Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Amazing resort

Staff, food, grounds, pool, beach, rooms. Everything was awesome and clean and well taken care of. Great activities in the day time, also close to towns and excursions. 25 mins from airport! Such a nice resort

The food was good, rooms were nice, service excellent, beach and pools awesome. Views were amazing. A la carts excellent. The grounds are well kept. Trip to the town a little stressful people wanting to guide you to different shops as they make a commission from what you buy.

Cayo Levantado Resort: great resort

We were really excited to stay at the resort. When we arrived we were treated to a refreshing beverage and taken to our room. So excited to see our view and our beautiful room. We found the short cut from room 28102 beside the spa through the hotel to lobby. we used it all week. loved the beach and the ability to get a chair anytime of day. the good was excellent and really enjoyed the a la carte don pablo . so delish.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Excellent!

Just got back from a week in April/18. All Great! Excellent food, super clean, Can’t think of too much negative things to say about the resort. Just some things that I would mention: You really need to have lots of $1 US bills ready for tips, from the baggage handlers at the airport, bus drivers and guides, boat helpers, tour guides, butler service at the beach and pools, waiters, waitresses etc. Some of these people, especially those not affiliated with the resort sometime will even reques [... read more]t a tip. It’s better to buy rum and cigars in the hotel gift shop then the duty free at the Samana airport when leaving. Prices are much better. Also, at the departure airport in Samana, other than the $25US lounge, there is only one restaurant available which is very expensive, (example: a hamburger and fries is $16.50 US) . I would suggest possibly making to-go sandwiches at the resort, as long as it will get through airport screening.

Beautiful hotel and beach. Our room had ocean view. Fantastic!!! Very clean hotel, well kept, great people and service. Going back again for sure. The kids that are 5 and 11 and us had the best time that we spend at the beach and the pool. The entertainment at the pool was fun for all of us.Thank you for the wonderful week.

Bahia Principe Grand Samana Roulette: Fantastic Family Vacation

Beautiful scenic resort with everything at your fingertips! We travelled with an infant and had minimal issues getting around the resort with our stroller. The staff were beyond amazing with our 6 month old. I would highly recommend to everyone.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Best get away ever 😊

If you are looking for a quiet place to get away to than this is it. The grounds and hotel were kept pristine. Mature vegetation and scenery was beautiful to look at. Beach was private which was a big plus for us. Rooms clean and updated (beds extremely comfortable). Service from room and dining staff was great, they were always happy to serve you. Food was delicious and plentiful (could have varied a bit better) if you love fish than this for you. If you can't do stairs well this is not the pla [... read more]ce for you. I had no problem but if someone can't do stairs than not for you. Would definatly go back, because it's an adult only resort.

Our experience was very pleasant; the staff were always so friendly and courteous. Our housekeeper was so sweet and always had a beautiful smile on her face. The lobby was always cleaned and our food was delicious. Our favourite part of our trip was the a la carte restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed the last night at the buffet. The Bahia Principe is a beautiful resort situated on top of a cliff overlooking the city of Samana and the Bay of Samana. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are average but provide extra pillows and a blanket. Maid service is okay. we were left on two occasions without wash clothes and towels, the front desk sent the items immediately. The water was warm with a nice sandy bottom. We didn't spend any time at the pool...way too hot for me with no breeze like at the beach. My husband and I had a couples massage...very nice!, and we did the Safari excursion, not bad. Overall, it was a very nice resort and we enjoyed ourselves, however, I contracted Campylobacter while there and I have been home 5 days and still experiencing terrible cramping.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Almost Perfection

This resort met and exceeded my expectations. It was very clean and the staff was always eager to please. The grounds were beautifully manicured, the private beach was small but always found a sun lounger. The pools were very clean, no bird dropping on any chairs. We enjoyed both buffet restaurants and the a la Carte, especially Don Pablo restaurent. We didn't participate much in the nightlife but nightly shows were available. I would definitely return. Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Good trip

Beach is beautiful with long walk on both side. Food at the buffet with lots of choice for every one with sea fish and exotic fruit every day. Staffs very helpful and friendly. An employee from the resort will approach you to join their Privilege Club Membership, DO NOT BUY, it will cost you more to travel every year, and you have to pay a big deposit sum of money at the beginning.

Cayo Levantado Resort: We had a great time!

We had a great time at this resort! As we read in many reviews it is not a "party" resort, if you truly want to relax by the beach then this is the place to go. Our room was fantastic and huge. The resort is very clean and well maintained. The food is good and the beach is fantastic. There were shows almost every night out on the patio that were very interesting to watch. Our only complaints were that when we arrived at the mainland resort we had to wait in line to receive resort armbands and th [... read more]en we took a boat to the island to wait in another line to find out our room was not ready and we could not book any dinner reservations until we checked into our room. After 2 hours at the resort our room was finally ready but now all the dinner reservations were booked. We expressed our concerns to our butler and by day 2 he had reservations for us. The other thing that we noticed was that if you do not speak Spanish, not many hotel staff interact with you, on the other hand some tried really hard to interact in English. We stayed away from the public beach as we found the sales people very pushy. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and had a very relaxing week.

The resort was fantastic. It's not too big, not too small. The waterpark for kids is great. The staff is friendly. The food is good and plentiful. The rooms are nice. Daily and nightly entertainment is great. I recommend this place for sure. The beach is beautiful but there are rocky areas in the water. The pool is not very big and there is no pool bar. If you are looking to sit on the beach or by the pool for your vacation then this is the spot for you. Rooms were very nice and spacious and bed is comfortable. The view of the ocean is amazing, probably my favourite aspect of the resort. Nothing like sitting eating breakfast with the breeze and looking out over the ocean. Staff is a mixed review; either extremely nice or you felt like you were bothering them. Food was very good and a big selection at the buffet. Found it odd for an all in [... read more]clusive that if you wanted anything other than the house wine you would be charged. The beach was nice but very small. There is a beach bar but no chair service. Didn't spend anytime at the pool, always at the beach! A lot of stairs so for people with mobility issues this is not your resort. One thing I really missed was being able to walk around the resort or on the beach. Beach you can walk in about 5 minutes and if you walk around the resort it's all stairs or you are walking through people eating their dinners.

This hotel was the perfect place to get away. The hotel was clean and staff were all friendly. Big shout out to ABEL at the beach bar, he was wonderful. The resort is smaller than what we have been to previously but were pleasantly surprised because you don't need carts to bring you from one place to another. The food was great, the beach was clean and the water not the typical turquois but was a green but clean and could see to the bottom. We would definitely go back to this resort.

This facility exceeded all our expectations in every area. Would not think twice about going there again. The beach was beautiful, food was phenomenal and room and total facility was clean and certainly a 5 star plus. There are great seating areas for those who want to be outside but not in sun. All the people there are so accommodating and friendly going over and above.

The resort was very green. The buffet food was very good and lots to pick from. The beach was very clean. The snorkeling was great. The rooms were very clean. The staff were very friendly It was definitely a 4 1/2 star.

Amazing on all levels. From the food to the picturesque setting it was all perfect. It didn't disappoint. Am already planning out trip back because it was that wonderful. Would highly recco this place

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Excellent Resort

The resort is excellent for families with small children and older people. Excellent for snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, use of catamaran and fishing. You have a wonderful opportunity to go for a beautiful walk on the beach from the resort to the village of Las Galeras, a great place to meet friendly locals. The staff at the resort are really friendly and professional. The only downside we experienced was when it's bad weather, there is a limited number of indoor activities. Cayo Levantado Resort: I finally found my favorite place...

This is a beautiful quiet resort that has everything I was looking for...Good food, nice pools, a walking path shaded under lush tropical trees. The service is extraordinary and everyone makes you feel very special. The animation team is fantastic and there are activities if you would like to do them.
