For a change the food is pretty good. Most of the restaurants are ok and one should try them all. We loved hanging at the beach and bars ,where the service is excellent. The rooms are a bit run down but on request they moved us to a better one

Best food we have ever had in Cuba! Best evening entertainment we have ever had in Cuba! Zero sarcasm. It was a great way to spend Christmas as a family. Rooms were functional but a bit tired. Pretty certain our comforter spent it’s previous life as a curtain.
