Hotel Playa Paraiso: Ok

We arrived at 11:15 am and didn't get our room until 3;30pm. It was ground floor and saw bugs and crab. Maintenance is not that great, problem with water in the bathroom. Towels were not replaced daily. Beach is very nice.

Melia Costa Rey: Amazing Resort

We visited Pullman Cayo Coco in August 2016 and it has been the resort we have ever had in Cuba. Spacious, clean with the best food, Also we were very satisfied with the night entertainment. We would definitely like to return to Pullman

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Not so bad.

Unfortunately, I was not has happy has I first stay 2 years ago at Memories Carribe. Let me start with the positive things about it. Beach...outstanding, beautiful, well maintained, plenty of places to seat. Grounds are absolutely well maintained. Piano Bar my favorite place. Staff outstanding. They are happy people, very kind. Pizza on beach and fries and hotdogs at bar very good. Room was ok, but AC was hardly working, that for me was my major issue. Both rooms were at 30-32 every day. We complained but they said they were having problems with their system. I asked around and most people were having the same problem. This is huge with no AC in the rooms and hot like crazy outside, you need to cool of somewhere. This should be fixed ASAP.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Vacay at Memories Caribe Cayo CocoCuba

I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the resort. Spacious rooms well maintained and clean. Beautiful gardens meticulously manicured, friendly and curious staff that we just loved, and a breathtaking beach! Great places to hang out - the piano bar, snack bar and around the pool. Only downside was the buffer- slim pickings. The pizza and grill at the beach was great as well as the snack bar at the pool. The buffet had fresh pasta and sir fry every-night along with fresh grilled fish of the day. Different grilled meat - roasted pork or chicken was very good. The beef not so much. The a la carte Asian was great and fast service. The international rest also great. Resort pets a plus!!! It's becoming a adults only nov. 2016. Oh also the allegria water show at the pool with prof. Dancers also a must see!!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: It was a nice relaxing time away.

This was my daughter's first all-inclusive experience and she enjoyed it. The hotel is clean and the beach is beautiful. The wait staff is friendly and help to make you time away even more enjoyable. Our room was clean and adequate. A good time away for those hoping to enjoy the sand and sun.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Recent visit to Malia Jardine Del Rey

I found the ground and public areas were pretty basic. The food court didn't have an inviting ambiance Food was so so. We had to stand in line to get fish Mosquito were eating people alive Paid Internet service had very poor connection The rooms were nice and clean The swimming pools were very nice and big Service was good

Hotel Camino del Mar: Beautiful

This resort was amazing overall! Beds are hard though. the staff were always happy! Definitely would recommend to all! Water is crystal clear and sand bottom. Rooms are big and AC is nice and cold

Melia Jardines del Rey: Great hotel

Melia was a nice resort. Property very clean. Employees provide great services(Tipping recommended). Beach very rocky bring your beach shoe. Not much activities for kids. Minimal pool activities. Food bring your own spice.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Excellent resort

I am glad that I choose this hotel. I wanted to spend time close to the ocean and have a quiet vacation in a quiet place among nature. Although the first two days weren't that quiet because I was sent to a room in front of the swimming pool and of the animation area with loud music day and night, after I asked them, they moved us to a quiet room in front of the ocean which was far from the noise, very quiet and with an amazing view. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and very well maintained, the beaches are not crowded as in other hotels and with chairs and shade under palm threes always available. The two rooms that we stayed in were very clean. Most of the people who work there are very warm, kind, respectful and willing to help with anything that we need. Even though we are mostly vegetarian, we always found in the buffets things that we like it and I specially enjoyed a lot the fresh tropical fruits and my daughter enjoy a lot the cheeses and the yogurt. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I think offers the essential to spend a great vacation. I see a lot of families and children having a lot of fun. My only recommendation is if you want a quiet room, don't choose a room close to main area, but if being exposed to noise and music the whole day, is your ideal vacation, as another family that we met there, then choose a room close to it.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Iberostar Daiquiri

The hotel is by no means a 4 star even at Cuban standards. The quote "updated rooms" are by no means 4 star but they suffice. the beach and grounds themselves excellent and worthy of 4 star rating for sure. We are not pool people but we did venture in a few times and ever though the pool is small it was not crowded even during the foam party which was a lot of fun. It finally took a visit to the ola sun rep Juan and a trip t [... read more]o customer service to get our first beach towels, After that there were towels every day no problem. They explained that all laundry is done off site on the mainland and that there was an issue with the company doing the laundry. The general hygiene of the the buffet is poor however. we were welcomed with dirty table clothes that continued to be there for the week without being changed. As per the beach towel issue above the laundry is done off site, however this is not an excuse. The chairs are due for a replacement but the tables as actually OK. They would be much better of removing the cloths completely. They use the black mesh things on the table put your plate on however these harbour germs and bacteria and the waiters and waitresses don't seem to be provided with any cleaning products to wipe them down after each use. This is just general hygiene that needs to be addressed and is letting the hotel slip in standards. Most of the reviews I have read said that the food was good. I don't know if my standards are different but it was not good. It was better than 12 years ago but the smell of burnt food was the first thing that hit you as you walked into the buffet area. Most times the pasta was edible and the burgers were hit or miss but stay away from the beef. There were 2 toasters and i learned after the 2nd day to place bread in the 2nd one 4 times alternating sides each pass and it toasts. The 2nd did not even warm bread and neither had working controls. there was burnt pork chop, burnt beef and chicken all cooking on the same grill so I was very concerned over cross contamination. There was a separate fish grill which always had cat fish. the salad bar was made up of cucumber, sometimes tomato and purple cabbage.We did not see any form of lettuce for the week. We ate at the Mexican which was a bit of a joke but cleaner than the buffet at the front of the house anyway. The Italian was no better as we ended up at the buffet after eating there and we were told by other guests not to go the the Cuban. At the pool snack bar during the day they did cook some very good food. The burgers were not burnt and they cooked "chicken parts" which were pieces of chicken cut up into small wing type bites which were coated and deep fried. They were excellent. Enough with the bad. We went for beach and relaxing and did not expect top notch food and that's exactly what we got.The shows and the entertainment team are top notch and although the venue for shows is small and the AC does not seem to work well they put on some pretty fun entertainment.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: lots of emotions

All and all we had a great time at the Pestena Cayo Coco.......this ressort is medium size and everything is within walking distance......most things in general were okay.......certain things need to be improved.......more food diversity,faster service at the snack bar near the pool area,more shows at night,beverages in the mini fridge,water pressure at night to wash,more animation around the pool area,no chairs reservered ahead of time at the pool,and harder beds with better pillows to sleep on [... read more]........the peole in Cuba is what makes the difference for me and my family....they have to travel 5 hours a day 6 days a week to go to work in extreme heat.....they always have a smile on their faces......thats what makes Cuba a special place for me to visit.....great medical service too...24 hours at that.......to conclude my review I would you to know that our return to Montreal was quite an adventure.....Half an hour after our flight left Cayo Coco the aircraft entered a zone of very bad weather.....the pilot called it CAT.......for about 45 seconds the aircraft took 2 drops and me and my family felt that our time was up.....lots a nd lots of screams in the aircraft.......In my years of flying I never experienced such an event......even today I talk about it and believe we are lucky to be alive.......this was more than just a scare......my 2 daughters still s of today keep asking me how the aircraft did not fall or breakup......this was more than a shake.....its a bad memory that some will never forget.....

The place in general is fine.....not to big.....the beach is okay......some areas are very rocky.....their is enough chairs for everyone...good bar service.....the pizza and grill place near the beach is okay......the a la carte resto s are so and so.......the buffet is just as good and you can eat what you like......the food in general is okay for cuban standards......I have been to Cuba often and I believe it tastes the same anywhere you go.......the pool was oaky too...lacks a little animatio [... read more]n.......the games are the same everyday.......not enough of animation time......the pool bar is great with excellent service......the snack bar near the pool is great.......however it would take one hour sometimes to get a fry with a hot dog.......the shows at night were almost non existent.....sometimes they would have a young lady play the piano or a man sing to dancing couples.......needs more night shows......the front desk people are very kind and helpfull.......the room were so and so......a little run down for a ressort that is 4 years old......no beverges in the mini bar......no water pressure at night time to wash......the beds are very soft....the pillows are very poor.........toilet paper seems to be a luxe at this ressort........their medical service is A 1....my daughter got a ear infection and see recieved great care in a matter of minutes......would make Montreal feel ashamed off its medical system.......all and all the ressort for me is a 6 on 10.....it ha s alot of potential.....needs a little more improvements in certain areas.....our last comment and not the very least is the scare we recieved coming back home with flight WG 605......a half an hour after we departed from Cayo Coco we got the scare of our lives....the pilot went over what s called a CAT in the Florida area.....the aircraft took two drastic drops and we were sure that this was the end........lots of screaming in the aircraft.....the lunches and beverages in the back all ended up on the ground......this moment me and my family will never forget......I hope no one experiences what we went through.......this was the moment of our trip that we will never forget.....by the way the only reason why we go back ot Cuba is that we believe the people their to be real and hard working.....thank you Cuba and we will be back.....

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Your Next Destination Location

Memories Flamenco is a great place to visit. The entertainment crew is amazing and will keep you entertained all day long. The food was good- don't forget to bring your hot sauces, the water amazing- a little rocky but if you have water shoes your perfect. Will be going again next summer.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Disappointed

This resort was old and not kept up with very little choice for restaurants. Small area of beach without coral as you walk in. I wish we would have know about the beach as I could have brought water shoes at the very least. The food was of very little, when the buffet was closed the snack bars would run out of food within 40 mins The overall service of the staff was excellent

Hotel Mojito: Great resort,very friendly staff

We went as a family,the kids really enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly always a smile on their face.very good service in all restaurants. Entertainment at 4:00 at the pool, Saturday foam pool party and at 9:00pm Bingo every night, show at 9:30 each night with different themes.The dancers are very professional. We really enjoyed our stay, it was very emotional when we left as we got so attached to the staff after 8 days stay.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Awesome resort

The staff were very nice and efficient. Our room was always beautifully cleaned and our view was outstanding. The drinks were amazing as Well as the bar service. The food was great especially the dinners. Entertainment was great and the environment was pleasant, definitely will be heading back soon!

Melia Jardines del Rey: Huge Hotel

We stay here from July 31st to Aug 7th. This hotel is huge!! Lots of walking, the rooms are beautiful and clean, people are very friendly with the exception of some of the front desk clerk# let's just say tips go along way with them. Buffet is very raw in scent, food wasn't good there. The food was ok at the snack bars however there are too much bird poops on the table/chairs this made me and a few other guest disgusted! The pools looked beautiful( I didn't go in them) the beach is quite the walk but it's beautiful(just bring water shoes and you' ll be ok). Nightly activities are also really nice just a bit repetitive. Lastly the lobby linens needs to be cleaned they are practically black from all the dirt and that takes away from its beauty.

The grounds were nice and maintained, but the service was horrible. Most of the wait staff refused to help out or get anything that wasn't at their station. They also never had spoons. There were a few amazing employees.
