Memories Trinidad Del Mar: very good location
I like everything the rooms was good and clean the beach nice the water is calm and the send is white . the only problem the water pressure on the shower was very bad some days was impossible to take a shower no pressure to bad I will give this hotel 5 stars.
Brisas Santa Lucia: Pleasant Resort
Grounds were neat and the resort well maintained. There was a very nice pool. Lounge chairs were mostly always available at the pool and the beach. Staff was please and rooms were always clean. Would suggest filling the fridges on a daily basis and add variety to the selections in the buffet.
Brisas Santa Lucia: Good bar service
Nice hotel for the average traveller. Food was ok. Bar was 24h. Beach was a bit seaweed due to wind and reef. Reception was helpful when needed. Grounds were nice to walk threw. Overall the entertainment was fun.
Brisas Guardalavaca: Changing
This was a great resort. The food was always the best in Cuba. It is under new management and they seem interested in saving money. They have redone some decor upholstery but cut the staff and the food is not as good.
Brisas Guardalavaca: changes not so good
I have been to this resort 7 times and this will be the last, the food quality has gone down hill unless you have an alacarte booked!,the rooms never change and some of the attitude of the newer staff is left to be desired, change in management is maybe the issue! Tips I now find are expected!! I guess all things have to change the beach is beautiful and pools are lovely nice new hot tub to bad some parents don't mind there children and then ruin things for other guests, bubble bath is not appre [... read more]
Brisas Guardalavaca: Awesome Resort
This is my 4th time to Brisas I love it there it is like home, staff very welcoming, food fantastic, they employee university students which are fluent in several languages. The entertainment is superb. I used to go to Mexico but enjoy this better, safer lovely walk to the market for crafts etc. Horse back riding. This hotel is a little older but is managed very well and they cater to their guests.
Brisas Santa Lucia: mature single women beware
the hotel is clean...the rooms sufficient...the food not bad....but be warned that Cuban hospitality is selective to the big tippers and vacationers who speak anything but english....save your money or give it to off resort Cubans who really appreciate the help and need it....attitudes toward mature single woman are prejudiced and you are treated
Brisas Guardalavaca: Great! Exceeded expectations, will return
We were there for 10 days from Feb 11th. My boyfriend did not want to go this resort because it was rated at only 3 and half stars. I talked him into it and was nervous. However, I can honestly say that we LOVED this place. I don't understand the people who say it is rubbish. I have no idea what they are talking about. We stayed in a Villa room, and had the quiet of that side and the fun of the other side when we wanted. I loved that you can walk everywhere in a few minutes (our room was two min [... read more]
Brisas Santa Lucia: Great time all around
We had a great time. Food was good, beach was good, staff was good. Weather could have been better but that is uncontrollable. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Grounds were well maintained also. Overall, had a great time.
Brisas Santa Lucia: Good Holiday
Second time at this resort. Beach is beautiful and pool is great. Food is very good for Cuba. Staff is excellent. The evening entertainment has a lot to be desired...corny and juvenille, and very repetitive. Communication about events on resort, and excursions is VERY poor. Other than that, had a great time.
Brisas Sierra Mar: Brisas Sierra Mar
At the Santiago airport we were met with a mass of travelers trying to get to the immigration wicket. There were no lines just people milling around trying to get ahead of the others. After making it to the immigration wicket we exited through a door that lead to the security search area. Two stations were open and again no lineups just a mass of people trying to inch their way forward. Eventually we made it past security where each bag was scanned by an x-ray machine. I had to obtain a customs [... read more]
Brisas Guardalavaca: Wonderful staff
a very well run resort. The grounds are well kept, and the staff great. The only area of disappointment was the Italian restaurant, the staff were good but the food was not. The buffet restaurant was the best bet, and the breakfasts were good.
Brisas Santa Lucia: Good value for your money
I would say that this hotel was a two star the beach was not fantastic but you can rent scooters or horse and buggy for 10 cuc's and go down to cocoa beach which is 15 minutes away and they have a fantastic beach the food was mediocre but you would never be hungry. The staff was very friendly and helpful The drinks were pretty decent they had anything you basically wanted beer was limited to Crystal or the other brand I can't remember it was with the brown label but it was the Cuban brand. Basic [... read more]
Memories Trinidad Del Mar: A little Trinidad on the beach
The reviews made us worried about our choice to go to this hotel but we felt it was a fabulous place. It needs some fixes, the room towels are thin and the food was repetitive but the staff and overall feel of the resort was just wonderful. Lots of shaded areas on the beach. The beach is really long for walking along. There are 5 bars serving a variety of drinks. Weekly they had a pig roast on the beach to eat at the picnic tables near the beach bar. The architecture is quite similar to Trinidad [... read more]
Brisas Sierra Mar: Smokers retreat
This resort is in a lovely location wonderful staff however the fact that the management refrain from inforcing smoking laws that are meant to protect their staff and non smoking guests is disturbing to say the least perhaps a smoking area to accommodate people who wish to kill themselves would be in order. Fellow Canadiens and European guest are well aware of the hassards of secondhand smoke.Your own leader was against smoking. Because of managements inability to protect its guest in the lobby [... read more]
Brisas Sierra Mar: Excellent resort
Liked the rural position of this site, food was good, service was good. It is very relaxing as thers are few cars and only the hotel motorised boat. The swamp beside the hotel grounds however makes you a pray for bugs to bite... All in all it was an excellent vacation.
Brisas Sierra Mar: rustic peaceful friendly
I always like going here because it is relaxing scenic with the mountains very safe place to go people are friendly food is good they grow much of there food in there gardens on resort its not party central they have nightly entertainment not all night long beach to walk on weather is always nice
Brisas Sierra Mar: people are great, Anthony, walking guide, awsome!
immaculately clean, friendly, typical Cuban food, but the a la carte restaurants were good. views spectacular, and long beach walks were awesome. loved the beach restaurant for lunch, with great live music!
Brisas Santa Lucia: Best time in cuba ever.
I have been to three resorts in cuba this was by far the best, food was excellant resort was sparkling clean staff were wonderful and on several occasions went well beyond expectation,we have now planned to go back to this resort yearly.
Brisas Santa Lucia: Great time
We were 4 grandmothers who went last minute for a great deal. We were originally put in block 26 which is really far back but we got moved to block 8 the next day. It was much closer to everything but if you don't want to hear the show not for you. The rooms were basic but clean, the grounds were kept spotless. I found the food to be very good in the Buffett, something to suit everyone's tastes. We went to the seafood and Cuban restaurants and enjoyed them both, also went to the BBQ night also e [... read more]
