Melia Jardines del Rey: Great resort

Our room was in bungalow 25. It seemed to be very updated and house keeping did a great job everyday. We were right behind the "quiet pool" with a snack bar that was open for lunch. We were also only steps away from the lobby, which was very convenient as we were travelling with children. Our building was also across from the gym and 24 hr doctor, (who was fantastic!), and unfortunately we did have to see in the middle of the night. Our only complaint with this building is that it is very close  [... read more]to the disco that had very loud, outdoor parties till after 2am on Thursday and Saturday while we were there. Guest services was very apologetic about the noise, but because the disco is not actually part of the resort, there was not much more they could do. Others in our group had originally been put in bungalow 14, which was near the beach, beach bar and restaurant. They said it was very dirty upon arrival and their view was a mud field, which gave off a pretty unpleasant smell. They immediately moved to our bungalow. The a la carte restaurants we booked (oriental, Italian, cuban) were not that great, but we had no problem going to the buffet as they had good selection and was actually really good food...and not just to Cuban resort standards! Of all Cuban resorts I've been to, this was by far the best I've had. Very pleasantly surprised. The grounds and pools, from what we saw, we're very well maintained. We did have rain a few of the nights, so the lobby did get a bit slippery with flip flops. However the workers were always doing a great job to clean it up quickly. All the workers we encountered were always pleasant. We got to know our usual restaurant servers and they would even save our table in the buffet. Tips were never expected, but always very appreciated. Cayo Coco has great beaches and nice scenery. We did spend a few hours in the town of Moron (about an hour away) for a bit of shopping and some lunch. I don't know if I would bother to do that again as you wouldn't spend more than a few hours there which I couldn't been at the beach instead. As for the beach though, bring water shoes. There are a few feet of rocks as you walk in the water, but if you have shoes, you'll be able to enjoy the beach no problem. Overall we really loved the resort and have very few complaints.

Melia Costa Rey: Amazing resort

The rooms where big and large clean. The grounds where well maintained and the people where very friendly. Amazing resort would recommend to my friends. Have taken many pictures cause the resort was beautiful

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: simple but nice

Very enjoyable place to stay, grounds are well kept, workers are very friendly and the rooms are simple but nice. Some construction was taking place while we were there but it was by no means a large inconvenience

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Not as good as other resorts we've been to

We liked the grounds of the hotel. Small resort, with all the amenities close by. The beach was being worked on, as they are sand dumping from the ocean to enlarge the beach area. That made the water murky, with a bad smell and lots of seaweeds. This will definitely get better over time. The food was bad. Hardly any selection and very few meat options.

Sol Cayo Coco: very nice place

great staff pool was great only went to buffet but they had omelette station fresh bread and buns even stewed rabbit a couple of nights. fresh fish cooked to order as well as pork and beef chops. been to cuba many times first time here and food was the best iv'e encountered so far. definitely a plus being only 15 min away from airport. beach was just what anyone would want.

Melia Jardines del Rey: This really was an amazing resort!!

We had an amazing stay at Melia Jardins del rey resort. Food was delicious and there was a variety to choose from each day. The workers at the resort were friendly and always willing to help in any way to make your stay a wonderful experience. Rooms as well as the resort in every aspect was very clean. Entertainment was great! My husband and I have nothing negative to say about this resort, we loved every minute of our stay.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Good resort

Needs a little matainence but the beach is awesome. The beds are a little hard and the rooms need to be touched up anupgrade to the rooms would make this a true four star hotel. The staff was super nice!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: had a good time

Food was good not amaxing choices but quality was good and presentation at Mexican a la carte decent. Rooms nice but could have used more water pressure and faster to get warm. Older resort so grown up w trees more than picture and very nice beach and beautiful shallow water. Snack bar deep fried and salad and fruit. Nice staff. Decent options for drinks. Beach bar very nice atmosphere. Washrooms on site not new but clean womens washroom. Champagne offered only one day we stayed. Morni [... read more]ng pastries available before breakfast. Activities good. Had a bubble pool party day. Massage good.

Hotel Mojito: Welcomed like family

This resort will have you coming back time and time again. The grounds are clean, great gardens and rooms are clean. Food is always okay. I have never gone hungry! Or thirsty!! The people treat you like family. And they are. That is why I have gone 7 times. I miss my second home already.

Hotel Playa Coco: Fantastic Return

This was our second trip to this resort, and i think we will be going back again. The people are the ones who make this resort so fantastic! While there a lot of construction was taking place however the staff did there best to make us feel very much at home.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Creating Memories

This hotel had very friendly staff and especially servers had amazing recall to remember things we liked (ie capacinno at night) and always had it ready for us. Worst part was lack of hot water in hotel rooms

Tryp Cayo Coco: Awesome resort

I have been to this resort 12 times and always come back. Have also brought my 8 year old son there twice and only place he wants to visit. Always clean beautiful beach and friendly staff. Only negative is there are a couple of blocks of rooms that do need some redecorating but still clean Will always return here.

The resort was fantastic,the grounds are very kept up, the staff was always very courteous and always had a smile. the pools and beaches were great except for the rocks on the shoreline of the beach, wear your rubber shoes. sometimes you may have to change rooms for problems due to water that is always hot, noisy fridge and air conditioner, but we changed rooms without difficulty. the buffet was exceptional and desserts fantastic. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Horrible

This was the worst vacation ever. No hot water or air conditioning. The staff was rude and favoured their own nationality. The only great thing about this place is the beach. Not worth the stay even with the cheap Prices

Hotel Camino del Mar: Awesome resort....2nd visit...won't be my last either!!!

I absolutely love this resort, I was there in July 2015 for the 1st time and knew I'd be back. Just returned Sept. 16th, 2016 after 1 glorious week...had a little bit of rain but nothing that really caused much grief. The food was great, although I do find the buffet does become a little repetitive, however, there are so many choices so it makes it easy to change things up. The rooms are always clean and beautiful, we did have some trouble with air conditioning in the first room we were a [... read more]ssigned....and after a very horrible experience with an awful man in customer service by the name of Joaquin, who threatened to call the police on my 64 year old Aunt and my 52 year old, partially disabled self...for what he felt was aggression from us....really?....while complaining...this after being lied to by him over the phone about the air .....anyway....the man was disgraceful...doesn't belong at the resort....I really missed Mary who was there last year in customer service!! Joaquin needs to find another line of work....customer service is not for him.....he even used the F bomb while speaking to us!! I was in shock....ended up in tears...after a 6:45am flight in from Canada...a good 3 - 4 hour wait for a room that didn't have air conditioning ..... I needed to have a central location room due to my disabilities which made things a little harder in placing is unfortunately. Finally, the front desk manager, unfortunately I cannot remember her name...Maryilou....maybe?....a beautiful, tall, dark thin young woman couldn't have been more concerned and helpful. She had us moved to a perfect location....a beautiful suite of all things!!...had a bed moved in for us and we were set!!! Another wonderful vacation spent at the Melia Cayo Guillermo!!! Right now...it is my favorite place on earth and I can't wait to go back!!

Melia Jardines del Rey: needs alot of improvement!

Mosquitos are the pest here!!!! never received in the minibar what supposed to be in,even told the customer service that. front lobby people and bar people are great though! entertainment LITERALLY is disaster!tevery day dancing and ballet kind of stuff never interacted with the people .overall we will never go here again your best bet to go is CAYO GUILLERMO. Beach is white sand BUT when you wanna go in to water full of stones. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great Resort

This is our second trip to this resort, it has everything you could ask for to have a great vacation. Great food, clean and above all amazing staff. They make you feel like family from the time you arrive until you leave. I'm counting down the days until our next trip.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: not overly impressed

The food was ok not great but you didnt starve. Not much variety Had to keep close eye on bartenders as they would put alcohol in minors drinks and I am referring to 7 and 8 yr olds. The drinks were not consistent. Every bartender had their own version. Entertainment staff not very friendly unless you were 20 years old in a bikini Not overly impressed

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Really nice resort

My boyfriend and I went during the quiet time (beginning of September) and it was very nice. The resort is small but perfect size to find things. The beach is nice and the water is warm. Although there were not a lot of people, there were still a lot of activities and tons of food options (vegetarian and vegan). The room was nice and spacious. Always cleaned properly and very nice. A/C worked and so did the hot water. Highly recommend for any couple.

Hotel Camino del Mar: Very Relaxing!

First and foremost, I would like to thank Eliana at Tripcentral for being the best travel agent I have ever worked with. The flight via Air Transat to Melia Cayo Guillermo was very smooth. We were greeted with a very friendly smile at the front reception upon arrival. Our room was not ready upon arrival but was quickly resolved within an hour which gave us some time to relax and have a drink while we waited. We were given a beautiful room on the third floor with a very beautiful view [... read more]. We realized however that because we are in our mid 50's that the high floors were a little difficult to deal with. We went back to the front desk and advised them and we were given a ground floor room the next day. The staff at Melia Cayo Guillermo were all very friendly. They made you feel like at home and with family. The grounds were beautiful, the pool was amazing and of course what can you say about the beach...SIMPLY BREATH TAKING :-) The entertainment staff (Edel and Lazaro) were always encouraging the guests to participate in different activities all day. They work very hard to make your stay enjoyable. Best foot massage ever during aqua gym. The servers in the buffet (Yani, Tony) were always there for what ever we needed. The juice maker (I'm sorry I cant remember his name) always had a banana/papaya smoothie for me each morning. The mosquitos were really bad but it comes with the time of year being very hot during the day and a slight shower early evening...just bring bug spray. I was greeted by customer service (Juanquino) the night before we were leaving in the lobbly as I was using the internet to advise my family of how much fun we are having...he was very kind to take the time to find out how our stay was. I arrived back home and found an email from customer Service at the Melia Cayo Guillermo thanking me for staying there and that if I had any concerns or questions that I could contact them a anytime. Overall our stay during Sept 9-16 was amazing...I cant wait to go back! I would definitely recommend this place to all my family and friends here in Toronto Canada. Grace
