Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Paradise

My daughter and I spent the first week of May at this resort. We stayed in the Granma building which was very close to everything so no unnecessary long walks anywhere which we prefer. The room was clean and such comfortable beds. Air conditioning worked very well. Looked forward to the wonderful creations that the maid did everyday with our towels and blankets. The resort itself is beautiful and on the smaller side so everything is nice and close. It was not overly crowded, plenty of chairs an [... read more]d places to sit to hang out both in the lobby and around the pool. Staff is amazing, fun and friendly. Lots of entertainment throughout the day and every evening, always plenty of seating. The Buffett has plenty of fresh food everyday but be warned there is not much variety so you will need to be creative if this isn’t to your liking. There is a snack bar behind the pool that serves French fries and sandwiches throughout the day. The flies were really bad at the Buffett, the staff did what they could to control them. The beach was amazing, beautiful! Tons of shade to hangout all day. Tropical fish will swim around you while you swim. You can walk quite the distance in either direction. Tips should be given in paper money, not coin. Coin is useless for them. But even better take some extra bars of soap or toothpaste to give out instead. They lack basic essentials. If you google it there is a good list of things they need. Also don’t forget the gardeners. We love this resort and will be returning often.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Amazing Resort!

Magnificent, beautiful buildings, lobby, interior and exterior, friendly people, nice service, 24 hrs WiFi. Beach is the best, fine sand, friendly bar staff, very friendly staff at restaurant. Entertainment professional, young girls and boys are dancing great.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Iberostar Costa Dorada - Apr 29 - May 14th

We had an amazing 15 days at this resort. First time at this hotel. The food was excellent from buffet, snack bar, beach BBQ and Ala Cartes. Great selection. Pi zza and steaks were amazing. Their seafood paella made on the beach was so yummy. The animation team was excellent keeping guests entertained with the games that were scheduled in the morning and late afternoon. The entertainment team in the evening put on amazing shows. Everyday was something different ND at times games with gu [... read more]ests. They also had dancing and the entertainment team mingled wirh the guests. It was alot if fun. I will definitely go back.

Iberostar Coral Holguin: Fantastic vacation

Our visit at the Iberostar Coral was fabulous. The staff are amazing cater to your every need when possible. Rooms are spacious clean and always towels changed twice a day as needed. Pools are amazing. It is however a very quiet area for sure which we loved. Food well no one goes to Cuba for the food however we certainly didn’t go without always lots to eat and a great selection. Iberostar Selection Holguin: Amazing resort and friendly staff ? ?

Very nice and clean room only problem the shower area no door water leak outside the stand shower. but all the resort was very nice .the staff so friendly and helpful the beach amazing the pool so clean I want to go again with my family.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Nice Resort

We stayed at the resort last week. The resort was very nice Our room was amazing. The service was fantastic and the food was very good. I did not enjoy that there was not a dinner buffet. Restaurants were full every night. Very difficult to get in unless you ate very early. I did not appreciate the constant upsell at the resort. I will not return due to the amount of drugs being sold on the beach. The locals are literally standing around while you are tanning or in the water. They offer weed,  [... read more]gummies and cocaine. This was the biggest turnoff. The security did nothing to deter it. They were very rude to the young girls on the beach. There were many couples that felt the same way and will not return.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Decent Resort

The resort was nicely layed out. The room we had was a non-updated room. Could certainly use updating. Slight musty smell but was told by travel representative that’s standard with the high humidity. Food was really good. Pool was large with lots of loungers as long as you got there early. Beach was disappointing. Seaweed and garbage floating close to shore. Always murky since the waves further out churned up the sand and that drifted in. If you don’t care about swimming in the ocean, this resor [... read more]t would be fine for you. There is ongoing construction on the one side of the resort during the week with lots of noise. Service was good. Kudos to the maintenance man as we had a few issues with the room - mini fridge not working, broken shower wand, leak I ceiling of bathroom and power to our room being blown. Those issues were quickly fixed. NOTE: controls for lights, fan and air conditioner are on the headboards behind the pillows.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Resort review

The grounds of this resort are beautiful, pool was great and all of the public areas were lovely. Our room certainly needs updating, the air conditioner was far too cold the first few days and couldn't be adjusted, maintenance came in and turned it off but then for the rest of out stay we didn't have any air conditioning and it became very hot in the room. The shower leaked and ran out into the room so we had to clean that up every day. There were holes in our sheets. The beds covered up the 2 [... read more]20v outlets so we didn't find those until after I blew my hair dryer.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Great Resort

Clean and comfortable. Food was OK. Staff were excellent. Beautiful beach and lots of loungers. Loved the pool. Music was not too loud. I'm old LOL. Everything was in close proximity and would definitely go back

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Not so much resort

1st 3 days..it was very very cold in our room. Even Shut off the A/C. Still very cold. Maintenance came. Next 3 days we had no A/C. Temperature 34 Celsius. Holes in bedsheets. Whenever the shower was used, water leaked into the bedroom area. Grounds were lovely

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Awesome 7 day stay!!

Extremely well laid out resort, tastefully colored and decorated and clean as a whistle EVERYWHWERE. A very friendly and appreciative staff. Accommodations were very comfortable. Entertainment was professional and quite impressive. The bars could use a menu to identify what is available. Having more options for drink mixes like ginger ale, coconut water and fresh lemons and limes would be a favorable improvement as well. Two thumbs up for no harassment by vendors anywhere. Iberostar Coral Holguin: Very nice resort

Small resort with beautiful rooms. Fantastic pool. Everything is very close except for the beach. Perfect size for us as we could be sociable but still have private time when wanted. Closest beach is very shallow which would be great for people from the selection side that have young children, but not great for adults from the Coral side. Main beach is nice but further away than I’m used to. Neither beach nor pool ever seemed crowded and never a rush to go early to reserve a spot. Fantast [... read more]ic staff. Our Butlers Laritza and Junior were fantastic, handling meal reservations and always checking to see if we OK or if there was anything they could do for us. Carlos the entertainment coordinator was very active and trying to involve guests in activities. He has a beautiful voice and often played his guitar and sang songs requested by guests. All staff very friendly and helpful. Servers in buffet and restaurants always smiling and service great.Beach towels in room and they were exchanged every evening, along with other towels in bathroom. Also, for the first time in over 20 years of visiting the Caribbean, face cloths were provided and exchanged with towels morning and evening. Hasn’t been a big deal as we learned early to take our own, but since they have never been provided before, I felt this was worth mentioning. Note: while not part of my review, I would like to encourage guests to not use Canadian loonies and toonies for tipping. These can’t be used by workers as Cuban banks will not take them. The down side of this is that workers are stuck with this useless money, unless guests will exchange then for Canadian bills.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Exceeded expectations

We visited this resort May 1-8 and had an amazing time. We previously stayed here 12 years ago and loved it then, but with all the shortages and stories of bad food and poor drink selection, we went with low expectations. We were plesantly surprised by how good the food was and there were plenty of choices at all the bars. Our room was adequate, clean with plenty of hot water to shower and nice cool air conditioning. We have travelled all over Cuba and Mexico and this resort remains one of our favorites!

Iberostar Coral Holguin: exceptionally comfortable

The Iberostar Holguin Coral was everything you need for a relaxing, comfortable stay in Cuba. Comfortable, spacious rooms, excellent room staff, beautiful pool right at your door, thoughtful administration staff. Wait staff and bartenders were courteous and quick (with most times a smile, in spite of how busy they all were). The beach was just a short walk, or an even shorter cart ride away, and was clean and beautiful. (both the large and smaller beaches were beautifully maintained). JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Changed

Iberostar continues to keep the hotel up to date and overall clean. The noise at night is too much. Outside entertainment starts at 9:30 beside the pool. Food is good still. Staff is excellent still. Used to have butler service for everyone. Too many beach sellers at waters edge. Selection of red and white wines could be a notch or two better. Scotch selection used to be better. Would we go back ???

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Great Resort!

Will absolutely return to this hotel. The rooms and entire grounds were clean and well kept. The food was fantastic! We tried the buffet, had an opportunity to go to all of the restaurants and also tried the outdoor bbq and beach side burgers and patties - and it was all fantastic. But what made this an even better experience was the staff who all went above and beyond to make sure we were having a gret time. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Good Resort

I went for 7 days to the Iberostar Costa Dorada. I had a good time, but the weather rained for the whole week, which put a damper on the vacation. The staff was polite, respectful, helpful, and not pushy. The food was good, with a lot of selection. The pool was big, and entertainment during the day was great. Nighttime entertainment was not anything special. Some issues were the lines at the bar. You would have to wait ten minutes for one drink, and they would only have one bartender. As well as [... read more], seating was limited for the amount of people that were there. The rooms were outdated and musty when I was there, possibly due to the humidity. However, the rooms were very clean. The beach is not great, and the grounds could have been better kept. The pool wasn't very clean but was dirty, too. Overall, for the price we paid, it was an excellent resort, but it wasn't anything special.

The accommodations were great and the service was fine. There is however a list of "not so good" 1. The specialty restaurants were not impressive. The service was fine but the food was basically the same as the buffet. 2. The food in the buffet was largely unidentifiable. Labels would have helped a great deal, and anyone with allergies was certainly at risk. 3. Breakfast was great, eggs, toast and coffee. 4. The rooms were large and well laid out but there was a lack of towels which were not [... read more] changed very often if at all. 5.Name tags would have been nice and would have allowed a more personal interaction. 6. Most of the staff had little knowledge of English so it was difficult to get directions or information. 7. We never knew were meals were available and the entertainment was limited but what there was good. The dancers were very good.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Friendly and welcoming

The Daiquiri is full of character, from the decorations, the colorfully buildings and the landscaping and all the staff are so friendly and very helpful. You can tell they take pride on what they do, from the women who clean your rooms, the gardeners, the cleaning people, the servers, the entertainers and your friendly bartenders and also the front desk staff. We have been to Cuba 7 times and this was our best food ever. We will probably be back. Great beach and always room around the pool.

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: BEAUTIFUL RESORT

The hotel is gorgeous, the staff are great! You will never find such beautiful beaches/ocean. Please feed the cats & abd 3 dogs that roam the resort more in the evening. Please be kind to the hard working staff that do the best they can with what they have.
