La Isla Huatulco: Amazing disaster 😩

Hotel is very basic , but clean . Walk to the beach is about 15 min in open sun . Every 2 hrs they provide rides to the beach . Beach Club restaurant has tasty food. Waiting time to order food is about 1.5hr . Moody service waiting for $$$ . Not enough beach chairs. What's there is broken , discasting dirty. Two ladies were fighting over beach chair , pulling from both sides and screaming at each other. Service people had blast watching them . Construction job ! , on south side of the club [... read more] . Noise and dust . Dinner time most people choosing local restaurants $$ . They buying beer at the store . Why this hotel is listed as 3+ star hotel and all inclusive ????

La Isla Huatulco: good ample rooms.

Nice pool, good free bicycles, old billiards tables, ALL THE PERSONEL WAS AMAIZING, Kind, Funny, ready to help, awesome!. breakfast and lunch at the beach were very good. a little slow thou. Dinner at the hotel restaurant, (6 to 10:30), was not so good, but .. ok.

La Isla Huatulco: Terrible experience

Very friendly staff- it is only one positive thing . Air Canada Vacations should pay full refund . Misleading offer . Food- minimal choice , not enough beach chairs , umbrellas . Max 2* , not 4* or 3.5* as advertised .

Hotel Castillo Huatulco: 2 star resort with a 5 star attitude

First time in Hualtuco. Loved this little resort. Clean, quiet, relaxing, no loud entertainment staff. Food was good, lunch at buffet excellent, order from menu or service yourself at the buffet. Drinks and food service right at your beach chair. I will be back.

Secrets Huatulco: So Relaxing!

A great hotel in a fabulous setting with super staff. Can't say enough good things about this vacation. Every room has an oceanview and you can hear the crashing waves from every corner of the reaort. So relaxing!

Las Brisas Huatulco: weather guaranteed

What I liked: the gym, the food, I saw colourful, tropical birds, 1/2 hour ride from airport, everyone was so nice. The weather was consistent, amazing pools, grounds were well kept, clean. Coffee was yummy! The walk up to the room was good for me because i like to exercise but not good for people with mobility issues. My room didn't have a view or a patio to sit on, a big disappointment because enjoying my coffee on the patio first thing in the morning as I enjoy the view is an important part  [... read more]of my vacation experience. Pacific side seems more authentic. Earth quake tremor... real cool experience although I was scared and glad it was minor, would have been good to know in advance that they are not uncommon.

Las Brisas Huatulco: We had so many great experiences.

Las Brisas, a beautiful, well maintained, and well serviced locale where you can have some unique experiences. Our Transat vacation was on time, hassle free and their representative, Sophie, very professional. The weather was perfect at 30 C, with a breeze off the ocean. We spent most of our vacation in or on the ocean, snorkelling, on site (first time saw octopus, yellow puffer fish and green starfish) and tour ( Transat chosen rep) the boat was too small for 11 people, but the staff were sup [... read more]erb, Pepe and Thomas). I would say if you go to Maguey beach I would eat the chips and drink the bucket of Corona. Otherwise, eh. We did the shared fishing. If your spouse doesn't fish they may be able to attend for free. Don't take this intending to catch fish, it is fishing not catching, we caught nothing but we were in a flock of dolphins so large the water boiled with their activity. We saw dozens of sea turtles and had a beautiful day at sea. The water was clear and warm. We sea kayaked and spent a couple of hours in the adult pool, loved the stairs with water cascading down to pool, nice to sit in the heat. The city tour was great. Archie was our host and he kept our 4.5 hours fully entertaining. We had a brief overview of geography, history, present and past, enjoyed special lookouts, eating grasshoppers, drinking mezcal, and made a special stop so my wife could look at jewelry. The food was okay. We had upgraded to take advantage of the al a carte, but we don't eat at nine o'clock and that was the only timing we could get. On that note, upgrading, you don't get robes, if you order a drink you are supposed to get premium liquor, possible if you ask every time. The view was awesome. There was a point directly in front of 4205, one night at 17:00 we sat on the chairs with our drink and a humpback whale breached six, frickin times in a row, incredible. Now what bugged me. They have a flag system for the beach. Responsible and great idea. It never changed from red, (do not swim) except for about 12 hours during our stay. It was perfectly safe and at times optimal for swimming, so no confidence in flags. Boy you have to hope you are not there when it is truly busy. Our first 5 days, Feb 17 to 22 the service, availability of lounges etc were great, the last two days were yuck. Our table was given away when we went for our desserts, people were putting their towels on lounges to preserve their spot, it just didn't feel the same. We experienced our first earthquake, 4.8 x 2, and I did not feel too confident if something greater were to happen. It was an awesome holiday, and the staff of las Brisas can be proud of how professional they are to handle what they do with such poise and dignity.

Dreams Huatulco: Beautiful

This was s lovely resort , very clean , wonderful friendly staff I would recommend this resort to anyone, the only suggestion would be to stop people going down st 5 in the morning and putting towels on the lounges, and then coming back hours later . Or perhaps the resort should follow secrets example and out more shade spots on the beach or arround the pools

Dreams Huatulco: Outstanding Resort!

This hotel is the perfect size. Not so large that everything is so far away. The restaurants are really good and as a bonus you don't have to reserve. The beach is really nice as well as all of the infinity pools at the resort. Just beautiful. The rooms are a nice size and kept very clean along with turndown service. What I particularly loved is that you can eat breakfast at a lovely restaurant outside overlooking the beach and also eat dinner under the stars! With the weather there always b [... read more]eing perfect you truly want to eat outside and not stuck inside a restaurant like at some resorts. This resort has become our favourite! Why go somewhere else when this one is so good! The people are so friendly and the whole area feels very safe. No question, I would recommend this place to everyone but would also like to keep it a secret so it can stay just the way it is!!

We ordered from the room service menu and even ordered other items not listed and there was no problem. They said thirty minutes, we didn't think it would happen but it did each and every time within thirty minutes. They have a hidden cubby door in the cupboard so the waiter can actually put your order into your room without entering the room, which is great if you don't want to be disturbed. As for the pool area there was a lot of room available even after 7am, we didn't worry about getting a good spot, there were plenty available at each pool. The ocean was amazing, they actually built three palappa's during the night while we were there. The resort felt very safe, we even went out daily for a walk or run, the nearest neighbour was 2 km away in either direction. We took a morning ride to the shopping town of La Crucicitta, which was also a very pleasant experience. The highlight of our trip was our massage at the spa. They put us through a hydro therapy circuit pool, (amazing), followed by a eighty minute hot stone massage. The whole experience lasted three hours. Laura, we just want to say thank you again for making our vacation a special one and one that we won't soon forget. We will definitely be returning to that resort.

Barcelo Huatulco: Great Family Holiday

We just arrived home on Feb 21st from a week long stay at Barcelona beach Huatulco. We travelled with our 2 children ages 5 & 7. We upgraded to premium which was worth it we just wish it was included but offered a beautiful ocean view and no reservations needed for the a la carte restaurants and premium drinks. We also had beach gifts on arrival for the kids and sparkling wine in the room and many more options. We felt extremely safe and loved the very authentic experience. The resort was small [... read more] but perfect for families. Weather was HOT and consistent every single day. You need a hat everyday. Bring your Bubbas as your drinks will get warm fast. Service was amazing and the staff were truly exceptional and so attentive to us..I cannot say a bad thing. Orlando on the beach and his two boys treated us so well on our boat tour...highly recommend it. Only thing I would caution is the beach tide changes and it can have a dangerous undertow..be careful. We can't wait to return.

Barcelo Huatulco: Awesome resort

The resort as well as the grounds are very well maintained. The employees do a fantastic job and work extremely hard to ensure everything is in pristine condition. Staff are courteous, friendly and bend over backwards for their guests.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Amazing resort!

Wonderful room, food, weather, and amazing beaches. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed our stay very much. Late night entertainment sound from outside stage carried up to rooms, so it was hard to sleep sometimes

La Isla Huatulco: Dollar value good.

This hotel is trying hard to be an all inclusive. the staff are wonderful rooms clean. food at breakfast and lunch excellent. Dinner leaves a lot to be desired but gives you an opportunity to go into town where there are lots of reasonable restaurants and a wonderful mexician town square. myself being there twice loved having dinner at the beach club by the ocean. really for the price it was offered at I don't think they could do better.

bare bones resort but charming and lots of attentive staff- 3 minute shuttle to beach- food good! alcohol good!! would go again - reasonably priced! quaint pool and restaurant - the staff make this hotel great

Dreams Huatulco: Wonderful family vacation

Recently had a one week vacation at Dreams Huatulco with our daughter and two grandchildren aged 6 and 8. It was absolutely fabulous...especially the staff. They were so wonderful with the kids...and there were always activities going on for them to enjoy. Dancing, car races, swimming, Explorers' Club - the kids enjoyed it all, which made it easy for the adults to enjoy it all! Very clean resort, reasonable food, fabulous service, wonderful hot weather...it was a great week for everyone!

Secrets Huatulco: Very nice resort

Very clean, very big resort. Attentive staff! Loved no wrist band, no dinner reservations and great hours for all meals, i.e. breakfast until 11:00, lunch until 5:00, dinner until 10:30, plus 24 hour room service. Sprained ankle on morning walk and they got me ice no problem.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Fabulous place for a holiday

The hotel was first class,clean and well maintained.The beaches were amazing,very clean,no rip tides and great snorkling. The food was excellent,lots of variety and often cooked to your request. Hotel people were friendly and always willing to help. There are very good side trips available for those who want to get away from the hotel for a day. The nearby town was clean,safe and friendly. We are already planning for a return trip. There were lots of stairs to navigate but an excellent shuttle [... read more] system eased the strain. This would not be an ideal place for people with mobility issues.

Barcelo Huatulco: Fantastic resort

We loved everything about this resort! First the people are such wonderful people to talk to and they are so very helpful! They don't expect anything from you, which makes you want leave tips! Beautiful grounds and very clean place in every area! My only complaint would be not enough bottle water available for us! We will definitely go back! Great job everyone!

Dreams Huatulco: awesome resort

Everything was you notch food Beach. Room and staff excellent pools. Japanese restaurant food was amazing the spa and massage therapist s were very good and professional.. night shows and mariachi band. We're awesome. Bar staff very friendly. All round perfect relaxing resort
