Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Fun!

The hotel itself was clean, the staff were polite and very accommodating. The beach wasn't too far away and the beach restaurant was clean and the food was good. Overall, every restaurant we went to the food was very good. Our room was taken care of every day, the fridge was stocked. Evening entertainment was entertaining. I had a lot of fun for this being my first time in Jamaica and I am looking forward to returning. Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great resort

Our stay was very enjoyable and relaxing. Clean and courteous. A thank you to all staff members. Rooms are ocean view with balcony, spacious and clean. Food has a wide variety for all ages. Entertainment was different and involves all. Would recommend for quiet relaxing holiday for all ages.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great resort

The property is very clean and we'll kept. No complaints with our oceanfront room. The beach bar was a nice touch but maybe could be open a bit later. Closed at 6:00 and a few days was still very crowded leaving everyone heading to the lobby bar. Over all this place is worth checking out.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Beautiful setting and great service

This was our first trip to the hotel, and the location was great and facility had lovely manicured gardens. Our room package came with a butler and she looked after us with great attention to detail. (this was over Valentine's Day which she made extra special) The food was good both at the buffets and a la carte restaurants. The only "issues" we had was that as non-smokers it was difficult to eat outdoors in the daytime or evening without having someone smoke near us as there were no designa [... read more]ted smoking sections and the other was that some guests took it upon themselves to reserve beach chairs first thing in the morning and did not show up until early afternoon - which was not fair to other guests. Both of these small issues were discussed with the manager and he advised they are working on a plan to address both concerns. Overall it was a great holiday and a place that we would highly recommend for a more secluded getaway that is not the big hotel experience. Glad we went with our travel agent's suggestion and will be going again someday!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Good resort

We enjoyed our week at the Grand Bahia Príncipe Punta Cana. The resort could use some updating, which only stands out because of the brand new Fantasia beside it and the adults only Ambar on the other side. The beach is beautiful, the many pools were never crowded. The food was great, however we were only able to get one a la carte reservation, which was disappointing. They only had times after 9:30 pm, and that doesn't work with our kids. I will also mention the bugs, there were tons of mosquitos in our room. They offered to fumigate, but we didn't want to spray the room with something we weren't sure of. They also had "no seeums" (not sure if that's a proper name) and we came home with a ton of itchy bug bites. We did have some rain, so that may have made the bugs worse. All in all it was a good resort and I would recommend as long as you brought bug spray or aren't bothered by mosquitos😊

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Very nice resort.

We just traveled to the Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa in Samana for a week we had an awesome trip. The food was good. The resort was clean. The only problem we had was the air conditioner in our room smelt like mould. Not nice at all. Other than that our room was clean, the resort itself was very clean.

The rooms were ok, but the food was fantastic. Very family oriented resort. Maybe offering more activities would benefit! Overall, very good experience :) The beach was not the greatest but the staff were extremely accommodating and I did not have any problems. Would recommend going if you are looking for a family oriented vacation.

All and all, I didn't mind this resort. People were great but service at times slow. I preferred the buffet to the A La Carte except the Italian restaurant. Rooms/Resort/Grounds were very clean & well kept.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Amazing resort for families with small children

The resort is amazing for young families, not so much for couples. The resort is nicely laid out, easy access to pools, buffets, beach etc. The rooms are very clean and spacious, however, the AC is on a motion / eco sensor so does not run unless you are in your room which can be very uncomfortable coming back to a very warm room after a day in the sun. As well, it's rated a 5 star but high end premium drinks are not included and the food is very much the same as in every resort, you won't go hun [... read more]gry but nothing special. The best part of this resort are the staff, we were greeted upon check-in by a very friendly young lady and our rooms were ready upon arrival (noon), the housekeeping staff always supplied us with towels and toiletries and our bar was re-stocked every day; no issues getting beach towels. We traveled with another couple and found most of the guests kept to themselves or were busy tending unruly children so there wasn't any friendly conversations with other guests we are used to at other resorts. It is a lovely resort but I wouldn't go back, we paid less money at other resorts and had a lot more fun.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing Resort

This resort is a beautiful luxury resort. The grounds are beautiful and impeccably kept. It feels like you are walking in a tropical jungle. The staff is extremely friendly and the service was top notch. The resort is spotlessly clean at every turn. The food was amazing and the presentation outstanding. Whether you are at the beach or poolside, the bar service is fast and friendly. We had an amazing time with a group of friends and would definitely return to this resort. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Nothing special

There were many shortcomings. Our room keys didn't work on the first day, so we had to wait for a technician to come and change the door battery. The air conditioner was broken when we arrived, so we had to wait for another technician. Minibar was rarely stocked. Also, some of the equipment at the Ambar Blue gym likely has not been replaced since the 80s. Also , it was very difficult to communicate with much of the customer service staff as few of them speak English, which one would expect [... read more] in a tourist environment. Finally, much of the restaurant staff was constantly trying to sell us cocaine.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice Resort

We travelled to Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica the week of February 11-18, 2017. The resort and grounds were very nice. The rooms were very clean and the staff at the resort were very friendly. The food at the buffet was very good, however it was odd to see dinner menu items at the buffet for breakfast. We visited 3 restaurants that require reservations. The Don Pablo restaurant was our least favourite and took forever to get our food, we also didn't get any napkins after asking for them 3 ti [... read more]mes. We went to the Japanese restaurant twice, once at a table and once when they cook in front of you. I would recommend booking a seat when they cook in front of you as the food was much better. The last restaurant we went to was the Italian Restaurant on our last night, it was by far the best food we had the entire trip and would have attempted to go to the restaurant again if we knew it was that good. The appetizer/soup/salad/dessert was buffet style and the food was amazing. The beach near the kids waterpark was very nice, with lots of places to get shade and tons of chairs. There were some stones within the first 3 feet of the shoreline but they could easily be avoided. The pool areas were very nice but if you didn't find a chair with shade by 9:30am you were out of luck. The carpet in the hallways needed to be replaced as there were many stains, however it didn't bother us. The drink selection at the bars was lacking. Bartenders continually said they didn't have the proper items to make certain drinks. I would visit this resort again if the right deal presented itself, but would try somewhere else if the price remains high.

Very immaculate place, the grounds, pool area, beach all met our expectation. Food was great and always something good to find. Lots of on ground or off site activities.No shortage of Rum or bar area to find, plenty of seating on the beach or pool side. Scuba should be an adventure for anyone at this site, great dive site

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Mixed Feelings

This resort has beautiful grounds, nice layout and nice rooms. The beach was disappointing and there is no escaping the constant noise, even in the room, it echoes through. For the most part, awesome staff. A little disappointed overall based on experienced with other Bahia properties.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great stay

This was my second time visiting Bahia Principe in Cancún and I have to say I will go again and again as my budget allows Every aspect of my visit was great. From the food to the cleanliness of the facilities to the friendliness of the staff I would recommend it to anyone visiting

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Excellent resort for the whole family.

Huge resort with excellent transportation to all points of attraction, rooms very clean and refreshed daily, beach and pools ready for everyone to enjoy. All personnel friendly and happy to help with any request. Very enjoyable and relaxing vacation.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great stay, lots of friendly staff, very helpful

The food was good, lots of variety, weather was warm, of course booking restaurants by 11;00am the day after we arrived at 11:00pm, was challenging, no decent times left. Everyone we spoke to said they had a 10:30pm spot left every night for the Japanese style restaurant (6 nights and only 10:30 left for seating). Mexican and Italian restaurants were great. All bars were consistently awesome with drinks, internet issues all the time, day or night in the lobby but, hey we were on vacation. WestJe [... read more]t agents and BD travel (their tour guide company) were usually available and very accommodating, thanks to Claudia and Jonathon at BD. The WestJet/BD office is right beside the Tequila Store and you can book your excursions there. We were not pleased with the FREE BD tour to Playa Del Carmen as our first stop was at a jewelry factory (not store) where they give you a 10 minute intro of who does not does what, gemologist, etc. then 1 1/2 hour pressure sales by more than 20 staff!!! Again free silver tag with your name in Mayan, then 1/2 hour in a glass blowing place - interesting and beautiful pieces, no pressure sales there, then lunch or supper in Playa Del Carmen (ok but better food on the resort), then free to roam for 2 1/2 hrs in Playa Del Carmen. Front desk helpful, if you want to print your return ticket confirmation off, there is NO BUSINESS CENTRE! You have to wait in line at the same area, next to the front desk, where you book the restaurants and hotel excursions. When bringing your bags to the front to check out (or calling for them to be brought there) PLEASE make sure you check out at the front desk and bring the keys for the room and towels back by 12:00. They tried to charge us for not checking out at the cost of $10.00/hr after 12:00, our bags were out front at 10:00am. They gave in. The beach was far from our end of the resort at Coba, 8 minute golf cart ride, carts were around fairly often. Nice Hacienda and very small Casino. Overall very pleased with everything at the resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great resort - great value!

This was our 3rd visit to the Grand Bahai Principe. This time in the Tulum section Close to the beach - easy walk Tropical fish for your snorkelling pleasure Ate at the buffet for all meals - lots of choice, tasty food, vegetarian section, all food labeled Nice rooms, cleaned well daily, fridge stocked daily Quiet and active / noisy pools Friendly, helpful staff Overall great time!!

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Good trip

Hotel , pools, food and rooms ok, staff very were very friendly and helpful. Kids enjoyed the water park and pools. Lobby bars were very busy the first few days as we had rain. We did however experience bed bug bits, though at the time we thought they were other bits, until got home. Overall all we got what we paid for, resort was very busy the week we stayed.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Relaxing escape from Canadian winter

This hotel was everything we wanted - gorgeous beach, beautiful hotel, and a relaxing atmosphere for a week long escape from the cold Canadian winter. The beach was definitely the highlight: you could walk for miles in either direction and barely run into anyone else. Soft sand and some really cool coral/marine life to go snorkeling. The food at this resort was great - really exceeded my expectations. The buffet has different themes for dinner every night so they do try to switch up the food. I highly recommend the restaurants - all four were good but the Brazilian steak house on the beach was a highlight. Staff are all very friendly and the hotel is clean and beautiful. Very nice landscaping / gardens. The grounds are not too big and my boyfriend and I were able to walk from our room at the far end to the lobby in 5 minutes max. Suites were spacious with a well stocked mini bar and a beautiful big bathroom. Would definitely go back!
