Barcelo Maya Riviera: Amaizing resort!

It was our second visit to this resort. It actually looks more as luxury hotel then resort. Very neat, clean and tidy! All organized well with no issues. All concerns should they occur may be addressed promptly. Service was impeccable. Food variety was plenty. Restaurant booking was easy, and food was amazing! Good quality strong drinks, decent cocktails. Definitely, will be back again.

Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: Amazing resort

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Paradise in Mayan Riviera

We decided to splurge a bit for our honeymoon and booked here at Secrets Maroma. This hotel was absolutely beautiful. From the hotel grounds to the rooms, food, beach, people...it was wonderful. Hotel staff were lovely and always made sure you were taken care of. The most gracious people. If you want to be spoiled and pampered, this is the place to go. I cannot wait to return. It's a bit pricey but worth every penny.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: great staff!

it was nice to see that people have moved on with covid and we were able to enjoy ourselves ,still a few wearing masks wich is fine if that's what they prefer, but at least we had the choice! Excellent service, the staff was very friendly and always smiling ,something that we haven't seen in a while being from Canada I would recommend iberostar and will return in the future

Oh Cancun The Urban Oasis: Not Amazing

We would rate Oh Hotel Urban Oasis a 2*. It is promoted as a 4*, which is very deceiving. The place had curb appeal and the lobby was nice, but the rest was a 2*. We have never stayed at a two star, but I believe a 2 would be more accurate. The room is so small, dated and depressing. I had a baby salamander in the shower one morning. The air conditioning was cool enough but noisy. The sheets and towels were stained, and old. Don’t know what is in the pillows, but it felt like they we [... read more]re stuffed with old rags. The free breakfast was terrible. I would not have paid money for it. We paid to eat in the restaurant two dinners, which were only okay. They didn’t have red wine, only white and the wait time was approximately 25 or 30 minutes with only 3 of us in the restaurant. We only stayed two nights out of 7 and spent the rest of the time at the RIU Palace Kulkukan in Hotel zone. The Oh Cancun is downtown in a rough area. The Coffee shop in the Oh Cancun is nice, but the coffee did not taste like coffee - very watered down. The palm trees are lovely out back. The pool is ok - needs repair work and the one ladder is junk. The drinks at the pool bar are sugary and watered down - to be fair, we only had one each and neither of us enjoyed it. Melia Puerto Vallarta: Amazing

Great staff, food, drinks and very clean. Views are stunning. Could use more lounge chairs and definitely more hand sanitizers outside elevators and throughout resort. Is there a discount for repeat guests?

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: The Amazing Iberostar Grand Paraiso

This was my 2nd visit to this resort and it never fails to impress. They really know how to take care of their guests. Rooms are beautifully maintained daily, beds are comfortable, food is top notch from pool side to Buffets to the A la Carte restaurants. Star team puts on spectacular evening shows , lobby bar entertainment and daytime Poolside games and music are so fun. The oceanfront is breathtaking to view and warm to swim and ride the waves. Will definitely return again !

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Great resort

The resort was excellent, top to bottom. Safe, secure, clean. Great staff, great food, great location. It was our first time coming into Cancun as we generally go down the Mayan riviera. I was please try surprises . I would highly recommend this place. We will be back!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Outstanding service

A very nice hotel, with probably the best food and service we experienced in all-inclusives so far. Virtually everybody was super friendly, attentive and fast. We felt like we were very welcomed there. Very good shows, especially Mexican dancing group - very professional, colourful and a lot of fun. Room was good - a huge comfortable bed, spacious balcony. Jungle setting makes it stand out from other hotels, but if you a beach person, this might be a downside for you, as it is not directly on th [... read more]e beach. Actually, the beach was the weakest link of the whole trip - it is rocky, with a lot of corals and coarse sand. I could not walk into the ocean without my water shoes. The ocean is not "open", so to say, the swimming areas are protected by sort of rock/coral walls, to make it safer for the swimmers, as the ocean can be quite wavy in that area. But the hotel pools were excellent.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: A Dream Honeymoon

My husband and I had our perfect honeymoon at Valentin Imperial. We stayed for 10 days and had the time of our lives. Disclaimer to those reading this trying to decide where to go: James and I are Canadians and had the best time here. The service was next level kind, and our cheeks hurt from smiling all day every day. The chefs made INCREDIBLE food and the variety was awesome - so much authentic Mexican cuisine and everything tasted so delicious; drinks were plentiful and delicious also! Everything around the resort is very close in proximity to each other and it’s quite easy to learn the layout of the resort; however, you will be doing a fair bit of walking to and from. The beach is sooo long and beautiful, you’ll have no issue finding a spot. There is a portion of the ocean sectioned off for swimming which is good because that part is all sandbars. Ocean swimming has a gradual decline but doesn’t drop off or get deep right away; waves were plentiful and awesome!

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Beautiful resort

Large resort with two huge pools and two bar pools. Nightly entertainment was great. Beautiful flowers surrounded the pools. Food was delicious. All staff were friendly. Only problem is rooms are not very soundproof. Room beside us was noisy and partying at night until 4 am. Great views of lands end and cruise ships.

Oh Cancun The Urban Oasis: Excellent experience!

Great hotel for the price they ask. Attentive staff, clean and cozy. Decent breakfast, including healthy choices. Despite its location, it’s not too far from the beach. Bus stop is couple of steps away from the hotel, and it takes around 10-15 min to get to the beach. We really were happy that we chose this hotel, the only recommendation I would leave is adding the treadmill to the gym’s equipment.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Barcelo Maya Tropical has it all figured out!!

Well this is the first time we were at this resort and we had a very memorable holiday. 10 Days (mid to end of November 2022) of beautiful weather - even though our weather forecast showed thundershowers every day - we had rain maybe for 5 minutes and then rain clouds were gone. The grounds on the Tropical and Colonial is absolutely incredible. The way that Barcelo is set up, everywhere you have to be (food, beach, shopping, front desk, bar, etc) is only 5 min walk from anywhere! So if you forget something in your room, it isn't a big deal to go back and get it. The beach is very nice indeed! With all the tropical palm trees on the beach, you can get as much sun or shade on where you park your butt. There are lots of lounges, but people seem to take extra lounges to put their extra crap on, so by 10 am there are none left usually. Put towels on early is a recommendation, or go to the resort beach to the south, they seemed to have more lounges on the beach. We are beach people, but the pools are very nice and they are very well laid out for relaxing as well. Great job on how the pools in relationship to the beach!! The bars are busy during the daytime as can be expected, but getting a beverage is usually within 5 min wait at the worst. The beach where the lounges are is very nice and is actually raked every morning - very cool. The only thing is where the ocean meets the beach. The erosion of the waves has left a drop off in a few places - no biggie at all. We bought some water shoes before we left - which were a blessing. They were cool water shoes - great for walking in and out of the water, walking to room, pathways. Get some!! As you got into the ocean there was 3'-5' of rocks and then sand again, so would have been a bit of a pain (literally) without water shoes. Not really the resorts fault from mother nature. I seen some staff cleaning up some of those rocks and within 2 days there were more rocks washed up. Food at buffet was really good we thought. Obviously there is always issues with buffets, but the resort has done an amazing job we thought for the amount of people that come and want to get fed. Yes of course you get the "not hot" on a few items but they had great variety and usually lots of food. I think they only ran out of bacon once on me, I just didn't wait 5 min for the new batch. Lol They always had the hot plate to hand make omelets, quesadilla, hamburgers, etc. Great job guys - Very tough job to make every one happy. Room was nice and clean and bed was good. Fridge can be filled up by just asking staff. Tv was a bit lacking - few English channels, but hey, we were not there for the tv. The only complaint is the drunks coming home at 2-3 am and feeling that waking everyone up was ok. Would have been nice to be able to adjust the speed of the ceiling fan - it was either full blast or nothing. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone and we met a few people that have been there that was their 14 and 5th time at the resort. I guess the only bad thing to complain about is the wifi. Wifi was exceptional throughout everywhere - even on the beach. Needy adult children and elderly parents back in Canada were much too accessible on your phones. :-)

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Overall wonderful experience

Overall my partner and I really enjoyed our stay at the Royalton Hideaway! The staff are truly wonderful people who made our experience even better! The major downside was subpar selection of fruit. I have stayed at other resorts with delicious tropical fruit and I was very disappointed at the minimal selection. The main buffet was also overly crowded for us at breakfast time so we opted to have breakfast room service instead.

Grand Sunset Princess: Talk about downgrading from a 5 star to a 3 star in 6 years

We where there in 2016 and bought the Platinum Pkg, we where so please , Hence we recommended to our daughter who also went to the resort. So after Covid, we decided to go again, wow, what a change, the beach has been washed away and the water is certainly not clear and you have to navigate the rocks when going in, so water shoes would help. Our room had big holes in the wall and mildew on the wall as well, we did complain the next day and moved to another room, for all of our inconvenience [... read more], a cheap bottle of champagne was delivered to our room which we never drank. There is not Top Shelve liquor as advertised for Platinum members, Absolute was the best Vodka they had and no Jamison. The food went way downhill as well since 2016, it was like we where in Cuba, the only thing you can get by the pools close to the Platinum area was Taco’s unless you went to the beach No potato chips or any munchies in your room, And in the main store , a bag of potato chips was $8.00 US The À la cart dinners where cold, Premade and average at best , believe me, they rushed you out within a hr tops, we had a Gala dinner for all Platinum members that was advertised as a Surf and Turf, which turned out to be one cold shrimp and a steak that there was no way a sharp knife could cut. All in all, we will not be going back, All the plus side, the grounds where amazing clean and beautiful

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Has definitely declined since Covid.

The rooms are kept very clean but are worn and need some updating. Housekeeping is amazing!!!! Staff as always are pleasant and friendly. Language is never a barrier here. They may not speak much English but communication is fun and friendly. Bar staff are always amazing, friendly and with a ready smile! Food is not the high point in this resort. Selection and culinary skills have declined whether due to food costs or shortages, we spent a lot more money on eating elsewhere than we ever have  [... read more]on any other vacation. You never would go hungry but the menu is extremely repetitious and is the same in all buffets. With this all being said the DeCameron is not a 5 star resort and you do get what you pay for. Other than the food issue I would not hesitate to go back.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Blue Bay Review

Pools were excellent, especially the one furthest from the beach. The beach area was nice but the water not so much. Very muddy, not the Caribbean sand we are used to. That’s ok though, just a quick 5 or 6 minute walk south brings you to an incredible beach. Spent our time in the water at that location. Food was ok. You will always find something to eat, you won’t go hungry. Staff was so good, especially in the buffets and restaurants. Grounds were impeccable and the bed was comfortable [... read more]. Room was good. This was our first trip to a resort with kids and was pleasantly surprised by how few were there. The Black and White bar needs a complete overhaul.
