Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nice Resort

The grounds were beautifully kept, rooms were fine except some maids put more effort into their job than others!! Food was "excellent"! Beach was fabulous & kept very clean!!! However, sand flies were a problem for some, just remember your bug spray. Since my boyfriend does not drink, I like wine, found it extremely difficult to arrange to have a bottle of wine put in the hotel fridge, even house wine nothing expensive. We do not drink the beer so feel I should have requesting wine instead....., [... read more] maybe next time. We had a balcony as well. Overall, we liked this resort & would go again. First land stay that we both said we would go back.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Good resort

Let me start off with everything good about this resort. - The grounds were kept immaculate. Staff were constantly cleaning and maintaining the resort. Not a plastic cup in site. Pool was clean. Staff worked tirelessly each morning to clean the seaweed off the beach. - The staff were some of the most friendly people I have ever encountered. Lots of activities and games and every moment of the day! - You won’t go hungry. Always good available for any diet type (hamburgers, salads, fruit, fries... whatever... available 24/7!) - Good mix of ages. Would be good for any age group. Now for the negatives. - I am by no means a food guru... but the food was far from what I was hoping for. Pretty crappy if ya ask me. - The rooms were awful. We went with 3 other couples and each of us had to change rooms about 3 times due to broken doors, mould, damaged locks and overall disgusting rooms. - There weren’t many bars or places to drink... pool bar... beach bar... that’s about it.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Excellent resort

Hotel was nice. Food was ammazing. Drinks were good sometimes took a while to get one.beach and pools were amazing.staff was very nice and helpful.wifi only in lobby.loys to for children. All in all great resort but it is quite big

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Prestine resort

The grounds of the Aquamarine resort were in prestine condition from the landscaping, tiles, pool , restaurants and rooms. We had an exceptional stay with so many things to do. We will definitely be looking in to staying again next year. The weather cooperated nicely. The animation crew was fantastic, lively and friendly. All staff were courteous and helpful. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful resort!

The Bahia complex made up of 7 properties has a complete resort experience. It is like a small town connecting the various areas with walk ways and “avenues”. We stayed at the Esmeralda. Although the Ámbar is a newer upscale complex we preferred the Esmeralda. The grounds were impeccable and the majority of the services were good. The 2 buffets had food for almost everyone. The rooms were spacious comfortable and clean (no problems with water or air). We prefer firmer bass but I could understand if some would find the beds a little hard! Lol). And yes you may have to ask for some items at times but they were prompt in bringing them. We did have a mini fridge that didn’t work but we were seldom in our room. Satélite reception was not good. Once again...not often in our room. The Esmeralda had 3 pool areas which we really appreciated. The quieter pool was our go to area. Maria and Alex were a pleasure! The main pool area was situated with access to the beach, the large outdoor restaurant overlooking the beach for lunches, the Asian and Italian restaurants for a la carte, the main buffet, and the many relaxing lounges Inside and out. The beach was extensive connecting ther resorts. There was extensive seaweed but crews did their best to clear the beach into “piles” but it didn’t hinder walking or swimming. The water was very choppy during our stay but you could go a little further out for calmer water. We had a few later evening showers and one morning one. In general the layout of the Esmeralda was very convenient. If I had a negative statement to make it would be about the lack of communication in some areas. To get around the complex (other than the Esmeralda) you had to take golf carts (like taxis). You were either ignored or told that you had to go to a certain area or take another “cart”. Very seldom did you know where these other areas were or they didn’t know? The front desk would also give you miss information. I think their main job was check-in and check-out. They weren’t interested in anything else. Even to change smaller $ for tips they told us to go to Punta Cana although they had a sign on the desk shoeing exchange area!). (The first resort in the complex). This area was also confusing. Each of the 7 resorts had a name. The first and main one is called Punta Cana. (Found this out after 3 days!). The Air Canada rep was informative about most aspects of our stay. The only problem again was the carts to a la cartes. We did have the great pleasure to meet “Jean Carlo”. His English was wonderful...but his personality was fantastic!! He did his best to make our stay a great one. Our main objective for our week stay was to have a relaxing stay with comfortable rooms, good food, and great weather. We had all 3. We had a great day trip to Santa Domingo with a special tour guide...”Nacho”! We will go back but only to Esmeralda...and maybe Amber? The room, proximity to beach...and the grounds made our week!

Ocean El Faro: Beautiful Resort

Overall the resort was excellent. All the staff that we encountered spoke very good English.Check In was smooth with no problems. Lobby was simply amazing. We stayed in the 2000 block 3rd floor with a pool view. Room was very spacious, clean and modern with a King Bed. Food was very good, no reservations is nice, pick and choose where to go. Never had to wait to get into the Restaurants. They don't try and rush you out the door when you are done. Pools are very nice with no shortage of chairs a [... read more]nd umbrellas. Lazy River was fun, we brought our own floaties but never used them as they had lots. The beach is work in progress as it is a new resort. Lots of huts to lie under. It was windy with lots of waves. Kids water park was very nice. Grounds were immaculate. Only thing we didn't like is the aggressiveness of the H10 Time share agents. Way to pushy.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: #1 in our books!

This was our 4th trip to Majestic Colonial Punta Cana since 2011. We did try another resort once but decided the Majestic was the best choice for us. Lots of palapas at the beach for shade, great drinks (premium liquors), great food with lots of variety, and beautiful rooms that are well stocked and impeccably maintained. The best is the staff- always friendly and always willing to provide the best service possible. Can't wait to go back.

Excellence Punta Cana: Our Best Resort Yet

We loved our stay for 10 days at Excellence Punta Cana!!! At first sight, the lobby, pool and main buffet area were beautiful, topped only by the warmth & great service of the entire STAFF. The foods at all the many restaurants including the main buffet was great, our favourite being Chez Isobelle. The landscape & our Garden view room was exquisite and had great sleeps on our comfortable bed.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amazing resort

We’ve never had better service at a resort. The grounds and beach are stunning. There is a huge selection of food, so always something to eat. Great app for reservations and menus. Can’t wait to go back!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great resort.

The resort was great. It was very clean and well looked after. The food was varied and excellent. The only problem we had was the lounge bar did not open until 10. They had so called coffee machines for varied coffees but we were looking for irish coffee in the mornings which we were used to in cuba. We would definitely recommend this resort. It was definitely a 4.5.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Great Resort and Beach

This resort was great. Most impressed by the spacious beach and plentiful chairs. The pool area was crowded, and all lounge chairs occupied. Buffet provided choice of foods, only one a la carte which we did not try.

Sensatori Resort Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

From the minute we entered the lobby until we left this resort everything was perfect. The food was delicious with a huge variety of A la Carte. The staff is always there to help and always smiling. I can’t wait to go back next year. The adults only section pool was superb and our swim up room was perfect.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Not 4 star

Let me start by saying we are seasoned travellers 40 yrs going to the carribean, and pretty easy going. We do not expect perfection lets face it this is the carribean. Unless you pay for 5 star we dont expect it. That being said The beach and grounds are beautiful but had to rise by 6am to get a beach chair. Staff even says it should be shut down and renovated.  Most staff were pleasant front lobby staff was wonderful. The lady that took care of our room was also good. Room was always clean , but had issues with a few rude in other areas ....Sunwing shuttle bus offered to take us to an off resort store for small fee we thought this would be okay  as they were sunwing  employees  had ID and we were 2 women.  Guide and drive made inappropriate comments saying after we had left resort   oh 1 for me 1 for driver.  We were scared to say the least and glad to get back to the resort safe.  Our friend became quite ill after being in their room a few days, roof leaked above bed , air did not,  phone cord cut. finally got them moved  we are sure air was full of mold as after a few days she felt a bit better.  Our room had toilet problems  and leaking air,  puddles on the floor.  Took 4 hrs and yelling in the phone to get toilet fixed.  We paid over 4100$ for this holiday  what a waste  worst vacation ever hotel wise.   Stop sending people here  

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Amazing trip

Fantasia is a beautiful resort perfect for kids and just as amazing for parents. We loved everything, from the food, pool, water park, service and beach will love to return again with my family and friends.

Excellence El Carmen: Excellence El Carmen

This was a top notch resort. there was only complaint is we were a group of friends and we all requested the rooms with the double beds. None of these rooms were available so we all had to share king beds.

Paradisus Punta Cana: Excellent resort

The resort was nice n clean, the workers were friendly. I enjoy the different varieties of food. The beach have nice white sand my favorite was poolside it's huge also the fitness room have machine that's up to date.

Ocean El Faro: Beautiful resort

Although there are still growing g pains with this new resort we had a wonderful week. Food was good, rooms were spacious and modern, lazy river was an extra treat! Would go back to this resort is a few years to see how far it has come along.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Punta Cana 2019

This was our 6th year in a row at this resort. We arrived before 3 pm and were told our room was not ready, no issue. We checked again at 3 pm and were told the people in our room were staying 1 other day and we could move into it the next day. They gave us another room and rather then moving again we decided to stay in that room. They should have known that when we first checked in at about 1:30 pm. Housekeeping did not clean our room 2 days in a row and for some reason we asked them to le [... read more]ave 4 bottles of beer in the fridge and it took her 3 days to figure that out. Breakfast and dinner were great at the buffet, thanks to Frank our waiter. Lunch at beach restaurant was ok but they lacked waiters, slow to get water and beer. Bienvenuedo and Yohan were great bartenders at the pool and the waitresses, Noella, Raquel, and Eliana were extremely nice. Entertainment at the pool was great, especially the band on Apil 8th. Lobby bartenders were great, Edwin, Sexy Black, Martires, Francisco, Raphael, they are all very polite, pleasant and you can speak and joke with them. The waitresses were very pleasant, cannot recalled all their names. The entertainment at the lobby was fantastic, karaoke, singers, dancers. The tenors were fantastic April 7th. Beside the room and the American high school students and their chaperons who have no respect for all the others at the pool and lobby area, this resort is above average. I wish the hotel would acknowledge guests who have been there many time, you would think when they enter the name of a guest when they reserved, an icon would pop up and tell the hotel staff that this guest has been there before.

Ocean El Faro: Enjoyed our stay

My husband and I were at Ocean El Faro from March 29-April 5th and had a wonderful stay. The main lobby is breathtaking, the room was beautiful as well, bed was super comfy, I would trade with my own bed in a heart beat. We had large patio with a jacuzzi tub facing the privileged pool. I had a great view looking at the lighthouse. We did the buffet, blue moon, Japanese, Italian, steakhouse and Privileged Restaurant for breakfast. The steakhouse was definitely our favorite, ate there 3 t [... read more]imes. The flank steak was absolutely delicious! The beach was nice and small, but the water was very choppy. We hung out mostly at the privileged pool which was fine with us. Met some wonderful people there. Everywhere we went we were greeted with a smile, staff was friendly. Only thing we did not enjoy was the H10 people who was constantly trying to get you to go to those timeshare meetings. Overall it was a great experience for us, we relaxed the whole week and this resort will be beautiful once all the construction is complete.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amazing time!

First the staff were amazing and friendly and our Butler Francisco was so kind and thoughtful our entire trip! the grounds as always are so beautifully manicured and clean The food was good but could have been a little more variety beach was very clean all the time and never an issue finding chairs we enjoyed the adult pool but also did wander to the very large main pool drinks were with known name alcohol and they would make anything you asked for!
