Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Lovely resort

Everything was very nice, staff were helpful and courteous. Hard to get a lounge chaise at beach and pools and annoying that people would reserve their's with towels, but remain empty most of the day.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Good resort for chilling out!

The adult only feature is what we wanted. Restaurants were good and beach access via tram was easy.staff were friendly. Everything worked out well for us. at bahia principe you caneat at any other of their resorts in the area we preferred lunch at akamal (sp).

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Amazing vacation

We were 6, 3 adults and 3 kids ranging from 17 to 4. We all had a good time. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The entertainment staff are amazing. The kids disco nightly is well organised to get all the kids involved and the shows after are also entertaining. The food was good. The rooms are clean with a nice sized balcony.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Amazing resort

Can't wait to go back. We had a very relaxing time, enjoying the beach and the pool. There was a wide variety of food available and their Italian restaurant Il capriccio, has my top vote! Cleaning staff did an excellent job and were always available to provide more towels, water, and coffee. Beach and pool bartenders were always friendly, dancing and singing along with the music. We enjoyed the dancers and their enthusiasm to teach us their dance routine.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Very fun resort

The resort has a lot to offer for any age group. Lots of entertainment at night and daily activities. The food & drinks were also great. The check in was pretty slow but other than that we had an amazing time. Not everyone speaks the greatest English but we managed fine. I would recommend this resort to anyone and would go again :)

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Nice Resort. Some things to consider

Ambar Green, very nice rooms, very clean. Beds are firm. Mini bar restocked and no issues. Beach: Very busy and tight space with chairs. Clean. Not a place to sit on the beach for quite relaxation as all chairs are within a foot or two of your unknown neighbour. Pool: Very nice clean and not many persons around. Bars: Good service and polite staff. Food: Very good A la carte. Buffet food nice selection and very good tasting. No issues with the food. Buffet Service staff: Terr [... read more]ible. No service for beverages, not fancy cocktails just a glass of water was overlooked morning,noon or night meals. Check in: Only 8 couples for check in and took over an hour. They were unsure if rooms were ready or not. This was arriving after the 3 pm check in time. Rooms still were not ready. There is construction on one side of the resort, (Ambar Blue and Green). This begins at 0800 and does not finish until 1900 hrs. There are dump trucks, bulldozers and diesel equipment running throughout the day. If not in a pool side room it is not an option to sit on your balcony without constant disruption of noise and fumes. We are not people to sit in a room but we had two days of rain so we were unable to use the balcony to read a book or enjoy a cocktail. The service issues were not major just disappointing and frustrating when you wanted a hot or cold non alcoholic beverage or just to get checked in after a long day of travel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who books with a room on the construction side or someone who likes undisturbed relaxation on the beach.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Amazing trip

First I'd like to say people that say negative things about this resort are crazy. This was our 7th time to bahia San juan first time back in 10 years and it was even nicer than I remembered so many improvements. Staff excellent Restaurants excellent We had a suite which is two rooms two bathrooms for the extra well worth it for our two week stay. We will definately be returning again. This hotel offers all you could possibly desire. The bang for your buck is a deal and you won't be disappointed. Incredible staff, beautiful grounds, delicious food, and a great time! Hope to return in the future!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Beautiful Resort!

We had an amazing time!! The grounds are very clean & well kept. Plenty of lounge chairs at the pools & beach. Variety of choices at The Buffett. Staff are very friendly. Well worth the 90 minute drive from the airport!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing Vacation

The resort is amazing. Always clean and the grounds pristine. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The abundance of staff was impressive. Our room was spotless and so comfortable. Food was fantastic. Everything we ate was delicious The selection of ala carte restaurants was very impressive. I highly recommend the Bahia Principe Ambar to anyone thinking of going to the DR. The extra it cost for the resort was well worth it!.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Good resort but not a pleasant trip

I enjoy most of my trips but did not enjoy DR. Beaches are all public so you get harrassed daily by local beach vendors, know one seems to know English so you have to learn Spanish and I am talking about bartenders etc. Cleaners always put my towel back when I would place it on the floor and never made my bed. They would fold the blankets and put it on the chairs or closet. I asked for new sheets and they just reused the same sheets that I spilled coke on. Beach was super rocky and dirty. One more thing, resort reps harrassed you to see their other resort through videos at a 60 minute presentation that I had to refuse more then once. If you are looking to relax than skip this resort or country all together. Only thing I enjoyed was food and the sun when beach vendor's left you alone.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Very Disappointed

On a good note the Staff was wonderful, food was ok. Very disappointed with the rooms, we had requested a garden view room, and upon arrival we were given 2 rooms with a view of the main road and a fence. Because we arrived only at 6pm we were too tired to complain. The next morning we complained and were given other rooms with a better view but with 2 double beds and not a King. After changing rooms, we proceeded to the desk to book our reservations at particular Restaurants for the  [... read more]week, only to be told that all restaurants (Buffet excluded) were totally booked and the only times we could get were at 9pm or 9:15 pm, which being seniors was too late. We ended up eating every nite at the Buffet. with the exception of our last nite when I made a fuss and they told me to call the Restaurant we wanted directly to see if we could get in for 7pm. Upon arriving at this particular Restaurant there was a fuss at the door, but they finally let us in, only to realize 3/4 of the place was empty and when we left the Restaurant it was still almost empty. We were not very happy. That same day, with some people we met, ,we found out that people booked their Restaurant Reservations at the same time as their trip booking, which we were never told.!!! This is NOT a 5 Star Resort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Awesome Resort!!!!

First thing, the Resort is spotless! The grounds are pristine! The rooms are spacious & clean. Buffett food is very good. Ala Carte food is even better! The beach is big & beautiful. The pools were clean & big. The staff were helpful & friendly. All in all my experience was extremely enjoyable and fun. I would not hesitate to recommend the Luxury Bahia Principe Amabar resort to anyone! Actually I already have! Great Resort!!!!!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Fabulous Vacation!

This is an awesome resort with everything you need for a great vacation. The beach is amazing! The restaurants and food are very good. The activities staff are energetic and we found all of the staff friendly and willing to help. There is always something to do. While there were little things that were inconsistent, we really have nothing bad to say about our stay at this resort. The grounds are clean and well maintained. Just watch out for the slippery walkways and floors.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Awesome resort!

Loved the resort, staff was super fun and friendly, food was amazing, only problem was making a la carte reservations we were told when we arrived on Thursday we had to wait till Saturday to make them then we were first in line Saturday and told they were full we should have made them online. Standing at the desk doing this we talked to several other people with the same issues. Besides that it was a great vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Ambar - Green

Ambar Green was wonderful. Rooms were clean and the clean, pool side view. Entertainment was so much fun. All in all the staff was great could not do enough for you. The buffet at the Green was OK we preferred the buffet at the Ambar Blue which was much better. Would go back in a minute. Karen & Kevin Clifford

We visited this hotel from Feb 2 to Feb 9, 2017. We did not know what to expect, as it was our first time in Samana. We loved it! The hotel is small, quiet, and clean. We strongly recommend it for couples who are looking for a place to relax. No need to fight for a spot on the beach or by the pool, plenty of chairs available all day. Then Jose, Jesus, Oliver, Ingrid, Eunice, and Wendy made sure our glasses were never empty. Exceptional service and always with a smile! We were also impressed by the hard working waiters at the a la carte restaurants: Ramon Garcia, Eddy, and Fautos. Pool Bar: Hansel and Yacauris both went the extra mile to make sure our drinks were prepared exactly the way we wanted. They also took initiative and welcomed us with fresh pool towels each time we came back to the pool after lunch. Theater Bar: Carlos and Adeudice made sure we finished the evening with a few generous glasses of MamaJuana. Ay! Spa: Mercedes provided great facial services at the Spa. This is a true 5-star hotel that will provide you with a relaxing and worry free vacation. But, if you want to party, walk the beach for miles, shop, and do a lot of sports and activities, this is not the place for you. We suggest you go to one of those big resorts in Punta Cana instead.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Not a five star

Beautiful grounds, rooms, pools, beach. Ocean is dark and murky, not swimmable, not as pictured in the promos. No hot water in the room most of the time, had to phone the concierge whenever we wanted to shower, usually got hot water eventually. All a la carte restaurants except two were fully booked for the whole week when we got there, so ignore the promos that say you can dine a la carte every night, it's completely untrue. Excursion t [... read more]o Soana Island is a 2 hour boat ride where photographers constantly snap photos of you, with the plan to sell them to you on the way back. A 2 hour boat ride gets you 2 hours on a beautiful beach, then back on a boat for the ride back, a waste of a day. Bus ride from the airport is 1 hour, bus ride back is closer to 2 hours as you detour to various hotels to pick up passengers.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great adults only resort!

I think this resort is great. We stayed in the adults only section. It was the closest one to the beach. I'd recommend this resort to other couples as we went with another couple and guest services were quick to accommodate and plan for us to be right across from one another.

Of all resorts we've been to this one is tops when it came to staff. Any member we dealt with were awesome and couldn't do enough to assist you. Very attentive and friendly. No complaints other than the nightly entertainment needs work (repetitive) and is too loud. Since the topic of food is very subjective - for us it was good.
