Riu Ocho Rios: Amazing!
The resort was great! Staff were friendly, accommodating and hard working, building and grounds very well kept, and the food amazing! The entertainment staff kept guest well occupied during the day and completely entertained at night with show time!
Rooms On The Beach: Great stay!
We had an an awesome time at this resort. Our only complaint was that the wifi is terrible and only available in the lobby. Everything else was great and a good value for the money. Super friendly staff, good food, central location, nice rooms (we loved our patio!). Would definitely go back.
Sandals Dunn's River: so much fun!
We loved this resort!! There were a few minor glitches but other than that we had an amazing time. Pros: beach, service, pools, 24 hour hot tubs, staff, food was overall good (dinner buffet can be improved), good wines to buy Cons: rarely ever any change at the front desk, our first room was horrible with a shared balcony (we switched after 2 nights as resort was at full capacity), dinner buffet lacks variety, a few security guards were crooked Overall we had an amazing time and we would go back [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Amazing
Hotel and surroundings including facilities were absolutly spotless .Restaurants including the buffet had an excellent varity with outstanding service.entertainment was excellent .The reception upon arrival was outstanding, courteous, friendly and very helpful. Pool was clean and service was excellent around the pool
Beaches Negril Resort and Spa: Good resort but not worth the extra money
The beach is great and the resort is focused on children which is great for families. The resort also has many nice extras like free watersports (including scuba diving, water skiing and banana boats), free spa spending (that no one tells you about) and beach/pool towels available without cards. However, the food, the room and the entertainment are not any better than other 4 and 5 resorts that are much cheaper. The a la cart restaurant are actually worse than other resorts. The service and the [... read more]
Sandals Dunn's River: clean resort
Found grounds will matured trees, shrubs and well maintained. Rooms dated with small washroom area (had to stand inside over toilet to close door). Beach nice but not much to walk as it appears they are owned by resort and not eay to walk long distance. Food OK! would have liked more local fish on menu.
Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: WOW
Upon arrival we were amazed. Once we were shown to our room and the location could not have been any better. We did pay for a seaview and it did not disappoint. We were on the third floor above Orchid Buffet on the oceanfront. We found the food to be really good and the theme nights mixed it up, which was nice. We did the Japanese-fantastic and the Don Pablo-very good. My one complaint is the lack of stairs in the pool and not being able to swim under the bridges from section to section. The lac [... read more]
Rooms On The Beach: relaxing stay
we had a great time here very relaxing staff was helpful and life guard was always on top of things. lol rooms were dated but clean. location was great easy access to all amenities in town, cruise ships coming into port were neat to watch.
Toby's Inn: Toby resort review
Ground were well kept, room were very clean, pools were clean and welcoming. Some cosmetic/ maintenance issues could be updated example bathroom door had peeling paint, but bathroom was very clean and updated. Meals were good and average.
Secrets Wild Orchid: Overall very good
Would recommend this resort. The Food, rooms and grounds are all very good. Entertainment is excellent. it is a more economical trip than Sandals and the atmosphere is more lively. If you are looking for a couples getaway you would likely prefer Sandals. Groups would feel very comfortable here.
Couples Tower Isle: Exceeded expections!
This resort was suggestions by out travel agent for our honeymoon. This was our first visit to Jamaica and our first adults only resort. We were beyond pleased with the hospitality, food, hotel clenliest, and staff during our stay. I wish some of the nightly activities started earlier but those we did attend where great.
Sunset Beach Resort and Spa: Loved the resort
Very nice resort. A little bit older but very clean and well maintained. The overall layout was very spread out and had lots to do for activities. Good employees except for the water activity personal. We found at times they would sooner be some were else.
Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Still a Jewel!
The resort is a wonderful destination for families with a beautiful beach, great activities, food and most of all an amaizing atmosphere. Everything is open air except for one a la carte. Never an issue to beach chairs at the pool or beach. On our departure day, the hotel was at full capacity and never did it feel over crowded. I recommend the Junior suites for families if you need the extra space (addition of cots). What we love the most is that it's an inter-generational friendly spot that has [... read more]
Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Great resort -
This is a small resort. Excellent for families with children. Staff very accomodating & friendly. Cudos to Leland @ the front desk & Eggboy. I would definately go back to this resort - had a fantastic time..
Couples Sans Souci: Amazing Resort!
We just returned from our 12th trip to CSS. We are in awe every time, from the moment we get there, the views are spectacular and the pathways so fun to explore. Our favourite room category is a 1 bedroom ocean suite, with a huge, private balcony. The resort is set on 3 different levels and we prefer the top level for the beautiful views it affords. We love the Friday night galas which they set up on the expansive front lawn. The food is out of this world, as is the beach party on Tuesday nigh [... read more]
Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Not a 5 star resort
This is not a 5 star resort. Most of our group had issues with their room and room service. Water leaking out of show, poorly lit rooms, late room cleaning, no towels in room. Entertainment was poor - only 2 good shows Michael Jackson and Bob Marley. If you rode the elevator you were approached all the time about their "vacation club". The only thing good about the resort was the food. There is no cooking class as advertised for the hotel. No reservation required is a lie. For the steak house yo [... read more]
Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Resort is beautiful
Place is very nice, good for families or just to have chill relax vacation, nightlife is somewhat limited. Beaches are nice but small there is public beach just a walk away which is beautiful and can rent kite boards on the way.
Catalonia Montego Bay: Nice but time worn
The hotel was very family oriented. The fact that there was a designated adult beach and pool was fabulous as we were not travelling with children. The food was very good. You had to pay at the Japanese restaurant and for extra like surf & turf at the Seabreeze. The rooms were very basic but clean. Although we did have 2 cockroaches in our room they moved us immediately and we never saw another one nor had anyone else we spoke to. The people were very friendly and helpful. The lounging areas wer [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: disappointing
Grounds are nice, neat. Nice beach and pools. Food was better than most. 3 different bars on 3 separate occasions ran out of select drinks with no care or concern to restock. NO towel service for three days! People were angry, rightly so. C'mon Bahia, this is minimal expectations when we vacation! We booked here because we really liked the service in Bahia Principe Mayan. If half the staff were as personable and pleasant as the tour, time share sales people working the front lobby, it would have [... read more]
Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Everything it says and More!
Had a wonderful vacation at this resort. Food was amazing, beaches were great and the staff is always pleasant and accomodating. You have to remember you are in Jamaica, so service isn't as fast as you are used to.
