Riu Bambu: Average resort

Resort is older, food was ok nothing special, drinks are awful both alcoholic and non, juices were very syrupy and sweet. Dishes always dirty in all dining areas. Staff was friendly and entertainment was ok some shows better than others. Not many seats at the pool due to people saving with towels. We removed towels and sat in the chairs anyway and the people who left there towels never came to use the chairs. Overall wouldn't recommend this resort.

Riu Caribe Cancun: beautiful resort

the resort is very well kept. The rooms very clean, no issues at all. Food was very good, always a great selection. Staff was very friendly and helpful if you had questions. Beach was beautiful. Would go back to this resort again.

Grand Memories Varadero: Trip was good because of the friends we were with.

Would not go back. Unfortunately we found out that the resort has recently been sold so therefore we were in the middle of the transaction and we found employees didn't case. Will not go back! Done with Cuba!

Riu Playa Blanca: Amazing beach

We were there Jan 26 for 2 weeks, 9 people. This was our first Riu and from other guests not up to Riu standards. Elevator only held 4 people. Washrooms far from the beach and pool areas. Children over powdered the swim up bar. Loungers being held from 6 am. Food was okay always plenty. Steakhouse only good restaurant. Beach was lovely and long. You are on the Pacific black lava sand. Bar staff and front desk great. All spoke English. If you are expecting Sandals don't go. Good for the money you [... read more] paid. Great landing at the new airport 10 minute drive. Rooms clean. No shampoos or lotions in rooms so bring it. Too big of a resort for our liking. Lines every where. Have bath tubs and showers only so request what you want as we did. Also requested lower floors so we could use the stairs. They met our requests. Did requests by email. Not for singles! Evening entertainment was okay. Disco fun.

Grand Memories Varadero: It's not about the service, it's about the beach

All in all it was a successful vacation. However the 6 of us will not return to the Riu. The service was lack luster. Most of the staff is miserable until you meet one with a smile... it's like a beacon of light! We struggled with the front desk to get king sized beds but eventually after wasting time arguing we got the appropriate rooms. The restaurants are pretty good, we enjoyed them. Unfortunately you are forced to wait in line in the morning 2 days before EACH (2 only) reservation. This was [... read more] enraging. Why would I waste more time in a second line tomorrow!? They seriously would not take a second reservation. On the bright side, if you got up early you could get a great lounger at the beach or the pool. Both were great! We really enjoyed our time there. We did 2 small excursions (Caribbean tour to snorkel the bay of pigs and the salsa night through sunwing) both were a blast. I was in good company, so that makes a difference. We also went to varadero on the double decker bus - don't wast your time. it takes forever to stop at alllll the resorts, just take a cab so you get more time on the beach later. We still love Cuba, just not the Riu.

Riu Ocho Rios: Very enjoyable stay

Very attractive and airy resort. Loved being so close to the sea. The staff in all parts of the resort were friendly and professional. If anything, I would improve the comfort of the furniture in the central lobby.

Riu Santa Fe: Amazing!

Fantastic week away with friends! The Santa Fe has a great party atmosphere, lots to do, the grounds are beautiful. This is my 4th time in Los Cabos, twice at the Palace and twice at the Santa Fe. Definitely recommend this hotel especially for younger couples and groups of friends!

Riu Palace Antillas: Excellent Holiday!!! Exceptional Island !!!

Great Holiday, Great Resort which will only get better! People who give this resort a negative review are either looking for something to complain about, generally unhappy people or very hard to please! Riu Antillas was exactly as advertised and expected! Service exceptional! * the Strip behind the Hotels is a mini Cancun/Playa Del Carmen. Vegas"ish"! Great shops dining entertainment. Fountain and light shows. Very easy walk! A nice addition for the evenings when on holiday! *Private tour with independent local guide Howard Folkes was absolutely perfect. About 5 hours filled with knowledge, history, local lore & legend. He customized the tour for us to see exactly what we wanted and left out what we cared less about seeing! On top of the popular destinations Howard brought us through subdivisions to show us how the locals live, showed us some of the oldest residences and architecture on the island. Howard had all the historical information about Aruba's evolution, past hurricanes and shipwrecks. Also quite comical, just not as Funny as us...LOL! Riu Palace Mexico: Best All Inclusive Resort

This resort is by far the best one that I have ever been to. It was very clean/spotless, the grounds and the hotel are beautiful, the staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you, the food was incredible and the restaurants have a great décor. The beach was perfect, beautiful white sand and lots of mature palm trees for some shade if needed. We will be going back next year.

Riu Flamingos: Solid 8 of 10

Beautiful and clean. Rooms need coffee makers. Severely disliked having to hike through hotel at 6:00 a..m to get a coffee. Disliked check out policy and inconsistent information provided by desk clerk. hotel needs a secure room for guests to store luggage while waiting in limbo between 11:00 am and when your shuttle picks you up. The bellman room is open to the general public with no security whatsoever ever. Also the charge for a late check out is massive and incorrect information provided by  [... read more]front desk. Check out is 11:00 am . Our shuttle was not coming until midnight. 13 hours with no room and your luggage In an open room was unacceptable. Charge for a late check out was 1200 pesos from one desk clerk and 1600 pesos from another. Ended up having to pay an extra 1600 pesos to have our room for the day with our belongings secure. Bad policy. left a bad impression on our last day. Sunwing and hotel need to work something out to better accommodate the guests with late flights.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Beyond expectation

This was the best trip I have ever had. The best food, the best entertainment, the best room, the best staff I could keep going. We were planning our next trip there while we were still there. If anyone has anything to complain about this place it is because they can't be pleased with anything because not a single thing was wrong here. If you want the true meaning of a vacation than visit this place.

Riu Santa Fe: Riu Santa Fe

The grounds, walkways, restaurants & rooms were very clean! It was a beautiful setting. Too many vendors on the beach make it annoying enough not to want to be there. So much smoking...nowhere to breath!

Sol Turquesa Beach: very beautiful resort

rooms were very clean and well set up, dinning are very well maintained, food - good, grounds very good maintained, entertainment was excellent. Beach and service on it very good. Main bar lobby needs more seats but piano music - excellent!

Riu Palace Antillas: Had a great Time!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and although the rooms were not all quite refurbished, ours was beautiful, room 1602 oceanfront suite. It was well worth spending the extra. Food was very good, and buffet excellent. It does not have an open air concept feel but once you get used to the grounds, you can always find a nice place to sit out and eat.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: good times

everything was what you wanted busy or not. the rooms were well maintained as well the grounds. the food was the best we've ever had.the beaches were some of the best we've been at. The shows are excellent and the event staff help make wonderful holiday

Riu Santa Fe: Great place lots of fun

santa fe was great staff was very nice too all around great place last time we were there we stayed at the palace total different experience santa fe if you want to have party like fun and palace if you want a more catered to feeling less kids and food is better more variety that's what you pay for but both are great in there own way

Riu Guanacaste: “Loved the Country, resort not so much...”

“Loved the Country, resort not so much...” Let me start by saying - My wife and I both enjoy laying on the beach playing in the ocean, having a drink from the bar down by the sea. This resort had no bathrooms easily accessible on the beach, no bar located on the beach & very little representation down on the beach! This water was FULL of rocks (and not of the little kind, coconut sized and larger even) so playing in the surf was very limited to say the least. Overall, we had an amazing trip  [... read more]- the room was nice and clean with a safe, a 3 bottle liquor dispenser, huge balcony, our view was facing the Jungle (Hillside), so there are Monkeys who make noises very early in the morning. The resort itself was beautiful, and had a huge pool area, tons of bars and restaurants, and friendly staff. The Riu entertainment team was good and really did a good job! We enjoyed the shows they put on every night at 9pm. The few critiques I would make - the food and drinks are very mediocre, (My wife demanded I add "The BLENDED Mojitos were to Die for") We went to a grocery store to buy DRINKABLE Red wine for the ladies. I couldn't even finish a complete glass of White wine. There are only two Restaurants you make reservations for. You must get in line at 9:00AM to book for Tomorrow night only! The other thing was that they only give you free WiFi 90 min. a day in the lobby, which was annoying but we made the best of it. The Tour company offered many tours, and they discourage guests from booking on the beach due to scams and asking for deposits (which may seem obvious). Pay no attention to the Tour COMPANIES - go to the BEACH and find JOSÉ - Bright pink shirt. His company Costa Rica Best Tours was one of my MOST pleasurable excursions in the many I have taken. We went on a Private Tour of 2 couples, plus José & his driver Warner. New spacious van, knowledgeable guide, stopped at a grocery store to buy us tourists food & drink (told us this was THE best prices to buy Coffee & Liquor to take back home ((We saved Huge comparing prices at the souvenir shops)). My wife & I did a Scuba Dive with the on site Scuba company - Scubacaribe - they were excellent! We also went into Playa del Coco, I would say that is a must! We flew on SunWing, I sure don't like Sunwing!!!!! Two hour delay at Airport plus 1 hour delay & unscheduled stop in Cancun - not being allowed off of plane (all to allow new staff to be flown in to work on plane coming home) - Second straight Sunwing trip that was awful due to delays!

Riu Playa Blanca: Panama - Rio Hato - RIU - new hotel

Hotel was new, really nice, very modern and very clean. Food was very good. 4 pools. Only disappointment was the beach, the water was no clear and very dark in color, couldnt see through the water and the sand is a greyish colour otherwise resort was great.

Riu Santa Fe: Amazing resort!!

Rui Santa Fe is a beautiful resort with good food ! The rooms are spacious and clean. We really enjoyed this resort with it beautiful view of the ocean!! The staff was amazing and very attentive. The only downfall is you cannot swim in the ocean but we went on the Lovers End glass bottom boat to Lover beach and you can swim there.

Riu Santa Fe: still the best

this is a great resort the staff are the best .the only thing we found this time after 7 previous was the food at the beach sure went downhill breakfast or lunch a great disappoint. but the rest is ex. great value.EX PLACE.
