Dreams Playa Bonita Panama: Beautiful resort

The staff really made our trip enjoyable. They were upmost respectable, kind and cirtious. From Elvis in the Coco Cafe to Elsal at the front desk and everyone in between. They were a hard working bunch. We thank you very much for making our stay at Dreams Playa Bonita a holiday to remember.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Nice resort

Grounds were well kept but the hotel itself is very outdated. Buffet left a lot to be desired. Staff were great. The biggest issue were people trying to sell us a timeshare even though we said we weren’t interested. We were left sitting in the lobby for 2 hours to get checked in

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Beautiful Pool

We loved our stay. The massive pool is sparkling clean, and the swim out room option is ideal. The beach is soft sand, clear water, and the seaweed is cleared out every day. The staff are the friendliest people and never stop trying to make you happy. The food is just okay, but there are a lot of options. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Hit and Miss- Wouldn't Recommend

We travelled to Dreams La Romana for 7 days with 3 adults and 2 children. We have travelled to Dreams Tulum, Mexico multiple times and were expecting a similar experience but sadly we were disappointed. The food was a 3 star at best. The children were happy but for the adults, it was not comparable to Dreams Tulum. This was both for the buffet and a la carte restaurants. Very disappointing Service was a definite hit and miss. Some staff members were pleasant while others were straight up r [... read more]ude and unfriendly. Rooms were also a hit and miss. We needed to change one of our two rooms because the smell of sewage was outrageous. There is definite signs of wear and tear that could use updating. Again, housekeeping was not consistent. The beach was quite busy and as with most resorts, best to wake up early to snag a chair. The sand was soft but quite a drop off once you get in the water. Many days the waves were so strong that they knocked grown adults off their feet. The resort should monitor water conditions more closely. We stayed at the pool for the most part. Overall, we would rate this hotel at a 3.5 star and would NOT recommend this to any friends or family.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: A great place to stay

Room was nice and clean, everything worked. Was happy with the hot water, was nice to be able to take a decent shower without it running cold. The cleaning ladies did a great job, stocked our mini fridge every day. All the staff were very friendly. Pool was beautiful, lots of pool floats for guests to use. Grounds were well kept, lots of palm trees and shrubs. Food was good, room service was also fantastic. No long wait times and food was good. Lots of variety to choose from at the restaurant [... read more]s. The beach also beautiful, lots of chairs and bali beds. The only downside was we only had Canadian currency, couldn't exchange at hotel, and everything was priced in American dollars. A bag of cheesies was 8.00 US...everything was so expensive. I know resorts mark up items but that was crazy. A 20 pack of cigs was 10.00 US, not any cheaper than buying in Canada. Other than that, there were vendors around a lot, trying to sell you stuff, even the resort itself tried to sell us a membership for around 1500 US....the always trying to sell things was a bit annoying, and some are pushy

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Paradise

I don't even know where to begin. The entire experience at Dreams was incredible. The grounds were beautiful and so was the room. The staff was exceptional and the food and drinks were delicious. I couldn't have asked for anything more. If you book with them you won't regret it.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Amazing resort very clean

Very nice beach very clean, staff very polite and courteous, good service food was awesome had 4 à la carte and 1 buffet style. The entertainment at night was very nice to have we enjoyed it very much.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Fabulous resort

Dreams Punta Cana is a lovely resort laid out extremely well with easy access to dining and entertainment, the magnificent pool and the massive swim up bar. The beach is only steps away from the pool and is amazing and very wavy. Staff are nice and friendly and helpful and provide many activities to have fun throughout the day and night. Dreams is located only 30 minutes from the airport and offsite activities like dune buggies and snorkelling excursions are even closer to the hotel to enjoy.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Great resort.

We were two couples who went for a 2 week stay. We had been there previously 15 years ago. The other couple had not. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.....loved the fact that you didn't have to book for the a la carte restaurants. Upon arrival, our rooms were to have been with king size beds and we were initially in rooms with 2 double beds. However, as soon as they were able to change us over, which was 2 days later we had our rooms with king size beds. The other couple had an issue with th [... read more]eir air conditioning and that too was rectified. We partificpated in various activities and noted that their entertainment in the evenings was much better than any other all inclusive we have been to. Overall it was a great vacation!

Dreams Huatulco: A definite Dream!!!

This hotel, grounds, staff, food and drinks were far superior to any resort we have been to. A definite dream destination that we would return to anytime. We travelled with our 9 year old daughter and felt very safe and she loved everything about it.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Honest Review and Important Infor

GROUNDS: Fantastic. Flowers are maintained daily. You don’t wear wristbands. Unlimited towels everywhere you look. Great layout with 3 pools. A quiet pool for reading. A pool for kids. And a bigger pool for events/by the beach/swim up bar. There is a large beach area and another beach area to the East for more privacy/room. Walking never hurt anybody (they do have golf carts zipping around if you need it tho) There are so many beautiful places to catch shade and sun throughout the day it’s not hard to find the right spot. Take a walk. The Sea is warm and calmer than the Atlantic at Punta Cana and Puerto Plata. Security is all along the beach to keep you safe and local vendors come by but do not bug you because of the security. Santiago was also great at taking photos during sunset. The ONLY thing to be aware is that the beach slopes decently to the water here and along the entire stretch of the beach even for all the other resorts. It’s just the geological make up, tides and I’m sure climate change. Don’t expect endless beach along ankle high water for as long as the eye can see. When you step into the water it’s all sand. Few scattered rocks but waist high water which is the perfect temperature too. The beach area is groomed nightly as well. FOOD: The Coco Cafe Coffee Shop is where we start our day usually with a nice americano, patio seating, and garden views. At the main buffet there are lots of food options and solid food. May not always have exactly what you are looking for each and everyday day but there are plenty of options. Preservatives are washed well no stomach issues. Plethora of fruits and desserts. There are a ton of good options. BE AWARE Like at every tropical location be weary of the meat. Just ask for well done and a little more grill time. No harm in asking and they get it too. Service from Domingo at the main Buffet is the best. He is always enthusiastic and quick to assist. The main restaurant and all the reservation ones are beside each other conveniently located. Christian and Yerkys are very kind and helpful in booking you a reservation and teaching you some Spanish. George and Jorge are fun guys and also sommeliers that give you a wide variety of expertise and wine options from around the world at standard 2.5x restaurant market Prices (can bill easily to the room too). Restaurant service is good, understand the workers are busting their ass 8am-12pm everyday so be understanding. You have the Seaside grill which is cute, Tappanyaki experience is fun as expected. Also can do the Asian restaurant or sit down for all you can eat sushi at the Sushi bar with Johni (great with the knife). Upstairs are the French and Italian restaurants and the wine cellar. French is classy with pants and shoes needed. Italian we think was the best food and has a nice outdoor seating area. ACTIVITIES/ENTERTAINMENT: We played Tennis daily on the 3rd floor roof at the preferred building across the street (take the easy tunnel that goes under the road and gets you there). There is a basketball court there too. Our buddy Jimmy always helped us book a court and provide much needed towels. The Court is solid, not perfect but it is on flat roof so not a lot of cracks and damage. Interestingly painted green. The weight/fitness room overlooks the beach and the main section of the resort. It has everything you need including a tire flip area and battle ropes. The spa is located under the gym, we never attended but it looked good. There is a kids section and nightclub in the basement as well. The entertainment team has a lot of energy and keep the volleyball, yoga, Zumba, dancing, aerobics, etc going all day regardless of the weather. At night there are dance shows, fire shows, movies etc. We were there for Valentine’s Day and the oscars and they set up really nice nightly events for both that were a lot of fun. They even keep the shows going on if there is a passing rain shower. Great commitment! They offer free scuba classes, free sailboats, wind surfing, water trampoline etc. As well EXCURSIONS: 1) national park to the East- we walked along the main road to the east and visited the national park. It’s a 20min walk with a small sidewalk from the resort. then you take a dirt road to the tourist area. It’s $5 USD to get in. Then you follow a long path that either takes you through the wilderness to a cool cave or you turn right in the fielded area fork and go to a private little beach. Wear nice shoes as the walk is tough and going to both locations there + the walk to and from the hotel took us about 3hrs and 13km. Be aware. 2) Saona Island Tour- we booked with air transat as they gave us a 15$ discount. It was $105 USD for both of us. It’s what you expect In a tour, take a bunch of tourists on a catamaran/speed boat to the saona island (1.5hr trip). Open bar is unlimited hard alcohol and chase. Music is good. Island is really cool and beautiful. You spend a few hours there. Meal included. Then go to a shallow area for a bath and see some starfish before coming back to the hotel. Bring towels and sunscreen. BE AWARE that the tour guides will ask to take photos and bargain for you to buy the photos via a memory stick/direct upload. Don’t pay more than 50$ for them, they will tell you stories and try to weasel as much money from you. Stay firm with a price and move on. Photos are nice, not great, but good memory to have. Just don’t get scammed for them.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort

For the most part, we absolutely loved this resort. The grounds are amazing. The staff are amazing. The food and drinks were plentiful. The pool is HUGE and although there was a lot of people at the resort, the pool or beach did not seem crowded. The only 2 complaints I have is the amount of vendors that were set up throughout the resort. We were there 6 days and the vendors were set up strategically throughout the resort 4 of those days. Also, Dreams...an all inclusive luxury resort. Ho [... read more]wever, if you want premium liquor or you want "imported" beer like Bud or Coors, you have to pay extra for that "luxury". Other non luxury resorts in Punta Cana provide guests with premium liquors and imported beer at no extra cost.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Amazing resort!

This resort had all the immentities needed for a week's vacation as well as plenty of activities for people of all ages, resort was very clean and well maintained, staff was very friendly , would visit again anytime

JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Wonderful resort

Great place , food and service were great !!! Staff is friendly, we were very happy with our stay. Not a lot to do in the evenings but that wasn’t a big deal for us, we were up early every morning and tuckered by 9 at night. My only negatives about the resort are the location is really far for most excursions, so to avoid long bus rides we did an atv and boat excursion, both were great !!! Also the lighting near stairways, elevators and pathways to beach restaurant are dim or non existent

JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Peaceful and beautiful

Resort was incredible, grounds are gorgeous, lush and very well kept. Beach is quiet and sunsets are gorgeous. Staff all very nice. Rooms well appointed. We stayed in building 8A which had a Beira of the ocean but very private. A bit of a walk to the main lobby and most restaurants but very close to pools and beach and oceana restaurant. Food was absolutely outstanding. All the seafood is fresh, presentation incredible. Cant say enough about the food. In fact best food we have ever had at an all [... read more] inclusive specifically Oceana, the Sushi at the Japenese restaurant, Mexican restaurant and the pool grill was also amazing. Would def recommend to anyone. Preferred club allows you access to a lounge where they have a small buffet and also top shelf liquors. Well worth it for us! Only downside is the 2 hour drive from airport but we knew that going in. Take a trip to the rainforest- def a highlight of our trip.

Fantastic all-inclusive resort, if you don’t mind things a little quieter and lots of privacy. We stayed in preferred near the beach with an ocean view, well worth the upgrade. The food and restaurants are very good, the seafood is outstanding! No signing up for restaurants, pagers are given if you have to wait a bit, no more than 20 minutes for 2 ppl. Service was good and gets better when you take the time to get to know the staff. Be prepared to travel a bit (1-2hrs) for off resort excursio [... read more]ns but the sloth jungle trail we did was a highlight. Gorgeous grounds and new clean and spacious rooms. Lots of pools and activities. Beach is clean brown sand and water clear. It is the only resort in the bay. I would recommend this resort to anyone, and we’re not all-inclusive lovers. Who doesn’t like seeing monkeys on the beach:). Great selection at the hotel souvenir shop however I must complain that the prices were the worst price gouging I have seen, worse that the airport even.

Dreams Huatulco: Fantastic Vacation!

Very nice resort. Rooms are clean and well kept. Food is very good. Some of the best we have had in Mexico. Nice beach and pool area. Friendly staff. Only negative is people getting up at 6am to save beach chairs.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Dream dominick's... would recommend with one reservation

The hotel was very nice, rooms were nice and the cleaning was always good. The service in the restaurants was sometimes slow but always friendly. The beach was fabulous and because of the way the resort handles the beach and pool chairs, there isn't that need to get up at 7 AM to reserve a chair. the only thing that was a real negative for me was the smoking. There were ash trays everywhere and people could smoke anywhere ( except in the room)- but there was an ash tray on the balcony. In [... read more] the bars the smoke would drift towards you and we actually moved several times. If smoking is to be allowed, it should be only in designated areas. Apart from the smoking this is a great resort

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Sweet Dreams

Had a great 11 days at Dreams Dominicus. Beautiful beach, clean pools, nice grounds. Perfect size resort. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff pleasant and accommodating. Love tbe ladies at the lobby bar ! Only negatives were that this is smoking resort ! And evening restaurant service is very slow.

We have been to many all inclusive resorts and were not disappointed with our decision to go here. We upgraded to preferred which made the difference in our experience. Resort is clean lovely beach area. And the staff are great. They go out of their way to make you happy. We will be back.
