Occidental Punta Cana: First Trip!

This was my first trip ever. I cannot wait to return. The rooms were clean, the staff was so very pleasant and welcoming. As someone with food allergies, the buffet had amazing options. Be sure to tip!

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Amazing resort

The Gran Vantana was and great resort. I had the premium package which gave me access to the private section and the vintage club. Both had amazing service. We also had 3 a la cartes the Ocean grill was unbelievable, great taste, great flavors and fantastic service. The other two were good but the ocean was my favorite. The only issue I found was that a message was left at the front desk about our departure and they didn't inform us of the change.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Dreams Dominicus

We enjoyed our 1 week stay at Dreams Dominicus. Our arrival very disappointing and discouraging. We had booked a king swim up suite and it was communicated that we were celebrating our 30th anniversary while here. My husband communicated with the resort and told everything was looked after. Upon arrival, security at the gate congratulated us. Unfortunately, guest services, in the Preferred check in Section seemed oblivious and uncaring towards this. They didn’t have a room for us and we [... read more] were told to return after having a meal. Many other guests appeared to have the same issue. We went to eat and came back to find the Checkin space filled with some new upset individuals as well as others returning like us. We were finally placed in a room that clearly was not really intended to be ours. It wasn’t decorated to acknowledge our special occasion and we found a welcome letter to some unknown to us individual. We shared thus and still staff had no regard. Not at all a nice way to start a vacation. After this though, the rest of our experience was positive. Building 50 was a great location for us, close to lobby and fresh coffee and tea every morning. Joanna took good care of us each and every morning. If she was not serving, she ensured the coffee was made right. May not be ideal for all but we liked it for it’s privacy and quietness. A la carte service was hit and miss depending on the restaurant. Family section was never busy and service was always exceptional. Great friendly service always. Seaside restaurant was our favorite with the soups, nachos and the meat plater. The coffee bar was always a nice evening stop. Good snacks and coffee. She had my chi latte figured out after a couple attempts. She was always friendly and willing to help and learn. Beach restaurant was okay but the services was poor. Denis on the grill and Genesis at the bar took good care of us in the preferred section to the left. Always lots of chairs and shade to be found. Only went in the main pool once. Enjoyed the paint night and the sailing lesson from Izero. Danny our butler did a great job organizing our anniversary extras that he had for us in the room. The spa was a nice treat at the end of our vacation. We did spend a lot of evening in our swim up pool. The walk to town was easy and many shops to be found along the way. It is much quicker to go by beach. Safety was never a concern. Dominicus shopping plaza is just getting started. Cheap booze and coffee to take home. We did have a cheese and meet player one evening in the room. Not sure who had set the up but a thanks goes out to you. We could easily have done two weeks. The buffet was always good, a lot of repeats but you never go hungry.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Staff are as Amazing as the Resort!

Operations Manager, Nestor Coforreal is beyond outstanding! From the time he met us at the front desk on our late night arrival to the day we left, he did everything he could to make our stay exceptional. I would return just knowing he is there and looking after things! We had a great trip, resort was great, staff are excellent and do everything they can to assist you. Would return in a heartbeat!

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: A keeper!!!!

This was our 5th trip to a GBP Resort and our First to Luxury Samana. As was mentioned in other reviews for other travelers this is a small resort which we love. It has a lot of stairs. Not the typical flat resort. The resort, staff and location is fantastic. Private beach and no other resorts around. What else could you ask for!!! Add great food at the buffet and restaurants and all the drinks you would need. We have to mention Jen Black at Trip Central who did a wonderful job with emails  [... read more]and follow ups. Air Transit was perfect. Clean plane that left on time and landed before scheduled time. A flawless vacation.!!!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing resort

It was our second time at this resort. Stuff is friendly, service is very good. Food is good. Everything is close by. Would recommend highly this resort. Will be coming back to Esmeralda. Thank you very much all of the stuff!

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Satisfied Sun Seekers

Sunscape grounds are beautifully maintained & very close to the beach. Sun was hot, pools were cool and drinks were cold! Service was beyond our expectations. Although the buildings could use some TLC, the cleanliness was outstanding. The entertainment was not out taste, but the Beach Party was fantastic.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Relaxing vacation!

Very relaxing one week stay. Staff all very friendly and accommodating. Buffet and a la cartes all excellent. accommodations were excellent. entertainment excellent. shout out to Nerfri for leading all the fun activities!

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Wonderful Resort

They entertainment and excursions were wonderful. Food was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Lots to do for people of all ages. Only issue we observed was the showers (temperature and pressure) but other than that it was perfect

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Absolutely Amazing

Upon arriving at the resort the first thing you notice is the cleanliness. We booked the junior suite and it was just what we had expected. The moment my wife got off the bus she said we have to come back. The beauty of all the vegetation was incredible. The friendliness of the employees made you feel so welcome and at home.Food was amazing, there were many different choices and they never ran out of anything at the buffet. Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Barcelo Bavaro Palace

The grounds and facilities were great, the beach (amazing) is the best feature of the property. Most staff were friendly and the grounds were kept in immaculate condition. We enjoyed the evening entertainment, the billiards and Casino and listening to their piano player. It was too bad that the disco was closed. We were disappointed with the food, even taking dukoral before the trip our family of 4 got sick while we were there. The a la carte is definitely recommended but I would not recommend the steak house. The Japanese and French restaurants were our favourites.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: A wonderful vacation

This was our 4th vacation at Majestic Colonial and it was our best. Everything from check in to check out was fantastic. A big shout out to Francisco our butler,(he was the best) to Yris our maid, (she certainly looked after us) to Fedeline in the Club room to Angel and Yohanny at the beach. All the staff was so friendly and always smiling. Great selection of restaurants and snack areas. We had an Ocean view room which was the best. A fantastic view 24/7. Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Jamaica was better

The grounds were beautiful as were the pools, beach and spa however the rooms were run down and not as clean as I would like. I know I'm kind of fussy but things like soap stained shower doors, stained chrome, grime around light switch plates, sticky door handles, all put me off. Run down examples would be the need for grout replacement around tiles, door security chain falling off wall. Also found the staff kind of unhappy and unorganized, maybe understaffed due to pandemic? Sanctuary Cap Cana Luxury Collection Adults Resort: Beautiful wonderful resort

This property is absolutely breathtaking and the amenities and extras make it first class all the way. The staff went out of their way to make our stay fabulous. Rooms were wonderful, food was delicious.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Good

Great staff, beautiful grounds, food just ok, resort over booked, difficult finding clean dishes, clean tables clean cutlery, four star resort, needs more cleaning staff in eating areas, maintenance needed in rooms old food, products left under furniture and sink, leaking shower so water was in the sleeping area had to dry feet before getting into bed, washrooms not adequately supplied

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Enjoyable Adult Only Resort

Resort was very clean, immaculate grounds. Staff were friendly, with great poolside service. Ala cartes were excellent!(other then seafood restaurant which we did not enjoy ) We had a premium oceanview room,which had beautiful view of ocean. Great room service. Resort is very quiet, activities held at the beach area, which we didn't do, but were offered throughout the day.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Great vacation!

Two weeks spent at this resort. The staff, grounds, and swim-up room were the highlights. Food, drinks, and coffee were okay. A la carte restaurants require lining up (no reservations), so get there before 6pm. It was very busy with guests during our time and at least one wedding a day. Ocean is wavy and challenging with young children, and the sand is very soft. A lot of seaweed some days. Resort is large with many pools for everyone, including the water park area. Chairs with umbrellas by the  [... read more]pool and beach are taken up early even though the resort asks guests not to reserve with their belongings. Staff tried to encourage mask wearing in closed areas, but guests often did not comply and some would take a mask from staff and remove it. Some guests complained about mask wearing in closed areas and challenged staff. Staff worked hard to keep areas clean but it was very busy. The Punta Cana airport was fast paced and security were pushy if moving too slow to keep people moving. Inconsistent with wearing masks at the airport - signs say to wear but seems not enforced as many did not wear.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Very nice resort

Very clean. Friendly staff. Good Food. The only issue was the inability to book an a la carte dinner. Always booked up early in the morning and selection was limited. Otherwise a very nice, clean resort.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Great Stay

This is not a 5 star resort by any means but is very Clean, well kept and the staff is totally amazing. Select side is nice and small and has everything you could want. Beach is smaller but very nice to swim in. Food is average resort food but many nice restaurants just off resort that are to die for. Sosua is a very safe place to go explore. Best part was no vendors bugging you all the time. The staff makes this resort!

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Great hotel for the money

The hotel was pretty decent. The rooms were a little outdated but we didn’t care because we were just in there to sleep and change. So many amazing pools to choose from. It’s nice that there are a lot of adult only pools to choose from as well. The entertainment staff are super friendly. There were games a few times a day and most could also be played by kids. There were shows every night and they were very entertaining. The people LOVED the baby we had with us! They would offer to hold h [... read more]im and play with him so we could all participate in games. Very kid friendly atmosphere! There’s a casino on site which also has complementary nachos and popcorn (which my daughter would as us to get her because they were so good!) The beach was nice, but so wavy we couldn’t really go out. Obviously not the hotels fault, but still a bummer. Lots of food selections for everyone. There were even a ton of options for us to give to our 7.5 month old who is just starting on solids! I would happily book at this hotel again.
