I enjoyed my stay

I enjoyed my stay, from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. I would recommend that the food was good, much better then any other resort in Cuba. But they should give it more of a variety at the buffets.

Royal Service - newer buildings are great

The hotel and grounds are very nice. Beach is beautiful and pools in the Royal Service area are clean and relaxing.... that's because it's not crowded. If you want more party times, stay in the non-Royal Service section. Food is actually good, but I'm not picky. You go to Cuba for the beach, not the food. The hotel staff are all wonderful and friendly. Yes, you should tip them. They are very appreciative and work long hours. We really enjoyed ourselves here!

Like all resort reviews, beauty is in the eye of the beholder but here is our synopsis: - Great staff - very willing to service from front desk to lobby bar to restaurants. Never had to wait more than a few minutes for any assistance - Food in general was very good. "Hits and Misses" like any other place in the world, but overall we never went hungry - Rooms were nice a spacious, nice rain shower. The beds were hard (typical Cuba) which is too bad because we had sore backs every day. This [... read more] will likely deter us form coming to Cuba again because after 4 trips to 4 and 5 star resorts it was disappointing to see the quality of the beds were all just as bad - very hard which I suppose is okay for some folks. But really we are talking about the equivalent to a Box spring being used as a mattress. - Beach was fantastic! - Gym was okay BUT desperately needed air conditioning or at very least, some fans to cool off patrons. - Pools nice but too small and much too shallow - Entertainment was excellent! - hardly any moquitoes to speak of, they spray the resort regularly to keep them at bay. But they are worse in my backyard in the summer so overall pretty good. - Spa service were AMAZING - very talented staff!

Loved this resort

We have been to Cuba several times and I have to say this was the best Cuba vacation yet. The hotel, the food, and of course the beach were all great. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends.

OK Resort

We wouldn't rate this as a Five Star...it's more like a 3 or 4. The buffet was not very good, the Raquet Snack Bar was really good, the a la carte restaurants we very good. The service staff are fantastic very friendly and helpful.

Amazing resort!

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived that we were upgraded to Royal Service! Our room, the presidential suite, was very spacious, exceptionally clean and at a great location close to RS lobby, bar & buffet, and pool! The beach was awesome!! Overall we had a wonderful stay at the Paradisus Princesa Del Mar!

Beautiful Resort

The hotel was extremely clean. Rooms were big and spacious. The beach was long and beautiful to walk on. It seemed they may have been a little understaffed because there season was coming to an end but not sure on that. We were there from April 29-May 6th/2017. The food was good. The first few days we were skeptical about the buffet but it turned out fine. When it came to restocking the fridge they only did it once for the seven days we were there. Not a big deal but annoying when they  [... read more]say the fridge is stocked everyday. We did call three times but didn't make a difference. We always had plenty of towels except for one day when they only supplied us with one The sand fleas were out in droves so make sure you bring lots of repellent. My husband had a bad reaction to them which required a needle at the medics. That all being said we would definitely go back to this resort.

Enjoyed our stay!

Great beach. Nice pool. Plenty of lounge chairs on beach and pool. Staff was friendly and nice. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The food was fine - not fantastic but good for Cuba. The Japanese restaurant was excellent. Bring bug spray if you go in May - the mosquitoes were plentiful.

Fantastic vacation!

The resort was absolutely gorgeous. Grounds were beautifully maintained by very hard working gardeners. Staff was courteous and helpful, especially Lily at the Royal beach bar and Annaraes at the Royal pool bar! Rooms in the royal section were modern and very clean. Bar fridge was stocked daily. Food at the a la carte restaurants was hit and miss but the buffet had lots of options. Japanese restaurant was a blast! New beach towels were available everyday (not my past experience in Cuba).  [... read more] Wi-Fi was not available in rooms as advertised and was spotty at best in the lobby. Unlimited food, unlimited alcohol, perfect weather, awesome excursions, unbelievable beach... simply can't complain. Will absolutely return here.

Beautiful resort

We stayed in the royal service area and it is well worth the upgrade. The rooms were modern and clean. The beds were firm and comfortable. The pillow menu, though it seemed silly, was the best. I slept like a baby. Our room was cleaned twice a day every day. I'm still not sure what the Butler was supposed to do as we never saw her. We chose royal service for the location, the pool and the beach. The resort needs more umbrellas at this pool. It was hard to find shade most days. It was sas to see [... read more] so many swim up beds unused and we couldnt access shase. Our bartenders were amazing. Not only friendly but they got to know us personally. Lili Nacho at the beach bar was great. Annarayas at the pool bar was definitely our favourite. We avoided the royal buffet and a la carte as we found the choices limited and the staff less than friendly. Most a La carte restaurants served the same foods cooked differently. The grand Terraza buffet had the best selections. The Cuban restaurant and Japanese restaurant were our favourites. We enjoyed the entertainment most nights. There were some amazing waiters that were very fast and attentive and some who forgot drinks. I wish I made note of their names to recognize them. All in all we had a wonderful vacation and I was pleased to see the resort smoked it's mosquitos. The reviews we read about bug bites was scarey. We had a bug free stay.

Very nice resort

The Paradisus Princesas Del Mar was a very nice and clean resort, the rooms were well kept and in very good condition. There is a great number of restaurant on the resorts which offer a good variety of food which was good overall. The evening entertainment was great but during the day it la is a little and was pretty quiet. The resort is adult only and very quiet until approximately 9-10 am. Overall a great place but We would have to say that the service was very poor and not uncommon to sit the [... read more]re and wait for about 20 Minutes just to be acknowledged prior anyone coming over to take your order. If something could be improved that is definitely it the service for sure. If you are someone that puts a lot of emphasis on having internet access well there is no free wifi and the internet service is very poor. Overall we had a great vacation, the weather was not the greatest for the beach with high winds so it was more of a pool week.

Great resort

The resort was great. As an adults only resort it seemed to cater mainly to the older crowd, music activities etc. Pretty quiet if you are just looking for somewhere to go and really relax then this is the place for you.

Good vacation

The hotel grounds are very attractive with a nice beach area. Our room was clean with a balcony overlooking palm trees and was a good size. The bathroom was in need of some maintenance the shower head was insecure and there was a broken stopper in the sink. The buffet restaurant didn't have a lot of variety and occasionally ran out of some items.Staff was friendly and tried to be helpful . Nice Resort

The hotel was fine although some areas of the resort looked a little run down , entertainment was great, food at the buffet was just ok , Japanese restaurant was spectacular , service at the bars seemed extremely slow , beach was beautiful,

Beautiful hotel and property with great staff. Few bad points, largely the food, which was adequate but bland. But, hey, who goes to Cuba for the food? Beach was probably the best amongst the adjacent resorts. Didn't have a problem finding chairs, even in mid afternoon. Had to make a slight detour to the clinic to tend to some bug bites but it wasn't open on Sunday, so we had to go to a neighbouring resort. A bit inconvenient but we didn't let it spoil the trip. Service, while friendly, was  [... read more]quite leisurely. A couple of times they ran out of common items, but the resort was pretty full and they seemed to replenish frequently. Didn't really like the smell of the shampoo, soap and body wash, but all minor things. 9/10, would absolutely go again.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar Varadero Cuba

Beautiful resort; the grounds were beautiful; the Cuban staff were wonderful. We tried the Japanese restaurant and it was amazing. I would Not recommend the Italian restaurant...my 17 year old grandson makes better pastas, and the Maitre'd was not very friendly or accommodating. We met a lot of terrific people and would definitely consider returning to this resort.

Spotless resort

The grounds were absolutely amazing, spotless, the food was awesome, in the buffet lobster night was amazing, swim up bar and service there for drinks was disappointing, shows were awesome, Marialys in customer service was a gem, and thank you to Krista Shaver for taking care of everything for us from Tripcentral

Amazing!!!

We had just stayed here April 3,2017. We enjoyed lots of what this resort had to offer. The room was musty, but we had the door open. Great food, entertainment. For a weeks stay lots to do without side trips! Taking the bus into town was easy as well we felt very safe everywhere we went. This resort we will be back. As the royal service was just as wondedul if you paid to upgrade.

Great beach and nice people

If you're looking for a place to relax, this is it. Beautiful beaches, nice pool and friendly staff. The resort was clean and well kept, as were the rooms. The drinks could have been better--no slushy type drinks available.

Another great vacation at the beautiful Paradisus Princesa Del Mar

Just returned from our 4th week long vacation and once again we had a fantastic time! The gardens are very well maintained. The food was great. Entertainment amazing. The beach beautiful and last but not least the staff friendly, hard working, talented people. Thank you for helping make our stay fantastic.
