Krystal Puerto Vallarta: Average resort

This resort has clean grounds and some nice ocean view rooms but lacks and kind of atmosphere. Not enough spots to get drinks throughout the day led to lineups. Hard to get a beach towel on some days. If you would like a quiet, mellow get away this place could work. Anything beyond that don't bother.

Riu Dunamar: Amazing resort

Resort is clean, food is great. Restaurants have wonderful service. Beach is beautiful, I would recommend this resort to other friends Room is completely spacious and serves are good. But I would not recommend Sunwing serves since my confirmed excursion messed up and we missed the excursion due to Sunwing booking system even though next day they recooked for us and we could make it.

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Beautiful resort

The rooms are spectacular, outside the grounds are really clean. Everything well maintained. The staff is awesome and very helpful. The food is not bad but always the same all week. Need to change that for me to go back. The pool and beach are good.

Viva Maya by Wyndham: Please don’t waste your vacation at this resort.

This resort is absolutely a nightmare! They have no room service, the food is so bad. The minute you walk into the buffet it smells. They don’t have much of a selection and the staff doesn’t seem to care to help with anything. I have been to Mexico many times and this was by far the worst resort I have ever stayed at.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: NOT FOR FOODIES/BATHROOMS NOT GOOD

The excellence brand is a well-oiled machine operationally. I have been to the one in DR and Jamaica as well. The resort is well maintained and modern. The food is “meh” BUT it depends what YOU are used to. If you are a foodie who likes to go to nice restaurants in your city, this is not the resort for you. The food is a 6 out 10 and that’s being nice. The bathrooms are ridiculous. Open concept to the rest of the room with only a glass door on the toilet that does not muffle any sounds, it [... read more] actually broadcasts the sounds. You can basically hear everything (and I mean everything) that is going on in there when someone is on the toilet. Total romance killer. Even when someone is blow drying their hair, you will have to leave the room. It’s just such a horrible idea. Oh… and by the way, the pools are not heated which came at an incredible disappointment to many guests.

Ocean Maya Royale: Love Ocean Maya

This was my third time to the Ocean Maya. The last time was December 2018. I book this resort because it's close to Playa Del Carmen, adults only, and it isn't to big. I love the small buildings with only 6 rooms in each, the grounds are always lovely, I like there is a busy pool and a quiet one. The food is good and there are enough restaurants to choose from when I do a 10 day stay. This time around things were just a little bit below where they had been 4 years ago. The evening shows w [... read more]ere fine but had fewer outside entertainers, dinner at El Charro by the pool was ok but I have had better Mexican food in my home city. Just a few things looked a bit neglected but the rooms were clean, there was always enough food and booze. (the Italian and Romantica restaurants were still excellent!) The lobby is looking worn and outdated. Dirty torn carpets, couches that are dirty, check in staff who aren't as enthusiastic as they used to be. Door knobs coming off in the bathroom by the Sports bar. Just little things. From talking to a local I think it is perhaps just a similar issue to Canada, everyone is screaming for enough staff. I never felt like there was anything lacking. We had a lovely vacation and rest and I would totally recommend others pick this resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: We keep coming back!

We've been to BP Resorts about 14 times but this was our first time staying at Tulum. We noticed that the tables were cleaned off quickly and the floors were kept very clean in the Buffets. The bathrooms also were routinely cleaned as well. The grounds at this resort are so beautifully maintained. We had no problems with our room. The fridge was stocked with water, pop & beer every day. The beds were made up as well. Some things we had to request were extra bath and hand towels as well as fac [... read more]ecloths. They brought them to our room within 15 minutes. Overall, it was an awesome vacation for us & that is why we keep coming back.

The Sens Riviera: Great resort

Hotel was beautiful and the main desk always manned with several employees. The check in was great and the next day we had to upgrade to Sun club as we found several restaurants were sun club only and we didn't like the fact we had no balcony. The grounds were really clean and food good and staff excellent.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Lovely vacation!

We love the Barcelo resort. The beach is beautiful, lots of comfortable chairs on the beach and poolside. The grounds are well kept. The lobby areas are comfortable and love the fountain features. The Premium lounges well supplied with top shelf liquor and friendly servers and concierge desk assistants. The pool areas were enjoyable and poolside servers were efficient and smiling, ready to bring your favorite cool beverage. So relaxing in the sunshine with cool breezes off the ocean!

Royal Solaris Cancun: Everything is perfect except

If there is a balcony for the non members will be 100% perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!others are very nice. Service r nice pool is good food is fine. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Too noisy

We stayed here December 7-17 2022. Overall a nice hotel in a scenic area near Puerto Vallarta. Food and service were fine. We had booked a Premium room which was a nice size and the view was very nice. Seems like all rooms face the water. We were in Tower one on the ninth floor. Beach is small with lots of boat traffic so snorkeling and swimming is restricted to a small area of the cove. Pools were nice though. Loud music from 9am until 5pm. If there is a wedding, the music continues until 11pm [... read more]. There were 3 weddings in the 10 days we were there. Not very relaxing. Would not recommend if you want a quiet holiday.

Oceano Palace: Oceano Palace

Just returned from 14 days at Oceano Palace in Mazalan,Mexico plus one night at Valagio due to flight cancellations .Oceano Palace is an extremely clean place with excellent food in our opinion,friendly and very competent staff with many beautiful ,professionally decorated Christmas trees!It is very noisy during the day and well into the late evening!However,we were allowed to eat breakfast and use facilities at nearby LUNA PALACE which is quiet,also has excellent food with a huge ,beautiful and [... read more] clean pool.We spent every day there!I would not recommend Oceano Palace hotel ONLY because of the loud ,loud,loud music!WestJet handled our flight cancellations well .We flew to freezing Calgary the next day.

Riu Emerald Bay: Loved this place

This is an excellent hotel in a perfect location. The staff is so friendly. They went out of their way for the guests. I traved on my own and felt very safe. My favorite restaurant was Bamboo the Asian restaurant. Definitely would return.

Samba Vallarta: A small comfortable resort

The grounds are lovely and well manicured. There was maintenance happening on the large pool which was completed the day before we left. It looks beautiful and we'll enjoy it next year! The dinning room was always clean and tidy. The service from the staff was warm friendly and professional. The Mexican restaurant and the Italian restaurant were fabulous! Many delicious options to choose from and amazing service. The concierge is an added plus to the resort. Bernardo was very friendly and [... read more] extremely helpful. He was always asking if he could help us in any way. Bruno, bartender in the bar by the front desk made us perfect lime margaritas and was very friendly, great service. The waiters at the pool and beach are great!

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Incredible Resort!

The staff were attentive to all of our requests from planning a birthday decoration for my wife to getting the perfect cigar recommendations from the cigar man. The food was amazing, I gained weight from our visit because I couldn’t stop at just one plate at each meal. The cleanliness of everything was spot on.

Riu Palace Baja California: Wonderful Times in Los Cabos Riu Palace Baja California!!!

We love Cabo....and the new Adults only Riu Palace did not disappoint. We stayed at the first Riu Palace there in 2017...so we loved visiting for a whole day there to enjoy the same wonderful food. The Riu Palace line is a wonderful getaway....I highly recommend to anyone! The grounds, the food, the pools, the wonderful Mexican Staff....the entertainment....all perfect. We are so rested and refreshed from our vacation. Of course, all sanitary precautions of covid were followed.

Grand Sunset Princess: Did not disappoint

2nd time at this resort. Was as good as the first. Clean, well-maintained, Food was great. Rooms very comfortable. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Beach was good. Some storm damage (I think) but still fine.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Fairly Predictable

The resort has not changed much over the years except for cutbacks in staff and services. No boats, roped off swim area, no lifeguards the first few days, fewer waiters and food staff and fewer food choices. Grounds Maintenance has decreased and grass noted up to 12 inches tall in places, finally mowed the week before Christmas. Buffets had variety but not as much as in the past. Specialty restaurants hard to book as online times are filled within the first half hour most days.and not all are o [... read more]pen every day so hard to plan ahead. Shows are still good and you could see the week at a glance. Activities for the day are not posted until about 10 am on a whiteboard so hard to plan your day. Bar service was excellent, beach and ocean are great. Beach chair saving always a problem when people claim them at 6am and don’t show up until 1pm. Overall rating a solid 3, not 4 star as advertised.

My third time at the resort and second time via Trip Central. Enjoyed my stay and everything was as intended. The resort is clean, the transfers were on time and documents were complete. I will revisit again for sure, stress free.
