Tryp Cayo Coco: poor resort

SORRY TO SAY THIS RESORT IS CALLED (CAT RESORT ) CAT FAMILY EVERY SIDE YOU WALK EVERY ONE IS GIVING THEM TO EAT . ALSO DO NOT SPRAY ENOUGH FOR MOSQUITOS I GOT BITTEN ALL OVER . WHEN YOU REACH THERE THEY SAY NO RESTAURANTS A LA CARTE AVAILABLE ONLY 1 INTERNATIONAL RESTAURANT WHICH YOU CANNOT EAVEN GET A PLACE . Hotel Mojito: My friends and I had a magnificent time, it just kept getting better every day, fun, excitement,entertainment, and not to mention perfect weather.Our booking agent was always ready to help,thanks for a life-changing experience!.

very good natured staff, beautiful rooms and comfortable amenities.I liked the decor which was very lodge oriented with lovely stained glass and glazed tile. The gardens were spectacular and just a short walk to a taxi stand with ubiquitous vintage cars. The excursions were a blast, and we all enjoyed a great rest and good meals.

Melia Jardines del Rey: The perfect Resort

My husband and I went for our 15 year anniversary, wasn't sure what to expect, we had never been to Cuba before, we loved it! The resort was beautiful, staff were great and food was good, there was lots of different things to choose from . The pools were the best pools we have ever seen at resorts. They were huge and clean . We will definitely be going back.

Melia Costa Rey: Amazing

This was the best resort I been in Cuba. The food was amazing, alot of selection. The layout was well thought out and everything is near by. Definitely will return to this resort. Highly recommended. It is close to the airport, which is a plus.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Fantastic Holiday!!

This was our 4th time in Cuba and our 2nd time in Cayo Coco....We loved the Resort. It was the best food we have ever had in Cuba. We had pasta, eggs, your choice of meat, fruit smoothies made in front of you....There were different things at the Buffet. The hotel was clean. Public bathrooms were clean. The pools were clean. They actually had staff in the pool cleaning the walls. Any concerns we had were taken care of quickly. They were few......The front desk safe were very pleasant and helpful. I had to visit the Doctor while I was there and they were very Professional. I would see the Doctor's at the Buffet and they would always ask how I was and stop and chat. You can get Wifi in the lobby bar for 21/2 pesos for an hour. The Staff are very helpful with non tech savvy people like myself!! Music in the lobby bar in pm is really enjoyable. Bring cards to play while you sit there and listen. The Bar staff were very good, especially with our children. Very respectful. The Staff in general were fantastic!! The Cuban people are so wonderful. Rosa and Rydell in the buffet and all their team, plus an older gentleman I can't remember his name. Rydell would have our table ready for us with wine on it when we came for lunch!! Oscar and the Blonde girl (sorry, name escapes me) at the Mojito Stand at the Pool were great!! Oscar was fantastic with the kids. The kids also loved the Cuban version beaver tail. stand by the pool. The gentleman would make different shapes for the girls. All staff at the snack bar, a la cartes, beach bar were great. The Entertainment staff are the best I have seen in Cuba and they are very enthusiastic and great with the kids. We also went to the spa. It is not as fancy as a spa in Canada, but we had a great girl bonding time. While we were there, there were 2 weddings. Both couples said they worked very hard to make it a memorable experience. All the cleaning staff were great and pleasant and very helpful. The girls loved the designs they left on the bed with the towels. You can leave anything out and it won't be touched. The grounds keepers and staff on the beach and security guards are all great. There is even an Iguana named Mario at the Beach. You can feed him and he likes to be patted under the chin. You can go for walks on the beach in each direction. It is very safe. I would go back in a second. There were numerous guests who had been there numerous times. Our kids didn't want to leave. I tipped a lot. They don't expect it but greatly appreciate it. If I was home I would tip and they work very hard for you and deserve the same. The a la cartes were good. The Asian was our favourite. The food was so good at the buffet we didn't care if we used all our aloted times. There were repeat guests who didn't even use them. The red wine is great. The coffee and Tea was great and they make specialty coffees as well that are really good! We had a wonderful holiday at this resort.

Hotel Vigia: Mixed review

The Beach, Staff, Food AMAZING! Unfortunately the rooms need a lot of work. There were 8 of us that went on this vacation and we all requested to change our rooms due to mold, toilets and air-conditioning not working. The staff was so accommodating and the new rooms they gave us were acceptable. We are also a group that like to experience tours and unfortunately (poss due to the size of the resort) none of the representatives ever showed up to assist us. Hotel Camino del Mar: Another amzing vacation with travel friends and Melia Cayo Guillermo Friends.

The Melia Cayo Guillermo never disappoints, I feel relaxed and at home before I walk through the front lobby. The new beach is amazing and provides lots of level walking area for beach walkers. The grounds are continually being groomed and well maintained. Our room was kept in tip top shape by Mildrey, and Jesus, Tommy, Yonel, Alfredo, Angelo, Carlo, Maria, Milly, Ilemy, and many other staff made our trip great. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: great time

staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food was acceptable however very repetitive. Rooms were decent. Pools were a bit small but overall it was a great time. Would go again. Loved that the kids club was right beside the pool so I could stay at the pool and still see the children.

Hotel Camino del Mar: funny you should ask??

Room 1328 filled with god dammed bed begs - I have over 80 bites on my body!!! Spraying lanacain, drinking apple cider vinegar and dabbing tea tree oil to get rid of the itch!!! Through my clothes out, luggage out - everything. Monday night 7:57 pm, we got back home Saturday morning. Itchy like hell! No, would not recommend this hotel.

Melia Costa Rey: Great time at the PULLMAN....

If you're looking for a resort that's new, has great food, a lovely beach and pool but most of all fantastic staff, well this is the resort for you. I've been to Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo over twenty times and this resort is impressive. The Pullman's design and layout is very modern with lovely decor.The first thing you will notice when you enter the lobby is the amazing panaramic view of the pool and ocean. Across from the reception is the long lobby bar. It has a large variety of drinks that are served by a wonderful team of bartenders(Daibel, Nelson, Serguey, Ismel, Maikel, Ebert...). If you're looking for a bartender that serves great drinks and has a great sense of humour, look for Daibel or Serguey. We were a group of 10 that stayed in the Collection, the adults only section.It was the first week of Oct.during Hurrican Matthew and luckily we were spared and it just passed by. The GM (Mr. Renaux) that opened this resort, was very professional during this time. He made us feel safe by keeping us up to date and being seen everywhere throughout the resort. I'm sure the management team never slept during this time and I'm very grateful there was a plan in place for our safety and I thank them, and all the staff for a job well done! The Collection suites are a touch of class, bright and spacious with modern decor.Yamilet, our chamber maid kept our room sparkling clean and made sure we had everything we needed. The mini fridge was stocked daily with water, soda and beer. I can't think of one thing that wasn't in our room that would've made our stay more enjoyable. The toothbrushes and the magnifying mirror was a bonus. I loved the walk in rain shower, very modern,and the location of the tub(right beside the folding doors that open up to the bedroom/ lounge area). 24hrs a day, there was someone in the lobby at the Collection to help you in any way. They will also exchange money for you.The staff at the Collection are fabulous!(Ana, Lizdian, Yoenky,Lazaro, Amaury, Leonel, Carlos, Roy, Alcides,Adianez, Jose and the rest of the staff). Great food, a view and an outside patio,the Gourmet Restaurant in the Collection will not disappoint.(shrimp cocktail, lobster, creme brulee...).The 24hr snack bar served grilled chicken, gourmet hamburgers, salmon, club sandwiches, salads and a variety of specialty drinks. Couldn't ask for more, something for everyone, day or night.The pool area is beautiful with lots of balinese beds and loungers. We never had a problem finding shade anytime of the day, but it was the off season.The beach bar for the Collection area is not built yet but the main one is not far away. The one and only disappointment during the week was all the English music being played in the Collection area. The Christmas music had us all chuckling at one time or another.There wasn't one member of the staff in the Collection that didn't partake in making our vacation a memorable one.The lovely Yudy made everyone of us feel special. She's a gem! Wilbur and his fantastic entertainment team(Yugardy, aka Jimmy and Gerardo, to name a few) will keep you smiling and entertained. Every week there's a foam party in the main pool. It's a blast so don't miss it. Fun for ALL ages! The main buffet is the best I've seen and you can't beat Tuesday's lobster night. If you have young children, you have nothing to worry about. Yeisy, Yanelis and Genny are three fantastic and fun girls that will make sure your kids will have fun and be taken care of. There's also a disco on site, always someone from the entertainment team there, to dance or have a nice,lovely chat. Ask the lovely Oriesmy to make you a Miami Vice,they're great! Hotel Vigia: nice

Beach is beautiful. Staff are friendly. Room was clean and bright. Food is typical to Cuba. 3 bars to choose from and entertainment day and night. Drive to and from airport is not too long. Beach is recently widened and littered with sea shells.

Hotel Mojito: Exelent resort for fool relaxation

In this resort we were found everything for fool and deep relaxation. Comfortable accommodation, excellent service, amazing beach with snow white sand and crystal clear water. We found a spaces where we were alone or had a fun with other people. In our opinion this is right place for anybody who going to escape from big loudly city and relax in wonderful nature.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Amazing activities

Ground area is wonderful & well keep. They just need to trim some branches when we were there. Our building is nicely located not to far from buffet, swimming pool & beach. They could have improvement on cleanliness in washroom near buffet & swimming pool.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Praise for Pestana!

A great resort with friendly, helpful staff in all areas. Food was very good at the buffet and specialty restaurants. Rooms were clean and comfortable,with everything in working order. Phones were down for a few hours. We loved both the pool and the beach. We would certainly go back to this hotel. Our expectations were met a all levels.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Some inconveniences

One major problem occured in the bungalow no 11 where my room 11209 was located. Indeed, a messy sewage situation occured just the day I arrived - October 31st. No communication from the front desk or the hotel happened to explain the source of that foul odor in my room and others' rooms in the same building. I do not like to complain, especially in an environment of poverty. I have lived in Africa and it has taught me to be very very tolerant of the consequences of poverty. It is on [... read more]ly on the next to last day of my stay that the chamber maid finally turned the fan on... something I did not know even existed in my room. That morning, the odor was extremely strong due to the fact that I had shut my patio door to avoid hearing the bulldozer working throughout the night just in front of our bungalow no 11 (on the beach). By 7am, I was out of my room every morning due to that foul smell that I feared to be toxic to me. The fan helped considerably to clear out that foul odor. I was so pleased by this gesture that I reported the situation to the customer service desk in order to offer a particular tip for that initiative. But, as I also proposed to the customer service desk upon my departure, the chamber maid should have made sure that the room 11209 was aired and ventilated right from day 1 of this sewage situation, which was not done. In my view, this situation was altogether very badly handled by the hotel. Also, the toilet in my room 11209 was not cleaned during the first 3 days of my stay. The shower contained enough mildew traces to discourage the usage of the bath and shower. The floors were also enough covered with mildew that I did not walk bare foot in that room. Cuba being still under embargo, shortages of cleaning products, tools, paint, maintenance were very evident. This resort seems to be a 5-star complex. I believe that it is more a 3.5 star complex. The back door of my room did not lock. Even then, after a couple of days on the resort, I felt safe enough not to worry about that situation. Regarding the food and its quality, it was definitely not a 5-star type of buffet. Just the same, it was evident that all efforts were made by the staff to be polite and as helpful as they can be in the circumstances. The fact that you could see what you ate was very reassuring - example: fish that I could chose and have grilled in front of my eyes. One evening I left hotel paper and anti-mosquito products on the table while I went to serve myself at the buffet. Upon my return, everything had disappeared. This event was reported to customer service and the dining room manager. All in all, I still enjoyed my stay since I was able to be out and about 18 hours a day, spending time in my room only to sleep the 6-7 hours per night that I require.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Like home

Just got back from Memories Caribe Cayo Coco. Even though it rained and was windy almost every day we still swam and had fun. The food was good and the drinks cold. The best part of the hotel was the staff. Kind, caring and attentive. Sharing their life stories with us and bringing us fruit from their gardens. We felt like we were with our extended family. We exchanged gifts, hugs and e-mails. Definitely will be going there again. Miss it already.

J'ai voyagé avec mon conjoint, ma fille, son conjoint, leur fils de 2 ans et demi et leur fille de 5 mois. Nous avons eu une superbe semaine. Le service nous a agréablement surpris tout le personnel sympathiques, serviables. Nous avons beaucoup voyagé dans le sud mais pas souvent nous avons eu des serveurs sur la plage a la piscine, vraiment bon service. La propreté Impeccable notre femme de chambre nous faisait pleins de petites attentions. Parc pour enfants, piscine et piscine pour enfants. La plage est très belle, mais il y avait beaucoup d'algues la semaine que nous y étions. Ils ont élargie la plage donc les chaise et parasol très loin de l'eau. Le buffet n'est pas très gros mais on trouve toujours, car il y a le grille des viandes, des pâte alimentaire, des poisson et l'autre changeant des fois fruit de mer et d'autre fois hamburger, hot dog. Pizza, salade, viande froide. Bien heureuse de nos vacances rien a dire de vraiment négatif, en plus tout est proche de nos chambres, piscine, plage, salle a manger, réception, et bars Un gros merci a tout les employés de cette hotel Guylaine

We had a beautiful trip with our two kids. Beach is near the hotel. There's a small pool for young children. The meals were good. The only deception was that their was many seaweeds on the beach. The service is great.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great Time

Was at the resort from Nov 1-5 and had a great time. The staff totally make this resort. Giselle helped us with anything we needed. She was awesome!! The entertainment staff were great!! Shout out to Kenny, Eric, and Amhed who definitely contributed to an excellent time. Pool bar staff Aris and Orlando kept the drinks coming and made the pool a great time!!
