Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Amazing: Service, Food, Weather

The hotel offers services in close proximity to all facilities. It is super clean and safe. The staff are impressive, enthusiastic, caring, and always delivered a first class service. The food was tasty and excellent with a large variety of meats, vegetables and fruits. There was a great selection of food for vegetarians. Staff served with a smile and aimed to please. This is definitely worth a return visit! Thanks to everyone.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Excellent resort and staff

This resort was well groomed and maintained, there were a couple areas undergoing reconstruction at the time of our stay, any noise and inconvenience was kept to the absolute minimum and did not affect our enjoyment in any way. Every aspect of this resort was very professionally handled. The staff were amazing from housekeeping staff to the butlers, all appeared to enjoy their jobs and had a smile at anytime, they made us feel very welcome which added so much to our enjoyment, for this alone the [... read more] stay was worth it. The food was very good at any of the many restaurants and service was never an issue. If you want a vacation in a place that caters to you this one does it right.

SeaGarden Beach Resort: Awesome Resort!

I had a truly amazing stay at Sea Garden Resort. The staff were excellent. So genuinely kind and helpful. I love the fact that we had our own private beach and everything was kept so clean. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. One of my best vacations ever!

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Amazing Resort

This resort was amazing...gotta say beautiful grounds, people and service!!! A la carte restaursants were great and the staff very attentive. Night life, even for ones with kids, was great along with the kids characters and breakfasts, simply great. Buffet was good but I felt could have been more selection however, never went hungry. Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: 5 Star Experience at a 3 Star Resort

My husband and I arrived in Jamaica on Mar 7, 2015, for a one week vacation at the Royal Decameron Club Caribbean.  We booked a gardenview cottage, with king sized bed and mini-fridge in our room as special requests. I am mid-forties and he is in his early 50's.  We booked our trip through Trip Central in Bedford, NS.  We normally stick to mid to large size 4.5 to 5 star resorts but were looking for a completely different experience this year.  The opportunity to stay in a bungalow sealed th [... read more]e deal for us going to the Royal Decameron Club Caribbean. The ride to the Resort from the airport was about an hour and 20 minutes, including a stop to drop people off at the Bahia.   We arrived at the Royal Decameron around 12:30, so our cottage was not yet ready.  The front desk desk did all of the normal check in things to get us ready for when our cottage became available.  At checkin we paid $20.00 for 24 hours of internet (you spread this out over the week by logging in and out), $14.00 for a safe for the week and $35.00 to have a mini fridge in our cottage.  Front desk staff was excellent, not only during checkin but anytime we went up through the week.  They were attentive, friendly and always made us feel like a valued guest. We then went off to have lunch and explore while we waiting for our room.  We went into the buffet where it was clear to staff that we were new.  We were given a little tour of the buffet and everything was pointed out to us.  First time anywhere that has happened.  Really felt good and lunch was good to! First impression was of a very clean, very friendly and beautifully landscaped resort.  Size wise it was a fair amount bigger than we had anticipated it would.  For a small resort it is well spread out. At around 2:00 we decided to take a chance and see if our cottage was ready, it was.  We were promptly escorted to cottage 132.  The cottage was fantastic, so rustic.  The main area is large with a bed, dresser, two small tables, chairs and a sofa bed/futon. You also have a flat screen TV.  The closet (the safe is in here as well) is a good sized walkin area.  The bathroom is roomy with a large shower.  You have two adirondak chairs outside on the patio as well.  These are cottages, they are not super fancy but they are perfect for the feel of this resort.   The maid did a wonderful job of keeping our cottage clean and stocked.  She never missed an opportunity to wish us a good morning.  Our room was cleaned by 10:00am everyday. We ate lunch at both the Jasmine Delta and the buffet.  Both were good, jerk chicken wings were awesome!  Breakfast was in the main buffet and was excellent.  The actually had someone manning the bacon station, which we thought was a great idea.  Never once did we have to worry about not getting any. There are two a la cartes, we only tried the Jasmine Delta, Thai one.  My husband had the Pad Thai and I had the beef teriaki.  Mine was very good, his not so much.  After that we just stuck to the buffet which was good most nights. There are lots of place to get drinks and lots of non-alcoholic choices.  The drinks are all very good, as is the beer.  They definitely don't water anything down here and my hubby was thrilled that they had Pepsi! The beaches were very nice.  It was very windy while we were there so the water was quite stirred up and wavy as would be expected.  The water was still nice to be in.  We never needed our water shoes for the beach.  The beaches were clean with lots of loungers available all the time, and the resort was full while we were there.  Really really nice to go to a resort where the towel game wasn't played at all.  Anytime of day we could have had a lounger at the pool or beach.  Shaded or not shaded didn't matter, you could always find one. The pools were smaller but we weren't there for the pools so it didn't matter to us.  Lots of pool floaties if you wanted as well.  We swam up at the quiet pool once just to say we did.  We spent a lot of time hanging out at the main pool where there was plenty of seating and the entertainment took place. There are also tennis courts, basket ball, shuffleboard, giant chess, a gym and a kids club.  There were very few young children at the resort and we didn't see anyone using the kids club.  There were also massages down at a gazebo on the beach. There was nightly entertainment outside the resort and we could hear the music but by then we were so tired it didn't matter.  This is Jamaica and the people love their music so we have to respect that they too like to let loose in the nights.  We are just visitors. The entertainment crew at this resort is spectacular.  We had so much fun with them, watching them and because of them.  They truly made this a vacation we won't forget.   All of the staff here is friendly, welcoming and just gives you a feeling of belonging.  It is different then any other places we have ever been.  It is a feeling that is hard to put to words. Prices at the gift shop were reasonable for most things when we compared them with other places. I had no issues exchanging my Canadian dollars for Jamaican dollars at the front desk or using Canadian dollars when that was all I had on me. We only did one organized excursion, just had too much on the resort.  We did the Chukka Catamaran.  It was a blast! We met so many great people and had such a great time!  I know this is classed as a 3 star resort but we truly had a 5 star experience and I would take that over a 5 star resort with a 3 star experience any day!   This is one resort I know we will be back to! If you are looking for the marble and glam of a big resort this may not be for you, but if you are looking for a laid back, relaxing and friendly experience this is perfect.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: BEST VACATION EVER

my wife and I travelled to Jamaica at the beginning of march and stayed at the grand palladium lady Hamilton. this was no doubt the best vacation of our lives. the resort is something out of a book spacious, clean beautiful landscaped grounds an incredible group of employees exceptionally friendly helpful very professional and always smiling and asking if you would like anything. Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: fantastic resort

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Palladium. Beautiful hotel with lots to do. Hotel staff was exceptional. Would definitely go back. Our only negative comment would be the buffet food got tired quick, more selection would have been better. Thankfully the unlimited a la carte restaurants made up for that.

Upon arriving at the reservation desk we were immediately disappointed to be told that Upon arriving we were told that our reservation was being changed until at least the next day as the garden bungalow reserved was not available. This was a complaint come to reality that was mentioned as common practice at this resort in many reviews we had read before coming here. The apparent upgrade was nicely furnished and large, but the constant barking dogs and extremely loud music all night long made sl [... read more]eep an impossibility. the next morning, after complaining again, we were told to come back in the afternoon - at that time we were transferred to a garden bungalow. After that things picked up: staff was overall very accommodating, food at the Seafood, Thai, and buffet restaurants was amazing, weather was fantastic, beach was acceptable - however, the bottom is quite rocky(wear water shoes) and the water at this time was very cloudy or sandy making snorkeling, which we truly enjoy, impossible.

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall: Beautiful resort, amazing food, the best service!

We absolutely loved our stay at the resort! We were greeted by friendly staff who wouldn't allow us to lift a finger the moment we arrived. Our room wasn't ready, so they recommended us a restaurant to dine at while we waited. The food was amazing! Every day we looked forward to trying out a new restaurant...and were never disappointed. The rooms were excellent - clean and modern, with tons of privacy but only a few steps or in our case, a quick swim to one of the pool areas, restaurants or lobb [... read more]y. We quickly learned that the bartenders do not skimp out on liquor! And are quick to take your order and make whatever you want! The pools were clean and though there was landscaping going on throughout the day, we were never bothered by it. The only downside was the ocean. There were lots of rocks and the water was very shallow, so it was hard to do any real swimming or wading in the water. We recommend swimming in the water infront of Ziva and doing any beach lounging on the Zilara side.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Great nice sized resort.

Stayed at the Beach Resort Mar 3-10. Beautiful weather, 10mins of rain all week. All staff were great Star Friends were a lot of fun.(twitter,breezey,chocolate)tks. Special shout out for our lobby bar bartender President aka(percisily). Good selection of food at buffet eggs,bacon,pork,chicken,beef,salads,fruit, and many good deserts. Easy to get around resort. Riu Palace Tropical Bay: First Class Resort

We were very impressed with the first class service we received from all the staff, attending to our every need. The food was excellent with lots of choices, always something different every day so the buffet never got boring. The a la carte restaurants were also very good with wonderful service staff. The beach was beautifully maintained, always clean, and the ability to walk for quite a stretch around the bay was appreciated .... to work off some of the extra calories gained from the buffet! All in all a great, relaxing, pampered vacation, although we found that a week is not long enough.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Where do I go now???

After this amazing vacation... I don't know where I will go to top this one. Amazing staff, activities, food and VIEWS. Spacious clean & classy rooms with endless places to see in the resort. I didn't hit the same view twice and didn't have enough time to eat and or to have a drink in every spot available. The beaches were beautiful; nice and sandy with clean clam waters This is a great place to sun & fun on the beautiful beaches of Jamaica.

We had a wonderful time. ....the new kids pool was great....we also love Bhogali! Staff are friendly and helpful. .....the resort is gorgeous. The jerk hut on the beach is great and the Mexican restaurant has been updated since our last trip and we enjoyed it.The option to go to the a la carte restaurants every night is a bonus as well☺

Riu Ocho Rios: Ok

We have stayed at the RIU in different locations in the past have have found them to be exceptional, This is the reason why we booked with them again when we decided to go back to Jamaica. I have to say this hotel did not live up to their standards.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: A well kept secret!!

This is our third visit to the Royalton White Sands, Montego Bay in 3 months. All visits have been excellent with the best service one can imagine. Diamond Club...We had the added feature of the diamond club on all three occasions and this included extra luxuries such as access to the diamond club and the exceptional staff. There was also the assistance of butlers throughout the entire stay. Our butlers were JERMAINE and ANDRÉ. They always went beyond the call of their jobs. Everyday they woul [... read more]d locate us throughout the day on the resort to assure that everything was okay and that we had everything we needed. A quick phone call to one of them got us service. On a few occasions, they left a fresh fruit tray and a bottle of chilled wine in our room. Upon arrival on the third trip, Jermaine had left rose petals and decorations on the bed to welcome us. They made us feel very special and welcome at the resort. We also met the diamond club manager, JENNIFER VERNON-JARRETT. She was vocal in getting us an upgrade and assured that we had everything needed for a relaxing holiday. Rooms....were clean and modern with a beautiful view of the ocean. We upgraded to the presidential suite and it was amazing....lots of room and amenities. Food....All restaurants served a good variety of delicious meals. JANET at the breakfast buffet will cook you eggs any way you desire. She remembered what my order was every morning and was always willing to prepare my eggs. The hostess, CHANDELLE at the steak house was quick to get our regular table every time we visited the steak house. Then there was RYAN at the Zen restaurant who cooks and entertains for his audience. Pools....are cleaned everyday and well kept. The adult pool has a pool bar that is a lot of fun. Our waitresses at the pool, SHANOY and YVONNE were always quick to assure that we had drinks and were even available to get us food at the sports bar if requested. OVERALL....this resort is outstanding. The employees work as a team to assure that everyone receives the best service. Everyone is SOOOOO friendly and happy to assist. The resort is clean and well maintained as everyone works together. A special thank you is also extended to ALEXANDER ARIAS and DAHLIA WALKER and their staff for going beyond the call of duty to give us the VIP treatment. All three trips were well worth the cost and we will definitely be returning next year for another 3 trips!!!!

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Best time!

We had a great family vacation and enjoyed every minute of this beautiful resort. The beach is amazing, the suites are great and the staff is so friendly. The resort is family friendly, has many activities and great restaurants and buffets. We hope to return again!

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Great last minute getaway!

Grounds were well maintained, rooms were clean, a la carte restaurants were tasty - would love to have more than 2 to choose from but they were good. Disco was closed every night until the show put on by the hotel was over, then most guests returned to their rooms with some staying at the bar outside. Disco was empty every night which was disappointing. Would be nice to have the option of seeing the show (mediocre) or going to the disco instead. Sandals Dunn's River: Gorgeous Resort and Great People

We enjoyed our week at the JDR resort - the grounds are meticulous, the food was excellent and the staff were amazing. We enjoyed the entertainment crew and had a blast with The Mayor - he was unbelievable at remembering names! Our favourite bar was the Sunken Treasure pool bar - bartenders Garnet and Kasheil were a pleasure to get to know. Crazy Chris was a great server of drinks and fruit on a daily basis. The Coral Cafe had great breakfasts and we always tried to get in Marcia's section - she [... read more] was a joy! We tried all of the restaurants and found all to be enjoyable, with the Jade being our least favourite. Our room was at first in the Emerald Lanai section but as I am short, getting into the large jacuzzi shower tub was a bit difficult for me so we asked to be changed to one of the other buildings. We had no difficulty being changed to the Diamond Building and by 8am the next day, we were in room 3109 which had a partial view of the ocean and the RIU next door...and the tub was a more reasonable height. Our room was cleaned and stocked daily but as we were at the pool and beach until 4 each day we do not even know what time it was done. One day after being at the pool, we came back and the security latch had popped into place, locking us out of the room. Within 10 minutes maintenance was at our room and the issue was resolved quickly. The service at this resort was top notch. We would recommend this resort to anyone and could have easily have spent a 2nd week there!

Couples Negril: Great Stay!

From start to finish, everyone at Couples Negril made us feel wonderful. Specific shout outs to Bellard with the games and activities, Floy and Elkie with the drinks and Sugar, Taffy and Richie in the dive shop. We WILL be back!
