Memories Paraiso: Not so good
Very concerned about the food. La cartes were the worst. Hot food cold cold food warm. Cold meat sat out all day In 40 degree weather grey and slimy. Beach was very beautiful. Resort very Large night life was fun. Great staff tried their best. Staff even got frustrated with lack of food. Having to tell customers that they only have one dish left to sever no beef no pork no shrimp.
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: We have been there twice before, it's the best!
Grounds are incredible, pools are well looked after, but I prefer the ocean with the best beaches.Private restaurants are wonderful with wide international taste.although it is a long bus ride in,well worth the holiday.
Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful resort and location - Bad Food
All the rooms in this resort are not all complete. The resort is beautiful. The managers could not care less about any issues that occur. When I purchased a card for the internet, I could not see the code. When I went to see the girl (2 minutes later) I was told that it was not her problem but mine. Staff really was not very friendly and I would not go back to this resort.
Melia Las Dunas: Fun trip.. a few kinks
overall very nice resort for the price we paid. Got there and had issues with checking in... they upgraded us for the inconvienence, but ceiling was constantly leaking from the A/C it seemed. oh well .
Memories Paraiso: Poor
There was four of us that stayed at memories in cayo Santa Maria. None of us will stay there again. The food was cold. The bathrooms where disgusting. The only nice thing was the beach and the weather.
Melia Las Dunas: Terrif it Resort!
This resort was beautiful, clean with great helpful staff. The beach was stunning with water that was gorgeous shades of green and blue with lovely white sand. Some days the sky at the beach was a pretty shade of violet. The catamaran trips from the beach were an added delight. Rooms were clean and all resort workers were dedicated and hard working.
Memories Paraiso: Avoid
The grounds were well kept. The rooms were dated especially the bathrooms but very clean. Food quality and supply was very inconsistent. A La Cart Restaurants had very little to offer, in fact I preferred to eat at the buffet. Same thing with the bar drinks - very inconsistent. Some days the drinks were excellent and other days after a sip I lost interest. The line up at the bar was usually too long to go back and get another drink. Perhaps that was a good thing :) The biggest issue was the staf [... read more]
Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful Place
Beach is beautiful, pool is beautiful, grounds are beautiful, food is so so....hey its Cuba. Staff were very friendly but It would be better if some of them could speak a little more English or me a little more Spanish. Oh ya bring Ketchup and Peanut Butter.
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Great time
Had a wonderful 11 days at the Melia Cayo Santa Maria. We signed up for the elegance club and was pleasantly surprised to see that we were handed our dinner reservations - NO line ups... we went to the Mediterranean, French and Japanese. The French was our favourite - the chateaubriand was the best! cooked perfectly and very tender. Our room was cleaned daily and although I heard some complaints about lack of hot water, we never experienced any issues. The staff although sometimes rushed were ve [... read more]
Playa Cayo Santa Maria: not worth going to, even for the beach
Beach nice but too crowded and blaring music during day which is not relaxing. Pools nice but not all bar men or servers were friendly. Never approached to offer drink, always had to go to bar for food or drink. Difficult with baby to mind. Food OK but no covering over food which meant flies and blackbirds constantly flying on food and pecking at it, not appealing. At most this is 2 star hotel. Garden staff were the only genuine friendly people we met, everyone else expected tips in order to be [... read more]
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Nice resort.
The hotel itself was nice. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the resort easy to get around, pool nice and beach amazing. Staff were friendly. The food and drink however we not that great. There was no salad, buffet was the same everyday, the food tasteless and scary (the cooking practice was not always safe). Beer was fine and the mixed drinks were hit and miss.
Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Eurostar? More like 0 star
Oh.my. God. Please DO NOT make the same mistake I did and waste your money on this. It looks nice but that is it!!! The worst service I have ever experienced in my life. We requested a 2nd or 3rd floor room with a king sized bed, not a difficult request by any means, they put us on the 1st floor with 2 double beds, a safe that didn't work, tv that didn't work, weak water pressure, toilet didn't work half the time, frame around the door was broken so wouldn't close properly and the "garden view" [... read more]
Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Great Resort
We had a great time, it was sunny every day the resort was clean, staff was friendly. Our room was clean and keep clean by a wonderful lady by name of Elneza, the beach grill served fresh fish and pizza at lunch . At the buffee for dinner one niight there was lobster very delicious. My only complain wouldbe that there was not enough shade at the beach.
Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Great Resort!
The hotel was clean, the grounds were beautiful, the rooms were nice, the food was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back and we would definitely recommend this resort.
Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing Beach and Great Entertainment
Eurostars Cayo Santa Maria was well worth the money! The beach was amazing and there was plenty of entertainment throughout the day. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was reasonably good but not amazing. We enjoyed our stay and may return. Be prepared for a 2 hour bus ride to this resort.
Memories Paraiso: Average
Grounds-well kept, dining rooms- airconditioning not working, Foods-hot items were cold, rooms- very clean but not well serviced when items were broken. My TV was broken for 3 days before it was fixed after complaining 2x a day. Evening entertainment not well organized especialy for the size of the resort. Staff very friendly. Beaches absolutely awesome :)
Memories Paraiso: Wonderful beach, beautiful people...
Overall I would give this resort 4 stars. It is very large, which is a bit of a drawback, but if you stick to a part of the resort for the week, it is quite manageable. Lots to eat, plenty of chairs, shade, and the nicest beach I have ever seen. We have traveled to Cuba many times and this beach beats Varadero and Cayo Coco for sure. Far enough away from the main island that there are colorful fish to see even if you don't want to go on a catamaran. Everyone always talks about the food. Resorts [... read more]
Resonance Blu Santa Maria: No complaints!
We arrived at nightcheck in was fast, our safe didn't work, maintenance was there in 10 mins! Hotel and grounds are kept very clean. Large resort! Lots of places to eat. Lots of entertainment. Great place for kids. Beautiful beach! Staff is friendly and helpful. The market is very close to the hotel. I would totally go back!
Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Great value - beautiful beaches
Great beach, great weather, great people. Resort is only a couple of years old so is still in good shape. Some wear and tear and with limited resources they fix things as they can. Food was okay, we never went hungry and there were some surprises with really great cappuccinos and grilled fish. We would definitely return.
Resonance Blu Santa Maria: amazing resort
Just got back on Thursday April 23 from Starfish Cayo Santa Maria and it was great trip resort and people were amazing. The beach was so nice. For Cuba the food was really good. We will go back for sure.
