Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Overall property very good

The grounds are always very well kept, staff is friendly, food excellent. Ambar Blue needs a refresh. Check out the new Fantasia section it's amazing, brand new, the lobby, the hotel, the restaurants, everything about this section is stunning. This was our 3rd trip to this resort, first in the Punta Cana Section, then Ambar Green, and our last trip Ambar Blue. Location of Blue is very good, but is much older. Had a ton of fun doing the aqua spin class and the surf yoga - both were excellent  [... read more]and are at Ambar Green pool. Don't miss it. We will return to try Fantasia next trip.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazingly huge yet intimate resort!

Loved that we could take advantage of entire property because we stayed on the luxury Ambar Green side! So unbelievably clean and beautiful everywhere. The A.G side was quiet and relaxing...and we loved the entertainment each night. Never had trouble finding loungers poolside or beach!

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Nice quiet vacation

This resort was just what we asked for. A place to relax and enjoy the sun/shade. Our Sea view Villa was quiet, spacious and very clean. The pools and beachfront bar were excellent. We enjoyed the fact that shade trees/ umbrella's were common at each pool/ beach. The main buffet had theme evenings and the food was good. Depending on which area of resort you stayed , there could be many stairs for the active vacationer, BUT free shuttles ran from each area regularly to the main hotel or room [... read more]s if you wanted to ride. Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Fabulous vacation !!!

We had an excellent stay in Punta Cana at The Luxury Grand Bahia Principe Esmerelda. We visited Jan 20-29th 2017 and will definitely return. It sure is a large resort but we never felt crowded and everyone was happy to help. Tripcentral is a good agent to book with and we were really pleased with our booking.

Très beau resort. La section adulte était plus calme. Très bien mangé, plage magnifique. Dommage que plusieurs viennent y réserver des places aux aurores... on trouvait des chaises à toute heure mais un peu plus loin. Seul hic du voyage, comme c'est grand, il y a du bruit: le soir des fêtards qui reviennent bruyamment à leur chambre, au matin, des gens qui sortent en claquant la porte, le personnel de l'hôtel qui décide de brosser le plancher des couloirs à 8h du matin... on était pr [... read more]ès du lobby et des show y sont présentés jusqu'à 22h30! Impossible de se reposer avant, on les aurait cru dans notre chambre.... Pour les resto à la carte, les meilleurs sont toujours pris.... heureusement que le buffet est très varié et excellent. The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Interesting view

This hotel was well kept and very clean. We up graded to golden junior suite when booking. Extra space in room and beach towels there, also one extra a la carte but we cancelled to go to buffet. A la carte nice enough. Most days pool lounge avaiable(three pool areas plus beach). Definitely not mobile friendly! Stairs to everything. Good if your looking for stair exercise!Shuttle avaiable to the door. Some elevators.Not very user friendly as you have to go down halls, up stairs, around the p [... read more]ool, etc. to get to buffet, lobby, etc. But weather was beautiful, meet some great friends. You can see town across the bay, boats, and quiet bay on other side.Overall holiday was enjoyable!

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Paradise with a few tiny flaws

We went to Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa on January 4th for a week. The resort itself is really beautiful. The grounds were always clean and the trees and bushes were contantly trimmed which gave us some amazing views and pictures from every part of the hotel. It is a smaller resort so it had more of a relaxed vibe to the place but it also allowed you to get beach/pool chairs easily. Coming from Grand B [... read more]ahia Principe Coba in Mexico, our standards were really high and Cayacoa did a good job of keeping on par. As for a few of the low points. Point one, the staff's english skills were lacking. It felt like any question i asked just went over their heads. Point two, the Grand Bahia market/shops in town. They have a trolley setup that takes you from the hotel to the shops in town every hour. They had these same shops in Mexico and they were great. Cayacoa had these shops but when we got there, they were all closed or boarded up. Other than that, the resort, the weather, and the drinks were perfect.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Awesome resort

One of the best resort I have been in a long time. Friendly, clean, excellent food, A la carte were good and for once not difficult to booked compared to other resorts that we have been to. I'm a whimp, when dealing with pools, I like a heated pool but it wasn't the case but still ok. The only thing for us, that we did not like wasn't with the resort but with the distance from the airport and the 1.5 hrs ride after a 6.5 hour flight. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Mother Daughter Trip

This is my second time at this resort with my mom. We like staying at the Sian Kan side because the food is amazing and the service is great. It is a nice quiet Zen resort but you can take a trolley to the other resorts if you want more entertainment etc. The food was very delicious at the Maiko, Aluxe gourmet and the Gourmet Arlequin. I also enjoyed the seafood restaurant. The food and drinks were exceptional. It is a very large resort so expect to be walking a lot or waiting for trolleys somet [... read more]imes 15 minutes plus. There was a lot to do at the resort and we were never bored. If you needed anything the staff would help you right away. We had a fantastic time and always enjoy ourselves at the Bahia Principe resorts!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Luxury Bahia Principe Needs Improvements

Rooms need attention ex. loud AC, leak from above bathroom, outdated showers, lack of light in the bathroom. (Block 24) They were cleaned well daily, some items missing but brought promptly when asked. Natural pillows not available even though shown in their pillow menu. Grounds are beautifully maintained. Polls are very nice. Towels always available. Water in the pools was to cold. The speakers are extremely loud. The daily jerk pork or chicken BBQ is the best ever. Bars are very good but need more stuff. The worst experience was with making restaurant reservation. Twice a day for 7 days to get the reservation even though we stared the reservation the same day we arrived. This time we should spent on the beach not at the reservation desk. We have had a buffet 3 times a day. The evening should be at the restaurant without running back a forth to the buffet. The beach is very nice and clean. Although we liked the resort I would not go back. The restaurant ordeal is the deal breaker.

This resort was by far the best that we have been to in years. The staff were friendly & courteous at all times, from the bus driver to the server on the beach. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Six Visits Prove Sian K'an Is A Charm

This was our 6th trip to Luxury Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an. After trying numerous other resorts on the Mayan Riviera, other parts of Mexico and the Caribbean, we continue to return here. The food is excellent, the accommodation is great - particularly the two story suites with the hot tub on the roof, and the service is excellent. This place was excellent. It was clean and kept clean daily. The room was spacious with a great view of the pool and beach area. The staff was always eager to help with a smile. The beach area was long enough for everyone and always had a lounging chair ready everyday. It was great to walk the beach and grounds.with beautiful palm trees and such.Highly recommend this resort. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Nice place!

The Ambar Green was a nice place for what we paid. Rooms were big. The food and selection was great. The a la cartes had some really nice food also. The beach was busy but kept clean. The service was good. We did find the rooms rather noisy at night from other guests but such to be expected because they gave us main floor right in front of the pool. Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great Resort & Amazing Staff!!!

The resort grounds were very well kept, the gardens are beautiful the property is very clean. They work very hard on keeping it so. The hotel itself could use a little more maintenance as far as repairs go. The cleaning staff for the rooms do a great job with the turn around time they have. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing Resort!!!

We were upgraded to the Grand Bahia Fantasia. The service was amazing at bars and restaurants. Since this property is new everything was in tip top shape. The beach was beautiful. We had access to all of the Grand Bahia Hotels in the complex. Pools were nice, only downfall is the pool swim up bar is in the shade. Nightly shows were excellent, Michael Jackson, Cirque du Soliel type show. Since this hotel is geared more towards families it is quiet after 11:00pm. You just have to go  [... read more]to the main resort Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana for night life. There is shuttles that run very good to take you back and forth to the beach and to main resort. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Glad to be home!!

We left on Sunday, our flight went off without any issue. We landed in DR at around 120pm. From the moment we landed and got off the plane we felt like herded animals without any direction. It took us 3 hours to get to the resort. No one told us where to go, we kinda had to figure out where we were going. We got on the bus that was taking us to the resort and got handed an envelope with a room number and the key. The bell desk got us to our room. As soon as we got into our room three and a half [... read more] hours after landing we knew that we were not going to enjoy it. We figured out that the resort was bigger than anyone can imagine and our room smelt like mold and ammonia. We kindly asked to change our room as it was on the second floor and my husband is handicapped and stairs were an issue for him. So two days later we get into a room one the first floor but again the room stunk like mold and ammonia. On our first night we went to the buffet and saw a variety of food however none of the food had any flavour. Breakfast was another treat the bread was stale and the toasters did not work properly. My husband was stuck eating omelettes for 7 days and tomatoe and oil for lunch and dinner. The seafood was all mush and smelled like it was days old. We were extremely disappointed as this was our first trip since my husband suffered a stroke 6 years earlier. I honestly would not consider this resort as 5 star as they claim, we would not give it more than 2.5. Our flight back came with more trouble as we sat in the plane for two hours as they tried to fixed a spoiler on the plane. Air transat did not offer any food just warm water. I would not recommend this resort to my enemies.
