Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Great Resort

The resort has been newly renovated. The beach is great, very calm. Rooms are good, food is amazing and the staff is very attentive. I highly recommend this hotel. Just make sure to put some insect repellent if you are going to the beach after rain, especially after 4 pm. Those low flying tiny insects are vicious.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Not impressed

The hotel itself was beautiful and it was surrounded by gorgeous landscaping and an amazing ocean and beach. The food at the buffet was not bad and had Jamaican food options which was appreciated but nothing outstanding. I stayed in a premium room and all rooms on that side had a foul odour of sewage and was constant. The smell would not go away. My tv didn’t work I called down for repair and no one ever came. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Very dissapointed

Beach, pool and common areas are very nice. Clean and well maintained. Would have preferred a bar or servers to go around more often Food ... it was bad. Too salty - even in the specialty restaurants. Also, need more aircon/fans in restaurants. So hot that we had to cut short on one of our dinners. 2 or 3 times, we were told that they don't have our selection from the menu. Not happy with the service either. Especially at bars and at some egg stations for breakfast. Room was adequate. Air con [... read more] works perfectly and everything was clean. There was a broken chair and the safe was not working but it was fixed right away. Note that there is only one outlet near the bed and we needed two for our CPAP machines. On top of that, on one night, there was no electricity for more than 1.5 hours, meaning our machines could not functioned at all. There was a party going on past 1 am, right under my room.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Awesome resort!

The resort is beautiful! The renovations to the rooms, buffet area, etc. are lovely. Beach/ocean are a 10! Food is good and lots of variety. The hour and a half drive from the airport is worth it!!

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Decent hotel-3.5 stars

The beach was really nice and the water was great for swimming. The hotel has 3 tiny pools and they are a major disappointment. The food is really good however the staff can come off as rude . The hotel staff needs customer service training asap. They are not unfriendly however they could really use some training. The bar staff also needs training and they would not make eye contact and you feel like you are bothering them when you ask for a drink.. and I hardly drink. The music along the way is all hip hop

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Fair and budget friendly

The hote offers various options for swimming and family activities. Service in the restaurants is not consistent and can be improved. Sadly for one of the nights we had to leave a specialty dining due to cockroach on table . The restaurant staff never followed through. We had to do our own customer advocacy for the experience by requesting to eat at the Brazilian The other disappointment was the poor service from the onsite WestJet rep at the resort. Coco La Palm: Great resort

Wonderful! The location is on the best part of Negril’s 7 mile beach and the food at the restaurant is very good. Best of all the staff is amazing. My wife and I have been there many times and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Marc Ottawa May 15th to the 26th 2024

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Amazing Resort

Good value for your dollars. Well kept grounds. Love the swim up bar and the size of the pool that gave the illusion of almost being in the ocean. Very friendly staff. Food was plentiful and delicious......anything you desire was there. Well stocked mini bar. Great restaurants. Suite was large and comfortable. The oversized king bed was a bonus and most comfortable. Love their environment approach of eliminating plastic water bottles. Had a system of filling large bottles (2 at a  [... read more]time) with water from filtered water machines that were located on each floor. I was impressed. They need to improve their check in process...too long.

This resort is ginormous, make sure if you're for the day on the beach, don't forget anything otherwise it'll take you 20 mins to go back to your room, that's how big this resort is ....we loved it!!!

Riu Ocho Rios: Great Resort

Traveled May 12-19 Food was amazing lots to choose from. The staff were very friendly and helpful . Excellent service. Hotel very clean , Rooms are nicely renovated quite spacious. The ground are well kept. However would have like to see a beach bar within close proximity to the beach and some umbrellas for extra shade on the beach.

What a Gem of a Resort. The entrance of the Resort is like Royalty. Food was great especially the Buffet Restaurants, so many food choices, great entertainment, the grounds very clean and well kept not a piece of garbage to be seen anywhere. Very pleasant and respectful staff. My only two suggestions is that the rooms are lovely but needs a little tender care especially the tiles in the bathroom, shower doors and the area that is designated for smoking should be moved elsewhere. Riu Palace Jamaica: Great Peaceful Resort!

We stayed at the Riu Palace, it was nice and quiet during May. We were able to access the other Riu locations which was great. The food and service were also awesome. Love how close it was to the airport. Beach is small but still enjoyable. Rooms have some wear and tear but are still clean and modern. Make sure you download the app to get full access to all the amenities including making reservations for restaurants. Would recommend it to others!!

Riu Reggae: Entertainment Staff & Bartenders are the main highlight!

The hotel is nice, smaller than I thought. It draws a very interesting crowd as it's known as a party resort. The food was decent, but there's not much variety. The gym was small but had the necessary equipment - often busy in the morning, I recommend going after 4pm. The highlight was the animation team, entertainment staff and bartenders. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. They work long hours in the hot sun all day, but they constantly have smiles on their faces  [... read more]and greet you with excitement and enthusiasm. We would look forward to seeing them every day, they all deserve raises!!! They really went out of their way to check on us and make sure we were having a great time. They are some of the most amazing people I've ever met. There's a decent amount of things to do, however there's an awkward period between dinner and the evening shows/entertainment where guests seem a bit unsure of what to do. Most typically end up at the bar or in their rooms. Overall, it's a nice play to stay if you're looking for a party resort.

Ocean Eden Bay: Could have been better

The music was terrible. I'm from Toronto and I heard more drake at the resort than I have heard in my life. I also found the woman employees were not friendly and made me feel uncomfortable. We had also requested a room closer to our friends, but instead we were really far apart. They also provided a room with 1 bed for my friend and I. When again, we specifically asked for 2 beds. Catalonia Montego Bay: Amazing resort

The hotel and grounds were clean and beautiful,the buffet was not good this time, they had a lot of stews there were spicy and not beef was served but always found something to eat. We found that there was a shortage of cups, plates, and cutlery. The staff was great and very accommodating

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Good resort, Good staff, needs upgrading

This resort has some really bright spots and some things that really need improvement. I’ll start with the bad…. The rooms….. if you’re expecting a stunning room then you are going to be disappointed. The room we stayed in was very basic and kind of reminded us of a run of the mill 3 star hotel. The TV had cracks in it, the water pressure in the shower was awful, furniture was chipped and paint was peeling off the walls. There were pieces of tile missing on the pool wall, paint was peeling on the big sandals tower and there were tons of bugs in the pool. We even noticed a cockroach dead on the pool deck. The beach….. the beach is beautiful but there is no shade at all. No umbrellas, no trees to sit under. The beach is also quite small. Now we move onto the good….. The food…. The food was pretty decent, definitely a step above some of the all inclusives we’ve been to. Our favourites were Kelly’s dockside, the jerk shack and the pizza places. The staff…. The staff for the most part were super friendly. They always made sure that we had everything we needed. They also put a lot of effort into getting people involved in playing games by the pool and having a good time. The entertainment……. The entertainment was good…. Nothing spectacular but definitely not something to complain about either. The silent party on the beach was super fun and so was the couples game show. The drinks….. the drinks were very good. Being able to get premium alcohol was a huge plus for us. The bartenders were extremely friendly and always made sure we had a cold drink. Some bartenders also got a bit creative when we felt like trying something new and we loved that. The bartenders at the pool bar and the beach bar were standouts for us. The rabbit hole….. We went here almost every night. They had really cool drinks that you can’t get anywhere else on the resort and the decor inside is a nice touch. From about 10pm to 11pm it’s a pretty nice vibe as they have a live DJ but the place empties out pretty quick once he leaves. Overall this hotel has a lot of good and a lot of bad. I think that if you go into a trip here knowing that everything isn’t going to be perfect then you’re going to have a good time.

Ocean Coral Spring: Not worth going back.

The grounds were very beautiful but the beach was the worst beach I've ever seen in Jamaica. The pool was very nice but not enough umbrellas. The water park had no shade for the children which is bad for kids being out in the hot sun and not enough water flowing down the slides so the kids didn't enjoy it as much, I was informed of all of that from friends that had children. The rooms were nice but the bar was not stocked as much as it should be. The male staff was very nice but only a handf [... read more]ul of the female staff was nice. A lot of the waitresses were not friendly and did not smile. And the hotel was under staffed. I was not impressed of the menus of the alacart restaurants and was shocked to find that I could not go into the restaurants and the beach on the Ocean Edan side. At least at Palladium I can go either on the Lady Hamilton or Palladium Jamaica side. And the air conditioning was off for 3 days. My wife and I are not going back, we would rather go back to Palladium.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Disappointing visit

The Royalton is a located in a beautiful part of Jamaica. This was our third visit and I have to say it was very disappointing. The hotel standards has definitely fallen. Having.paid for an ocean view, we were located next to the noisy hotel pool. We had to insist that we wanted another room. The service was slow, we had to make several calls to front desk to have our fridge refilled. Finally, we had to deal with a leaking AC, with water overflowing into our room. All in all not a good week.  [... read more]I didn't feel the offer of a bottle of wine as an apology was sufficient for all the inconvenience we dealt with. .

Riu Montego Bay: Amazing resort

This resort is absolutely beautiful. Very well kept. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Our ocean view room was amazing, high recommend getting that view. The food was great with lots of options for everyone. The entertainment staff was incredible with lots of energy, and great evening shows. The beach is beautiful with clams water. Drink are also very delicious with awesome bartenders. I will definitely be going back to Riu Montego Bay again.

Riu Montego Bay: Good resort!

The hotel offers spacious rooms, clean facilities, good pools & a good fitness center. We felt that some of the facilities closed too early. The pools would close by 6 pm which we felt was too early. The pool towels would run out by middle of the day and would not get replenished. Overall, a good property. The Neon party was great entertainment.
