Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Nice resort

Friendly staff, clean but a bit too large. Almost impossible to book restaurants. Majority of staff do not speak english. Cleaning staff brought items missing if you left a note.pool bar staff good. Food excellent. Never had dry towel supply at pool. We stayed at Ambar green but ate at Ambar blue, much better buffet. Entertainment not great.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Simply beautiful!

Such a great resort! Excellent services wonderful food and beverages and i think the Coba beach are is one of the best! The staff are phenomenal and always remember or recommend drink options lol. recommend to friends for sure 😀

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Luxury is the smart way to go

This was the second time in the last 4 months that we stayed at this resort (Blue first, then Green) with five other couples. We enjoyed being able to walk in the morning though the magnificient grounds and walkways. The beach was nice most of the time, and the pools were well maintained. The food was great, and service was most of the time very efficient, sometimes not too friendly. We had a great time and will probably come back in the coming years.

I have nothing but great things to say about this resort! The grounds were beautifully maintained. The food was spectacular. Always something new to try and i always loved whatever i tried! I was most amazed at how professional and friendly the staff at Bahia Green was. Pools were clean. Rooms as well. 😉 Hats off to the entertainment (animation) crew. Beautiful hotel/ lobby/rooms/beach/staff/pool...have been 4 times to this complex...different areas but 2nd time to Ambar Blue- will be back again- have travelled to Punta Cana 15 times and this is probably our favourite spot

Grounds are beautiful. Rooms are dated. Front Desk employees do not resolve issues. They argued about a $12 in room safe charge that didn't work. Would not budge. You will never win a customer complaint argument with them. They will nickel and dime you to the end. No concept of the customer is always right. Like I would lie about a $12 in room safe charge. Won't return here. The cleaning staff and some Restaurant staff were spectacular. Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Everything we were hoping for!

The hotel was awesome. - Best food we've ever had at an all inclusive. We enjoyed all 4 all a carte restaurants, as well as the buffet. - Very organized resort and the staff were friendly/helpful. The check in process was superb. They had you your key the minute you walked off the bus. No need to wait in line at the front desk. - Rooms were nice and very clean. Bed was fairly comfortable, at least by hotel standards. - Beach was amazing, you could walk forever in either direction. They're not pushy, but be prepared to say 'no thank you' every 20 minutes. - We liked the pools, although didn't spend much time at either - Older ground, most people we're 50+. The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Nice resort but lots of steps and walking

Food was fine, same items most nights at buffet but a la carte restaurants were good. Not a resort for anyone with mobility issues - washrooms not close to main pool, buffet not on main level. Strange layout to resort as nothing was close and everything required lots of walking and steps. Our room was clean and quiet as it was outside the main area - 10 minute walk plus 5+ flights of stairs with no option for shuttle and no way to avoid stairs. From main pool, flight of stairs and walk to [... read more] washroom, 2 flights of stairs up to main buffet or 5 flights of stairs down to snack bar. Set up a table at main pool with different types of rice every day, depending on theme. Snack bar by a secondary pool had dress code. Beach was very dirty. Staff was great - animation, bartenders and servers were all very friendly. Everything closes down at 11pm (bar closes, turn all lights off on patio) unless you want to go over to disco, which wasn't worthwhile Evening shows were inside very small, very warm disco. Not as nice as most of the Bahia Principes we have stayed at in the past.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Cayo Leventado: Samana's Vacation Gem

Cayo Leventado Don Pablo by Bahia is one of the best vacation properties we have visited. From the most excellent staff who gave the property a fun and friendly vibe, to the high quality food and drink - a la carte or buffet resto's, we found quality service and a wide variety of excellent freshly prepared foods. The accomodations were fantastic in the Villa's with beautiful views and large spaciouse and comfortable rooms. Loved the fact that the main beach and main pool were only steps away from each other. From beach volleyball and body surfing and snorkiling to just chilling this property had it all.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Nice resort

Resort was kept very clean, food was not as great, there was problems with the room but they corrected it with gifts. The beach was not very nice, the gourmet a la Carte was the only good restaurant. The cleaning maid forgot to restock the mini bar everyday.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Good place

Clean, presentable. Staff is constantly working on keeping up the place - lobby, grounds. Beautiful pool area. Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. However, the lighting in the room and bathroom is below the average. The shower only has half door, causing the water to splash all over the floor when you're taking shower. No hot water sometimes. Crystal clear Caribbean water is the number one reason for choosing my destination and this hotel missed the mark. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Amazing staff

The staff at this resort makes the entire experience priceless. From the service at the breakfast buffet to the bartenders and amazing staff in the kids club - all fantastic! Upon arrival our air conditioning wasn't working and the hotel had this resolved by the time we returned to the room in the evening. We were there celebrating my mothers 60th birthday. The staff decorated the room for her birthday all while she was on the balcony reading a book and had No idea anything was happenin [... read more]g. The jerk chicken is amazing and we never came across a time when it had run out. Definitely make sure to check out the blue hole/island gully experience!

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Great Resort, minor issues

The grounds and room are gorgeous, food and selection was great. Good entertainment from what I saw (we have a 4 year old so we would head to the room by 9). The beach was excellent ... 5 minute walk or wait a couple minutes for a trolly ride. The beach was busy, the pool and both water parks werent. No issues with towels or getting lounge chairs. The issues we had ... The a la cartes only had availabilty to be booked for after 8:30 (on day 2 of the trip) ... Pretty silly for a family resort. O [... read more]ur wifi would work for a day, then not the next ... The other 2 families we were with had no issues. Our A/C was mediocre (again no issues in the other 2 rooms). Our bath tub drain wouldnt hold water and jets kept popping out. We werent that concerned so we didnt call the lobby about it. Finally, there is nowhere early in the morning for coffee. Im up at 5am and from 10pm to 7am that place shuts down. All in all, still a wonderful resort just not quite a 5 star

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Awesome

We had a great time. The staff from guest service to housekeeping were friendly and helpful. The food was good. We especially enjoyed the BBQ a la carte...steak was soooo good. The grounds were immaculate. We will definitely return.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: FANTASTIC RESORT-PARADISE

My husband and I travelled to Sian Ka'an February 2-9th. We travelled with 14 of our good friends. The weather was great. The resort is beautiful. It is lush, clean and well maintained. Best service we have had at a resort. EVERYONE was pleasant, helpful and always smiling. Yes we did tip but never felt we had to. The food is amazing. Delicious buffet with a great variety of food. Sports bar had great wings. We went to three specialty restaurants. Maiko, Rodizio/Tulum and Alux. My favo [... read more]urite was Maiko. Definitely want to return to try the others. Drinks were delicious especially the Mango Margaritas. House wine both red and white was very good. Going to the beach on the shuttle was fun. Always met new people. Never had to wait long. Beach was great. Lots of chairs and shade. Again great service. Lots of fish to see. We had a gropro and it was great to have a video of all the fish that you were swimming with. Excursion: we booked the Tulum & Jungla Maya Park at the resort. Fantastic day. On one of the zip-lines you land in the water...amazing. They don't allow cameras. We purchase the pictures and videos and were not disappointed. The pictures and videos are great quality. Well worth the price. We wished we had booked two weeks. Definitely will return. Wonderful, wonderful vacation!

Grand Bahia Principe Review We enjoyed our stay at Grand Bahia Principe in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. Check-in was smooth, it didn`t take more than 10 minutes to get our keys. Our two adjacent rooms were overlooking to the pool and the ocean. The view from the balcony was magnificent! We liked the variety of food at the buffet restaurant. Food were always plenty. The pool is very nice and the water was always clean. Lots of activity around the pool. The swim up bars were always busy. The property is huge but it was not a problem for us as we like to walk. The beach was decent. There are lots of lounge chairs. The shopping village offers variety of goods. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not like that there was a fee for the safe as well as they asked the photocopy of our credit card. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Raised the bar for us

My wife and I just got back from a week at Sian Ka’an. Our trip started on Feb 3 with Air Canada. As per the airline’s reservation, Air Canada provides food for purchase and complementary water, pop and juice. I agree with all the good reviews about the grounds, the cleanliness, the buffet and the a la carte restaurants. We ate at (5) a la carte restaurants, all were good, with some dishes better than others and the seafood being our favorite. The buffet restaurant has so much to offe [... read more]r, lots of seafood and vegetarian choices. Some cooked dishes were a bit too salty for our taste. I wish the servers were as attentive to refilling our coffee and water as they were to taking away the used dishes off the table. We actually would get so excited when we were offered more coffee or water. To their credit, the servers are really busy seating guests and keeping the restaurant clean and tidy. I brought to the attention of a supervisor (in private) that all “hot” foods were lukewarm, he showed interest and brought the chef to meet me and they suggested that I bring any not hot enough food to the attention of one of the food stations staff or the supervisor and they will warm it up for me! The room in block 14 was so nice, to the point that I felt like taking a shower before jumping in bed upon arrival around 11:00PM. Water pressure might not be as much as in our Canadian shower, but it is sufficient. They provided good quality shampoo, body wash and soap. They missed restocking the minibar 3 times. The butler was a great help and our inquiries for A/C malfunction or restocking the minibar were fulfilled within minutes. The king bed was very comfortable and the multiple pillows were of good quality. Our balcony overlooked the pool and entertainment but it was surrounded by large trees and gave us enough privacy. WIFI works everywhere, just remember to set Internet Explorer as your default browser. Google or Chrome will generate an error when signing in. We walked to the beach a few times to watch the sunrise. We left the room before 7:00AM and it took us 25 minutes to walk the 2.3Km. Very nice walk. The trams come around every 10 minutes, the 12 minute ride is nice as well. The half hour round trip, including the wait, was a bit of a waste of time, but still enjoyable and nice to admire the beautiful grounds. The beach in front of the Sian Ka’an exclusive lounge chair area is nice with over 100m of shallow water and sandy bottom all the way up to the floating wave breaker barriers. Snorkeling is nice in the area just off the beach. I wish ignorant people were considerate and would refrain from stomping over the rock formations where coral is trying hard to grow. Fish can be seen around the rocks, so people don’t have to walk over the rocks to see the fish. Water is always wavy due to moderate to high winds. The beach servers were the most friendly, cheerful and appreciative of our tips. We booked the Chichen Itza tour through BD Travel in the hotel who doubles up as Air Canada agents. The guided tour included the Chichen Itza ruins, lunch, swim in a sacred sink hole and a souvenir market. Nice tour and knowledgeable tour guide, but it would have been nice if the BD Travel agent did not insist that the ride to Chichen Itza would take 1.5 hours when it actually took 3.0 hours, plus the half hour stop at the souvenir shop. It was a very enjoyable and educational day. Overall, our visit to Sian Ka’an raised the bar for us and we look forward to going back. I am giving this resort a 4.5 start because of the minor imperfections like the lukewarm food, less than perfect attention to guests in the restaurant and some salty dishes. None of these imperfections was a show stopper but I believe a solid 5 star rating should be reserved for a resort and staff that “can walk on water”. Most probably such place does not exist. better beaches, up dated facility (broken tile in the bathroom) , staff needs to be a bit more pleasant they should be saying hi to the guests first not the guests to them , pool could be a bit warmer, slight change in the food in that it appeared to be the same thing day after day ,
