Barcelo Maya Palace: A very lovely resort and setting
The good stuff...we stayed at the Palace and enjoyed premium class while there. There were 2 Alacarte's that we enjoyed as a large group (7 adults & 3 children). The French, Brasserie and the Italian, La Trattoria restaurants, both provided us with exceptional food and service. There is lots to keep the entire family busy, activities, swimming, snorkeling, including 3 resident sea turtles fronting the Palace. The suite we had 8605, had a great pool view, with a peak a boo patio opening, that vie [... read more]
Hyatt Vivid Cancun: Amazing all inclusive
New, and rooms with best views of ocean and golf course. Excellent reastraunts with steaks! The entertainment was lacking, and can be improved on. The room service was excellent, spa was excellent.
El Cid Granada: Dated hotel
El CID Granada is the first resort built by the El CID Group. It is dated and has some issues relating to its age (leaking taps, bathroom fan not working) but it was always kept clean and neat by staff. What the disappointing part was that “all-inclusive†is completely dependent on which of the resort chain you stay at. There were places Granada folks were not allowed to attend using the all-inclusive. The “good†restaurants must be booked a minimum of 24 hours prior and meals do [... read more]
Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Wonderful resort for families
My suite was beautiful and large and extremely clean with a spacious bathroom Staff were wonderful! Food was very good especially the Italian restaurant and service was excellent with waiters very friendly with our baby Pool was too cold unfortunately On the plus side they had a pool playground and playroom for children which was good And an ice cream and candy store:) Beach was lovely nice white sand and not too crowded at this time Mid December
Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Blue Bay Resort
Public areas were clean, Public bathrooms not very clean on a daily schedule. Our room 5338 had mold on the patio door curtains, Patio door lock broken, used umbrella to secure door at night. Bathroom vanity glass was blacken by moisture and mold (needs replacing asap). The Bar and dinning Staff (Roberta) were always very helpful. Didn't like how the Hotel Staff (Verona) harassed us about VIP/ timeshare prior to our check-in and wanting us to setup an appointment to meet with them for the n [... read more]
Haven Riviera Cancun: OK BUT NOT GREAT
FIRST OUR ROOM WAS AS DESCRIBED. GREAT VIEW. OUR FIRST DISAPOINTMENT WAS THAT THE PROMISED SELECTION OF FRESH TROPICAL FRUITS AND BOTTLE OF MEZCAL WAS NOT IN THE ROOM AS DESCRIBED. THE GROUNDS WERE VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF. EVERYONE (EXCEPT ONE FRONT DESK LADY) WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. SERVERS IN THE BARS AND RESTAURANTS WERE VERY GOOD. POOLS WERE NOT HEATED AS DESCRIBED. ONLY THE MIDDLE POOL WAS HEATED AT ALL AND NOT MUCH REALLY. WE HAD A GREAT VIEW OF THE SWIM OUT ROOMS AND COULD SE [... read more]
Krystal Puerto Vallarta: good hotel
Food and most of services were good, beaches bars and pools are okay . Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner had many options and specially all service staff was excellent. Locations is very convenient and near to all needs.
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Value for money
The hotel is good value for money. The beach is non-existent (rocky, shallow, cannot really swim; must have water shoes) but there are two pools, weather is good and you can do some excursions. There are shows in the evening (inside the hotel, as well as outside; the hotel could do a better job to advertise them). Breakfast is from 7-11, omelettes are good, pastries could be improved. The Japanese restaurant is good. Skip Italian. You can use other beaches and spend time in other connected hote [... read more]
Delfin Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta: Perfect Location!
If your looking for a trip to see what "Authentic Mexico" is all about this is a great spot to stay! I went from Dec 8-15/22 and they have doing some great renovations that will make this hotel even better. The "tower" (8 floors) ocean view rooms are certainly the best ones their and well worth the money! Top notch restaurants, Cafes and Night Clubs all within a short walk.
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Good hotel
An older hotel but well maintained. rooms are comfortable and pools are great for the whole family particularly children. The tennis courts have an uneven surface but playable. The food in the a la carte restaurants is good but the buffets is at best average. If the food was up graded it would be a great resort.
Paradise Village Puerto Vallarta: Amazing Resort
This resort was amazing! Check in was a breeze. Great food, drinks and service all around. The activities staff goes all out to keep everyone entertained and busy at one of the pools but if you prefer a little quiet time or like to read head over to the other pool that is quieter and more relaxing. The beach is nice and big and great for long walks. There were always loungers and palapas available any time of the day at the beach. The new Copan Sky Bar is a lovely addition to this resort. There [... read more]
Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: very good resort for family with kids
The beach is amazing at Sandos Playacar, food was good, lots of drinks. What I didn't like was the entertainment, especially in the evening: the shows were scheduled at 9.30 pm. The room was big, with balcony.
Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Not going back after 5 times.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Great Mexican resort
We had a great time at this resort. Antonio helped us with a small room issue right away and this made a huge difference. Alberto and Alfredo provided extra attention and wonderful smiles. There is plenty of space to lounge unless it's Sunday which opens to locals. It was nice to see the families enjoying themselves but it would be a good idea to add extra cleaning staff for the washrooms near the beach on Sundays. The Mexican food was delicious but the meat at the Italian restaurant was sub par [... read more]
El Cid Granada: 10 days in Mazatlan
We stayed at the El Cid Granada. Which is part of the El Cid Hotel network and 3 are close together,, Granada, Castilla, and El Moro. If you stay at one you can use some of the facilities of the other 2 (pools, beach bars, and some restaurants, not all). The fault I found with the Granada all inclusive plan, which we had, they only had 1 restaurant which was always open for breakfast(which was good), it changed to a pool bar snack place for lunch, then a reserve Argentinian steak place at night. Riu Emerald Bay: Riu Emerald Bay Mazatlan
Beautiful resort, rooms with pool and ocean view rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful. This Resort caters to all age groups. Never any problem finding loungers around pool or the beach. CON: Did not enjoy the food. Majority of tourists were Mexican, so food really was catered in their favour, which is fine if you enjoy that. Overall, an awesome resort.
Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Service second to none!
Long awaited daddy and daughter trip Dec 5-12 2022 Maya Riviera, Mexico Can’t deny it, it was great! Service is great, food and top shelf drinks are amazing, people are nice, friendly and most importantly it’s likely been the best of Mya’s days in her near 14 years. If you stay at Behia tulum ask for Manuel, he is amazing and will go out of his way - ALWAYS! Even without tipping!!! If you know me you know I hate the cold and so at home I never swim and what’s worse is we h [... read more]
Riu Emerald Bay: Down hill
This our fourth time to Riu Emerald Bay and will probably be our last unless the price is way under 1000$. We where their pre covid and was a good resort, and this our first time going in Dec. Always went in the spring but this time of year there was way to many locals and was really busy food was all repetitive never used to be, starting to show its age abit as well
Breathless Riviera Cancun: Breathless riviera
Great rooms Good entertainment Food 3/5 disappointing Room service cold and disappointed Ocean not swimmable Location from airport good Drinks good Need to upgrade food and Conceirge useless Cost was expensive for 4 nights for non holiday time Been to cheaper and better resorts in Mexico with 5/5 food This is only for drinks and party
