Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Overall great resort.

Nice that it’s only half an hour from the airport. Air transit employees were very helpfull even on the return when the flight was delayed 2 hours. Resort was fantastic and recently renovated. The swim up pool room we had was a nice feature at the end of a long day at the beach. Food was overall very good but disappointing that ther were no gluten free options as I have celiac. Mayan Rivera asked at each restaurant about food allergies, but this place was not as aware it seemed. The resort was very neat and clean and the staff were all very good.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Great for families...bad for tummies

The grounds, pools, splash park, rooms, and kid zone were great! We had lots of fun! The food left something to be desired and by the weeks end both my husband and myself were sick as was our 7 year old....our son did not get sick but he stuck to plain pasta and cereals as he’s a fussy eater. We also did not get notified that our shuttle was moved up 6 hours and people were sent to a different resort due to plane delay. We showed up 2 hours before our shuttle and waited 11 hours for our shu [... read more]ttle before taking a taxi to the airport at 330am so we didn’t miss our flight. Staff did not communicate anything to us even after asking many questions.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Not impressed

The grounds are beautiful. The bed was very hard. Staff were rude and ignorant. Not what I expect from a Bahia Principe The only way I had beer in my room was when I went to complain about it. So in 7 days I had beer twice. Maid would leave 1 pkg of coffee but no sugar or creamer. Or no coffee. I never knew what I would get. We arrived at the resort around 11am. Never had a room til almost 5pm.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Resort was nice

The hotel itself was nice. Too big for my personal preference. A few of the staff were very pleasant, but most were rude and impersonal. The food was average, a la carts were ok, but hard to book. Especially since i speak very little spanish, felt as if i was interupting the person taking the booking. 24 hour restaraunt was non existant. Shopping was a little too high priced, and sales people extremely pushy. Had a theft from our room, front desk treated us as if we were lying. Nothing was e [... read more]ver resolved. Ni beer in our fridge for 3 days, until i complained. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Ok resort

The hotels is well maintained if somewhat limited in activities. In order to communicate you had better have learned Spanish or it's a guessing game. Great beach adult pool full of kids avoid pool.food was virtually the same every day but well made Nice trip overall Gail and lee

Ocean El Faro: Great Resort

We were there Apr 7-14/19 , we knew it was a new resort so we expected growing pains. The rooms were a good size and clean. Restocking the fridge was spotty at best. The restaurants were busy and the food was good. We walked the beach as there was a lot of seaweed so we spent most of the time at the pool and the lazy river. The resort was short staff for the amount of people staying at the resort. The service was slow but very friendly. The staff were doing their best. Management should also look at what I call the vultures trying to sell you travel packages (another name for time share) they are very annoying.. Riu Palace Macao: Amazing Resort is so true thank you.

This was a fantastic resort for a holiday and would go back many more times.The people took care of all your needs and where very well liked by all. The property was very clean,the pools were clean and warm the food was to die for fantastic variety every meal time,the beach was very clean and the ocean was nice and warm.The nightly entertainment was first class great shows.I would recommend this resort to any family and friends to go there. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful 5 Star Hotel

This hotel is fabulous. Beautiful swim up room topped it off for us. Everything is kept so clean and the service is exceptional. Would definitely revisit. The pools and ocean is a paradise. Entertainment most nights was really good. Plenty of options for food at buffet or specialty restaurants.

Blau Natura Park Resort: Beautiful Resort

Very clean , friendly helpful staff. Good food , amazing beach , clean rooms Beautiful grounds and scenery if you couldn’t find something to eat it would not be the fault of the resort and they had a full range of excursions

Riu Republica: Great vacation, but...

Riu Republica is well managed. We had a good room, weather was great, walks on the beach were engaging. Restaurants and buffets, appetizing. My disapproval was in the size of the resort... and with the noisy boisterous pool sides and an overcrowded beach. What these huge resorts gain in size, they loose in privacy, exoticism and respect for nature. Is this the new trend in the Caribbean tourism? To replicate our city life in America. Hope not! Built side by side, with absolutely no natural space in between, there is no territory for nature and its species to grow and strive. By the way I have not seen many beach birds on the beach. I hope, wish, owners and their administrative staff would plan environmentally conscientious sites where architecture would blend with this unique and beautiful part of our world. Create smaller sites where we could live in harmony with nature.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Very clean resort

The resort was beautiful. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large which could my two son's family with their wife and two sons. One of the best beaches I've seen in the Caribbean. My grandsons loved the pool, water slides and the entertainment in the evening. The only thing we did not like was the food at the buffet restaurant . The food was not as good as a another resort we stayed at in Punta Cana, three other times.. Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Absolutely Amazing!!!

This was our first time going to an all inclusive resort and The Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana was beautiful! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating! The rooms are very clean and well maintained...beautiful. the service was amazing! The food...all kinds of different cuisines and it was yummy!! Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Just not for us ....

Our experience at this hotel was not a good one. From the moment we checked in until the day we left we had several issues. We are not difficult people to please. We are simple and want to enjoy a nice holiday. As soon as we checked in we were immediately harassed by individuals trying to sell us shares. This continued on for days until we threatened to file a complaint against them. Our room was below average. The maids completed the most basic cleaning they could. Make the bed, refresh the towels and wipe the floor. Our shower and sinks were not cleaned the entire time we were there. The doors and the walls in the room were filthy. One of our cupboard doors fell off the hinge the day we arrived and was only fixed the day before we left (day 9), despite many requests. The grounds were clean and the resort looked very pretty at night with all of the lights. There are 2 pools. The main 'party' pool and then a quieter pool closer to the beach. We did not set foot in the 'party' pool. We saw some interesting things go on and decided to stick to the other pool. I'm glad we did. The party pool was like a frat party. Clothing optional, etc. The second pool was nice and we spent most of our time there or at the beach. They allow smoking at this resort ….anywhere you want to smoke, you can light up. In the pool, beside the pool, at the beach. Despite all of the smoking the grounds were kept clean. Except the beach - there were a lot of cigarettes and cigars in the beach sand. You could find areas that were cleaner than others and this is what we did. The water and the beach itself was really beautiful. The food was ok - the main buffet was pretty plain. The restaurants however did have very good food. We passed on the buffet and went to a restaurant every night. They were all delicious. The weather was our saving grace for 10 days. It was exceptionally beautiful with blue skies and lots of sunshine.

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Excellent Resort

We have been to Punta Cana several times. This resort exceeded our expectaton. I would highly recommend it! The staff were very friendly and the standard of service was just amazing. We will definitely return next year.

Occidental Punta Cana: Beautiful resort - terrible food - spotty service - very annoying vendors.

Lovely grounds, beach is great, pools were great. Service was very spotty, but the food was absolutely terrible. We had heard that the food at all-inclusives was generally poor so we were prepared with low expectations but this was unbelievable. Also the main bar is in a massive lobby and is not a friendly environment - very bright, noisy, poor service. They run out of napkins and coffee cups in the buffet every morning. They run out of beach towels everyday.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing vacation!!!

Everything about the hotel was perfect! This was our second stay, first time as royal golden and would definately book royal golden again! Our room was the first building at the beach and pool, everything was close to our room. The food was delicious and the beach was beautiful. We had a very nice and sunny week, can't wait to go back next year.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Quite the disappointment...

My buddies and I had a late flight in, and arrived at the hotel at 7:30pm Dominican time. Despite rooms typically being ready by 3pm, our room wasn't ready for us. The maid was sloshing a bunch of dirty water across the floor in a panic, our A/C unit was leaking and dripping through the ceiling, the lock-box/safe was a tiny metal box screwed to the wall with 1 screw... (as if this is somehow acceptable and safe for me and my guests to leave thousands of dollars, our cellular devices, our jewelry [... read more] and our passports in?!?!?) What a joke! Then we realize that the lock-box/safe doesn't even have a lock or combination pad... and that we had to rent a lock and key from the front desk for $21 USD. Once we had rented the lock and key, we then realized that the safe itself was damaged and that the door wouldn't allow the lock to fit into it regardless. We proceeded to sit in our rooms for 3 hours, while waiting for a hotel staff to come and solder the box, to allow the key to fit. If that wasn't enough; our toilet flooded after the first flush. I have traveled to 23 different resorts, and it's safe to say that this resort was one of the worst resorts I have ever visited. My friends and I were transferred to 3 separate room locations within 2 days, before agreeing to pay for an upgrade to the privilege side of the resort. All three rooms had broken A/C units, and we spent the entirety of our stay in a 26-28deg C room. I will could not be more displeased.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Great Vacation Experience!

Just got back from 7 days and overall had a great experience. We booked a junior suite which was clean, and spacious. Fridge is stocked with a bottle of rum, pop and water only, if you are looking for beer you won’t find any.The grounds are well kept, and very beautiful, clearly they are trying to keep as many trees on the property as possible. The Pool was meters away from the sandy beach making it very easy to visit both every day. Public washrooms were kept very clean, and always were well stocked. All the staff were extremely friendly, there are a few that made our stay that much more enjoyable. If you are looking for a banana mama made with fresh bananas look for Dariel at the swim up bar! Wilson at the beach bar always happy and cheerful, remembering your favourite drink. The lobby bar had a great atmosphere at breakfast you could always get a mimosa or cappuccino served by a friendly face- Jimmy and Luis.At night the lobby bar got a little more lively and not only a great place to meet people from all around, but the bartenders kept everyone entertained with lots of laughs. Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Another excellent stay at the level

This was our second stay in the last two years at the Meliá Punta Cana, again another awesome time. After reading all the negative reviews from the last year , let me say please don’t believe some of the negative reviews people write the Meliá has made some positive changes ALL for the best!
