Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Fantastic Resort

I simply adored my stay at the Riu Palace in Playa del Carmen. I did not want to leave. The food was exquisite! So much selection and all delicious. The location is fantastic with shopping so close! The beach was glorious! Everything is so well organized and worry free. But what impressed me the most was the staff from the Lady cleaning our room (Cecilia) to the waiters in the restaurants (Mary, Ana, Carlos and Mendez) who made our stay so special. How thoughtful and so greatly appreciated. The entertainment team (Andrea) were also fantastic with all the activities and who kept us laughing and well entertained in the evening. Everyone works so hard to provide a wonderful stay with attention to details. I must say that customer service exceeded beyond our expectations. I only have one suggestion. An awning should be installed on top of the window of the towel building by the pool. With the afternoon sun, it's like an oven in there. Please provide some comfort for the attendants. Riu Palace in Playa del Carmen is truly a 5 stars Hotel. You have created a true paradise and I wish you great success and prosperity. Riu Palace Punta Cana: GREAT VACATION.

Went with a group of 5 from Jan.31 to Mar.7 Everything was perfect.Weather in the 30 degree range,food was excellent.The RIU complex was nice,able to visit other sister hotels.Plus the beach was great and able to walk for as long as you wanted.I recommend this hotel to anyone.

Sol Turquesa Beach: It was an ok place

The resort was okay and you could see that tthey were working on improvements especially the service. There are many areas that need structural work done. Workers were great! Always helpful and friendly. the rooms were large and clean. Hot water took awhile to get to the shower so we would just let it run for a bit before getting in. The mini bar was restocked daily with water, pop and beer. reservations for the restaurants were a pain and when you were at the meals half the restaurant would be  [... read more]empty. The SHOWS ok nothing really amazing. There were always chairs available at the pools and the beach throughoit the day. the buffet is the same day to day. Hot food was not something I could find. Cold food was cold though. Overall it wasn't too bad. There was Sun a lovely beach, pools and friendly staff. I am not sure if I would go back just because I have had better at the same price in other areas of Cuba.

Riu Santa Fe: Good vacay with the Famiglia!

We stayed at RIU Los Cabos from Jan29-Feb5 2015. Overall we had a good time! Lately I have been staying at RIU resorts because I love RIU! This resort I found to be huge and beatiful ! I was in building one which was far from the beach. First of all there are no elavators!!!' I travelled with my family and parents who are approx 80 yrs old and they found it extremely tiresome! Riu Palace Punta Cana: Great Resort

The hotel is beautiful, clean and very close to the beach. The staff were excellent with us and we would stay again! All reviews you read is always based on the individual, I feel people are extremely picky and complain to much when posting a review. Massage on the beach was amazing . Book your stay you won't be disappointed!

Riu Guanacaste: Had a blast! Resort was awesome!

We just got home from a week at the RIU Guanacaste resort and absolutely loved it! Rooms were nice, food was great and lots of variety. The pool and swim up bar was a blast! The staff throughout the whole resort were super nice and friendly, and speak really good English! The weather is beautiful, hot and sunny but not humid! Saw monkeys, cool birds, deer, and a sea turtle! We went for a nice walk on the beach every morning and saw some new wildlife everyday! Overall we had an amazing trip! Riu Merengue: Fantastic entertainers!

Lovley pools, oven was full of seaweed and coral. Hard on the feet. Staff were great. Went to bravissimo at ocean world. Wonderful food and the show was wonderful as well. Also the cable car city tour was great

Grand Memories Varadero: Would not recommend

Half the of toilets and sinks weren't working. Usually no hot water in mornings. Not up to the standards of a RIU. Heard the resort has been sold and it seems they are just letting it go, no repairs being done. Ran out of food and drinks. Could not get bottled water.Very disappointing.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Simply amazing!

We just arrived back from a weeks stay at Riu Bachata and it was just right for us. The people were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and well stocked with different types of drinks. The grounds were immaculate and they always seemed to be cleaning. The beach and pools were great and even had waiter's on the beach bringing you drinks. With just a couple of minor issues, like the remoteness, which some people enjoyed, we would definitely return.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Awesome Resort!

This place is wonderful. Lots of shade if you want it Long clean beach Clean rooms Always lots to choose from at the buffet or a la cartes Lots of activities Big but not too big and great service overall

Riu Merengue: Very clean and well taken care of

Wasn't impressed with food overall. The evening entertainment needs to be updated and more interactive with the guests. Good place to just relax and get some sun if that's all your looking for. It was okay

Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Great resort

I stayed for 2 weeks and my only complaint is we were placed in a jr suite in behind near the tennis court There was no privacy Staff always back and forth You would think for 2 was we deserved a better placement

Riu Caribe Cancun: Excellent resort

Nice hotel very good services, pools, restaurants, huge selection of food. Friendly staff. Good location. Nice view of the ocean. Close to downtown. Great selection of trips around and activities. Worth the money.

Riu Palace Punta Cana: Beautiful 1st tropical vacation resort

I am 52 years old & finally got to go on my "very first" tropical vacation. I got remarried in October 2014 & this was our honeymoon celebration. What an amazing resort to choose! Riu Palace Punta Cana was beautiful. The staff were all so friendly, helpful and kind whether it be by the pool, restaurants, buffets, room service. We never had one rude person. The best part was the nightly music in the courtyard. It sure put me in my happy place. "Thank You Riu Punta Cana" for making my first tropical vacation a memorable.

Riu Flamingos: Great place for a great price!

Stayed at the riu jalisco from January 30 to February 6! It was a great experience. The staff was very helpful. If you have any issues and give a call to customer service, they assist you right away. We wanted an extra blanket one night and they brought one up within 15 minutes of calling. Staff in restaurant and bars are very friendly! We had Pedro a few nights in a row for supper and he was the best server!!! Food and drinks are very good with a good amount of variety. Grand Memories Varadero: Awesome vacation

The grounds were well kept. The lighting at night on the path to our room was poor. The room was very nice and very clean. The food was good. The a la carts were amazing. The staff friendly. Entertainment very good.

Stayed 1st week February 2015 rooms nice. No hot water first 2 mornings. Stayed in adult deluxe section good thing food in restaurant there much better than open buffets. Beach was beautiful went everyday. Pool water too cold hot tub not hot at all same as pool staff majority very helpful and nice room cleaned daily very nice difficult to getal a carte where we wanted assigned before we got there. Riu Palace Las Americas: RIU sets the bar high

My husband and I went to the RIU Palace Las Americas from Jan 30-Feb 6/15 to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We wanted to go to a RIU resort as we had had our first experience with RIU on our honeymoon and were thoroughly impressed with the quality and high standards of service they provided. We were not disappointed this time either. The quality of the hotel, its facilities, service, staff, food and drinks were as excellent as we remembered. We only had 2 disappointments: 1) there isn't a long  [... read more]stretch of continuous beach to walk on at this resort and 2) our trip was marred by unbelievably obnoxious and ignorant people (just a handful - a loud, obnoxious handful). Of course that is nothing to do with the hotel. I was just surprised that that kind of behaviour went on at such a nice resort, and was allowed to go on. Otherwise, we would absolutely recommend the RIU brand and this resort in particular.

Riu Palace Antillas: rooms a big dissapointment

while the pool, beach and staff were all wonderful the rooms were very disappointing. the lamp shades had rust and mold on the inside, the carpet was split and frayed and so badly split you could trip on it. The walls in bathroom were so dirty I wiped them down. I complained to front desk, sales manager, Sunwing rep and room manager and nothing was done. I could have moved to the Riu Palace for an additional 50.00 per night...x 7 nights.

Riu Palace Punta Cana: amazing clean resort

We had a wonderful time. The accommodations and the clean grounds were beautiful.The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food at the buffets was excellent and the restaurants were also good. Thanks for a great week.
