Barcelo Huatulco: Great Resort experience

The Barcelo Huatulco is one of the best resorts that we have stayed at. The all inclusive travel package offered by WestJet is certainly the way to go. The resort grounds are immaculate, the beach is fantastic, food and drink are readily available, and service is one of the resort's best features. In all, a great experience.

Riu Emerald Bay: Excellent vacation resort

Riu Emerald Bay Mazatlan is a great place to for if you're looking to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Great staff, friendly people and quiet. Beautiful grounds, rooms are spacious and clean. Everyone was welcoming and helpful.

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Budget Hotel

It was good value for the money but lots of issues like horse feces on the beach no hot water in shower, no adult entertainment, caters to children but beach was nice, adult pool was fun, grill and Asian restaurant were good

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Good value with issues

The grounds on this resort are beautiful. This resort is definitely for families . There is no entertainment at night for adults. Our room looked out on to the ocean and what a view! Food in the restaurants were pretty good. Seem like the resort was short staffed . Sometimes Horses on the beach left feces. Good for what we paid

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Definitely not anywhere near a 4 star resort.

The Hotel staff are friendly, hotel is 45mins to an hour away from Airport roads are bumpy / very bad , hotel very rundown and weathered showing its age, broken steps exposed rebar ,in buildings very poor lighting in hotel hallways and rooms, furniture is chipped and weathered no dressers in room only open shelves menu is mostly Mexican, for fish lovers great, they are very agressive on pushing Travel Plus program( Time Shares) Beach is small very rocky swim shoes required, no night adult enter [... read more]tainment, what is offered as entertainment is rather a joke hotel very geared towards kinds. Air Canada rep very poor not informative or very present. Rating Grand Palladium Vallarta does not represent the other of this chain we were very dissatisfied with hotel considering the price paid and expected much more of a 4 star resort

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Resort was nice but hardly felt "all inclusive" anymore

This was our second time visiting the grand palladium. Our first time was about 10 years ago. positives; Resort is very well kept still and clean. Pools are very nice. Staff were very friendly and the food was overall good. buffet was extremely repetitive; exact same breakfast every day and I would say 1/2 the lunch and dinner was the same every day too. We upgraded our room at the time of booking to the romance villa suite which was absolutely lovely and you get access to a very nice part of the beach with cabanas whioch were great. The Kantenah ones are right next to the beach and the rooms are very nice it was worth the extra $50/day we spent at time of booking. If you want this upgrade at check in time it is $80USD per day. The negatives; They were constantly doing work around the resort which was very noisy and relentless during the day. Jackhammering and sandblasting for hours. From the moment we arrived until when we left we were constantly being asked to spend more money. At check in they will try to get you to purchase room upgrades, and access to their "VIP palladium club" all at an extra cost. They hound you with resort staff that seem super helpful at first until you realize they just want you to come to their presentation about their new TRS Yucatan resort. many menus have extra items on them that come at extra costs. WATCH out at the a la carte restaurants they will ask if you want wine and then charge you for it. Room service also comes at an extra charge of $15USD. They are not very upfront about these charges and we spoke to another couple that was left with a $100 bottle of wine with their dinner. I would say about half their liquor selection at the lobby bars come at an increase in cost. A massage at the spa was like $200USD. I would go back again if price was right. They also made the salt water pool that used to be part of the white sands hotel and accessible to everyone part of the TRS Yucatan resort and so now you don't get access to this pool anymore.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Oceanview room was fantastic!!

It was great resort due to everything was within walking distance including all a-la-cartes dining facilities. Arrived around 1 PM and was greeted with a margarita but was informed our room wasn't ready and we could check our luggage and enjoy the facilities until our room would be ready around 3 PM. The resort and vegetation was well maintained along with our room was cleaned daily. Beer allotments were hit and miss but one call to front desk and beer would be sent to our room pronto. The pool was always crystal clear and clean with many palapas to select from along with perfect weather!! As for the beach, it wasn't unusual for a red flag flying daily but the beach was excellent for walking in either direction for kms. Overall our stay was enjoyable and would return again.

Riu Emerald Bay: Great Resort

This was our second time at this resort and we honestly have no complaints. The beach & pools are well maintained. There is a good variety of food for everyone's taste. The rooms are kept nice & clean and supplied with towels & soap etc. The only small thing is the wait for elevators even though there are 8 of them, but you are on vacation so what's the hurry.

Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Cancun by Royalton: Not worth the money

Grounds are nice, the rooms are musty and poor ac, Food is not very good. Italian is ok. The chicken at the steak house could barely be cut with a steak knife. Indian food was good. The Devore in the restaurants seem as if they were very old. Too much add one to be paid for. The alcohol is very cheap. What resort does not have fresh juice? This one. I stayed on the adult scene and was not impressed at all. Can’t get bottled water anywhere, only cups of water unless you go to your room. I have been to many 5 star resorts in Mexico and by far this was the worst I’ve been to. I would compare the food and booze to Cuba. Totally shocked this is a blue diamond and Marriott owned.

Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Cancun by Royalton: Big big Disappointment!

The grounds were amazing, rooms had a nice layout, the grounds were lit up at night nicely and the beach was very nice but very disappointed in this hotel. For a new hotel everything is looking tired and worn from the pool chairs to the menus. The rooms were damp and smelled damp we had to get a dehumidifier which helped. Couldn't make reservations it was a first come first serve, but when you arrived it was full due to people getting reservations (if you bought a bottle of wine ahead of time). The drinks were all nasty all fake juice mixes, and my biggest disappointment was there was no real juice for breakfast, even the smoothie station had fake juice added as the base. Not enough signs around stating the adult side was off limits to kids as i seen them wondering in and being walked through every day. If you don't care about food, your drinks consist of only beer or wine and your wanting a party in the loud pool everyday then this is the place for you. I have never been to a resort where there was so many extras you had to pay for on top of your all inclusive ticket, believe me this hotel is all about the money and the VIP upgrade which is over priced to justify what you are really getting. If you don't really travel much you would be alright with this hotel, but if you are a seasoned traveler then don't waste your money on this hotel. The grounds are a 5* but the food, drinks, service is definitely a 4 star. I have never left a review before and i travel twice a year to Mexico to 5 star hotels including Hard Rock, Royalton, Moon Palace believe me this is not coming from a picky person. I was not unhappy to leave.... the weather was nice all week thank goodness for that.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Still Great Resort

Our first visit back to BP Sian Ka'an since Covid and it's still a favourite. It's adults only and totally laid back and low key. We want to chill, relax and enjoy good service and food. If you're looking for a lively, high energy vacation this resort is NOT for you. Be aware that it is about 1.5 hour drive from Cancun airport and is not on the beach. There is a beach section reserved for Sian Ka'an and there are mini trains that run throughout the resort, but certainly not ideal if you'r [... read more]e a beach person. Some people are still surprised when they learn it's on right on the beach! The service at the resort is excellent as is the food at the 2 a la carte restaurants and buffet. In addition you can eat at any of the other 3 BP resorts on the property. Lots of variety and flexibility. Overall great resort.

Grand Sunset Princess: Unique Experience

Rooms were OK,but the WiFi in the rooms can be improved. The beach front is almost eroding for the resort we chose. Lots of stones and pebbles. The beach during night is poorly illuminated. These days many people are vegetarian and hence some more.menu for these people is required, specially if it cod be for Indians and S.E Asians

Tukan Hotel Playa Del Carmen: maskless

its good because all the access is outdoors and this allows for less spread of illness such as covid. i had a great time with no mask the entire week. the locastion was good and food was great. i loved the staff so much,

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Great Vacation!

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful! Could use an adult pool. A very family friendly resort so definitely could use a 2nd pool! Need a couple of better a la carte restaurants.

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Awesome

Had a fabulous week at the Krystal Altitude Hacienda. We had a double room in the Hacienda, clean, comfortable bed, huge shower, excellent housekeeping service. The pool was beautifully clean and well maintained. Had family members who stayed on the family side. That side of the resort is under renovation and was not yet to the point of the Hacienda side. There were workers working hard to get the renovations completed. The staff were so friendly! and always willing to help out in any wa [... read more]y they could. Service was excellent Food… this is an area for improvement. The buffet was generally very good. The al a cart restaurants all needed help with their menu. Presentation was beautiful but not successfully prepared. Santos at the lobby and the recreation guy were exceptional.

Riu Flamingos: RIU JALISCO PTV MEXICO

THE HOTEL WAS NICE AS FAR AS HOTELS GO ,,, HOWEVER THEY HAVE ALOT OF THEIVES COMING IN UNDER THE RUES OF TOURISTS AND THEY SIT AROUND THE POOLS LOOKING FOR EASY TARGETS , DONT DRINK WITH THE LOCALS DONT LEAVE UR DRINKS OR CHILDREN UNATTENDED AND NEVER FLASH CASH ,, WE WATCHED 2 CANADIAN GUYS OVER INDULGING AT THE POOL BAR AND I RECOGNISED THE SCOPERS WATCHING THEM , I WARNED THEM I BELEIVED THEY WERE BEING SET UP , AND THEY SAID OH WERE BIG BOYS WERE OK ,LOLOL SURE THEY WERE ! Decameron La Marina: Fun vacation

This hotel is smaller but has all the amenities we needed . Kayaks , paddle boards , not a lot of events at the pool but we were ok with that . Rooms were clean , showers hot , public areas clean! Food that should be cold was kept on ice! Not a ton of variety but lots of it , fresh salads and fruit. One downfall was one front desk employee did not speak ANY English , hopefully that was rectified . All other staff were pleasant and helpful. Royal Hideaway Playacar: Beautiful resort

Wow, what an unexpected pleasure this resort was. Our room was on the second level first villa closest to the hotel. Very quiet and a garden view that was tranquil and serene. What can I say about the restaurants other than all were absolutely fabulous. Presentation, taste, wide choices and wonderful service were sure to please any palate. The beach was lovely and clean. The grounds and landscaping were beautiful and there are several quiet pools throughout. The staff were amazing and friendly and always courteous. My only complaint for this resort is that dinner reservations had to be made for all. Your concierge is more than happy to walk you through this and make suggestions. Book early for the Asian cuisine as it is popular and was so amazing. The good presentation was gorgeous and delicious. Offsite excursions were booked with Carlos our AirTransit representative. It was the first time for all of us (two couples) at this hotel and we would definitely reconsider returning.

Haven Riviera Cancun: beautiful resort

The hotel, public area, rooms, swimming pool, pool bar and room service were excellent. since the rooms are far from the restaurant and other public places they need to have a golf cart to take people who have difficulties walking like in other resorts. we didn't have any difficulties but I saw others that had a problem walking. The food, except the Mexican cuisine the rest was awful.
