Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Relaxing retreat!

Resort and Staff were wonderful, only thing I could criticize was that they did not seem used to a large group. All our reservations were made the last thing we want to do is wait in line to fill out papers

Memories Jibacoa: great resort and lovely people

We all 7 of us ladies had a great time there at the Memories Jibacoa resort. Just got home today. It was our first time there and we all can honestly say we had a good time meeting the staff who make our stay relaxing and pleasant.

Hotel Los Cactus: Breezes was a fantastic resort

The gardens were very well kept, hotel was clean, food was decent, staff - most amazing and beyond excellent. Facilities were great in the hotel. Most of all it was the staff from reception, to room service, to DJs, to group event coordinator, bar staff, buffet servers, gardener - just totally wonderful people - made it the best holiday ever

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Family resort

This would be a great resort for famlies with young children, to remote for adults wanting to explore the island. We were told unsafe to leave resort and taxi's from the resort charged way to much even more than Vancouver.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Amazing Vacation

I would recommend this hotel. It was good. The staff was friendly and the food was good. There was some confusion when we arrived regarding rooms but I think that might have been more our travel agent than the hotel.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Amazing Resort!!!! LOVED IT!!!!

Great food, incredible beach, beds are really comfortable. Rooms are clean. Staff is always happy and smiling. Loved everything about this place!!!! We stayed in the new part of the hotel it was great!

Memories Jibacoa: Fifth time and still good

Repeat customer, five times and counting. New management still finding it's feet but if they just relax and let the Cuban staff do what they do it will still be excellent. Location perfect. Don't change!

Hotel Los Cactus: All needs met very good and well run resort

Great size resort with several places to drink, eat and be entertained on a nightly basis. $ 5 pesos for a lift to downtown Varadero and great shopping areas and clubs like " BEATLES " with incredible live bands in the evening, covering rock classics from the last 40 years.

Breezes Bahamas: run down!!!

The rooms were pretty standard. I had a garden view room on the ground floor and although it was easy access to the pool area, the room itself could have been nicer. The sliding glass door was always getting stuck and the sound of the pool pump was very loud through the night. The staff was excellent and very friendly. Bar locations were convenient during the day, but when some closed around 6pm, the only one open was upstairs so if you wanted to sit outside and enjoy the sunset, it was a bit of [... read more] a hike to get drinks. Food was good and lots of variety. Overall had a good time but the hotel did have an odor resembling a moldy smell in the rooms as well as the piano bar. Would probably not go back to this resort!!

Memories Jibacoa: Beautiful People & Location

The people and the location stood out above all. All of the staff really made you feel welcome and went well above and beyond to accommodate. The farms and mountain behind as well as the ocean and reef in front made for ample opportunities to enjoy nature. Closeness to Havana allowed for a city adventure. We would definitely go back!

The best,, loving people,Awesome beach,,, good food,,, ,,,This is the first time in this Resort,,A bit outdated building,,but overall we had a good time. Will go back again for sure. We had a wonderful time,,,

Breezes Bahamas: Lovely Hotel

The rooms were very nice but have no fridge and no water in the rooms. The food was good and we only ate at the buffet. The beach is very nice with quite a bit of sea grass. We loved the entertainment, Funky D!

Memories Jibacoa: great resort

We had a great time at Memories Jibacoa. The shows were very good and entertaining and they animation team had lots of games and things available to do during the day. All the staff were great and very accomodating. The food was good but too repetitive. There were no lettuce or tomatoes but they said they were out of season. The a LA cares were amazing. Lots of shade with the new canopies and new chairs. Would recommend this resort very highly to those seeking an adult vacation. Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Excellent and Amazing Resort

The hotel is very comfortable and classy. Food is incredible.We had a minor issue with our room and Stacy at Reception and the GM Mr Scott Robbins resolved it to our entire satisfaction. Every member of the staff smiles and is cheerful at this resort. I am very critical generally but had a hard time finding a fault with this resort. My wife and I had a wonderful time at this resort !! On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give 11 !!!!

Very nice place , Friendly and caring staffs, Kids enjoyed superb water park. Great food. Jewel bay located in the middle and easy access to Airport and you can do some shopping too. Perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Beautiful resort grounds

The grounds for this resort were beautiful with multiple pools and the ocean a stones throw away. The food for the most part was good with Japanese, seafood, Italian and rib/steak house restaurants to choose from, as well as a cafe . We found the cafe food not as good as the other eateries. The rooms were not as well appointed. We were moved on the third day because our room was musty and damp - even the bedding. The first room was not nicely appointed (e.g., had scrape marks on the floor where  [... read more]the door gauged the tiled flooring). There was a dirty glass in the bathroom. The coffee machine had no coffee with it and only one cup. The second room was in a different building and seemed better. At least there was no musty odor. We found the rooms still basic. It took us three days to get a wash cloth which we held onto for the rest of the visit as the replacement of these towels seemed haphazard. For example one day we would have 5 bath towels and no hand towels or bath mats. Small details but showed a lack of attention to details. The people we dealt with on the resort seemed quite nice. There was nightly entertainment. Having said all this, we enjoyed our visit overall. The weather was great and we enjoyed the uniqueness of this country.

Memories Jibacoa: Great Memories at this resort!

Our stay at Memories Jibacoa was great. This was our first trip there and we do have great memories! The food was good and varied and always fresh – the only complaints – no mangos but the season was near the end (even though, we often go to Cuba in September and have always had mangos at the buffets – Cuban mangos are the best!). Also, the coffee at the buffet was very weak and watered down – surprising as Cuba is known for good coffee. The location of our rooms was a bit isolated with not the greatest view but the best locations near the pool seem to be given to repeat guests. We had reserved two months before but were told the resort was full and we had no choice. The snorkeling off the beach there is great. The reef is amazing and the main reason we went to Jibacoa. We were not disappointed. We snorkel a lot and this is definitely one of the best reefs we’ve seen. The beach itself is very rocky though, especially entering or exiting the water. Bring water shoes – not the best beach if you do not snorkel. The beach grill food was limited – hamburgers, hot dogs, sometimes chicken, french fries and terrible salads (no lettuce – shredded cabbage and no salad dressing). The entertainment at the piano-bar was really fun most nights. We really enjoyed George the piano player. The other one was not so entertaining – he seemed to want to impress with some obscure classical music rather than play music that was popular with the guests. It is a sing- along bar with music – books and it was impossible to follow his music. The shows at night were good but they need air-conditioning in the indoor party room. It was unbearably hot in there. All in all though, this is a great resort and we will probably go back! (and now that we are repeat guests, maybe we’ll get a better room!)

Memories Jibacoa: Great holiday

Very good value at this resort. Lots to do especially if you enjoy snorkeling. Good location for a visit to Havana. Rooms clean, friendly staff are the main strength, food good for Cuba, very safe outside of Hotel. Would return again.
