Melia Jardines del Rey: Great resort

I thought the hotel was great!!! The staff were really approachable and willing to help you!! I liked the beach being nice and close to the hotel I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends Looking forward to going back to Cuba

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Pestana Cayo Coco Amazing !!

Single parent taking kids for the first time to the ocean, Cuba! The hotel staff were wonderful, courteous, helpful, very kind, nice people. The only negative thing that I could say was one of the reasons I picked this resort was because it had 2 pools but when we arrived, the biggest pool was closed for repairs, I was not advised of this prior to leaving or booking. The ocean was spectacular. I would highly recommend this resort and when we return to Cuba this is the resort we will be staying at. Around the resort was clean, as was the areas in the resort. I give this resort a 5* and my kids agree with me as well, I asked them if they would like to stay at another resort to see something different when we come back to Cuba but they both said NO they really liked Pestana and the people and want to come back here, and if my kids are happy, I am a happy Mom!

Sol Cayo Coco: Enjoyable Stay

We had a relaxing , enjoyable stay at Sol Cayo Coco. The gardens are beautiful , very well kept. As for the rooms, very clean. Our room was ocean view, and quiet area. The rooms are getting old (we know that about 50 rooms are getting updated for the high season); we had some issues with our first room with the lock( fixed right away) and then the air conditioning. But , they quickly accommodated us with another room which was in order. We cannot say enough about the staff...so friendly and nice...we are sorry to forget the names of most of them as everyone we met exceeded our expectation. But one was really working hard and so sweet , his name is Roberto at the buffet. He learned what we liked very quickly; for breakfast , as soon as he would see us, he would go get cappuccinos; at lunch , two beers were waiting for us...that's service... and the guy (sounds like Lewis...) who made the pankake was a sweetheart. The beaches are beautiful . Since it was low season, there was always palapas available. As for the largo beach, it was harder to find a place as it seems to be more of a public beach The food is very good; you can easily find something you will like at the buffet. There is only one à la carte restaurant in the low season; but very nice with a piano player. You've got to try their lamb!!! I usually stick with fish in Cuba (the best), but I took a chance on the lamb and it was excellent. Again, I just loved the two waitresses at this restaurant.(we got to go a few times...) Again, forgot the names, but I always let one of them pick for me what I would eat and was really happy with the choices she made for me... So, if you are looking for a small simple friendly hotel, this is the place!

Hotel Camino del Mar: Beautiful resort

Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice selection of food. Garden is well looked after and beach is very clean. There is a doctor's office as well. Toilet did not flush, and one of the light bulb was out. We called customer service and staff came to fix the problems right away. Customer service follow-up with a telephone call to find out whether the problems have been looked after. Hotel Playa Paraiso: I loved it at Pestana!

We stayed here from July 1st to 8th. I loved it. Cuban a la carte was our favourite, but the Portuguese was close. The staff are all amazing! Entertainment was great, too. Food in buffet was weird at times, but the resort was great overall... The beach was PERFECT! Snorkeling was so fun and there's a perfect spot close to the beach for snorkeling.. Bring little gifts that they can't get there, they are very appreciative. I especially liked Yendri in the snack bar... He was very professional, polite and a gorgeous man to look at ( hehe)... The lobby at night is full of fun.. Have a cappuccino, beer, pina colada, whatever.. It's all good. We had an amazing vacation thanks to Pestana.... We will see you again next year! Can't wait.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: A good second time

Stayed here for five nights, for the second time, with my partner. In summary: the resort is very clean, friendly staff, exceptional beach, nice rooms, and quiet. For the price you just can't beat this place. I've been to similarly rated and priced places in Cuba and Memories Flamenco trumps them all. Two reasons not rated "very-good": - the performers use the gym / fitness centre. Both times I've visited this resort the staff members are using the gym. I understand that the perfor [... read more]mers need to stay fit, but I really don't like working out in a small gym with three shirtless staff members taking up almost all the equipment when I've paid for the privilege. In fact, there wasn't one time I went to the gym where there wasn't a staff member working out... Could have been bad timing. - the food is just Okay. This seems like a weird thing to complain about, and many chalk this up to, "it's just Cuba, they don't have the resources, etc.,", but it's really average. This was a vacation from a two month research trip in Bangladesh and the food was much better in a country with considerably less development. I've also been to other places in Cuba with much better food too. These two things are in no way deal breakers and I will absolutely go back to Memories Flamenco. I would not hesitate to book here.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Memories Caribe Cayo Coco

Our arrival on the first day was a bit disappointing as there was a huge thunderstorm with lightning and we were told to go to our room and wait for for the bellboy to deliver our luggage. The key didn't work so we stood there for over 20 minutes waiting. Finally we saw one of the workers and told him our problem. Was quite a first experience. However the staff was very friendly. The food could be better. The beach was the most beautiful out of all the resorts we have been in Cuba. We would definitely go back to Cayo Coco but not Memories Caribe.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Not well maintained

We went with a 4 month old baby. The grounds were very poorly maintained. The service was not very good - it took a looooong time to get anything we asked for (ie. basic items delivered to our room). Most of the staff was not very welcoming nor pleasant.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Lovely resort

This a lovely resort. It is very clean from the rooms which were ready for us when we got there. It is fairly new and the gardeners are planting new plants through the resort. The public washrooms are also very clean and lots of toilet paper. The Lobby is kept clean also, cleaning up when people leave their table. The dining area is clean and the food was the best we ever had in Cuba. The omelets were great. The Lamb was great. The Special Restaurants were all excellent , the beef was go [... read more]od and tender. Everything was delicious and I'm a picky eater. Lots of bars and clean. The pools are very clean all of them. The entertainment was good too. The staff is kind and friendly willing to help. If you have mobility problems there are carts that will take you around, there are also lots of sitting areas to rest. I look forward to taking some of my friends back with me next year.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort (better entertainment needed)

Beautiful, well kept resort. Breathtaking white sandy beach. Descent pools and delicious food. No disco on-site and little daytime entertainment. Quiet, secluded resort that's family/couple oriented. Poor option if you also want to party, explore, or properly experience Cuban culture.

Melia Cayo Coco: Great resort !

Grounds are very well maintained, food very good and fresh ,variety , rooms spacious and clean , staff excellent! This is a very quiet resort, a bit older crowd, very relaxing! Beach was excellent !

Hotel Camino del Mar: Its a great Resort

The hotel was very clean. The room was nice, the maid was very friendly and looked after our needs. The fridge was restocked with drinks every day. We had bathrobes and beach towels in the room. The food was very good and plentiful. The specialty restaurants were great, especially the international restaurant. Service was excellent, the entertainment was great. Most of the staff spoke English and French. We felt very comfortable and relaxed. We are planning on going back again.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Beautiful stay

Clean rooms and grounds. Perfect beach. Great food and drinks. Staff are first rate! Lots of good fishing and snorkeling.Bike rides were fun and atv and scooter rentals are available. Also nearby horseback riding. Hobie cat sailboats and speedboats also for rent. So always something to do. If your hobby is drinking then you will be very happy for sure! And you have to try a good cuban cigar even if you dont smoke.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Cuba 2016

Smaller hotel that is right on the beach and has a lovely swim up bar pool. The food is decent and has lots of selection. For the rooms you will want to request an remodeled room. The snack bar does not exist anymore it is in the hotel lobby bar where you have a selection of sandwiches after 11pm.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Good for your buck

Resort is under renovation and I'm sure it will get better in due time. Beach is awesome. Food is surprisingly good. We had an Oceanview Bungalow which is about 10m from the beach..it was great! Downside is, the bed and pillows are so uncomfortable. Beach is beautiful. Kite surfers entertained us in the afternoon. We didn't get our beach towels until the 3rd day coz they didn't have clean ones. Majority of the workers are very friendly, esp. Yoexy from lobby bar, Maximo our house keeper, Maria t [... read more]he masseuse and Janetty from a la carte restaurant. There was an old Gardiner who greats you daily and very friendly (didn't get his name). We rented an ATV and a car on 2 separate occasions just to get out of the resort/island, as the island is strictly resorts. Playa Pilar is a must see! By far one of the best beach. We went 3x!

The hotel staff is very friendly. food was OK, really enjoyed the 24 hours snack bar.. Beach not good at all rocks everywhere, how do they expect us to get in without hurting your feet ? would definitely go back again.

Melia Jardines del Rey: extraordinary trip

Every personnel were friendly and professional, room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. the only thing which I complained was too many mosquitos but this is the wet season in Cuba. NO doubt about it...Food was great, A La Carte dinner was delicious especially seafood a la carte. Most food were natural without chemical marinated with its own flavor. Hotel Camino del Mar: Beautiful resort

This resort was fantastic. Beautiful grounds great staff and the most amazing beach I have ever seen. The food was good , having been too Cuba several times this was the most comfotuble resort size wise, everything is well laid out . Check in was quick and welcoming. usually after a week I'm ready to go home ,but not this time , I was very sad to leave this beautiful place ! Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Another great time

This resort is quaint and beautiful. I love it here to just get away from the rat race and recharge. Good is adequate. You won't starve. Bungalows on the beach are fantastic. Took my adult kids, did the swim with the dolphins. Amazing!
