Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Krystal Grand ish

Pros Food is pretty good, no they don't have 10 restos and a million choices but what they have is pretty good and there is something for everyone. Drinks are decent, good selection of liquors ect. There are servers at the pool that come by pretty regularly. Actually probably one of the best resorts I have been to with pool service. Pool area is great. Main pool, adult pool and an infinity pool (has the swim up bar). Lots of sun shelves, chairs in the pool, umbrellas, good mix of full  [... read more]sun and shade. Didn't find the classic "chair saving" was too bad. If you were out at 10 you could probably still get a spot. Hotel is attached to an oxxo, a pharmacy, a little shop and a bike rental place. The hotel will not tell you that but if you walk out and down the main stairs you are there. The city bus (22 pesos) to PV runs every 30-45 mins outside the hotel. Cons OK I know you're on vacation but the wifi is really terrible. We were only on the 5th floor overlooking the main area and had wifi maybe 10% of the time in the room. Lobby and pool area are ok but can still vary between really good and no service. Video chats home are spotty at best. I would not count on this wifi if you need to. You can definitely hear things next to you and people going down the hall but it's not really that bad. I never really found myself disturbed by it but alot of the night activities are right in the main pool area and you will hear those well into the night. If you want to sleep earlier than 10 ish, bring earplugs. Sometimes there are weddings and they have fireworks that will scare you half to death but are nice to watch. Beach is pretty nice but there are people selling horse rides up and down it all day which is fine, they just go on their way if you say no. But there was ample amounts of horse droppings getting knocked around in and out with the waves..

El Dorado Royale: 3 stars at best. Don’t go.

Pros: food is great. Cons: you can’t get a reservation despite needing one and being ‘gourmet all inclusive’, major timeshare / up sell / monetizing all the time (not really all inclusive), VERY over priced for value, room is dated, beach is not awesome, pools are freezing. We are here as a couple and are hugely disappointed. This is a 3 star resort at best.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Great family resort!

Overall was good! Repeatable food. Overcrowded. Cannot swim in the ocean, the wave is too high. ..................................................................................................................................

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Another Excellent Experience

The hotel was in great shape and kept their promise of a quality, luxurious, and relaxing vacation experience. The restaurants had delicious and high quality food with great service, and reasonable wait lists. The bars had premium liquor choices and great service. Communications between us and the staff were effective and friendly. We had no complaints! The bartender Henri in the Hideaway Pool Bar was excellent and made this trip memorable for us :)

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Great Trip…Okay Resort

We did a 10 day stay at the Princess. Some instant pros: check-in was seamless and fast, staff was welcoming and friendly and the resort/rooms were very well maintained and clean. Other highlights worth mentioning: the entertainment staff specifically the staff that host daily activities are great and on point! The resort pool closest to the Rodeo Grill hands down was the best place to lounge around at - something was always going on there and they bring out the bbq/grill for easy food access/sn [... read more]acks. Cons: food is meh at the main buffet though the La Cartes are way better and they don’t require reservations. The nightly entertainment shows are very high school musical sometimes very cringe - we skipped these after going to one. For the beach, we’re not really beach bums but the resort should really stop promoting that they have one, it was an eye sore but other than that we would likely stay here again but only with a larger group of friends.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great family resort with a lot of activities!

We really enjoy our Family Christmas trip to Barcelo Maya Colonial! Everything is amazing, food, beach, kids club, water activities. It’s our second time at the same resort, and definitely we will come back again.

The Sens Riviera: Great resort for the cost

Overall I enjoyed this resort. I thought it met the expectations of a 4-star resort. The food was really good. Many thanks to the manager of the buffet restaurant, Jesus for your hospitality.... they accommodated to my vegetarian diet by making me customized meals (but you do have to order a day before for vegetarian). For the beach beds you do have to claim them by 7am. The water is nice but you do need water shoes because it's quite rocky. Our room was the Jungle Room near Dino Land so it was ~10 min walk to the beach but I didn't mind it (although other travelers we talked to, didn't like it and had upgraded their rooms to be closer to the beach). We had rm#1123 & I thought it was a nice room but it's only suited for a couple because there is a semi-transparent glass partition between the shower and the beds. So if you're traveling with your dad for example, ask for a room where you can't see them shower lol. The drinks were great. Try the tequila boom boom shot. All the workers/staff were kind and extremely hard-working!!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Safe place for a great time

no shortage of food variety with 6 or 7 restaurants. pools weren't busy and there are adult only pools. Chairs are a bit hard so I recommend bringing an inflatable. Rooms were quiet and the visitors and staff are equally friendly.

The Sens Riviera: SunScape Akumal - good value

Hotel was a nice size not too big not too small. Really liked the yoga daily, the beach was great with the coral reef it was not too strong a current. Food was excellent and the 24 hour cafe was one of our favorite places.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: It was ok

When we booked, I did ask if we were going to be around children and if it would be loud. We were told no yet we are 2 people with no kids and were. put in the nosiest part of the hotel. Kids screaming at 5 in the morning. Not impressed with this booking as they wanted us to sit through a time share just so we switch rooms. We get to switch after 3 days with out sitting in an hour and a half presentation, but hasn't happened yet. The rooms are ok nothing special. Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Grand Sirenis is nice...but not what it used to be

We have been to the Grand Sirenis several times in the last decade and we can honestly say we are saddened by the state of things. Oddly, some things have been improved..the beds are better and the bathroom plumping seems to have been upgraded. However the food is not as good as it once was, the bars use very low grade calibre spirits, the entertainment has plummeted, and the overall service level is lower. We are beach people and our main focus to coming back to G.S. is the beach and specific [... read more]ally the snorkelling off the beach. However we have seen are real drop in the quality of water life. We used to see turtles off the beach all of the time. But we haven't seen any or even heard of any over our last two visits in the past year.The people remain nice. I wonder if they lost all of their staff during the pandemic and are still trying to train the newbies. It is about an hour and a half drive south of the airport at Cancun. We always rent a private transfer ($210) because a bus can stop at several resorts first adding an additional two hours onto the transfer from the airport to the hotel.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Not the best.

Food sucked. Food ran out often. Listed amenities were not there ie. Internet or only available for extra costs. Staff was amazing though! Absolutely fantastic staff. Probably wouldn't go again. I need more characters so I'm just filling at this point.

Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Good resort, food could have been a little better especially at the a la carts

Hotel staff were amazing hotel was pretty clean but none of our rooms had any hot water at any time during the week. The concierge service was great everything we needed they were very helpful. The food at the a la carts was probably the worst we've had at all our mexico visits maybe even worse than just the main food court

Iberostar Waves Tucan: Amazing trip

The resorts and grounds were immaculate and well kept. Staff very friendly. Food was great and lots of choices! The most pleasant surprise was the natural jungle in the middleof the resort, and all the wild animals you get to see. Wake up service by peacocks on the balcany!

Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Cancun by Royalton: Large and Beautiful Resort Complex

Beautiful and large hotel complex. Grounds and buildings are very well maintained. Great beach for walking, both directions. Plenty of pools. Excellent food. The resort gives priority to "Star Class" guests - bottle service in rooms, butler, reservations for any restaurant, top shelf liquors. Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Wonderful Resort

The resort was beautiful. Staff was lovely and accommodating. The food was great. Beach wasn't the greatest, too much seaweed and sharp rocks under foot, small beachfront. Amazing pool that runs across the resort.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Loved this resort!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Food choices were great, entertainment was good and the facilities were excellent. Brought our sons (18 & 21) with us - they also enjoyed it with the exception of having to share a king size bed as we were unable to book them a room with two beds. The pools were great and more than make up for the beach. We had no issue walking 30 minutes on the beach in either direction but the ocean itself had a fair number of rocks.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Very long checkins and checkouts

The check-in times are very long, 15 mins to to take a copy of your passport, and until you are fully checked in they don't even offer you a glass of plain water (which you need after a long trip). And same issues with check-out: takes very long. The sea is very rocky, you can easily break your foot if you make a wrong move just once.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: A Good Resort

This was a good resort, have been to 4 other resorts in the Mayan area ( twice at one). This resort offers all the standards that most resorts offer. The staff were fantastic, wish I could remember everyone’s name. Having a water and ice dispenser in each block of room was very nice. The buffet was good but on the smaller side and pretty repetitive but as I said was good. One thing I did not care for was not having access to the other resorts connected to the resort. We have stayed at other resorts that have multiple resorts in one and could use their amenities, except the private sections. The Star Cafe and the ice cream shop at the mall were a nice treat. I don’t want to discourage people from checking it out for themselves but I would probably not return.

The Sens Riviera: Great resort

The grounds were very clean and elegant. There is a Dino land with huge animals and pool for kids and a chip truck. There is also another kids pool with pirates and a BBQ pot and a swim up bar for kids. Very cute. Our rooms were clean and lots of pools and chairs , beach was excellent for snorkeling. Staff was very friendly
